Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Ffrom the moment that Morgana, and Guinevère, had been taken, the king ordered a search party be sent out. Arthur did not waste a single second. Both women were dear to him, but in very different ways. Despite the forced emotional distance he and Guinevère had to place between each other . . . his feelings for her grew every day. And now, knowing she was out there, in danger . . . well, it didn't take long for Arthur to organize a team of knights and set out to find her. The search was not long for they quickly found Morgana but . . . the first thing that Arthur asked was
"Where's Guinevère?" Morgana looked trouble and this was only further evidenced when she practically begged the king to go after Gwen. Arthur remained quiet. Had it not looked like Morgana needed tending to, he would have stayed out there. But the king's refusal to send anyone out did not discourage Arthur. He knew he had to follow his gut; he had to do what was right. And if that meant defying direct orders from the king . . . then so be it. That night, before Morgana even had to ask him, Arthur was already packing. She asked him to bring her home and Arthur would not rest until he had done so. He rode out that night, not stopping until the horse needed rest. And even then, only for a short while. He believed in his heart that Guinevère was alive . . . she had to be. And he would not rest, he would not stop until he found her and brought her to safety.

Guinevère, in Morgana's dress, walked into the main room and took notice of the cage int he middle right away. Her heart jerked out of fear, and she froze. The room was packed with too many men, and no enough room for a breeze. The air felt still and smelled like sweat and . . . blood.
She was going to be sick! 'Lady Morgana!' a voice called, and she looked toward Hengist. He didn't know yet. Keeping her shoulders squared and chin up, Guinevère walked toward. 'I've heard tales of your beauty, and each time I see you I am pleased to see they were true.' Thankfully these tales didn't linger on details, such as skin color, height, eye color, hair color, temperament, or any of the other ways Guinevère and Morgana differed. 'Come and sit, supper with me.'
Silently, too afraid to speak, Guinevère moved to sit beside him. 'I am curious, why your king has not paid your ransom yet?' he asked her, looking at her too closely. "As I have been here, how would I know?" She answered, trying to summon Morgana's ability to belittle men in her tone but it feel short. He didn't look afraid, annoyed or belittled. 'For your sake, it better come soon.'

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Hengist's residence was guarded heavily. He tried to assess the area, quickly survey it, but the safest way to do that . . . was in disguise. So Arthur waited until night fall, and knocked out a couple of his men. Dragging their bodies off, he quickly put on the vest and various pieces of attire and armour that would blend him in with the others. It helped that some concealed the lower half of their faces so he would be able to move about without detection or suspicion. This disguise gave him more freedom to move about. And as he walked, he made note of the entrances and exits. Of how many guards were stationed at each. He overheard one of them speak of the Lady Morgana, and Arthur paused for the briefest of moments. The Lady Morgana. Guinevère. He made his way to the cells where he nodded to one of the other guards.
"I am here to relieve your charge," he told him in a low voice. The guard looked over him before deciding that he was ready to be dismissed of it. No one liked standing guard. And with that, he couldn't help but look inside the cell, seeing Guinevère curled up on the bed. His heart ached for her, as he quickly tried to make an escape plan, knowing his position here would not last long. He had a sword at his side, and would have to make one hell of a run. That . . . was as far as he could get. He quickly turned around when one of the men made his way towards them, standing straight and acting as if he was on guard and not looking at her. "Hengist wishes to speak to the king's ward," he told them as he opened the cell and roughly pulled Guinevère to her feet. Arthur's hand went to the hilt of his sword, clenching his jaw under the fabric on his face. He knew it was now or never.
