Tonight was going well! He had some money; had some women in line. Tonight was a good.........what the hell! Vaughn had not even had time to register nor react to what was going on. He was suddenly pulled off to the side, slammed against the wall. His movement far too impaired to reach for even one of his swords and the shock of what had just happened momentarily paralyzing him. It took a few moments for him to move past the surprise and notice the brute of a man in front of him. An all too familiar man. Vaughn just stared at him, before that infamous smirk of his appeared on his face. "Well well well, if it isn't the druid." Not Alistair, not Sir Alistair; but, the druid. Because Vaughn knew that that who he was not trying to be tonight.
"I see that your woman gave you permission to run along outside and play for a little while." Vaughn was not the smartest person around, so perhaps it was a bit of a mistake to try and provoke the druid when he had him pinned to the wall. When Vaughn could not reach for his weapon. When Alistair could snap his neck like a chicken. But the words had just come out and in them, as always, there was a strong amusement. But Alistair was already making demands of his own. And Vaughn used this to his advantage. To make sure that Alistair decided not to kill him...not here and now anyway. "You'll never know if you kill me," he said with a cheeky and smug grin.
Truth be told, Vaughn had not told anyone. He planned to exploit Alistair and Isadora at some point, though the opportunity had not presented itself. It had come into play when he was in Gwent. And perhaps, it would save his life now. He awaited for the druid to release his hold on him for Vaughn would feel far more comfortable if he could at least have the liberty to reach for his weapon.

::vaughn:: Vaughn had to hand it to them, they were rather calm. Uncomfortable, yes. But calm none the less. He expected the to panic, to abruptly pull the reigns on their horse and their eyes widen with fear. But no. They both for the most part, seemed to maintain composure. Impressive. It made it all the more of a challenge for Vaughn. He smirked when she first asked if they could help him. Indeed they could. He did not answer right away, but rather, allowed his gaze to linger on her for a few more moments before a male voice broke the silence. Vaughn finally turned his head to look at him. He was irritated. So perhaps it was her husband after all.
When he asked for his name, Vaughn smirked. "I don't believe you are the one who should be making demands right now," he stated. As Vaughn was currently the one holding the weapons. He casually strolled up to them, getting closer, his swords firmly in hand ready to swing if need be. "But you can indeed help me," he said, going back to the woman’s question. Though the word 'help' was spoken with some sarcasm and robbing two people was not exactly receiving help. "I will be requiring your horses." Perhaps it was said a bit too nonchalantly, but oh well. Such was the way of Vaughn. "And maybe I will take your woman while I'm at it," he added, now looking at Sasha once again and giving her a wink.

Everybody loved a good party. And this was clearly no exception. Vaughn had been on his way to Camelot, for oh so many reasons. Mostly this grand coronation. Everyone was here, and when he said everyone...he meant everyone. King Uther who they had kidnapped. His son who...they had not kidnapped. Even the handmaiden who, go figure, was actually the future queen of Camelot. If he and Alistair were still in contact, he would have rubbed it in his face that Vaughn had kidnapped the 'wrong person' at the time, but in fact, she would have been the perfect kidnapping victim. But alas, he and Alistair had not spoken for some time. Ironically, he had seen him here to. Alongside Princess Isadora, another big shocker there. Vaughn had not yet gotten the opportunity to speak to either of them as they were spending majority of the time in the castle.
Though, when they had first entered, Vaughn had already been here. He had made eye contact with the druid, and burst out laughing at seeing Alistair in his attire; the garb of a knight of Gwent. It was positively hysterical. What the hell has that woman done to him. He looked ridiculous. He had seen him in Gwent as a 'knight' but it was so much funnier seeing him in more formal attire. More so, being in a room where he had kidnapped three people. One of which was the woman attached at his hip, the other two being ones that he would have to carefully avoid. This whole Alistair and Isadora plan, was one day going to fall apart. And Vaughn would be there laughing in amusement.
But for now, he was out in the courtyard, 'conversing' with the common folk. And even some nobles who decided to venture outside. Vaughn was not an overly social person, but he did enjoy engaging in his favorite hobby: provoking others. And of course, occasionally reaching into their pockets and taking their coin purses. So far, it had proven to be a rather profitable evening. And he was just getting started. He had not gone inside to watch Arthur get crowned. It was horribly boring. And rather pathetic to see all the excitement on people's faces. He was no better than other kings. Except for his bizarre altering of traditions. But Vaughn hardly engaged in the politics of any kingdom. They mattered very little to him. So for now, he wandered around the courtyard, making conversation to whomever seemed of remote interest, and just seeing what else the evening had in store.

::vaughn:: Vaughn could tell she was getting agitated. Then again, it was not a difficult emotion to notice. That was what he had wanted after all; to get a rise out of her. So that he could now spend this time alone in her company. To inquire more about her. About her reasons for having been in that bar. There was indeed something about her and Vaughn was still trying to place it. When she spoke, it was with words filled with threat. Vaughn chuckled, finding it rather precious that the woman believed him to be so outmatched. He was going to question her; asking her who it was exactly that he was dealing with. But immediately following her threat, words escaped him. And this was not something but choice. They literally escaped him; failed to come out. For he felt something catch his breath.
The lack of oxygen made him begin to choke. It started with him trying to clear his throat but progressed to a full inability to breath. His eyes widened a bit as he put his hands on his throat. He was not afraid to die; as this could very well be his time of dying. At least it would be in the presence of a beautiful woman. But intrigue kept him fighting, trying to stay alive but knowing it was not something he had control over. Though he could not see his own face he could feel it pale, the color draining from it as he suffocated. Would she just let him die? Or was this merely a warning to him? Amongst his choking, he could not help but give a slight smirk. He was dying, and yet he would die with this expression on his face.
Forcing himself, he finally managed to get two words out. They were short and said with extreme strain. But if she were to be his murderer, then he did not wish to die in pure silence. "My...mistake..." It was indeed a mistake. But not one that Vaughn was sorry for. In fact, he hoped the smirk remained in his eyes if not evidently on his lips. Death was inevitable. He only wished he could have fully gotten to know the enticing woman in front of him before entering the unknown aftermath of this mortal world.

::vaughn:: He laughed in amusement at her warning. More mocking than anything. As if he would need advice from her, granted the situation they both were in right now. "My policy is one I have lived by. And you do not see me, running from threats. Running for my very life." Unlike her. No. Nothing ever followed him nor anyone. True, he was deemed a fugitive in some lands, but their jurisdiction and persistence only went so far. And Vaughn would find himself free from followers once more. "What policy do you live by that you feel is so much better? For by all means, offer it to me. As it seems to be working so successfully, considering your current situation." He was of course, making fun of her. Of where her path had led. First to Cenred, and now conveniently to him. Such an unfortunate encounter indeed...for her.
Her next couple questions asked only within a few moments of themselves, made Vaughn all the more entertained. Where he saw someone grow angry, he found humor. It was especially delightful to see someone like her, so desperate to gain passage and aid from her pursuers...only to be massively disappointed in the end. "Ironic. I was going to ask you the same thing," he stated when she asked him who he was to make demands of her. She had not demanded an answer from him but she had indeed asked him a question, even if it was something as innocent as directions. "What makes you exempt from such demands?" He asked, not annoyed by her remark, but rather curious. Was she of higher 'rank'...from wherever she was from? "For I see two travelers, on the same road. Able to ask whatever they will of each other. Especially when one would benefit from it." Mostly him. But it could work both ways if she got what she wanted, by...giving him whatever he asked for. Which he had a strong feeling she would not be willing to do.
As she continued to speak, he took a few steps around her, clasping his hands behind his back. Circling her, as a predator did its prey. Honor. Now that was laughable. He paused right behind her once again, standing far too close for her liking. But much to his own liking. He lowered his head due to their height difference. "Unfortunately for you, I have no honor." It was true, she could pass without his help, but he was not about to make this any easier for her. Taking a small step back he grabbed her arm, and raised his voice to a level so that anyone surrounding them could hear it. "I have her here!" Surely, Cenred's men were not lagging too far behind, and would clue in to the hint that Vaughn had given as to her whereabouts.

::vaughn:: Good. The rope part seemed to go smoothly. He asked no questions; just simply complied with the order. Then again, it was just rope. Nothing too exciting. But Vaughn was just getting started. "I also need one dozen daggers." His words were blunt and extremely casual for ordering such an abundance of weapons. He really did not need that many. He had only about half that many men, but he wanted to see Richard's reaction. Watching him carefully, Vaughn wanted to see if he detected any sort of uncertainty about fulfilling such an order. An order that could arm a small army. Well, very small army. And they were just daggers after all. "And probably one dozen swords as well." There we go. Two different weapons. It would be far more than he needed, but it could never hurt to have extras.
Vaughn smirked, as if he had no problem ordering these things. He had already interrogated the duke and there was nothing else he could really say to him in terms of trusting a duke with this kind of order. Or perhaps trust was the incorrect term. There was no alternative. He heard that Richard was the best and would now put this theory to the test. "Should you not be writing these things down? I am only just getting started." Was his memory any good? If he messed up Vaughn's order, then that would create a whole entire issue that the nomad would have with the duke of Cantia.

::vaughn:: Vaughn smirked at her resistance, saying that she had nothing to make payment with. "Now we both know that is not true," he told her. Clearly, there was a suggestiveness behind his words. A woman did not need gold or jewles to make payment for anything. They often had other ways of covering whatever costs they were trying to meet. Clearly, as she had her virtue in tact though, Vaughn doubted she would offer herself in this way. Which was why it was all the more fun to suggest. To see how uncomfortable he was making her. For thus far, it was working rather well. He tapped the tip of the dagger on his cheek as if he was contemplating. His eyes sized her up. As if he was trying to imagine the perverted suggestion he had given her and what that all entailed.
Once again, he chuckled; when she spoke of the deprivation she was feeling, or well, not feeling. "You can only say that because you truly do not know what you are missing," he pointed out. "You can not honestly tell me that you have not yearned for it. Feeling yourself in the presence of another man, experiencing a strong heat course through your body. Passion. Desire. Lust." Obvioulsy, it was not what she was experiencing right now, but surely in the past there had to be someone who caused such intense emotions from her. When her back hit the wall, his smirk only grew as he chose now to take more steps towards her. She could not turn and right, and that was perhaps the best part.
Her words meant nothing to him and may as well have fallen on deaf ears. "We are in a lockd room together. There are not many places I can go." Meaning, he could not exactly stay away from her. Of course he could be respectful and keep sufficient distance...but since when was Vaughn ever a gentleman. And he sure as hell was not going to start being one now. "I can have control on whatever, and whomever I want," he said in a practically threatening tone as he was now standing directly in front of her. Close; too close. A clear invasion of her personal space. "You have nothing to prove. Yet, you will have to warn me off somewhat. And right now My Lady, things do not seem to be working in your favor." Just to add more menace to his words, he tucked a loose stand of her hair behind her ear, just to make that contact. Just to show that he could.

::vaughn:: People were idiots. There was a very good reason that Vaughn chose a life of solitude. A life where he did not have ties to anyone. A life on his own. And it was simply due to the fact that people were incompetent. Granted, he did not expect to find the wisest men in the places he searched. But it was shocking how some even managed to lack a semblance of common sense. When one needed something done; they had to do it themselves. This policy was something Vaughn lived by. Something that Vaughn had to put into effect right now. The light rain was having a cooling effect at least on the nomad, the drops of rain cooling his warm skin from having had to walk all this distance. He was not tired, as this was the life he had chosen, but traveling with so many people slowed him down.
Which was also why he had forced himself distance from them. He no longer wanted to be in their presence and hear their frivolous topics of conversation. He had hired them to do a job, and until they arrived at their intended destination, he would have to endure their company. Well, to some extent. If they truly pushed him then he would just kill them and find more people for hire. But as of right now, he started with distance. They fell way behind him, not even having been in sight anymore. Hopefully the idiots would not get lost. Though Vaughn would not put anything past them.
He continued to walk forward, clad how he always was. In dark armored attire, and with two swords strapped on his back. His hair was already starting to drip from the rain. But it was a welcomed state of nature. As a nomad, he was quite accustomed to all types of weather conditions, this being mild compared to some of the others. Despite the sound of the falling rain, the nomad paused when he heard something. It was heavier than footprints made from a human. So it was not difficult to tell that the approaching steps he heard, were from horses. Excellent. Perhaps he would find a more convenient and efficient mode of transportation after all. A speedier way to get out of the woods and to his intended destination.
He used the trees to conceal himself as he walked along the trail, hurrying his pace. It did not take long to catch sight of the riders. A young man and a woman woman. Vaughn's lips twisted upwards into a smile. Perhaps this would be more entertaining that he had initially thought. Stepping out of the concealment of the trees, he stood on front of the two riders, blocking there path. Since he was only one person compared to two people on horseback, he knew he would have to make his presence a bit more intimidating to get what he wanted. So he swiftly pulled out both swords from their crossed holders on his back, and held them out in front of him. His skills as an ambidextrous enabling him to use both swords with ease.
"Greetings," he stated, his voice far too pleasant; an exaggerated and practically mocking tone of friendliness in his voice. His expression held an amused smirk while his hands gripped two deadly weapons. Now, how foolish would these two travelers be. Vaughn hoped the answer was 'extremely foolish' for it would make this all the more fun. Looking between them his eyes rested on the woman. A rather alluring woman if he ever did see one. With her vibrant green colored eyes and a strong fairness and grace to her. To say she was ravishing, was a strong understatement. Vaughn's smirk only grew, purposely allowing his gaze to linger on the woman, rather than the man. The man who could very well be her husband. But what did that matter to Vaughn. All the more he could provoke him with.

::vaughn:: Try harder next time? These words held many implications. They suggested that there would be a next time. Implying that their encounter now would either be prolonged or that they would meet again in the future. The latter Vaughn found highly unlikely. There were very few whom he made an effort to see again. As most encounters he had with passerbys were often one time and that was it. The exception to this was mostly Alistair; and that was because they often devised plots to wreak havoc on another, but of course not without purpose. Yet as far as others went, especially women, it was very seldom for Vaughn to willingly see them again. Coincidences occurred now and then of course. "Now who's to say there will be a next time?" He questioned smirking at the suggestion. "You will have to do a great deal to impress me." There was a suggestive meaning behind his words, but going back to his previous philosophy: it took quite a great deal to truly impress him.
The fact that she merely continued to smile, left Vaughn intrigued. Intrigued as to what made this woman so bold. Did she find herself so confident in her ability to fight? Why was it that she did not show the slightest unease in his words? A bit curious, but Vaughn always liked a good challenge. If it was easy to provoke everyone, then life would be even more dull than it was now. And well, that would just be unbearable. He noticed the hint of color in her cheeks, but it was not a modesty from a woman who was uncomfortable. For the sincere smile on her lips dismissed this possibility. Vaughn's own smile was hardly as affectionate; it was often a smirk. Gleams of sinister pleasure. Hints of his sadistic nature. All things that should make a person, and most often did make a person, feel unnerved. As it would if any man gazed upon someone in the manner that he purposely did.
Her words to offer herself just made Vaughn chuckle. "An enticing offer," he said, finding these words appropriate. Did she always make this a habit, of offering herself in such a way to strange men? Then it was no wonder she remained unafraid. Especially if she held so much, experience. "My appetite is substantial. I doubt even you could quite fulfill it." Hardly a compliment, but it made it less of a challenge when a woman fully offered herself like that. Usually, the only ones who did, did so in exchange for coin. Another brand of women that Vaughn avoided: whores. Why bother paying them for a service when it was easy to find other women who were equally willing, and for free. Kory seemed to fall in that brand of women, but again, there had to be more of a challenge. Perhaps she was bluffing, and if so, he fully intended to call her bluff.
"Is it a habit of yours to offer yourself to strangers in the woods?" He asked, a taunting smile on his lips. He doubted he was the only one that she said such words to. Especially as they were spoken so soon; within the first few seconds they met. Her next words provided another challenge. She was just full of them now wasn't she. He did not like the offer to catch her, for it was something that Vaughn tended to do when it was unexpected. The thrill of the chase only made it fun when the person being chased, did not want to be caught. "I could," he said rather confidently. "But I shan't. Not when it is something so expected, and wanted." The last word was an assumption, but one he felt easily made for her smile and overly warm personality was what made her offer seem like something she wanted, as opposed to something she feared. "Besides, its not as fun when predicted." In fact, it took all the fun out of it.
When she patted the seat next to her, Vaughn found himself smirking once again, and chuckling at the gesture. He looked away for a moment before locking his gaze on her once more. He shook his head, a nonverbal response to her non verbal offer. "You are a very foolish young woman," he said, not bothering to conceal even an ounce of amusement he felt right now. "You know nothing about me. I could be a man, thirsty for blood." Willing to kill her for no reason. While Vaughn did not always kill without purpose, she did not know that. She did not know him. And yet, her patting the space next to him made it seem like...she trusted him. That she trusted him to be in such close proximity to her. "Very foolish and naive indeed," he finished off, shaking his head with mock disapproval, as if 'tsking' her for her unwise actions.

::vaughn:: Vaughn could not help but chuckle this time at her apparent logic. "Now that is where you are wrong," he began to say, walking closer towards her. Now, he was standing directly in front of the young woman, clearly in her personal space. He lowered his head a bit, leaning forward so that his words would be directly spoken in her ear as his eyes looked off to the side, at the vacant distance. "I do not need a reason to do anything." He could give her the wrong directions, or the right ones. Neither made a difference to him. But this certainly was more interesting than just a casual run in with a woman. She was running from something, from someone, and Vaughn awaited to hear further details of it. And it seemed he would not have to be waiting long. He heard the name Cenred, and it gave some answers yet begged for so many more questions.
He took a few steps back as the word registered in his mind. He did not know the man personally, but most knew of King Cenred and his reputation as a cruel king. So now it made sense; as to why she was so afraid while she ran. She was running from him. Vaughn allowed his true nature to slowly become known, as if a semblance of it had not already been revealed by the close proximity he had put himself in to her. "I would ask what business he would have with a young female traveler, but knowing it was Cenred, explains it enough." Meaning, perhaps he was using her for whatever pleasures he liked. Vaughn did not know that much about him. But he would not put it past the king. He did not put anything past anyone. Now, he laughed when she asked what she got in return. This question, though sarcastically asked, caused great amusement in him. For even such a thing as to him owing her something could be suggested.
"You should not ask such trivial questions," he said, still chuckling at her words. "For you really should be questioning, what it is that I want in return." In return for his silence; in return for his aid. As she surely knew, he was not the kind of man to do something for nothing. What fun would there be in helping this damsel in distress be on her way? None whatsoever. So he made sure to stand in front of her, blocking any passage. "I'm waiting," he said tauntingly, wanting her to ask him for there were so many answers he could give in return. "Unless you want me to call for them to come now and take you back to your captor." Which by all means, he would do. Just to see the fear in her eyes when getting dragged back to her abductor. Now how was that not amusing.

::vaughn:: Vaughn chuckled when she said that everyone is capable of doing great things. Great things? Vaughn was inclined to disagree. What could be constituted as great these days anyway. Certainly not fighting off a group of bandits. "Great, is a relative term." He did not believe she was great; none of this was great. Hell, he did not even know what defined greatness. Certainly not anything he has seen in this world. He was however further amused when she did not seem to flinch at the gruesome site that she beheld, by his hand. Or sword to be more specific. In fact, she stared at the rolling head, just enough to cause her arrow to cease its movement to her feet. She was certainly no typical woman. But then, he already knew that from the way she had fought them off. And now apparently her threshold for gore.
Not only that, but was there some attitude in that voice of hers? Interesting. Considering that he had just proven himself to be a merciless man and here so was, offering lip. Vaughn laughed at her words. A 'fair kill'... they had 'families'... so apparently she was a typical woman after all. Investing emotion in this situation that showed nothing but cruelty. "It was not personal," he told her, smiling with amusement. Not even the slightest bit phased to hear that they may have children, or wives, or siblings. Who cared. They were idiots that had no longer served their purpose to Vaughn. "It should not be for you either," he added. "Unless you knew them?" He questioned, though he highly doubted it. He was just mocking her.
With his the tip of his sword, he pointed to the head that was a few feet from her. "Perhaps that one right there was your brother." Yes; mocking indeed. He then pointed to another lifeless body. "And that one your uncle." He the pointed to another. "And that one your husband." He had to suppress his laughter at the preposterous idea of it all. But she spoke of them and their 'family' as if she really cared too. Then again, it all went back to the over emotional state that women were known to have. Her next questioned was one in which a name would naturally follow in response. But Vaughn withheld this piece of information...for now. "The same could be said about a woman, out in the woods all by herself. Surely, she is up to no good either." His voice sounding taunting. "Or perhaps you are the forest's angel; always near when danger befalls innocent travelers." Again, mocking and condescending. "You certainly look the part of angel," he added with a more crude gleam in his eyes, his gaze going over her attire unique to a woman. Now, he was just being perverted.

::vaughn:: Ha! It worked! How...sad. She truly was one of those sensitive women who was over emotional when it came to the well being of something like a horse. Quite, pathetic really. But for the present, it was going to save Vaughn some time. Rather than forcing her away and having her claw at him again, she would at least come willingly. Well, a bit more willingly than before. He slowly withdrew his sword from the animal's neck and motioned for his minion to take it away from here. He could always call it back should the princess decide to be uncooperative. He listened to her call him a coward, see the tears escape from her eyes, and then witness her fall to the ground. He could only chuckle at her, over emotional ways. Why were women always like this. While it was humorous, it made them far too predictable.
"You are right. I am a coward. I will gladly admit it." He was not above insulting himself. He did not care how others perceived him and if this deemed him as a coward, then so be it. "What else. Am I also a vile man? Crude? Selfish? Appalling for threatening the life of the princess of Amorica?" He was chuckling between words, wondering if she would check every trait as ones that defined him accurately. He went over to her and grabbed her arm to pull her to her feet, pulling her around so that she was forced to face him. And the distance between them not very far. He was in her personal space and it was yet another way to attempt to make her feel, uncomfortable. Though threatening the life of her beast seemed to be the best way to do that. "Misbehave, and you have find your horse's head slipped under your blanket whilst you sleep."
Another threat, a warning to her. "That is, if I decide to give you a blanket." Just to remind her that he had control in this situation. He moved his hand forward, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as he allowed the back of his hand to graze her cheek, a sadistic smile on his lips and a sinister gleam in his eyes. "There are fates worse than death Princess Luciana. Do not make me show you what they can be." He was of course only speaking of one thing; the root of all women's nightmares. While Vaughn would never do this to a woman, his decision not being due to compassion, he had his men who would be all too glad to take him up on his offer. After all, Luciana was far more beautiful than any woman that had ever been within their reach, hell, within their gaze. They would most certainly be willing to force her into acts against her wishes. And Vaughn would only encourage them and walk away so that she could learn her lesson the worst way possible, yet perhaps the most effective.

::vaughn:: Vaughn watched her watch him intently. She seemed unusually calm, for a woman out alone in the woods and now in the presence of a stranger. Then again, he had witnessed her engage in combat with a beast. Apparently, she was well equipped for potential dangers lurking through the woods. Thus far anyway. There were many more things that grazed through the woods, far more vicious than a beast. When she asked if she impressed him Vaughn gave a short chuckle of sheer amusement. He slightly cocked his head to the side and look at her, a gleam of hilarity in his eyes. "Not in the slightest," he answered bluntly. Was he entertained? Yes. Was he impressed? Not at all. A grand difference existed between the two things.
It took quite a lot to impress Vaughn. In fact, he could not even recall the last time he had been genuinely impressed by anyone. Her next questioned caused another deep chuckle from him, the amusement never ceasing. "It is," he confirmed. He had nothing to hide, for he never pretended to be someone he was not. Never afraid to speak his mind. As it was often meant to make others feel uncomfortable; his greatest amusement of all. Yet this woman did not stir in the slightest. If anything, her voice was kind and far too gentle. It only meant he would have to try and provoke her to feeling something other than ease. "Especially when the prey is of your appearance."
His eyes once again leered over her figure, in the crudest of ways. His words were not meant to flatter, nor did the gaze of perversion in his eyes. It was again, only meant to cause unease. "Why, do you feel hunted?" He asked, a sinister gleam in his eyes. This time, he was not referring to the beast being what hunted her. Surely, she encountered more than just creatures in the Forest of Balor, as these woods were notorious for holding immense danger.

::vaughn:: It was not difficult to notice Morgana's entrance. When she stepped inside, a few voices silenced and many heads turned in the direction of the door. She looked utterly out of place. She was not the kind of woman who usually graced such a setting. She may no longer have the title of noblewoman, but the way she carried herself, with a bit of a darker edge to her, would make her always seem like someone far above this crowd. Vaughn did not believe in equality; nor did he beleive in inequality. People were who they were, and after spending their entire upbringing acting a certain way, being taught of certain etiquette and mannerisms, that did not all suddenly vanish. But of course, the Lady Morgana did an excellent job in downplayin who she really was. The appeal in her only being natural. And as any man would naturally do, they stared. He heard a few murmers from the men near him. Vaughn's eyes locked on her, faintly hearing her being referred to as 'Lady Ana'.
He then allowed his eyes to scan the crowd, silently curious as to why no man approachd her. She was obvioulsy beyond a beauty most men here were not used to. So why did not man, in all his drunkeness, approch her? Curious indeed. There had to be a reason. But Vaughn was not curious enough to ask. He just watched her. She was alone and yet, still no man went to her. Vaughn set down his driink, rose from his seated position, and walked confidently up to her. Now it seemed the eyes were set on him as the chattering in the crowd picked up once again. He paused, standing directly behind her, and lowering his head a bit so that his lips would be near her ear. His words meant for her and only her as he spoke in this deep whispered tone. "Is it Ana that you are going by now?" He asked, a hint of amusement in his voice upon this self appointed name. "It is not nearly as beautiful as your real name," he added. Just for the fun of it.

::vaughn:: Vaughn could only smile at this. "Surprising that the daughter of a noble would find any price too high." Though he supposed it was not surprising at all. Especially if she still had her virtue. There were obviously some costs that she was not willing to make. "Under the circumstances though, it may be wise to pay what is owed." Meaning he was the threat, and she best find something to defend herself with. Vaughn had no idea what he would do. He obviously was not going to kill her. He did not want to spend all night in a closed room with a rotting corpse. Besides, death was far too... unexciting. There was no fun in that. The person was just, dead. Useless. Unable to be provoked. No need to deprive him of a knight's delight.
Among his laughter, he noticed the subtle color to her cheeks. It seemed that even this topic of conversation was a bit unfamiliar to her. Just as a man's touch was. "My Lady, it is almost impossible to believe," he said in between chuckles, unable to find the hilarity in this subject subside. "A woman of your appearance deprived of all such pleasures... it is nearly a crime." Clearly, she valued her virtue. Interesting. Perhaps Vaughn found something of value worth stealing after all. Her next question had the potential for so many answers, and he could not help but chuckle once more. "Why not," he answered nonchalantly. It was all about being in control. "Seems I can have it right now if I so wish." There was obviously something she knew, when speaking of her capability, or perhaps she was just bluffing. If it was the latter, he would call her on it soon enough. As each menacing word led to an even more menacing gesture.
And speaking of capability, it led it nicely to her next comment. "Ladies first," he stated as he slightly lowered himself in a bit of a bow, motioning his hand out, gesturing her to go ahead. As it he was ever truly a gentleman. As if he would choose now to be a gentleman. Quite the opposite in fact. "You must show me something. I have a weapon. More than one in fact." He motioned to his two swords strapped to his back. "So if you speak of being underestimated, prove that you have something more than the eye can see." More than one would assume about her. If she was bluffing, then it would only make this easier for him. If he was not, then it would allow the small thrill of surprise to fill him once more. Which, he always welcomed to alleviate the dullness of a typical day.

::vaughn:: It was practically impossible to ignore the discretion in the man's voice. He seemed fairly confident in his abilities to attain what Vaughn would need. And equally confident in being able to keep business between only them. While Vaughn trusted no one, he was slowly leaning towards the possibility of actually using this man. It was just a shame that no more other than Boris could vouch for him. But perhaps it was a good thing. For it meant that while the man had a great reputation, he was also discreet in his dealings. Vaughn smirked staying quiet for a few moments, a rarity for him, as he mentally debated what to do. This would indeed be the easiest, quickest and most efficient way to get the required supplies. "I am indifferent to judgment. Judge me as much as you like." Vaughn knew people judged him all the time.
In fact, he was often amused by it. Finding it more reason to leave a rather negative impression, for his own entertainment of course. No. It was not the judgment he cared about, it was his silence he needed; his ability to not pry. And Vaughn would find out soon enough if it was something well within Richard's capacity. "It is your silence I require. As well as a list of supplies." Now, he was getting to the root of this conversation; the purpose of it. But, he would have to somewhat test the man before him. Not with the first thing he needed though. "Rope." The first and most important thing. "I need a very strong and sturdy rope. One that is by no means easy to cut through." He needed it strong for when they kidnapped the princess. So that she could not wiggle free from it.

::vaughn:: It was another rather uneventful day. Every day seemed to be as such. Ever since the druid found a woman and gave up his immoral self, Vaughn had found his life a bit less exciting. Well, immoral according to Vaughn. Alistair had had his morals. He went on about taking a stand and doing what was right, blah blah yawn yawn. Vaughn did not care in the slightest. What he had cared about what the ploys the druid brought to him. He was often the brains of the operation, providing well thought out plans while Vaughn hired the goons to assist them and gather the materials. They had been fairly successful to. With kidnapping the princess of Gwent, fantastic how that had turned out, kidnapping the king of Camelot, or well previous old king, and some random maid who meant nothing to them. But still.
The thrill of it had been there and his partnership with Alistair had proven to give Vaughn amusement and unwavering entertainment. Now, he had to find the amusement where it came. So far, the Forest of Balor was a dull setting for such things. He had been wandering through the vast wooded area for hours, not possessing a horse at this current time. That was on his to do list: steal a horse, perhaps kill someone for it. But thus far, he had not even encountered any foolish travelers in the forest. If he believed in luck, he would have thought his ran out. But Vaughn if anything, was not a man defeated. He did not care enough to deem himself defeated. He was just someone, out looking for a bit of thrill. As much as this dull life could provide.
Vaughn was dressed, as always, in dark attire, dark armor and with two swords strapped to his back. Having paused briefly near a steam, he had taken a drink of water before continuing on the trail. He had paused to drink some of the refreshing liquid, but instead found himself pausing for an entirely different reason. He had a distant commotion. It sounded like a battle of some sort. No, it was a battle for sure. Vaughn had been in enough to know. The sounds he heard intrigued him and so decided to sneakily approach the situation. There he saw it; a woman battling a beast. A grin of amusement formed on his lips as he made no effort to assist the woman. In all honestly, he was expecting the beast to devour her and if it did, then this would have made for a good show. If not, then he would have something to talk to her about.
In the end, she was victorious. Vaughn would have been disappointed had he not already thought of ways that her company could alleviate some of his, boredom. He had a better look at her now that she was not scurrying about to kill the beast. She was a woman dressed in attire that Vaughn had never seen, and he traveled the world endlessly. A woman who seemed to have blood dripping from her. A woman who, looked like no one Vaughn had ever seen. And he was not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Perhaps something that could work in his favor, or something that would make him just walk away. He took a few steps towards her assessing the situation; trying to determine if this was some sort of trap.
She would not be the first woman used to entice a traveler only to be ambushed by her companions. But no. Surely they would not risk her appeal to attract wanderers, and place it at the mercy of a beast. No. She was alone; that much was certain. "Quite a show you put on," he said to her, moving closer so that he was now standing right in front of the foreign looking woman. His voice held more amusement than concern for her having potentially died. And, he brought it to her knowledge that he had been standing by, watching the entire thing. Making no move to aid her. His eyes searched over her, in such a way meant to make a woman uncomfortable. Certainly, she would be no exception to the discomfort felt from this leering gaze that only men with the crudest of minds gave.

::vaughn:: Vaughn watched the entire scene unfold. This was far too amusing. One little delightful creature besting five men. This made something very clear to Vaughn: that the men he had found to 'hire', were completely incompetent. He did not fail to notice that she did not kill a single one of them. They were simply impaired; the one with the arrow in his shoulder perhaps being the most severely so. It was not until she called for whoever was lurker about to reveal themselves. At this, Vaughn smirked and took it as his cue to exit. He stepped into the clearing, chuckling, and amused and extremely pleased smile on his face. He brought his hands together and clapped in a long drawn out way, as if he was applauding her in her efforts. Her seemingly successful efforts. "Well done," he congratulated. His eyes locked on hers with every step he took, as they searched over her body frame, in a way meant to make a woman feel uncomfortable. Unless she welcomed such attention. She appeared to be so small, so delicate and yet, he had witnessed her agility in defeating his useless men.
"Who would have thought that such an exquisite little creature as yourself, would be capable of so much." Vaughn did not congratulate people, but he was not ignoring the fact. Besides, she currently had an arrow prepared in her bow, just in case. While he did not fear death, there was no need to die needlessly. He swiftly pulled out his two swords strapped to his back. It was no threat to her, and soon enough she would see that. "But once you start a job, you should really finish it." With those words, he made his way over, first to the man with the arrow in his shoulder. They were all useless to him now and he did not need them to go around, blabbing out his plans. So he took both his swords and inserted them straight into the man's chest, one right in the heart, the other just on the side. It gave him instant death. Then he moved on to the next unconscious man, using one sort to slice it across his throat and he did the same with his other weapon, just for an added effect.
Every other unconscious goon of his, he killed, stabbing his sword into them, even decapitating one of them just to see if it would make her squirm. To see if he could gain more of a reaction from her with such a morbid killing, he lightly kicked the rolling head towards her, so that it would go towards her feet. Once he was done, he wiped the blades of his swords down on the grass to get the blood clean from it. While doing so, looked at her. "And that, is how you complete an attack." His face still held that gleam of amusement, clearly not phased over the fact that he had killed his own men. Then again, they were not his. He had just found them, and while he had known they were stupid, he now knew that they were completely useless too... which is why it had been necessary to kill them. He did not thank people, but at least she had opened his eyes to their incompetence. He completely ignored the small group of travelers who had been the source of all this. For they did not matter to Vaughn; he was presently far more interested in the woman standing before him.
[[It was a very well done fight scene I must say! Sorry for taking so long to reply, hopefully it won't happen again]]

::vaughn:: The open ended question caused his lips to continue to twist into a smile. "Payment first," he said casually. Saying that he would want her to 'pay' for the weapon of defense before he granted it to her. Also aware that it would defeat the purpose of having the weapon after the fact. "But really My Lady. For such a perceptive young woman as yourself, I am sure you know what I would be expecting in order to give you the weapon," he teased. Enjoying toying with the idea such as this. She was taking it with boldness though. Something he gave her credit for. Some woman in her situation would have crumbled to their feet, in tears. An equally amusing scenario but at least this gave a bit of edge of unexpectedness.
She still had her virtue? This was by the far the comment of most hilarity he had heard all night. Perhaps all day. "Really?!" He exclaimed, booming into laughter. Usually he did not express words of such surprise, but this was all too funny. This called for quite a bit of surprise indeed. And it only grew more hilarious when she confirmed that she would have it by the end of the night. They were for sure strong words. Ones that Vaughn could not just let pass by with mocking it a little. Without entertaining the alternative. "Are you certain about that?" He asked.
"Because if you feel the need to say those words aloud to ease your own peace of mind, then I am not quite sure you believe it yourself." Maybe she did, for they were spoken with sureness. But still. "Besides, sometimes one does not have control over such things." Very sadistic and crude indeed. But, he felt the need to say it after she had expressed her, innocence. "Perhaps we will. And I will look forward to it greatly. Though, maybe you should give me a glimpse of what you are capable of. And then I shall return the favor." Or not. But he was trying to find out what made her so bold, or if it was all a farce.

::vaughn:: Ah. At long last the man was opening up. Relaxing some. Interesting question. What was the point of having a title if one did not use it. Vaughn surely was not the only exception. He had a title, well, he could should he choose. But he made a point not to use it. Why was a title the source of pride? What did it matter. It did not make a person better than another. But of course, pride was something many people were the victims of. It was quite pathetic really. "Discretion," Vaughn said, going back to that point. "I am merely surprised that others trust you in spite of your title. Especially since, from what I heard, you deal with less, high class citizens." Now, Vaughn was trying to get back to the point. Trying to find out how accurate Boris' recommendation was.
But Richard's next words began to answer Vaughn's somewhat unspoken questions. Interesting. Richard mentioned Arthur and Morgana, but not the king himself? Now why was that? "I don't care about your high quality contacts," he said smirking, finding that irrelevant. It made sense that higher quality contacts who needed something done, would go to a duke. It was more the, lower quality contacts that Vaughn was curious about. The bums off the street, such as himself, who needed items that would cause suspicion. "I care about making sure I get what I need. And that you can collect them with no questions asked. And no answers given."
When this plan was executed, there would undoubtedly be a reward for any information pertaining to the princess. Would Richard try to offer some possibly helpful information to help get the reward? Or to become closer to the royal family of either Camelot or Gwent? These were the questions Vaughn had. And he would have to see how Richard took to his words before telling him precisely what he needed to get his job done.
