In the land of Camelot there is trouble afoot. You see where there is greatness, there is always darkness coming to try to steal the light. The King of Camelot's darkest foe is none other then his half sister, and once closest friend. The woman who would seek to do anything to aid him, now seeks nothing but his defeat. Her current plan lies in a master of the sword and warfare. The warlord Helios builds an army to serve her purpose, and capture the castle.
Tis not all that the great King faces, for his heart has become involved as well. Unknown to Helios he holds Guinevère capture, thinking her not but a pig farmer he so recently caught. Little does he know he holds the woman who once would have been queen, but was banished for betrayal. The King even once tried to find a new bride, but none could compare to his love for her. After some time he began his search for Guinevère, but could only find the ruined village that she once called home.
When word arrives of the army Helios is building, Camelot seeks to remove the threat before an attack . . .

Things were chaos. After days of tracking him, they had finally found Helios, along with his army and several prisoners. Arthur wanted to defeat him with as few casualties out of those who were imprisoned and under his captivity. He, along with his men, were fighting against Helios and his. They were not as easy to overcome as one would assume when facing trained knights of Camelot. Still, Arthur held the confidence that they would indeed defeat Helios. Now it was just a matter of reaching that victory. The clanging of metal and yells filled the air and each side fought vigorously against the other. Helios was an ally of Morgana, and thus an enemy of his. Had they not know of his plan to raid Camelot . . . they could have been successful. Which was why the threat needed to end right now. Arthur fought and fought, successfully defeating every opponent that he was faced with.
His eyes would occasionally scan what had now become the battleground, seeing which of his men was in trouble so that he could intervene. As his eyes scanned the crowd, they fell on Elyan who was with a woman. Judging by the state of her dress, she was one of Helios' prisoners -- which made Arthur realize that these civilians were in the midst of battle. He did not want them to get harmed and was able to see if there were any others, but his gaze froze on the woman when she turned around. It couldn't be . . . could it? Arthur knew his mind would not so cruelly play tricks on him. She was holding a sword and they were near a fallen man -- which led Arthur to the conclusion that she had saved her brother. He watched them embrace. Ever since her banishment . . . things had not been the same. He had tried to remarry and even when finding someone who would have otherwise been a wonderful queen, someone he could get along with . . . he could not marry her, because he would never love her.
Arthur's mind only seemed to snap back into the reality of the moment when he noticed a man approaching Elyan and Guinevère, taking advantage of their distracted state as they hugged. Arthur rushed toward them, swooping in right between the attack and the siblings. He used his sword to block the attackers blow, pushing it aside before inserting it into his chest for a mortal blow. Watching him fall to the ground, he turned to Guinevère and Elyan. "Get her away from here, Elyan!" Arthur ordered, a strong command in his voice as he spoke these authoritative words. This was not the reunion Arthur had envisioned -- not that he knew what he had imagined really -- yet right now, all he could think of was getting her out of this dangerous surrounding.

It was chaos, and she wasn't sure they could survive. At first she only knew the fear--Helios army was under attack, and surely his foes would kill everyone. . . Or do worse to the women. It was not until she begin trying to help some of the others escape that she saw the red. The Pendragon red! The bright red that was as bold and brave looking as the King of Camelot himself. The golden dragon on the capes that shown as brightly as Arthur. "Arthur....." he was here, an army at his back and she knew it was not the new invaders she had to fear. No harm would come to the prisoners, because Arthur Pendragon would not allow it.
That was when her plans changed. No running blindly into the woods! No they must get behind the army of Camelot so it was between them and Helios. They would be safe there--or safer at least. Seeing Elyan fighting made her pause, and she watched as the other man gained advantage and pressed. "Keep running!" She told them and hurried to her brother. Even while doing so she looked for the knights......looked for.....him. trying to gain even the sight of him. She grabbed the sword of a fallen warrior and by the time she reached her brother he had lost his own sword. "NO!" She screamed and swung the sword, missing her target but allowing Elyan enough time to reclaim his and defeat the man.
Guinevère stood where she was and looked at her brother, both staring at the other in shock for a moment, then she moved forward to hug him tight. He was holding her so tight and yet it was not enough! It was then she heard fighting, and his voice. Not Elyan's. His. Arthur.
Arthur.
Looking back at him for but a moment, Guinevère felt . . . everything. Joy. Relief. Heartbreak. Sorrow. All in that moment. So much emotion. Elyan pulled at her to take her away and Guinevère allowed it.
Hours later, she was in Elyan's tent, waiting while he made his rounds for him to return.

The battle came to its eventual end and the outcome was in their favor. There were causalities, just as was the case in any battle, but thankfully, they had come out victorious. Eventually, they had decided to make camp nearby and ensure that those Helios had once held prisoner were well look after. They would be returning to Camelot if they needed a place to remain -- which was the case since their homes had been destroyed -- and Arthur would ensure they had aid in rebuilding their villages. As all this was going on, his mind remained on Guinevère. Had it been fate, allowing them to cross paths in this way? He was just relieved that she was alive after seeing the destruction that Helios had caused. Then again . . . not having found her body was what gave Arthur that additional hope. That, and he felt it. He would know if she was no longer here, yet he need not consider such horrible thoughts.
His plan had been to ask Elyan how she was doing, getting a feel from him as to how she was feeling and such. So when he had gone to Elyan's tent and saw her there, he paused. He wasn't sure what to say or what to do . . . never having felt this way around her. Then again, they had been through quite a lot. Could they just forget all that had torn them apart and embrace each other? Could they take the time it would to mend the emotional wounds? Arthur wasn't sure, so he just stood there looking at her, first and foremost feeling relief that she was alive. "Guinevère," he said in a low voice, softer than the last words he had spoken to her when sentencing her to banishment.
