Season 6 of Merlin

BAD NEWS GUYS!! It has officially been announced that this is the last season of Merlin! I have mixed feelings about this! On the one hand, I am going to SEVERELY MISS everything about the show!! The actors/characters were AMAZING and Merlin was what I REALLY looked forward to every year!!!

On the other hand, its better that they end on a high note rather than try to drag it out and let their ratings drop!! They are talking about making a three part movie series with a retelling of the story, implementing more about the myths, so we'll see how that goes!!

I'M SO SAD!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I have literally just seen this elsewhere and I am totally gutted, BUT like you say its better that it ends this way rather than potentially grow tiring like some shows do.

They wrote the entire 5 series knowing there would be no more ....what annoys me is they kept saying it would be down to viewers wether there would be a series 6. They said if we kept watching, they would keep making them.

Oh well. It can be continued throughout the world of rp for all time!

I was pretty sad when I heard that there wasn't going to be another season, but if there is going to be a 3-part movie featuring a re-telling, I hope they use the same actors from the series. I've really grown to love them and I think they all did an excellent job in the roles that were given to them.

I TOTALLY AGREE MORDRED!! I think the actors did a FANTASTIC job!! Sadly, it isn't confirmed about the three part movie! And IF they are doing it, they won't be using the same actors ! Bradley has already confirmed that he won't be part of it! And neither will the others like Angel, Colin, Katie, etc! All of them are already moving on with new projects and such! AND I believe the Merlin producers already have a new show planned for next year or so, called Atlantis !!

Sadly, Merlin really is over!! And their ratings for the finale were awful so I don't think they'll be continuing anything IT WILL BE MISSED THOUGH!!! I hope the fandom lives FOREVER!!!

I'm sure that it will xD I know I'd love to get my hands on the fifth season's DVD collection to complete everything. I think that sometimes even if a series is over, the fans loyalty/love for it can make it last a life time.

I ABSOLUTELY agree with you on that!!!! Some shows build SUCH a following that the fandom lasts YEARS after the shows ends!! (i.e. Buffy, Friends, etc) Despite all the controversy surrounding the show, writers, actors, and fans . . . theres still a strong group of us Merlinians out there !! Which is why I hope this role play lasts FOREVER!!! Rping and graphicing is what keeps this show alive for me !!
