The wandering druids had found peace in a small village outside Albion, the young dancer Mia among them. Long wavy locks fell over the maidens shoulders as she watched the hustle and bustle of the small village from the security of her caravan. It was late evening and already a chill was falling over the land, unfortunately though the wardrobe of a gypsy dancer was anything but warm. Slender arms curled around her stomach to pull at her sides, a slight shiver racking her frame. Icy eyes watched as the flames outside flickered, the sound of gruff laughter musical and reassuring….She would have to dance soon…..Even in small villages the chance for a token that could be exchanged for food was something her family could not pass up. Mia could see several people gathering around the large fire. Settling themselves on stones and overturned wooden buckets, children perched atop the shoulders of their massive fathers. One tiny girl in particular slumped over her daddy’s head….already asleep before the nights festivities even began. Mia nibbled at her painted lip, tasting the pungent paint that her mother had applied only about and hour ago. She moved her fingers up to press the tiny gem against her skull between her eyes, hoping it would not dislodge itself during her performance….again….she had lost the last one. A gesture from her chubby father brought the maiden from her castle, climbing over the aging wood and dropping to the ground with as such grace as she could muster. Her father no doubt had already got the crowd ready…..making them believe that what they were about to see was a show of magic and romance…not deceit. Silently she moved to stand before the fire, glancing nervously around the circle one last time before the fiddle began to play…accompanied by a rough chorus of clapping and whistles. Her long swirling skirts swished this way and that, grazing the top of the flickering flames and casting a multitude of colors across the crowd through the thin fabric. Glitter flew from Mia’s hands as she twirled, long curly locks grazing the earth as she dipped back. Oh she loved to dance….if only it wasn’t an obligation…a must…she would love it even more. The music finally stopped, with her arms arched regally over her head Mia closed her blue eyes and dipped her head to the crowd. Some clapping ensued….some people were disappointed as her father had once again ‘juiced’ up her performance. The sound of coins and her fathers hearty laughter brought a smile to her lips as she moved away from the crowd to a tiny pond that was down an embankment…a world away. Trees surrounded the dark water, the moon was beginning to shine. Mia pulled her skirts up to keep them from getting filthy, crouching on her knees she began to scrub at the paint on her face…tonight she was a butterfly….Bitterly she wondered if she would ever break out of her cocoon. ((wow no replies ish sad......))

Understanding Albion and about herself was a true adventure. No one truly knows Albion's true purpose or its true beauty, but Selena didn't desire beauty. She merely wanted to be a better person and to understand the lands that we now live in, but many wonders, mysteries and obstacles stood before her and so far everything has been smooth sailing. Of course she knew it was going to be a difficult quest to fulfil, and there was every chance that she could very well be killed and die without being in her beloved kingdom.
But she believed in herself and the training she received from her brother. Together with her faithful stallion Amity she was determined to make her family and her people proud, while calmly walking beside her faithful steed Selena gently patted Amity's strong neck and moved onwards on path of understanding and adventure.
Feeling the chill in the weather, Selena grabbed the left and right edges of her long hooded cloak and pulled it as tightly as she could around herself. But it wasn't long before she saw a small village, with a smile she said" Look Amity its a small village! Come on boy! Lets see if we can get you some food and shelter". With renewed confidence she headed towards the direction of the village and soon entered the peaceful atmosphere.
She could see that it was such a calm and peaceful village. And soon she spotted a small fire burning brightly, Selena could see that some of the villagers were making their way over towards the fire and even the sound of music was heard. Wondering what it was the young princess marched over towards the fire with her horse Amity over towards the music.
And it was very clear that the music was for a young woman who was doing some kind of special dance. It was truly something to watch as she silently watched the stranger dance with all her heart and soul. Which ended in spectacular fashion causing the crowd to clap and cheer, even coins were being thrown. While the crowd slowly dispersed back to their lives Selena calmly watched the girl go over to wash her face, with a smile she calmly patted Amity's neck and gently let go of his reigns which forced her hooded cloak to close itself around Selena.
There she gently walked over to Mia and said" That was truly an amazing dance! I have not seen anything like it!".

A soft voice pulled Mia from her thoughts, with water still dripping from her face she turned to see a cloaked figure. At first her alarm bells were ringing but then she calmed herself with the fact that this was a female visitor, and not a risk to her virtue.
“Why…thank you.”
Mia said slowly, as she stood the many bits of metal and bells jingled on her form. In the bit of light that evening still provided it was impossible to see the strangers face. But even from this distance it was easy to see that it was no simple peasant addressing her…No their was an air of poise and dignity that seemed to follow the hooded maiden…Though she couldn’t be sure what her true position of power would be. It wasn’t often a common druid was treated well by anyone with a bit of money in their purse, so although Mia was skeptical of this strangers motives she decided to try to be cordial….which wouldn’t be that hard really…she was horrible at being cruel.
Nervous fingers worked at the curls in her hair, icy eyes casting to the earth so that she would not seem petulant by trying to see the strangers face.
“I didn’t see you in the crowd….but in comparison to some of those men you would be easily hidden…did you just arrive?”
It was an innocent question, not really a probing one. But she still worried that the maiden would find her rude. Nervously Mia chewed her lip, her blue eyes casting towards the circle of caravans as a chorus of laughter erupted.
“I’m Mia…Mia Fallabella.”

Even though Selena only just entered the village she already found something interesting. But it was wasn't something, it was someone. Upon arriving she witness a dance that was unlike anything she had seen in her entire life, and the woman certainly knew her steps, but Selena could tell that the woman was wearing garments that she had not seen before. In the background her horse Amity gently lowered his head to the ground and began eating some fresh grass to satisfy his hunger. Selena could feel her friend's calm like nature and was pleased to know that Amity was making himself home within the village itself.
Showing her respect to the stranger Selena stood still where she was and patiently listened to the woman's words. She sounded sincere and honest, but it seemed that she was curious and alert at the same time. It was only natural and Selena admitted to herself she would have done the same if a cloaked stranger approached you in darkness and gave a compliment about something that you were good at. Still in response to her question she simply replied" Yes that’s correct. Me and my good friend Amity simply wished to find a place to stay for the night". She said pointing her head over towards the white stallion who was happily eating away.
Through out her journey Amity was her only friend. But outside her journey she had made some great friends, she owed Amity much as he had helped Selena travel many distances and to many places which simply inspired her heart and soul. It wasn't long before the girl introduced herself and immediately Selena replied" Its nice to meet you Mia my name is Selena Fireheart". She spoke as politely as she could.
Someone like Mia was really hard to find. She had talent in the art of dancing and used it to bring joy to other people, Selena could hear the laughter of the crowd in the background realising that Mia was not the only one that was bring joy to the people. And there was nothing more important that bring joy to the innocent people and to also bring them hope and confidence. With a smile she said to Mia “I’m sorry for asking but where did you learn such a beautiful dance?".
