for the love OF CAMELOT It was a bittersweet event. Everyone was here to rejoice in Arthur's coronation, and he was grateful for it. But, it was a result of his father's death. Some might argue that his father had died over a year ago, but he would not see it as such. It was very different to lose him completely. Yet, he put on a composed face, and greeted all those who attended the grand event. He made sure to visit each person to thank them personally. To converse with them.
He would need everyone's support in the kingdom if he was to bring peace and prosperity to Camelot. Whether it was a noble or peasant, and everyone in between. Eyeing the crowd, Arthur excused himself from current conversation as he noticed Sir Bran standing on his own. "Sir Bran," he greeted approaching him. "Thank you for your attendance today," he stated, offering him a cup of wine that someone had just served to them.

Sir Bran and Sir Gareth had quietly come to Camelot, helping the new King mourn the death of his father, comforting him where he could. The young man had obviously wrestled with his father's death - to say he looked in pain and sorrow despite the fact he was king weighed heavily on Bran's shoulders. "Arthur... he said. "I'm sorry this had to come right now. Your father's death, I mean. Congratulations on becoming King." He gently took the wine and took a sip of it.

for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur gave a polite smile, knowing it lacked the joviality. He knew that such a day held a mix of emotions. On the one hand, a coronation meant a new era for a kingdom. But on the other, it was often coupled with a recent death. Arthur knew that in a way, his father had been dying ever since Morgana had broken his spirits.
Arthur had a burst of hope, seeing his father enjoy the festivities of his birthday . . . only to have lost him completely. And he was well aware, that it was entirely his own fault. "Thank you," he said with a nod of appreciation. "For both the condolences and for the congratulatory words." It did mean a great deal to Arthur, to have his friend's presence here. "Your support means a great deal." And Arthur meant that. Truly. The burden of being a king would not be made easy if he did not have the support of others, be it nobles, knights, or civilians.

Bran nodded solemnly, offering Arthur a hug should he need it. "If you need a hug or to just chat, I'm here for you." He smiled at the new king. Bran took another sip of wine as Gareth embraced him. Bran nestled his head against Gareth's shoulder.
