Isadora laughed at his suggestion, then stopped abruptly when she realized he was serious. But she couldn't keep a straight face when he added to it, and she giggled at him, shaking her head. "You are so bad." She chastised him, but she didn't mean it. She put her hands on his shoulders and kissed him on the cheek approvingly, aware that right now she was absolutely sending mixed messages and it was a wonder Alistair hadn't gone crazy yet.
"When we're married, you can tell them to go to hell for me." She just couldn't treat people that way, even though she loved it when he did. She wished she didn't have to worry what people thought about her all the time...and while he was right, she was a princess and ideally, she should be able to do what she wanted, but that was how you got all those spoiled princesses that gave the rest of them a bad name. "Politely." She added with a chuckle. [/size]

Everything was politely with nobles. If you burned down someone's home and slept with their wife and sent their children tot he mines you told them politely about it. He didn't understand the need for manners above all else but it worked for him when he said nothing and they couldn't call him out of it, because that would be rude. Rude was bad.
She kissed him and called him bad; bu her tone suggested bad was good this time. Both other times bad was bad. He gave up following the logic of her words and just took the kiss to mean it was good. "Just stare them next time and walk away. They are not going make you talk." He knew that for sure.

Isadora smiled when he told her to just stare at them. So they should both act like him? They'd drive the nobles insane. They'd go crazy trying to figure out what the royal couple meant, and eventually they'd just get tired of it all and go on a maddened killing spree, taking out everyone in the castle. So Isadora figured she'd just let him be the strong and silent one, and she could indulge the nobles by actually deigning to speak to them.
But if he wanted her to mimic him...she looked up at him, and then didn't say anything. She didn't smile, or blink, she just stared at him, in what she hoped was a good imitation of his own stare. She wondered how long was long enough to just keep staring at someone like this; did he have a time limit, or did he just hold the stare until he couldn't anymore? She could feel her own resolve breaking, so that was when she turned away from him and opened the door, leaning out slightly to make sure there was no one around to catch her sneaking out of the broom closet, before she stepped outside, following his advice, she walked away.
