.:Birthplace: A cottage in the Forest of Merendra. .:Family: - Father: Unknown - Mother: Angharad Eilir (Deceased) - Caretaker: Cadwaladr Gwythern (Deceased). .:Occupation: Herbalist (She travels the kingdoms providing herbs to physicians and making basic potions to heal minor illnesses). .:Current Location of Residence: Recently reached Camelot. .:History: - Birth: Lilith was born in a cottage in the Forest of Merendra. Her mother and her caretaker worked day in and day out to keep her from knowing the persecution of the world, trying to teach her the fulfilling life of solitude. Everything they could need could be found within the forest. She was brought up within the cottage.
Childhood (3-13): From she could walk, she was set chores to do around the grounds, be them sweeping the floors, mopping, gathering supplies, or fetching firewood. Her mother was always working on new potions and artifacts, always trying to push the boundaries of illness and magic. She was brought up mostly by her caretaker, who loved her with everything he had. Cadwaladr had fallen in love with her mother years ago, and saw it upon himself to take care of them as her father had walked out on her upon discovering Angharad's pregnancy.
At the age of 7, her mother became ill, and though she had ample supplies to work on remedies, none could cure her illness. Within 3 months of contraction, the disease killed her. Heartbroken, Cadwaladr became cold, angry that the love of his life had died, and he'd been unable to do anything about it. Lilith was a constant reminder of her mother, their appearances so similar, at times he'd forget who she was, and would soften up, before the realization finally crashed back down and he'd send her away from him. Deciding to lighten his own burdens, he set her to work, using chores as a teaching tool for magic. After providing her with a magical staff, he started her off doing simple chores by magic and harder chores by hand.
Learning the elements taught her balance, which lead her to understand them better. Too much water, too little air flow, and the staff of the mop would sway while the mop head wouldn't move. Too much water and not enough fire, meant she didn't eat until much later, as the water took too long to boil. As she perfected these arts, he moved her on to more difficult spells, teaching her when elemental magic was appropriate and when it was dangerous to attempt. As he became more strict with what he was teaching her, she began to loathe him. She was doing so much work and he sat idly by, and it infuriated her. Along with teaching her magic, he also began teaching her about Herblaw and potion making, so she could cure her own ailments and his should the need arise.
Adulthood (14-present): After she reached her teenaged years, he felt she was ready to shoulder more dangerous responsibilities. Gathering meat became her next chore, and she was taught energy blast spells to slay creatures. As this went against her ideals, and she hated the sight of killing things, this took her longest to learn. The more he taught her, the less he was doing around the house, the more she felt as though he was using her. It wasn't until she was 16 that he truly told her everything; his love for her mother, his pain at the sight of seeing Lilith, almost as if Angharad herself were staring back at him, the ease at which she learned the basics as compared to him, and eventually, the way she always looked to him for guidance or help. He had realized he was dying from she was 9, and had decided he would help her learn to do everything for herself, so she would never have to rely on another for anything. Days before his death, he told her of a hiding place he'd kept his most prized possession, his staff, hidden. He gave it to her, in the hopes that she would be able to use it as he had always been afraid to. After passing away, she put it in its place, and hid it from the world once more.
She lived alone for months, occasionally feeling the pangs of loneliness as she sat in the cottage, a feeling of emptiness all around her. On her 17th birthday, she left, vowing one day to come back, packing her belongings, and taking only what she needed, as well as her staff. She traveled through the forest, making camp whenever she felt like it, stopping at outlying towns and cities for food and drink, selling the occasional herb or potion, and then leaving once more, never staying in one place for long. She eventually found herself at Camelot's walls, and followed the wall, looking for an entrance. (present)
