Oh day! Oh glorious day! What a beautiful day it was indeed! So incredible! So filled with life! So . . . Vivian. Everything was about Vivian today! The way her golden hair glistened in the sunlight. The softness of her fair skin! The way she yelled at the stable boy when she was displeased. Even her expression when twisted in disgust, looked breathtaking! YES! What a perfect word to describe her! Positively breathtaking! Like an angel, a descendant from heaven. How else could one describe absolute perfection! She was the epitome of beauty and grace! Oh how Arthur desired her touch. How he wished to just hold her in his arms . . . forever! He needed to win his love over. He needed to -- as he had so eloquently put it to Merlin -- woo her! Merlin had suggested flowers, and that was a wonderful idea! But while Merlin was off doing that, Arthur could talk to her.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but any more distance between Arthur and his true love, would only cause heartache! He could not stand being apart from her. He did not know why he hadn't recognized such a powerful affection for her before. He was blind! BLINDED by the overwhelming sense of love he felt his heart overflowing with. How he craved her touch, her kiss, her . . . He could no longer stand it! Seeing her in the courtyard, Arthur would have to take his chances. He could not resist her company any longer! Had she not been away this morning, he would have sought her out the moment he woke up. He walked towards his mirror, fixing his hair a little, inspecting himself. He needed to look presentable to the woman who held his heart!
Once he was satisfied, he made his way through the castle halls. He felt so giddy that some of his steps could have easily been mistaken for little skips. He was in such a fantastic mood though, nothing could bring him down! The eagerness to see her made his steps quicker though, as he made his way outside and saw her . . her . . . Vivian . . . Angel of Beauty . . . Divine Perfection . . . oh how could a man see such a sight without the worry of going blind with magnificence was impossible. Arthur just gazed at her longingly, feeling his heart beat faster with every move she made. Every elegant step she took . . . she was so desirable. He noticed she seemed to be heading towards the garden, not surrounded by the swarms of guards her father often insisted she had. Arthur would take advantage of this. And the fact that practically no one was around in the gardens. She would be the most beautiful flower there!
FLOWERS! Maybe he could give her a little something as a precursor to the bouquet that Merlin was going to give her -- had better give her! He quickly looked around and saw a flower. A gorgeous pink flower. He picked it up and held it in is hand. He then went back to looking at her, feeling oddly nervous. Taking a deep breath, he slowly made his way over to her, moving a bit quickly so that he suddenly jumped in front of her. It seemed that all the words he had rehearsed to say to her were gone! For once look into her alluring eyes, and he was lost. But he had to say something, anything! OH! The flower! "A beautiful flower for an even more beautiful lady," he said as he lowered himself in a bit of a bow and held the flower out for her to take.

It had been a terrible morning, just terrible! Was no one in this place capable of getting anything right? Vivian thought not. They were just as incompetent as anything.
“You idiot!” she’d yelled at the stable boy, as he’d almost let her fall off of her horse when helping her down, “I could’ve done myself a serious injury! And you would be to blame!” she carried on, “My father wouldn’t have liked it if that had happened to me!” Of course the stable boy merely muttered his apologies. Typical. He should be begging for her forgiveness. In the end she rolled her eyes and stomped off. She was finally free of the guards she’d had ride out with her that morning. Now it was time to unwind and actually find something to do.
Vivian decided to head to the gardens. At least she’d get some peace there.
No – forget that. She wouldn’t because she could hear someone following her already! What was it was it with people in Camelot, couldn’t they leave her alone for five minutes? She turned around only to be greeted with the sight of Prince Arthur. Vivian didn’t care much about him, or even knowing him. There wasn’t a point anyway. If a man so much as spoke to her then her father would have them round the neck as quick as a flash.
Great. She looked him up and down and then gave him an unpleasant look “Yes?” she asked haughtily and was then met with a flower being held out to her. She looked at Arthur, then at the flower, then back to Arthur again.
“Flowers make me sneeze,” she simply said.
Vivian turned to walk away but then turned back to Arthur held up her head a little more, “and if this is some kind of gesture? Then for your sake I’d give up now – otherwise if my father sees you then he’ll be running at you with his sword”. Vivian had seen it before. She knew the drill. Arthur wasn’t the first to try any of this on her and he certainly wouldn’t be the last.
With a roll of the eyes, she turned on her heel and began to stomp off again.

Flowers make her sneeze! Oh the bloody imperfection of flowers! To cause such discomfort in his love! How dare they! He would burn every flower for her! He would pull out every seed every laid in the ground to grow them. For her. He would do the impossible! As soon as she said that, he tossed the flower to the ground, suppressing an intense glare at the vicious plant. But he could not show anything but affection when in the company of the vivacious Vivian. When she was about to leave, Arthur nearly gasped in fear. She could not! How could he tell her how he felt if she left him? How could he woo her if she did not give him the chance! But much to his pleasure and delight, she paused . . . only to tell him something that seemed to be yet another obstacle in their paths. But it was not impossibly overcome. He would do whatever it took to be with her . . . even if her father tried to come in between them.
"Your father's sword does not scare me," he said a bit overly dramatically. He took a few steps towards her, wanting to forever close the distance between them. But this was a delicate matter, as she had already expressed. But again, it was nothing that they could not move past. The power of love was a strong force! One that should never be underestimated. But . . . OH NO! She was leaving again! Arthur quickened his pace, moving in front of her to block her path. The poor woman. She was probably so afraid to embrace her feelings. She was probably so scared for . . . for him! It was why she showed no interest! My, she was such a noble woman. So pure. So compassionate! It only made his lover for her strengthen as she clearly cared for his well being.
He took her hand and held it against his chest, more specifically his heart. He placed his other hand over it as if to keep it in place. "Do not run from what we both know can not be avoided. For love should be embraced; it should not be defied." He looked at her very intently as he spoke these 'sincere' words. "True love really can conquer all. And a love as strong as ours . . . can overcome anything." He never wanted to let go of her hand. He wanted her to feel his heart beat, for it beat only for her. He needed her to understand that her father did not have to come between them, for the force of love would overthrow his wrath! That she need not fear for with this strong emotion on their side . . . they would win.

She’d heard it all before. Many people misinterpreted her father and what he was capable of. “You won’t be saying that when it’s sticking into you, or anything at all for that matter” she pursed her lips and walked off. Men! they could be so strange – especially ones who were trying to hard to get her attention. As she carried on she could still hear the footsteps pursuing her. Why was he still following her? Was he deaf as well as stupid? She turned around angrily to face him. “Why are you following me?” she demanded. Her eyes widened in surprise as her hand was pulled to his chest and he began to rant on about love and how it shouldn’t be hid.
She snatched her hand away and wiped it down her dress, giving him a look of disgust. “Ergh!” she glared, “Love? I think not!” she argued, “what on earth gave you the idea that I would love you? Or even consider it?”. She couldn’t help but laugh at this. “Now go away and leave me to walk in peace”.
With that she continued to walk, hoping to get away from the prince as soon as possible, but she had one last thing to say to him. Just so he got the message.
“Oh and another thing…” she began, “don’t touch me again”
She looked to her hand and wiped it on her dress just to make sure that all traces of the psycho prince were eradicated. What on earth had gotten into him? Apart from the silly thoughts about love obviously. Hopefully now he’d got the message – or at least had taken a hint that she wasn’t the slightest bit interested in him or his flower.

Why was he following her?! Why did she keep leaving him! "Because like a moth to a flame, I can not resist your light! You ignite my heart, and my soul, my dear Lady Vivian!" Oh the torment of her walking away. Of not being able to embrace her in his arms. She pulled away from his touch and all he could feel was the strong absence of her soft fair skin lightly brushing against him. If love drove a person mad, then he was beyond insane! How could she not return his feelings though? This was why he needed something more than a pathetic flower to woo her. He would pull the stars from the sky for her! Give her the moon in her hand! Anything her heart so desired, he would give. He needed to tell her this, but expressing his feelings, even when they were this strong . . . was not exactly the easiest task for him. Of course, that did not mean he was about to give up.
Even though she had told him to bugger off, even though she wiped her hand clean of his touch, even though she was yet again walking away from him . . . he still followed. He could not let himself be apart from her for every time she was not in his sight, he felt his heart break piece by piece . . . only to be mended as a whole when his eyes lay rest on her beautiful self. He moved in front of her and went on to his knees, as if to make a dramatic statement. He was not going to propose to her of course! Not yet! It was far too early for that, to ask for her hand in marriage . . . he would wait until tomorrow to do that. "Peace! You ask for peace and I ask for only the same. So please, do not deprive me of your company and grace. Grant me solace! Grant me peace!" He did not care if he was getting dramatic. He loved her! He wanted the whole world to know it! He didn't even care if her father was around. Olaf did not scare him! He would defeat any obstacle that came between them! Just wait and see!
"For you, My lovely Lady Vivian, hold my heart in your hand." To add to the histrionics of this entire thing, he held out his hand for her to take, as if making a symbolic gesture. She held her heart, and he could not wait for the day when hers would unite with his, for then they could truly be together. It may be unrequited love right now, but he would make her see that they were meant to be together! That fighting it would achieve nothing! Only devastation! Still on his knees, his longing gaze rested on her, his hand held out, and he felt the strong nerves of this whole thing. All he wanted to do was hold her . . . all she wanted to do was walking away! But he needed her! He needed her love! He needed his Vivian!

“Well then put the fire out, because you do not ‘ignite’ mine” She became impatient now. The manic obsessive prince would soon be trying to break into her chambers if it meant that she was able to ‘ignite his heart’ again.
She picked up a stick and then stopped to turn around. “Ok!” she shouted as he carried on following her, “I will say this once and only once, and if you do not listen to me then I swear that you’ll not only be on the receiving end of my father’s wrath but mine too!” She pointed the stick at him; if he touched her again she’d hit him for sure. She paused and then said very slowly.
“GO. AWAY.”
What on earth was wrong with him? He was like a man possessed! Vivian felt a small growl rise in her throat, but maintained some composure, so as to seem like the lady that she was. He was now on his knees in front of her. She rolled her eyes. “Get up!” she demanded, “this is ridiculous – you’re, ridiculous” she emphasised the ‘you’re’ so as he would take a hint. She knew it wouldn’t work though; he hadn’t left her alone so far.
“Peace?!” she stared at him a little crazily, “the only time that I’ll get peace is when you take a hint and leave me alone!” she turned her back on him, “if you want peace, go and listen to the talks that our father’s are having”.
She began to walk again but he was now in front of her once again, holding out his hand. Ergh, she wasn’t about to touch him again. She looked down at his hand and then up at him a few times. “I see no heart” she looked at him blankly, “and to be honest, the thought of it disgusts me very much – for one you’d not even be standing because…well, you’d be dead – and secondly, I would never touch you because quite frankly that thought also disgusts me as much as the first!” she told him bluntly. “Now do me a favour and leave me be!”
She pushed past him and headed off into the courtyard and back into the castle. She needed to lie down. Just the job of talking to Arthur was a complete headache, let alone having to fend him off with a stick.

Arthur felt like he was going to cry. The more she resisted, the more desperate his compulsion to be with her became! She used such harsh words, when he was only informing her that their love would be a grand love. Why was she fighting it?! It only wasted time between them. They could be doing so much more right now . . . rather than engaging in sword play with sticks. Maybe this was a kind of game? No no. Arthur may be delusional but he recognized her words of rejection, even if he chose not to accept them. He obviously wasn't going to give up that easily. There was still hope! Even if he said otherwise. He still loved her! Even if she wanted him to go away. And the sooner she realized that, the sooner they could be happy together. And start planning a wedding! A GRAND wedding! Without flowers of course!
When she held the stick towards him, he held out his hands, defensively, as if he was surrendering. "I am a lover, not a fighter," he told her, wanting her to know that he would never get violent. That she had touched his heart. Touched his soul. She was his everything. His reason for getting out of bed. His reason for breathing. The first thing he thought about when he woke up; and the last thing he thought about before he went to bed. He wanted her to lie next to him every night, so that he would not have miss her . . . though even in his dreams, it was only her who appeared. He needed her! How could he possibly live without her?! He could not even bear the thought of her starting to walk away from him!
"No my love," he said shaking his head stubbornly. "The only way peace can ever come to me, is with you. For if you leave, I will be forever restless!" He wouldn't be able to sleep, to eat, to do anything! If she ever left him. He would win her love! It was not a matter of if, but rather, when! But . . . she was walking past him again! Oh no! This was terrible! He quickly rose to his feet and turned as she began to storm off. "Please! Do not leave me in this way! I beg of you!" Yes. BEG! But she did not seem to be stopping. And with her nearer the castle, he knew his time with her alone was very limited. So before she disappeared, he called after her one more thing. "You take my heart with you!" He repeated in a slightly raised voice so that she could hear him. He continued to look at her, but his next words were spoken in a lower volume, more so to himself rather than for anyone else to hear. "And I shall come to retrieve it." Yes. He was ridiculously stubborn. He would see her again! And this time, he would find more than a stupid flower to woo her with.

She was seriously going to do bad things to him if he didn’t leave her alone. Now he was raving on about being a lover and not a fighter. From his reputation, Vivian had heard that Arthur was more into swinging a sword around than actually mastering the art of verbal communication. “I couldn’t care less if you fell down a never ending hole” she told him, “How many times do I have to get it through to you? IM NOT INTRESTED! NOT IN YOU OR YOUR SO CALLED ‘LOVE’ THAT YOU HAVE FOR ME”.
But of course, being Arthur he still followed. "The only way peace can ever come to me, is with you. For if you leave, I will be forever restless!".
“Then start getting used to the sleepless nights – there is no way on earth that I would even consider thinking of you as anything more than an acquaintance”.
He was in denial – how on earth could anyone speak so highly in the way they did of him when he was clearly a nutcase. Not to mention a flower-giving stalker. As she carried on up the steps and into the castle she heard him call back something about taking his heart with her.
She wouldn’t do anything of the sort. It disgusted her to think that a mad man such as Arthur could like…no wait, love, her.
Vivian continued to her chambers and slammed the door behind her when she was finally inside. Her window overlooked the courtyard and she wouldn’t be surprised if Arthur scaled the walls and came in that way with a flower in between his teeth! She locked the window just incase of this.
She sat at her dresser and began to unpin her hair. Gwen was never around when she needed her so it was pointless in calling her now. She made a mental note never to answer her chamber door in her nightgown. Even if she wasn’t wearing it now, there was every chance that Arthur would be back again.
And this time, she would be ready.

Arthur watched his one true love helplessly watch away. He was far from discouraged though. He would soon win her love! It would be worth it! It would be an epic love indeed! Though, in the meantime, the distance between them was too unbearable. It physically caused him heartache to not be able to see her. To not be able to touch her . . . to hold her. To just be with her. She had just left and it felt like he had not seen her for hours, days, YEARS! He wanted her to return to him! He needed to find a way. Merlin! Right! Merlin was supposed to deliver flowers to her so once she saw those, surely everything would be better. What woman did not like flowers anyhow? He wished to woo her! Flowers was a start, but he needed more than that. A love as strong as this . . . he definitely needed more! All the riches of the world still would not be sufficient!
The day -- or few hours -- dragged on. He missed his love. Vivian. Saying her name caused him both pleasure and pain. Such a beautiful name it was. Vivian. Vivian. Vivian. The name replayed in his head like a broken record, though he would never grow tired of thinking it . . . or saying it . . . or hearing it! He had to see her! Merlin didn't even understand, for he had the audacity to call her a servant. He had slapped him well on the cheek for such insolence, but it meant that Arthur would have to woo her on his own. He thought about what the best course of action to take would be. Flowers, check. What now? Jewels? Hmm. Maybe he should start a bit smaller. That would probably be best. He wanted to find a way to spend time with her . . . visit her at her chambers. But, how could he impress her? Maybe with . . . . food? FOOD! YES! Perfect! This filled the prince with great excitement.
He sent an order to the kitchen to prepare the best meal of chicken that was within their capacity. It would still be inadequate compared to what she deserved, but it was all he had! In the mean time, he readied himself. He changed his jacket, looking at himself in the mirror, adjust his coat a bit so that it was positioned perfectly as he began to practice. He held a rose in his hand, one that was meant for her, yet he was trying to determine the best way to present it to her. "A flower for my love," he said while he bowed in front of the mirror. No no! He had already said something similar to that. "A perfect rose for a perfect woman!" Hmm. That was also too similar. "My Lady," he said taking a deeper bow as he extended the rose to her. That didn't work either! Arthur stood with a straight posture once again as he stared at his reflection. Perhaps poetry would be the best course of action. "A strong love, from the heaven's above. A tender kiss, your touch I miss." Arthur was too delusional to realize just how corny that poem truly sounded.
He looked at himself, rather proud of the eased rhythm of the words he had just said. "Perfect!" He said to himself at he continued to look at the mirror. He became distracted when he heard a knock at the door. He hurriedly went to answer it seeing a servant standing outside with a large platter. He eagerly took it from him and dismissed him. Arthur delicately placed the rose with it, inspecting it, before deciding that it was time. He was ready to go visit his love! Straightening his posture, he began to walk over to her room -- or where he knew she would be remaining during the duration of her stay. When he got there he just stared at the door for a moment. To think, his love was behind this very door. Awaiting him! Well, he shan't keep her waiting any longer! Putting one hand on his hip and trying to look as suave as possible, he raised his hand, balled it into a fist and knocked on her door. He felt his heart beat quicken with excitement and anticipation, only but a little nervous over what she might say. How could she resist . . . he had chicken!

She had bored herself long enough with embroidery and whatnot for one evening. Now she was brushing her hair for the fifth time that day and waiting for Gwen to come and help her ready herself to retire for the evening.
She was sure that her tiresome attitude was because Prince Arthur had done nothing but stalk her all day! Flowers? Really? It was so cliché when trying to make an effort. Plus she didn’t like flowers, they made her sneeze. Vivian was surprised that for the rest of the afternoon she hadn’t heard or seen him. On returning to her room she’d been quite certain that within the hour he’d be doing something like serenading her outside her window or getting down on one knee to propose. That thought made her feel physically sick, and Vivian had found that she couldn’t eat anything for supper because of it.
She looked at herself in the mirror. It was quite obvious to see why Arthur was trailing her like a little lost puppy. She was beautiful after all – her hair and eyes being her best feature if she thought so herself. Not that she was big headed. She brushed a thick section of her hair and smiled to herself. Yes, she knew why Arthur was following her. Because she was irresistible to men in general.
“Hmm” she admired herself in the mirror, satisfied with what she saw. “I quite like my hair today”.
Then there was a knock at the door. Vivian stopped what she was doing immediately. Who was knocking at this…oh no…please not him.
“Who is it?” she called out
Please not him, please not him. Please please please not him!

"Who is it?" Oh Divine Mercy! Who would have thought that three words could have such an effect; such an impact on him! They were beautifully spoken! So melodic! Like an angel singing to him! Glorious! Oh how he hated the door! It was a barrier to him and his true love! He wanted to break it down, run to her, hold her in his arms . . . forever! But then the chicken would fall on the ground and get dirty. He couldn't have that now could he! He felt himself get oddly increasingly nervous, as he anxiously waited for her to open the door. He would of course have to answer the question first. "It is destiny my love!" He exclaimed in a strong voice. He made a bit of a face, realizing he may have to do one better. She was a high class woman! One who he knew was well out of his league, but that could not stop him from being with her. Nothing could stop true love! Nothing could stop their destinies. He loved her and he wanted to -- needed to -- be with her. He would not give up until he convinced her that they were truly meant to be together. That their love was the grandest love in all the world!
"Destiny . . . and chicken!" He further announced. They could share a late night meal together! How special! How romantic! They could be alone in her chambers, eat . . . energize themselves for later. Arthur smiled at the thought of this. He had to make sure he was presentable at least! He continued to hold onto the platter with one hand and then brought up his other hand to the front of his mouth. He exhaled heavily, testing his breath. Alright so it seemed fine! He would not need to freshen up again! Wonderful! From all the nervousness he felt he might be sweating, thus letting out an undesirable stench. While he did not smell anything he just had to be sure. He lowered his head to the side a bit, opening the flap of his coat and smelling his underarms, without trying to look too obvious about it.
That was when the door opened.
His head snapped up when he saw her. She took his breath away! She was so gorgeous it was painful! Pure agony to have any distance between them. He could feel his heart quicken its pace, though he had to remain outwardly composed for he was trying to impress her with his charm and suaveness. It was not very suave to be drooling at the mouth, so he had to keep everything contained within him. Until she provided him with that opportunity to let it all out. "What a beautiful combination, eh?" He asked in a soft voice, hoping she would take him up on his offer for company, and chicken! Surely, no woman could refuse this! But if she did, all it meant was that he would have to work all the harder to find a successful way to woo her.

Unfortunately her fears were confirmed when she heard Arthur’s voice through the door.
Destiny and WHAT?
Did he just say chicken? Chicken??!! He was clearly nuts. How could anyone not see it! Great – what an irritating end to an even more irritating day. She wouldn’t be surprised if Arthur actually was present in her dreams that night – he was like a leech!
Vivian rolled her eyes. Couldn’t he leave her be for five minutes? She was seriously considering having her room guarded – Arthur needed retaining, or a muzzle at least.
She got up and walked to the door, throwing it open with a displeased look on her face. He appeared to look up right away; obviously he smelt under his arms before she’d opened the door - Very classy. “What a beautiful combination, eh?”
There was hardly anything beautiful about Arthur standing there with a plate of chicken and checking for sweat patches! She looked him up and down and then slammed the door in his face. For crying out loud he needed someone else to find to be freaky with – perhaps she could rope Gwen into having Arthur stalk her for a change. All Vivian wanted was some peace away from annoying princes who thought that a chicken could win her over!
She heard the door open as she walked back to her dresser and turned. Wasn’t he ever going to give up!!!! Now he was talking about what was a bit cold and something else – she didn’t care, she didn’t want to listen – all she wanted was to go back to brushing her hair.
Vivian stalked back to the door where Arthur was hovering, trying to be the persistent male that he was. Once again she was repeating herself.
“Go away!”

When she opened the door, he could have sworn that his heart exploded from all the rush of emotions that filled him. What a beautiful angel! What a glorious creation from the heaven's above! The way her golden hair curled itself, cascading past her shoulders and down her back! Her ravishing large eyes! Her grace as she walked towards the door! How could someone gaze upon her and not feel like they would lose all sense of sanity?! She was just . . . beyond anything that words could describe! Every time he saw her she left him speechless for words to explain just how beautiful she was, but at the same time, so many words came to mind that he wanted to say. Oh to see her now! Arthur wanted to throw the platter of chicken off to the side, pull her in his arms, dip her at an angle, and kiss her like he has never kissed anyone ----------
SLAM!
The door was once again a barrier between him and his love. He had only caught a brief glimpse of her! Just had so many emotions had rushed him when he saw her, so many emotions now filled him at the devastating loss! He looked at the door perplexed, clearly not adhering to the implication of her harsh rejection. Not even a door could stand between them! It was not locked either! He had not heard her lock it! So she liked the chase then did she?! Arthur would chase her for the rest of his life, and steal as many kisses and touches in between as he possibly could! He would follow her anywhere! To the outskirts of any kingdom! To the edge of a cliff! To the ends of the earth! He wanted her! He needed her! And now, he was going to win over his love, not allowing something as permeable as a door to come between them!
He opened the door anyway, still standing in the threshold but taking a very small step forward. He put his hand on his hip again, trying to regain his suave position. "The beans are a little cold, but the meat is very good," he assured her, acting as if that was the problem. As if it was the chicken that made her close the door. While he waited for her response, he was now able to feast his eyes on her beauty yet again. There was too much distance between them, but he did not yet close it. He remained in place, though the impatience was building within him. He could not ruin this though! He wanted everything to happen perfectly. They could enjoy a nice meal together, he would feed her beans! And then, in the opportune moment, he would embrace her as the love of his life that she was. And that moment, would have been worth every second of waiting.

Vivian wanted to literally ram Arthur’s face into the door in an attempt to actually knock some sense into him! But she couldn’t, because he was the prince. Now he’d opened the door raving on about the beans and meat that he had brought for her.
“Beans make my stomach ache” she’d wanted to say, but couldn’t. She’d also wanted to dump them over Arthur’s head, but knew this wasn’t exactly lady like. No – she had to keep strong and keep turning him away. Beans? Beans for heavens sake! Beans were not romantic! Neither was chicken, but yet Arthur seemed to have this crazy idea that it would instantly make her fall for him. Over her dead body!
“Go away!” she rolled her eyes and flounced back over to the door, “My father will kill you if he finds you here”.
Her father would even dig Arthur’s grave, bury him and then dance on top of it, if it had meant taking down any man who came within a certain radius of her. She remembered Lord Gregory’s son. He’d tried to kiss Vivian at her birthday celebrations when they were both ten years old. Just a little peck on the cheek. Olaf had seen and had run at the boy brandishing a knife around his head. Vivian and the other guests had watched on in shock – Olaf had even thrown down his gauntlet in front of the boy!
She’d never seen Lord Gregory or his son again. Vivian had always thought her father had killed them both but thankfully now she knew that he hadn’t. Harsh words were exchanged between both men and that was the end of that.
Now she turned back to Arthur, waiting for an explanation as to why on earth he was there and why he wouldn’t bugger off when she wanted him too!

When she turned away from him, Arthur's gaze trailed over her body, practically memorizing every curve, every curl in her perfect hair, everything about her. She was perfection! He wanted to rip his heart out add it to this platter . . . but somehow, he doubted she would like that. She didn't even seem to like his beans! [No kinkiness intended]. But really. How gorgeous was she! He contemplated starting to sing to her, to serenade her. If the beans and chicken didn't work maybe he could try another tactic. He even had a flower to her, and Merlin should have sent flowers to her earlier in the day too. Were they here?! He wanted to look around and check for them but he could not break his sight from her in all her ravishing, alluring, radiant --
"Go Away!" Arthur's smile faded and it was replaced with utter confusion. What could he have possibly done to make her so angry?!"My love, I do not know what I've done to offend you," he commented, the confusion evident in his tone. Whatever it was, he would gladly remedy it! He never wanted to offend her! Was it the flowers? The chicken? The beans?! After all, they did say that beans did give a person strong levels of flatulence . . . is that what this was about?! Curse the beans! When her back was to him, Arthur glanced at them and silently mouthed accusingly Its all your fault! but quickly repositioned his eyes onto her when she looked back at him. When she began to speak about her father, Arthur immediately understood.
She was worried about him! She was worried about her father finding them out! How incredibly sweet of her! She was so thoughtful; so compassionate; so adorable! His expression once again changed, and it became more confident. In an almost arrogant and presuming tone of voice, he replied. "Your father does not worry me," he informed her in a strongly confident tone of voice. So that was what it was! It wasn't the beans, or him . . . it was her father! True love would conquer her father's wrath. He didn't care about that old fart of a man! How could he possibly keep his destiny from him? He could not! That was the simplest answer! Arthur would be with her, no matter what King Olaf said.

“Your love? Not now nor ever!” her eyes widened! She was disgusted by that term! By the thought in itself! Her and Arthur! Pffffft! That would be the day! What on earth was he talking about! Surely he wasn’t that infatuated with her already??!! She’d been here but a day and already he was stalking her! She leant lazily against the door.
Arthur was now saying that her father didn’t scare him? Well clearly he didn’t know him that well at all! “You will do when he’s running at you with a knife in his hand! I’ve seen it before” she justified the situation, raising her brows and giving him a small warning glare just to show exactly how serious she was. If her father so much as saw Arthur talking to her now then there would be hell to pay. Not that she was thinking about the prince’s welfare or anything. She knew what her father could be like and she didn’t want a repeat of what happened with Lord Gregory’s son.
She saw Arthur’s expression change. At least the message of that was getting through a little bit.
ooc: sorry it's so short!

"Your love? Not now nor ever!" Really?! Arthur still did not understand what he could have possibly done to offend her! He loved her! That was all he ever did! Love her unconditionally! And now she was saying that she would never be his love? NEVER?! That was quite a long time! Never was . . . well, it was a long time! But he would still not accept defeat, he would fight for her until his heart stopped beating. Hopefully it would not come to that though. He wanted to spend his life with her, not planning out how he was going to die if she rejected him. "Come now," he said in a stubborn yet soft voice. Arthur Pendragon never admitted defeat, and he sure was not going to start now! All he needed was a few moments. Alright so she didn't like the beans and chicken. All he wanted to do was kiss her and show her -- since telling her was failing -- just how much he loved her. It could start with a kiss and quite potentially lead to far more intimate actions that Arthur knew if he thought about, would make him explode with arousal.
Her next words deflated this though, and his expression went from smooth and sure, to a bit of a confused and surprised one. "Really?" He asked, a bit dumbfounded. Had Olaf really done that?! He wondered just how true the rumors were about how protective he was . . . but if he was running after admirers with a knife in his hand, then the rumors much be true, and clearly not the slightest bit exaggerated. When she confirmed his questioned, and slammed the door in his face, Arthur was still ever so determined to stay there. "Just five minutes!" He begged, desperately, still not willing to move from her door. He was contemplating throwing the platter aside and just hugging the door until she opened it. He probably would have done it too! . . . Had Merlin not been walking down the halls.
"My Lord, I don't think your advances are welcome."
Arthur stopped knocking when Merlin approached him. He did not want his man servant to see him in such a clear state of rejection. It was wounding to his pride, but that did not hurt as much as it hurt his heart! He wanted to be with her, and she just wanted him to go away! It was not yet requited love, and he needed to think of a bigger gesture than this to win her over. Her thoughts could not be so unwavering that she refused to ever accept their true love. That they were meant to be together forever . . . that destiny as calling him to her for they were bounded together by fate! The sooner she realized this, the sooner they could begin to express their love for one another.

Once again she slammed the door in his face. Would he ever take the hint and see that she wasn’t in the slightest bit interested in him! The nerve! Giving her flowers and bringing beans! Ergh! It was disgusting! Vivian neither cared for petty little things such as these – she had no idea why people went on about how grand love was. It wasn’t – it was just…well it should be outlawed! Vivian shuddered as Arthur hammered on the door asking for five minutes. HA! He wasn’t having so much as five seconds with her, let alone five minutes!
“Go away! And take your chicken with you!” she yelled and sat herself back down at her vanity. She pushed her shoulders back more and looked down at her chest. “Hmmm….not bad” she gave herself a satisfied look, and began to brush her hair again. There was no more noise from outside – thankfully Arthur had gone now, or so she hoped. Vivian got up and opened the door, looking up and down the hallway, before down at the floor incase he’d left his gesture at her door. Thankfully the beans and Arthur were long gone. She breathed a sigh of relief and closed the door again. “Destiny…” she huffed, “Chicken! Of all the nerve!” she started to complain and rant about Arthur to herself. He’d been a much different character when she’d arrived, then again of course he’d have fallen for her. She was after all very pretty, so it was obvious that something like this was going to happen. Vivian knew she should’ve prepared herself more for this. Next thing would be that he was proposing to her. Ewwwww. Vivian Pendragon really did not sound amazing – no matter how many other women wanted to be Arthur’s bride. She for one most certainly did not, and would never be!

Arthur felt heartbroken. Heartbroken! As if his heart had been ripped from his chest and shattered into a million pieces! How could it not be?! His heart's desire had rejected him! She had deprived him of her. She was his sun; his moon; his air; his . . . everything! He needed her to breath. He needed her to survive! And yet, she would rather watch him crumble into the depths of despair! Arthur dragged his feet back to his room. He slammed the platter of chicken and beans on the table. He would have thrown a hissy fit, or thrown all the beans on Merlin's face . . . but he was too depressed. He went over to his window, leaning against it; a common position when he was so deep in thought. Only this time, he found himself peering down, to see how high up he was. If he were to jump from here, would he die? Yes. Yes he would. That was was what he felt like doing right now.
Throwing himself over the balcony and yelling out I will always love you Vivian! right before the cruel world took his life. The thought was tempting and as it filled his mind, he let out a sigh. Arthur never sighed. But he felt the need to right now. He missed her. He felt like he was suffocating and the only way to be granted oxygen and the liberty of breath . . . was her. Was her gentle kiss, something he so desperately craved. He wanted her . . . he needed her . . . and she rejected him. Should he give up? Was there any reason to live? No! To the first question in Arthur's mind. He should not give up! He would find a way to bring her to him! To make her realize that they were meant to be. That they belonged together. She just needed him to kiss her, then she would feel the world turn beneath them. Yes! That was what Arthur needed to do; keep wooing her. He could not give up all hope. She was too precious to him to just give up. Some things were worth fighting for, and this was one of them.
He quickly changed into his night clothing and crawled into bed. He was not tired. He felt so restless. He did not think he would be alone tonight. He thought he would just be holding Vivian in his arms, tenderly kissing her, telling her how much he loved her! But alas, he was in his room which felt larger and more empty than usual. He stared up at the ceiling, a vivid of her pure perfection entering his mind. Vivian. Vivian. Vivian. The name repeated over and over in his mind, a goofy smile forming on his lips as he thought about her. About how desirable she was! About how everything about her made her more of a goddess than merely a person. He closed his eyes, finding himself drifting, and knowing he would have very pleasant dreams tonight. Dreams, that were filled with her. Dreams, that he would make come true.

The next morning….
Vivian yawned and opened her eyes. Oh what a beautiful morning it was! There had never been one like it! And all because of Arthur, Arthur Pendragon her one true love! It was just meant to be! She couldn’t eat! Nor would she sleep until she felt his lips on hers ! Her heart ached at the thought of them being so near, yet so far to one another. Vivian giggled and bounced around on her bed, “Arthur, Arthur, Arthur” she jumped with excitement, saying his name over and over again as though it were a song! Vivian felt like singing, singing of her love straight from the tallest turret of the castle, to the whole of Camelot! Everyone should know of her feelings! Her love for him, and how true it rang.
Skipping around her room a fair few times had become a new hobby for over an hour at least. Just the thought of Arthur was bringing joy to her, and she HAD to see him! Trickler had suggested that she should go in her nightdress, that was all well and good as she would look far more desirable for Arthur! Vivian ran down the hallways and skidded to a halt outside Arthur’s door. In her hand was a rose. He had to like flowers! Who didn’t! she sniffed the rose and sneezed, it did not matter – nothing mattered except their love! She banged on the door only to be met with the servant boy. What was his name? Martin? She didn’t care, she just wanted to see Arthur! He was not there? How dreadful! She would just have to wait until he returned. Barging past Martin, Marvin…whatever…she jumped on his bed and rolled herself around in the sheets. Oh how they smelt so wonderful! Of Arthur! She grabbed a pillow and sniffed it, hesitating slightly to make sure that it smelt the same. And oh how it did! It was miraculous!
Merlin was now making all the excuses for her to leave, but she would not be moved! Not until her love was in sight! And then, darkness.
Arthur Pendragon was in her dreams once more. And what beautiful dreams they were. They were chasing after one another through a field of beautiful wild flowers. Of course she was teasing him so as he could catch her and take her in his arms. “Oh Arthur! How beautiful love can be!” she sighed as they lay together in between the flowers of the field, so high that no one would ever see them. “We shall be together until the end of time.”
Dreams, how lovely they were.
