Adara was kneeling down in some foliage waiting for a rabbit to show up. Her brown hair was pinned up in a bun so it wouldn't blow around in her face. As she waited she began to day dream. Her blue eyes stared into the forest, as she thought about what it would be like if her parents where still alive. Several minutes passed before the sound of a twig snapping snapped Adara out of her day dream. Looking around she saw nothing that would cause the noise. She tried to think of where the noise had come from.
She listened closely for any new noises but nothing happened. Thinking it was probably a deer or some other animal, she did nothing. Adara remained frozen hoping that what ever animal had made that noise would come her way. If it was a deer it would make several meals for her and her brother. Time went by and nothing happened. She really wanted to get up and look for the food herself. But her father had told her to remain still and the food would come to her. And sure enough Adara spotted a large gray rabbit hop out from under a bush. Grabbing an arrow she aimed and fired. It was a perfect hit. But as soon as she got up to get the rabbit she felt a hand come down on her shoulder.
