Old Age Can Take It's Toll

Gaius was right, Uther would never believe that Morgana was the sorcerer. But there had to be something they could do! Gwen was in danger of dying at the stake, all because Morgana had led the King to the pair during their picnic, and caught the two kissing! Worse yet, Uther believed that Arthur was under an enchantment from Gwen. So, they had to do something to save her and end this nonsense. But what?

He thought carefully, trying to come up with some kind of plan. Yes, Uther would never believe that Morgana was at fault for placing the poultice... But what if they didn't need Morgana to change Uther's mind? What if... yes, that was it! A plan began to formulate in his mind as he placed all the pieces together. He believed that he had the perfect spell to boot! Yes, somewhere in his book of magic that Gaius had given him upon his arrival in Camelot those few years before, there was a spell he had come across that would do just the trick that he needed to complete his idea.

"If we can't expose the true sorcerer," he said, looking to Gaius, "then we must invent one." To Gaius' questioning look, he would continue on, looking quite pleased with himself, "What if a sorcerer was caught planting an identical poultice in Arthur's chambers? Uther would have no choice but to release Gwen!" With that, he turned and began to head to his room.
