Lucan was growing more agitated by the minute. It felt so nice to be free from a dingy cell and hunting down the person who had put him and his friends there. Lucan of course had been more than happy to go off in search for Morgana. Since she literally brought the roof down – there needed to be a search in the hope of finding something. A body would be most satisfying for everyone, even if they were not going to say it out loud, but of course – no trace of her had been found.
He’d set off down the corridors and hallways of the castle, for all they knew Morgana could be hiding in the vaults under the castle of down darkened passageways. Lucan was determined to kill her if he found her. Not just for the satisfaction, but also for what she’d done to all those so close to him. Lucan had sent Yvain off in another direction – he had no idea where the others were but the whole castle was pretty much covered with Knights on patrol. He knew he shouldn’t have gone off alone, but Lucan knew that if Yvain didn’t shut up and Morgana was indeed lurking – then she’d have the upper hand, and he? Well he’d have a headache.
He held his sword tightly in his hand, prepared to take a swing at anything or anyone who was to come his way. He was also pretty sure that the pain in his chest meant he’d be paying Gauis a visit later on. One of the guards from Morgana’s army had practically broken a rib when man handling him back to his cell. With a small wince he carried on – hoping that the physician would have something for the pain. A broken rib was enough for him; he could’ve ended up far worse.
Up ahead he could see a familiar figure, quickening his pace as well as clutching his side to help him – he ventured towards them. “Sir Leon!” he called and managed to catch up, “any sign of her?” he asked, still looking around, guard up, in case Morgana were to slip by the them unnoticed.

Leon had made it out of the cells, with the help of Gwen. Got away from the immortal guards. Even though they seemed to be different now that they were not living. They seemed to lose all senses that a living soldier would have, so it was pretty easy for the both of them to get out of there, plus Gwen had given him a little help, but he would never speak of that with anyone. After they had gotten out they had found Arthur, started a band of brothers, stormed the castle and took back what was right. All in a days work. But the work was not over there was still much to do now.
He had already started helping with the clean up of the castle and the lower towns. He had been to the outline villages, to the other kingdoms and back to Camelot again. He hadn’t stop working, day and night the second in command was doing something, either it be big or small, here or there. Morgana had left a huge mark on Camelot; some of the town’s people would not come out of their homes because of what had happened during her rule. The scars from it would never go away; it would take along time before people would start to get over the loss of loved ones and anything else they might have lost during Camelot’s trouble times.
Today Leon had left the clean up to Sir Orrick, knowing well that he would be able to handle the work done there with a few of the other knights. Leon had spent most of his day yesterday down there, getting his hands dirty and helping clean up and talking with the town’s people. He stood in one of the hallways, today he it was his duty to search the castle for any sign of Morgana or the last of her followers, as they were not immortal anymore. Most of the castle was filled with knights and guards on the look out for Morgana her self or any thing that might tell her where she went.
She had almost brought down the whole castle. She could be anywhere in the castle, hiding and waiting for the right time to attack again. Leon didn’t think he would be able to go through it all again, the whole being locked up in a cell, forced before someone he knew would never rule. They had to find Morgana before she did something. The knight knew that there were a few people that wouldn’t mind getting there hands on her, or swords for that matter. He was pretty sure that every knight that had been locked up hated her for what she had done.
He was talking to a guard when he heard his name called. He glanced down the hallway to see that his fellow knight Sir Lucan was heading towards him. He nodded to the guard and they went on their way. He turned to Lucan and looked him over; they had all been broken down someway by Morgana’s men.
“Sir Lucan”
He greeted with a bow of his head. He shook his head. They had been looking everywhere for her but no luck, it was like she had gone up and disappered. Or she really could be still in the castle somewhere waiting for the moment she could attack again. Well the knight hoped that wasn't true.
“There hasn’t been any sign of her, I’ve got guards looking down in the lower towns, and most of the others are looking as well”.
They had to be ready for anything, because Morgana could be anywhere. Camelot couldn't go through another rule by Morgana, they had already lost so much before of her and who knew if it happened again, would Camelot be able to get out of it. Leon wasn't sure if he could go through another round of what he had been put through during that week under her rule.
“How you holding up?”
“You know, you should get Gauis to look at that”.
He said, he knew that both he and Lucan knew he would just say it was nothing and be on their way. That’s how they were; Leon had been the same way when he had been burned during the dragon attack. He was worried about his fellow brother and he wanted to know how Lucan was holding up after everything.

Lucan caught up with Leon who was now giving him the lowdown on the search. Nothing from him either. That seemed inevitable - if she knew that every Knight of Camelot was out scouring the castle for her, then she wouldn’t remain there. “There hasn’t been any sign of her, I’ve got guards looking down in the lower towns, and most of the others are looking as well”. Lucan nodded at this. “A few others are searching the forests too, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack” Lucan sighed and looked down to his chest when Leon asked how he was holding up.
“It’s just a scratch” he shook his head, “or maybe a crack? Never the less I’m fine” he told him, “I’m more worried about Camila and her family than my own health.” He chuckled and clutched his chest as he did. Ok, perhaps he should get Gaius to check on it tomorrow. Right now he had no time to take some bed rest or whatever the physician prescribed. “And how are you? No life threatening injuries?” He asked. Leon seemed to have more lives than a cat. “and I should think the answer is no – you’re indestructible” Luc smirked.
Lucan looked around one last time, just to be sure that Morgana or any other enemy was not watching them. “I was just about to go and search the tunnels if you wanted to come with me, that seems like the only other place to look that I can think of right now, and I’m pretty sure no one else has gone down there.”

They had been searching for hours now. Everywhere and anywhere for her. Morgana might not even be in Camelot anymore, who knew, it was better to be safe than sorry. If she was indeed still within Camelot’s walls, then the knights would find her, even if Leon had to search every hall, house or room, he would find her if she was in fact still here. It was unknown to any of them really; no one had seen Morgana after the stone had fallen. They had searched the rumble first; there had been no sign there so they started checking other places for her. He nodded his head when Lucan told him that others were looking in the forests. It had been on his list of places to check, boy had the list been long and only half had been checked.
“A very large haystack”
Leon commented. Camelot was a big place. The castle was huge with many places that she could hide, and then there were the lower towns and the forest and after that outlines villages and the other kingdoms. They may never find her, but that wasn’t going to stop this knight. Maybe she made it out of Camelot fast because she knew how many knights might be looking for her. There had been many of them affected by her rule. The town’s people were feeling the hurt worse than any of the knights that had been locked up, but they too had felt lost for their fellow brothers who had not been part of the many left.
“How is she after all this? And her family?”
He knew for one that Lucan would say it was just a scratch, just a minor fresh wound that could heal over time. Leon had been the same way after the dragon attack, he had just brushed it off like it was nothing and he was ready to work the next day. That’s how the knights were, they were born and trained to show no pain, to never give in and keep fighting no matter what. So Leon knew all too well how Lucan felt about his mere scratch. He just hoped the knight would take his advice and go see Gaius at some point. He knew some of Camila, form what Lucan had told him of her. It was nice to see him with a woman, as if you had known Lucan, women and him don’t really mix well, but he was happy for his friend to have found someone. He had never met Camila, but he could tell Lucan cared a great deal about her. He grinned at Lucan’s comment about him being indestructible.
“No I am fine, nothing serious, the wounds of the body may heal but the metal wounds never do”
Leon had gone through hell and back again, that week during Morgana’s rule, everyone had, he hadn’t been hurt bad, but Morgana had tried to best to break the knight and those kinds of things stick with a person. He would never get out the screams of all those innocent people, the bodies of dead children laying in the street, the secnes of that day still haunt his dreams. It would be the same for the people of Camelot. There wounds would heal but what had happened that day would never leave there minds, it would stay with them forever. He nodded his head.
“It’s a good place to look, I doubt we have any other places to look, and it’s one heck of a good hiding place”
If Morgana’s down there, it would be the best place for her to hide out awhile, plan her attack on Camelot and she would already be within it’s walls. Plus there if any knights went down there to look, she could easily just pick them off one by one, and then she would have no knights to deal with, if she attacked again. Leon knew that in time Morgana would try again, it was just when that scared the knight.
“Ready when you are”

“A very large haystack” He heard Leon reply. Lucan couldn't agree more, Camelot was an increadably large city and it would take a lot to actually scour the whole place, plus the countryside. He couldn't wait to get started. If Morgana was still in Camelot then he would make sure that he was present to bring her down. Lucan smirked at Leon's choice of words. "Im always up for a challenge...bring on the haystack and we may just find a rat instead of a needle" he looked at the second in command knowingly.
Leon was now asking after Cam. Lucan bit his lip. "I've already sent message to her father, who hopefully is still alive to have received it." Lucan's face darkend a little. "Morgana said she would bring Camila to Camelot...if she's hurt her then I want to be first in line to kill her should we ever find her." his voice was a growl now. He hated the woman for what she'd done, what she'd brought upon the people and city and what she had threatened. He prayed that Camila was alright, and that Morgana had just been calling his bluff.
He looked to Leon, hoping that he was indeed alright and that there was nothing serious. “No I am fine, nothing serious, the wounds of the body may heal but the metal wounds never do”. Lucan knew that all too well. There were things they had both seen that had never left them. You just had to carry on though regardless, it was the only way that you could strengthen. Through learning and overcoming any obstacles that stood in your way, and for the Knights of Camelot - there were many of those. "You are right there my friend" he nodded slowly.
Right, time to move down to the tunnels then. He nodded to Leon and led the way out. "Do you think that The King will recover?" he asked as they made their way down the steps and out into the courtyard.

Yes with Camelot being such a huge city and many places to look, Morgana could be anywhere. This was not good for the knights who were searching for her right now. But they would fine her, because after all they were not just normal people but the Knights of Camelot and they took things like this very serious. Leon knew that every single knight in Camelot wanted a piece of Morgana for what she had done to some of them, and he knew that they wouldn’t stop till they looked in every crack to make sure that Morgana was not still in the castle or in the Kingdom. They would find her if she even dared be still around after everything she had done and everyone she had hurt, not only the knights, the towns people, but there King and prince. She would pay for her crimes. “Then it’s a challenge we’ll take head on”. The second in command said to his fellow knights who had just as bad as Leon had during those few days of Morgana’s rule.
He nodded his head, listening to Lucan’s words. He was sure that she and her family would be alright. “She sounds like a strong woman from what I have been told, I am sure she made it though, just as much as you did”. That’s what made them prefect I guess, the strongness between them. Of course Leon didn’t know how any of these felt, he could only guess from what Lucan and others had told him. “You’ll get your chance to make her pay Lucan, trust me friend you’re not the only one”. In Leon’s case he had no one that Morgana could use against him. The only ones would be the other knights, maybe the towns people or the King. She had tried the towns people and though it had broken the knights heart it hadn’t forced him to join her because even before then he was willing to die right there for his king and his kingdom. “Morgana tried her best to use everything against me, but in her case I had nothing she could use”.
This knight had been though worse than the few days being locked up under Morgana’s rule. He just nodded to Lucan as they walked. Most of the knights knew this feeling. They could be through the worse and their wounds would heal, but what they saw everyday would never leave their minds. But that’s what Leon used to get up every morning and do his job, because of those scenes he had since over the years he had been a knight of Camelot. It was the drive you needed to rush into battle without thinking and it might being your last. Every knight had seen the fair share of one event or more in Camelot and still had it there hunting in the back of their mind.
To the tunnels it was. Maybe Morgana was really down there, hiding from all the knights around looking for her, and she was just waiting out there to either make her getaway or to plan her next attack. Which Leon hoped wouldn’t happen; he didn’t think anyone could go through another day of that. Once was enough. As they walked down the steps and out into the courtyard, where a few knights were cleaning up the mess, and guards helping the towns people along. The King. It was a question on Leon’s mind for a while. He didn’t know if the King would recover, maybe in time he would. “I don’t know”, he spoke truthly, “I think he’s been hit the worst with everything that’s gone on, and he may never recover from what Morgana has done”. Leon was sure that the King had been just as surpised as the knights were, and who knew what Morgana had done to him.
