Arthur was sitting in his chambers in pure shock. He was sitting at his desk, just staring at it with his wide eyes. How could this be? He wished his ears had not correctly . . . and yet, they did. He had heard every single word. He had heard his father admit something to Gaius. A truth he had withheld from both Arthur and Morgana . . . who were apparently brother and sister?! Arthur mind could not register around this fact. That he actually had blood ties to her. When all this time, he had considered her a sister of heart; only now to find out that she was actually his sister. That she was not Gorlois' daughter, but Uther's. That his father had lied them both. And he knew yet. Even though Arthur did not accept this reasoning. He should have told him. Both of them had a right to know the truth.
Especially Morgana. The truth about her father should not be kept from her. How could Arthur keep this from her? His father seemed willing but . . . Arthur couldn't. Yet, how did he broach such a subject? How did he introduce it? 'Oh hey Morgana, by the way, we are actually brother and sister.' . . . No. He needed to find a way to delicately bring it up. Whenever he managed to snap out of the state of shock he was in. Whenever he managed to stop staring so intently as the wood that the table was made of. He had a sister. A sister of blood and heart. All these years, all along . . . she had been his sister. He didn't know how to handle this information. He wanted to confront his father, but . . . he needed to calm down first. He needed to gather himself. Because . . . he had a sister!
He couldn't take this any more. He abruptly rose to his feet and left his room. He needed to speak to Morgana right away! Without stopping, he walked straight to her room, not even aware of the distance for his thoughts distracted his mind far too much. He only noticed that he was there when he was standing outside the door. Where he remained for several moments. How did he bring such a subject up? Would words find him when he needed them? How did he reveal something that his mind was still struggling to? His hand raised and knocked on the door a couple of times. Part of him hoped that she wasn't inside -- the cowardly part of him. The other part of him knew that he would have to eventually tell her. For it seemed that his father had no intention to.

The day had been one of warmth and sunshine, and as Morgana sat in front of her dressingroom's mirror, brushing her hair, she smiled, her heart feeling lighter than it had in a while. The dreams for now at least had stopped, and she and Arthur were to go riding later! Her brother of heart had spent much time with his council recently, and though she did not begrudge him, the brunette had to admit to missing his company (though she would never tell him that.) But Arthur had not come, and Morgana was wondering whether he had simply forgotten that they were supposed to go riding together. Well, no matter! She would tease him about it, and then they would go another time.
Little could phase Morgana, and she knew how busy her brother-of-heart was. Despite her teasing him often, she would never wish for them to swap places, for there was so much pressure upon him! And although he confided in her, it was still not sometimes enough to lower the pressures and expectations of the Prince. The brunette shook her head, with a soft sigh, her mind turning to their King, Uther, her guardian. The man was one of many curiosities, and yet Morgana still felt incredibly lucky to be under his protection. Despite his harsh laws, he was generally a just King; it was only his ban against magic that frightened the Ward.
Upon hearing the door knock, Morgana turned, an eyebrow raising a little. Was that perhaps Arthur? But he never knocked! So it must, surely be someone else. "It's open," she called softly, for her door was always open; whether it be Merlin, Guinevère, or any other friend! Still sitting, the brunette awaited the entrance of whomever was on the other side, a small smile on her face.
