Arthur was currently standing in the courtyard with a greeting party for they were awaiting their guest who would enter through the gates at any moment. With Uther's condition . . . Arthur had taken the role of acting king. And with that, he had already done a great deal that he knew others would not exactly approval of -- especially his father. He knighted men of non noble blood, he had made his affections known to a woman who was not of royal status, and he had not recanted either of it. The council was filled with questions, reminders about how this went against tradition, but Arthur would not withdraw the men's knighthood, nor hide his feelings for Guinevère any more. Camelot was entering a new era. He only wished that such grim circumstances -- mainly Morgana's turn toward the dark side -- were not what had cased this change. But alas. There was nothing he could do but look toward the future rather than dwell on the past. The kingdom needed him to keep a clear and rational mind. Otherwise, his father may as well be ruling.
But that was set aside for the moment. The reparations in the kingdom were mostly done, and now Camelot was preparing to greet a new ally of theirs. Arthur had never met the queen before though he had heard rumors of her young age. He stood, dresed in his royal formal attire, and upon seeing her enter the gates and approach the steps, he took a few steps toward the escorting party that came with. "Queen Celestina of Eliaa, Camelot welcomes you," he announced, so that all would hear, including her of course.

Despite all she had been through, Celeste was nervous. It was an irrational fear, meeting the Crown Prince of Camelot, but, nevertheless, it had her shaking a little with anticipation. The kingdom of Camelot and its laws were intimidating, to say the least. As she approached the gates of Camelot with her entourage, her eyes widened at the sight of the city of Camelot. It was impressive. However, the city-castle was enough to calm her down a little. It reminded her of home, a place quite far away, and the comfort it brought.
Oh, how she hoped that she would be received warmly.
There was much to learn about her new allies. For one, she had been quite surprised to discover the existence of magic, and even more surprised to hear of Camelot's intolerance for the subject. Having never dealt with it in the first place, and certainly never hoping to do so, she was sightly concerned that the fates would frown upon her and throw her headfirst into a forbidden conflict. However, she had faith in Camelot. They had managed to keep it at bay for so long that she hoped it wouldn't be a problem. With a glance at the young man riding beside her, a reassuring grin on his face, she felt her worries melt away.
The gates opened to allow them passage, and she cantered on her black horse to the center of the castle's courtyard, pulling to a stop at the stairs. At the top of them stood a somber-looking man who must have been just a few years older than her, dressed in royal attire and watching her expectantly. She relaxed a little more as he delivered his welcome. "Your welcome is greatly appreciated," she said, returning the gesture. "Eliaa is grateful for your hospitality, and I hope we can continue to nurture this bond between our kingdoms." The same young man to her right helped her down from her horse, and she stepped daintily onto the ground, her crimson skirt swishing around her feet.
