Arthur's questions were clearly causing the boy great discomfort. He just did not understand why the boy would have risked his life to see the battle. It was so dangerous. The boy was just that . . . a boy, a child. An innocent youth of Camelot, one who could have fallen victim to a horrible attack. Rather than feel angry towards the boy for sneaking out to witness the battle, he felt more concerned for him, as he did for all his people. Although, still, Arthur was not entirely convinced of his words. It just seemed too . . . strange.
"You could have been seriously injured Neav." He said to him, pointing out the obvious, but unable to understand his impulse to ride out there with them. He had no training, no combat experience -- as Arthur assumed. "That was no place for you to have been. We lost several knights, and you risked a great deal by being so close to the dragon." Arthur's tone had an underlying concern in it; he had lost too many people and knew that in the future, he would lose more. It was such a painful loss. Horrible to think that people trusted him and the army to protect them, only to have them meet their death or suffer the loss of loved ones. Neav was right; it was Arthur's fault, and he could do nothing to prevent or avoid it.
