Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT He had always thought that he would die for his kingdom. For Camelot. So many times he had faced danger, believing he would not come out alive . . . but that did not stop him from charging straight into it without a moment's hesitation. It was the desire of any man in his position. Not that anyone wanted to die, but . . . death was the only certainty in this world. The only inevitable fate. And so if he had to go down, if he had to die, he preferred it would be with honour. This, would save so many. It would save the kingdom because he had faith. His trust for the druids had led him on this path and he just watched, a smile so easy to form on his lips and perhaps the first time he had smiled ever since she had taken over.
He emerged from the water and the two embraced. He did not have much time though, so told him. Told him of all that had happened and was happening. He could see it in the other's face. The shock, the horror, the confusion, especially when he made mention of the queen. Not the tyrant queen but the true queen of Camelot. It was then that he walked backwards, into the water from which the other just emerged. What was he doing, the other demanded to know. The last part of the tale, that everything . . . came at a cost. But just as he was to be submerged in the water, he felt arms pull him back, as if trying to rescue him. Didn't he know?! His presence would save them all. His death would not be done in vain. And so, he told him . . . "You have to let me go, Sire." But he wouldn't. Arthur refused to let his brother of heart go. He refused to let another die so that he could live.
"I find no greater honor, than giving my life for yours. Do not let it be done in vain." Arthur could feel his eyes moisten with tears, of watching the ultimate sacrifice his friend was making. He felt Leon's hands start to pull his away. A smile was upon Leon's lips. No fear. No regret. Only . . . confidence. Certainty. And, a flicker of joy. "Long live Camelot." Arthur could feel his heart ache as a tear rolled down his cheek. "Long live the King." And with those words, he watched Leon submerge himself into the water . . . never to arise. Arthur just stood there, trying to process everything that had happened. No. He would not let this be done in vain. He would save Guinevère. He would save Camelot.

Guinevère, wife and mother. These were things she had always known she would one day be; yet only one of the titles gave her any joy. Wife. She hated the title, but was unable to escape it. She'd worn it for years now. Almost four years now. Before then she had been wife to another, to one she loved. To one that was killed.
Guinevère, who 4 years ago was wife to King Arthur, had everything she ever wanted. A loving husband, loyal friends, and unbeknownst to her or her husband a baby on the way. Only, war came and Arthur died at the hands of Mordred, one of the men he had trained. After his fall, Morgana's forces had come for the city, and within a month the city fell. Morgana had given her away to her partner in crime, Helios. Widowed of less then a month, Guinevère was forced to marry the man. Knowing she was carrying Arthur's child and that Helios would kill the babe if he learned, she did what she had to to make sure Helios would thing the babe was his.
In the early days it had sickened her, but over the years she had come to be known as his cold distant wife. Helios hardly ever came to see her any longer. She knew the only reason he tolerated her was the child he loved--that he didn't know was not his. It was the son of Arthur Pendragon . The lie she had to let happen, in order to keep her son alive.
Guinevère walked down tot he courtyard of the large estate that she stayed in, only to stop cold. Helios stood there with her son in his arms, walking around and talking to a low tone to the boy. Walking slowly closer, Helios looked up at her, in a look that was anything but warm. 'One day soon, my son, you will be old enough to go with me and not stay here attached to your mother.' Helios promised the child, and Guinevère took a deep shaken breath. "That day is not yet here," she counted, trying to keep her tone light. "When did you arrive?" 'Only just. I missed my son, and came to spend a few days with him.' Guinevère noticed more men behind him, new faces. Helios looked behind him and then back at her. 'For your protection,' he explained, 'your knight friend disappeared again.' "Perhaps he will be seen again," she said, her tone forcing it's self to sound empathetic. "For your sake, it better not be here." A threat he often made, even though she had not seen Leon for 4 years, and had not attempted an escape attempt in over 2 years. His men made sure she stayed here, and her son too. "I should take him to be fed," She offered, but Helios moved away from her and smiled at her son--Arthur's unknown son. 'I will take him.' Guinevère watched him walk away, and worse, Amaren looked glad to see the man he thought to be his father. I'm so sorry, she thought to them both, I'm so so sorry.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur wasn't sure how long he was sitting there for, trying to process everything that Leon had told him in such a long time. Morgana had taken over Camelot. Guinevère was forced to marry Helios. And . . . he had a son. Amaren. It hurt. To learn what Guinevère had to endure. To know that . . . Helios had, touched her. It was with this thought that Arthur finally arose from his position. He had been angry at Morgana before for the attempts she made on Guinevère. But this time . . . this time, he felt such a strong hatred for his half sister. A hatred stronger than he'd ever felt for her before. There had been lines Morgana had crossed but this was not one he would ever forgive her for. He truly, hated her. And he was going to make her pay.
But first, it would be Helios that felt his anger. His rage. Years of being a prince and later a king, had taught Arthur to keep his emotions composed. To control them and not let them control him. But in this moment, he felt as if he may unravel. The loss of a friend, and the thoughts of his wife and son . . . and saving the kingdom. These were all things that he was attempting to process, but remaining here, idle and confused would not serve any purpose. It would not do any good. Besides, the longer he was here, the longer . . . she was with him. So Arthur started his journey, using the horse Leon left for him. Leon. A man who would never be forgotten. He rode on to where Leon told him Helios would be, dismounting the horse far enough so that he would not be detected. Leon had told him that he had sent word to Gwaine and Percival to meet him. So Arthur continued to follow instruction, and sure enough, the men were were Leon said they would be -- not that Arthur ever doubted him. The look on Percival and Gwaine's face was of pure shock, surprised that Leon's words were true. That the true king of Camelot had returned.
They embraced, as Arthur explained what happened to Leon. Both men were of course saddened by the news, but they would mourn for him once time was not in short supply. Arthur needed to see her. They gave Arthur the garb of one of Helios' men -- fortune, that they concealed the lower part of their faces. Getting dressed, he followed Gwaine and Percival casually enough into the estate. Arthur took in the sights of it, but he was only half focusing on all the possible escape routes. The only thing he could think of . . . was Guinevère. And their son. "We are to see Lady Guinevère," Gwaine told Helios' men. He eyed the third man before looking back at Gwaine. Arthur was ready to run him through but somehow, managed to keep himself level headed. "What? We were told to bring recruits. Are you questioning Lord Helio's orders?" Ones that were a constant to find able bodied man to join his ever growing army.

Guinevère stood at her window, watching below as Helios held her son tightly, as he rode him around the courtyard, helping the young child learn to move with the horse. She thought of how Arthur had once said that Uther had given him a sword far too young, and she had so far refused to allow Amaren to hold one. Helios had grated that so far, but she knew she could not put him off forever. His words hunted her. Amaren would one day want to go wit Helios. This plan should not have last this long. She could no longer wait for Leon. "We are to see Lady Guinevère," As if summoned by her thoughts, she heard Gwaine's voice. Yet she could not look away from Helios and Aamren. Whenever Helios came, she felt a fear he would leave with Amaren--the one small favor she had was that Helios honestly loved Amaren, and as long as he believed the boy to be his would let no harm come to him. "What? We were told to bring recruits. Are you questioning Lord Helios' orders?" He wasn't alone.
Recruits. Most likely ones meant to watch her. Unless it was another knights they'd smuggled in. She stood there as the men came in, and didn't speak as they shut the door. "Gwen," Percival's voice called her name in a low voice, and she knew that he was trying to tell her they needed to speak, and quickly but sh still didn't turn to look at them. She heard her son squeal with delight as they moved faster. "He is going to take Amaren." She told them, knowing if Percival called her Gwen then it was safe to talk. "He comes more, and leaves more men. He is growing ready to take him from me." They needed a plan. Turning to look at them, her mouth moved to speak but at the sight of the other man, with the half covered face she paused--not because she didn't know him and she didn't trust the stranger . . . . but because of the blue of his eyes.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT If the man questioning them didn't step aside, Arthur knew he was going to run him through. He was not in control of his emotions. He was not in control of himself. The knowledge of all that had happened was too much to bare and . . . he was going to make those responsible for all the wrong doings, pay. But eventually, the man stepped aside and they were in Guinevère's room. Arthur froze, just staring at her. Watching her. He could feel Gwaine's hand reach out to stop him from taking those steps forward when even he could hear the laughter of a child in the distance. Amaren. Arthur's son. Not Helios'.
It was her words that made that anger surge through Arthur, running through his veins. Under the cloth he clenched his jaw, his hand not having released its grip on the hilt of his sword from where he thought he'd kill the man that stood between him and his wife. Yet now, hearing her fear Helios taking their son . . . no. It was too much. But still, Gwaine silently told him to wait through his actions rather than words. Guinevère then turned around, locking eyes with him and . . . he could see her expression.
"Guinevère," Arthur began to say as he pulled the cloth down that concealed the lower portion of his face. He took a step forward, and then two, determination in his gaze mixed with a softness that he always held whenever he saw his wife. HIS wife. "I will not let that happen." He would never let Helios take Amaren away from Guinevère and he wanted to make sure she knew it. Somewhere in the background, he belatedly heard one of them say "Leon's plan" but Arthur was too fixed on Guinevère and thoughts of Amaren to give any explanation as to how he was here. For, he knew why he was here and that was all that mattered right now.

Guinevère He said her name. She stared at him, her eyes growing wide, and her lips parted. HE said HER name like HE always had. Since Eldor. Since the beginning of them. Her back touched the cool stone, and she hadn't even realized she'd taken a step back . . . or more likely nearly fell back. He promised not to let it happened, and Guinevère still could only stare at him. Her hand rested over her belly as she tried to stop the churning there--was she seeing things?
Leon's plan! Gwaine not being funny. Percival standing by him. HE WAS REAL! Guinevère's face twisted as she began crying, and she pushed from the wall to walk toward him. Her arms wrapped around his neck, and she gasped as how warm he was--not because he was hot but because he was warm! REAL and warm and not something she'd dreamed up in her fear. 'We will give you two a moment," 'We don't have time,' "We can give them a moment." They moved away, but didn't leave the room.
Guinevère buried her face into HIS chest, and finally breathed his name "Arthur?" She asked, looking up at him. Her hands touching his cheeks, "Are you real?" She asked him, so afraid that he would not be. Yet also afraid he was. Everything was changed, and she had to do things that betrayed him in order to keep her son--their son alive.
Arthur was back! . . . . and she was married to another . . . Who even right now held the child he thought to be his and loved in his deadly arms . . .

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur watched as she stared at him. He wanted to go up to her but knew, that she needed a moment. To him, no time had passed. But to them . . . it had been four years. When she approached him, his arms were ready, welcoming her, holding her close to him as he closed his eyes. Amidst all his anger, she always had the power to calm him. To give him strength and comfort whether he needed it in that exact moment or not. He felt her tears and wanted to wipe them away. He wanted to make everything better . . . somehow. And he would. He would kill Helios and he would save her from this life. He drew his head back, his lips touching hers, uncaring if the others were watching. It was after all, the best way he could prove it was him.
He kissed her, in a slow, but emotion driven embrace, as if he needed her touch to remind him that there was still good in this hell he had resurrected into. Easing out it he pressed his forehead against hers. "I'm sorry," he breathed. "I"m so sorry." For leaving her. For letting this happen. It had after all, been Morgana's anger at him and his father that fuelled her actions. Yet, Guinevère had paid the prince. "I need to see him." The words practically a desperate plea, somewhere in the back of his mind acknowledging that he knew this may not be possible. Arthur's heart ached at the thought of all he had missed. They had a son and he had not been there as it grew in her womb. He had not held him as he was born into this world. Instead, another man claimed him . . . and claimed his wife. "Please," he added, jaw clenching with emotion as his words were urging. He needed to see Amaren.

Arthur kissed her! And all doubts that he wasn't real or wasn't her husband, or that this was some sort of trick disappeared. She knew that kiss. She loved that man who kissed her like he did. "Arthur," she breathed his name when he broke the kiss. "I'm sorry, I"m so sorry." The old Guinevère was have soothed him, and told him this wasn't his fault, and she knew that it wasn't. Yet she was still trying to sort out his arrival. "This was Morgana," she told him, not him.
"I need to see him." Amaren. Their son. THEIR son. "Please," Their son. Who Helios would not let go of until he left. "I didn't know," she told him, "When you left I didn't know I was with child." Or she would have told him. She would have made sure he knew! But this wasn't what he asked of her, she was stalling because she knew that she couldn't let Arthur seen Amaren just yet. She wanted too, more then anything, but she had to protect Aamren, and while Helios was alive he needed to believe that it was his son.
If he found out, she feared what might happen to him. "Hel--Helios thinks that Amaren is his," she whispered, shamed to admit it for dualing reasons. One, because she had failed in raising Arthur's son to know he was Arthur's son and protect him. The other was because that meant Helios had a reason to think she had given birth to his son. She'd been with another. "He l--He loves him, and will not let our son from his side while he is here."

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur had assumed as much. He knew his wife, and knew she would not keep this from him had she known at a time where she could tell him. They had tried for over 3 years to have a child and . . . to think, it had come into this world when he was not here and she forced to be with another. "I know," he told her in reassurance. He knew that much but also knew that there was more to her words. When she spoke of how Helios thought the child to be his, Arthur knew the implications of these words. He closed his eyes and turned his head to the side. Not out of shame, but out of anger. Perhaps, the most being at himself for failing her.
For not being here to stop this. For cursing a sister who dared let this happen to Guinevère. And now, to hear that Helios would not let go of his son. That he loved him. "He is my son," Arthur stated, looking at Guinevère once more. Though, he knew that he had done nothing to earn the title. Perhaps he didn't even deserve a son after what he had let happen to Guinevère and Amaren.
"He has no right." Arthur could feel the anger surfacing once more. The thought of Helios believing it was his . . . the thought of Helios touching Guinevère . . . it was as if Percival could sense it for her heard the man say his name. "Arthur." He could even feel Percival take a small step towards them. Arthur looked intently at Guinevère, his wife. HIS wife. "Helios will pay for this," Arthur told her in promise. "I will, make him pay for this." For forcing her. For touching her. For . . . claiming their son.

He looked away from her when she told him, and she felt even more shame from what she'd had to do. Arthur couldn't even look at her right now. Guinevère looked at the ground, summoning her courage, before looking back up at him. Arthur reminded her that Amaren was his son, and she nodded; "No one can know." She told him, her voice cracking with sad emotions "Helios' love for him is what has kept him alive. If Helios knew the truth . . . . if Morgana knew the truth . . . " She didn't know if Helios would still love and protect Amaren, but she knew Morgana wouldn't give him that chance.
Until Morgana was dead, Amaren could not be known as Arthur's son. She'd lived in Morgana's wrath for 4 years now. Gifted to a warlord, and kept here under tight lock, with his men crawling everywhere spying on her, and keeping her from leaving. She could not run, they did not have enough men to fight, and Helios had her son . . . and she would not leave him behind.
Which made her next words even harder, "Amaren thinks Helios' is his father." If Arthur killed him, that would be Amaren's first memory of his true father. She looked at Percival and Gwaine, before looking at Arthur. "Helios will never let me go," If Arthur wanted to fight Helios, he would need to go find men. Which meant he needed to leave her here.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur felt his heart ache and ache the more she spoke. Not being able to tell anyone. Amaren thinking that Helios was his father. Helios not letting Guinevère go. It was all too much. Morgana had taken everything from him, when they had given everything to her. And now Helios had . . . no. It was all too much to bare. "He is my son." His. Not Helios. Amaren was the product of Guinevère and Arthur's love. And Arthur wanted to -- needed to -- see him. He could feel Percival's hand on his arm and he jerked it away before moving a few steps back. "Leon did not die for this!" More anger, at the loss of a friend. A man who sacrificed himself, because Morgana had destroyed everything. Had destroyed everyone that Arthur held dear.
"I will kill him where he stands and put an end to this." His words calmer, yet unnervingly angry at what Helios had done to Guinevère and Amaren. Looking at Guinevère, thinking of her words . . . of Helios believing the son was his . . . Arthur could not get the thoughts out of his mind. "I will kill him." Words too calm, holding an underlying tone of anger and determination. "We need to go." Because time was limited and Arthur's anger was about to push him to do something irrational. The last time he had felt such, was when Morgause created an illusion of his mother and he confronted the king about it. "I need to see him," Arthur pleaded again. More desperate. The threat of tears upon his eyes yet they did not spill. He felt Percival take his arm again, this time, urging him back. He needed to see his son. He needed . . . he just needed his family.

"Leon is dead?!" Guinevère gasps, as she watched Arthur's anger. Yet Anger did her no good here, and she knew it came from the fact he was hurting. She wished she could spare him this--the man she loved. The only man she loved! Walking over she put her hand over Percival's, and he let Arthur go, but stayed near. "I love you. I've always loved you even when he--" When he touched her. "Believe that," she didn't want him to doubt it. "I'm sorry!"
"You are out numbered here, and they know you're face. If you are caught they will kill you, and I cannot bare to morn you twice. You need to go, Arthur." Until they could find a way to be together! Until they could defeat Helios without Amaren seeing his father kill the man he loved as a father. 'We've tried for years to smuggle her or Amaren out, Arthur, they are both watched by too many and his men are everyone.' Gwaine tried to reason with Arthur, for one there was no humor.
Guinevère lifted her hands and framed his face so she could kiss him once last time. This wasn't a fight that Arthur could win. If Leon had lived and found an army they might have stood a chance, but for now; they had nothing. "Wife!" Guinevère looked away from Arthur, unable to look at him while Helios was calling up to her window. "You need to leave . . . before he comes up here." The words hurt to say, for they told too much; yet Helios still though her to be his wife, even if she made it clear she wanted nothing to do with his bed. She still came to see her. She'd not slept with him in two years now. Not since that last attempt, and his anger that day. "Wife! Come down here!" "Momma! Look!" Amaren! Arthur was hearing his voice; and unable to see his face. She stared at Arthur, begging him to live! TO go and live so that she had some hope! "I'm sorry!"

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Guinevere was assuring him she loved him; apologizing. Arthur said nothing not because he didn't believe her, but because he knew that this was the damage his family had caused. That falling in love with Guinevère, had put her in this position. Had made her feel Morgana's wrath and in his death, he could no longer protect her. Well, now he was determined to change that. He was not going to waste a moment. She told him he was outnumbered yet his mind did not care. All he wanted was to see his son and kill the man who had claimed his family. Who had trapped them in such a way. He felt the anger continuing to build within him, unable to just . . . walk away. Even Gwaine attempted to convince him by saying they'd try to smuggle her out.
But silence followed his words for Arthur could not find the right ones to say. It wasn't until he heard Helios' demanding voice that Arthur began to pull the sword from it's sheath, only stopping midway when he heard Amaren's voice follow. An unfamiliar feeling washed over him . . . one that he assumed came with being a father, even though technically, he had not known the feeling at all. But to hear his son's voice. To hear him call for his mother. Arthur could feel his heart breaking. He longed to see him. To hold him. To . . . be a father to him.
He was about to pull out the rest of the sword when he felt Percival's hand on his wrist to stop him. "He is not his son," Arthur stated as if to explain his anger towards Helios. "And I will kill him for what he's done." The more he heard his voice . . . the more he was ready to go down and charge at him. Percival looked at Arthur, as if trying to reason that his was not the way. Yet he only needed to speak the words that followed.
"Do not let Leon's death be in vain." Those exact words had been what Leon said to him as he died. Arthur felt his body tremble with conflict. He knew that Leon did not die for Arthur to exact revenge. He had died so that Arthur could help restore the kingdom and save his family in the process. Putting his sword back into it's sheath, Arthur looked at Guinevère once more. "I will end this," he told her, strong determination in his voice. He was going to put an end to all of this.
And . . . he was going to kill Morgana for what she had done. "We need to go. Now!" Arthur moved forward to give Guinevère one last emotionally driven kiss, as if a silent promise that he would return and free her and Amaren from this place. Pulling out of the embrace, he whispered "I love you" before covering his face once more and following Gwaine and Percival out the doors.

Arthur pulled his sword out, and Guinevère too, moved her hand to stop him. "Your blood does nothing to help your son now! For Amaren, Arthur, you need to live! If you want to save him you need to go!" She reminded him, knowing he couldn't do this! Arthur was the greatest swordsman and military mind of his time--yet even he could take on an army with only 3 men. "Please! I need to know you live! I cannot be brave if you die again!" She begged him, and something in him seemed to believe her, or perhaps it was knowing that his son was down there now; for he kissed her--and the kiss made her heart swell! He kissed her and loved her! "I love you," she whispered, crying now, once again. "I love you," she told him again, and again as they helped pull Arthur out. "Arthur! I love you!" She stood there watching his face--his beloved face--until they were out of sight. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"
Guinevère forced herself to stand and walk out of her room, knowing if she stalled Helios would come looking for her. She dried her face as best as she could and walked into the courtyard. "Amaren," she said with a smile, looking at Arthur's son with new eyes. "Amaren come to your mother," holding out her arms he ran over. Lifting him into her arms, she asked him. "What did you want to show me?" 'This is my horse now!' He told his mother proudly, pointing to the massive beast.
A horse meant he was beginning to ready Amaren to begin traveling with him. Guinevère looked over at Helios, the man who was not her husband--for her husband lived and this marriage was invalid. 'You look upset, wife,' he said, walking toward her. Guinevère hugged her son tighter, "What will you name him?" She asked her son, ignoring Helios even though she knew it would anger him. 'Ummmm,' Amaren was thinking, but his words were cut off as Helios moved forward to grab her arm and pull her roughly toward him. "I spoke to you. I said you looked upset."
Amaren loved Helios, but he grew still and looked fightened by this. It wasn't the first time he had seen Helios do such a thing. She had to give him a reason for her eyes to be red, and her heart to be broken. "I am married to a warlord who wants my son to be the same . . . why would I not cry?" Helios narrowed his eyes, 'No, you've had years to know that.' his hand tightened on her arm, and she gave him more--Helios knew there was some men loyal to her, and knew she someone spoke to them. It was why he always switched the men out here, and always kept heavy numbers in this place. The small army kept her from being able to go into any room but her own and be alone. There was no escape. "Sir Leon is dead," she gave him, knowing that it would please him. Tears fell over her cheeks when she admitted it. Helios grinned and let her go. 'And there goes you great hope.'
No, there was another. A greater hope then ever before. Yet Guinevère only turned to walk away. 'No, my son stays with me.' he told her, walking over to take the still quite and frightened Amaren from her, and kissing his hair--and her skin crawled knowing that Arthur was alive and should be the one doing this. 'We still name to name that horse my son!' Guinevère could only stand there while he watched Helios take her son and walk back to the horse. Amaren looked back at her, and she forced a smile on her lips, even while there was still tears on her cheeks.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur had not wanted to leave. He wanted to stay. He needed to get Guinevère and Amaren out of this place . . . but there was no choice right now. He told Gwaine and Percival that he would come in five days times with an army. And gave them the location of where to meet him. The two men nodded, wishing him luck as they embraced before departing. There was some comfort found in the two men being there to keep an eye on Guinevère . . . but that still did not aid the fact that his son was being raised by another man. A cruel one. And that Guinevère had the title of his wife. No. He needed to put an end to this madness.
Part of him wanted to go to the city to confront -- and kill -- Morgana. But he knew that was unwise. He thought of what Percival and Guinevère had said to him. He would not let Helios win by dying again. He save his family from the warlord's clutches and to do so . . . he needed an army. Arthur had to be incredibly careful about how he went about this. Leon had given him some aid in explaining who was loyal yet forced to serve the crown. Leon had told those men to meet him in two days time at a designated location. It seemed, Leon had planned things out . . . and it just made Arthur miss his brother of heart even more. And mourn his death. This was what he had been planning for the years Arthur was dead. For soon enough, a group of men came where Leon had told him they would be. Only, instead of being met by Leon, they saw their once king.
Shock burst throughout the crowd as Arthur explained as concisely as he would what had happened. He asked the men if there were any others, and they explained that some had fled the city and some were still trapped within the castle, feigning loyalty to a false queen. Arthur sent men out to where the others were scattered throughout the kingdom -- knowing he could not go yet as he couldn't risk discovery. His patience however, was thin. For each moment that passed, was another moment his wife and son were with another man. It was killing him, and whatever rationality he had left that was keeping him focused on the strategic plan . . . was starting to fade in favour of his growing rage.

The moment he walked in the room, Guinevère knew that he was in an ill mood. 5 days had past, and he's only grown angrier. Guinevère stayed in her chair, as she wanted him stride into the room, anger rolling off each step. 'There she is, the loyal wife!' Helios barked out, and Guinevère froze. Did he know about Arthur? "I have no idea what you mean," she said carefully, watching as he moved to lean over the chair, standing over her. 'You know damn well what you've done.' He told her, grabbing her arm and pulling her to stand before him. 'You think it will matter when it's done?' What did he know?! Guinevère would admit to nothing until he told her what he was talking about; knowing if she admitted to something he did not know the trouble would be ten fold--something she learned under Uther's rule. "Helios, I know not of what you speak!" She raised her voice to try to make him hear her over his rage.
His gripped tightened and he spun her, pushing her to the ground so he stood over her, with her on her knees there. 'I will not let you poison my son against me. He has named his horse after a certain brave hero in bed time stories . . . . ones his mother tells him every night! You wish to make him love a dead man? You seek to use this to make him see me as mean? I have yet to give you a reason to see me mean!' Guinevère looked up at him, "Did you expect me to tell him stories of you? Going town to town to steal lives and women, and take your pleasure in death and their pain? I will not let my son turn into you!" 'MY SON! I GAVE HIM TO YOU! I AM HIS FATHER! YOUR HUSBAND! He is MINE!' He yelled at her, 'and not yours any longer. I leave in 3 days, and he goes with me!' "NO! Please! No! Helios! Please!" Guinevère said, moving forward, and pushing to stand! NOT HER SON! 'Now she learns to speak to me! Too late, my dear. Say your goodbyes. And be warry of your words! After your death, I will tell him no stories of you!' "Helios!" He turned to storm out, and Guinevère stood there frozen in fear before she turned to run and find her son--and then Percival or Gwaine!

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT The day was soon upon them. Arthur would be going in to Helios' estate to free those he held prisoner in just a matter of days. The army continued to build, and they would have more numbers to over power Helios and his men. They had only one chance to do this, so they needed to do it right. Before he had left, Arthur had told Gwaine and Percival to meet him in the allotted spot. When they came, Arthur could immediately tell something was wrong. They explained that Helios was planning to take Amaren in a few days time and . . . it would be too late. Arthur needed more time than that, but it seemed time was not something they had the luxury of. Which meant, they would need an advantage. He needed a way in; to attack from the inside and then make their way out. They had some numbers but could not wait for the others to join them. The risk was too great.
He dressed in the same clothing he had previously and told Gwaine and Percival to take him to Guinevère. They had to approach cautiously, carefully. While Arthur had taken in the surroundings before, this time, he took in every single detail. Determining weak spots, less guarded corners, points of entry they could use. The plan was formulating in his mind and once they were inside, Arthur then focused on the interior. Once they arrived at the door, Percival knocked on it a couple of times before stepping inside and eyeing around to make sure Guinevère was alone. Arthur followed him in, before the door was closed behind them and Gwaine and Percival kept watch. "Guinevère," he greeted, pulling the cloth down as he approached her. Looking around, he didn't see Amaren, and he knew he only had a few moments to explain. But still, he just . . . needed a moment to look over her. To make sure she was alright -- as alright as could be under such circumstances.

Guinevère was not going to let her son out of her sight, but when Gwaine promised to keep and eye on him, and told her to go to her room she did. She knew what it meant; Arthur was coming. They didn't have to say the words to let her know. She paced her room, her hands twisting around each other until they hurt. Until finally, there was a knock! Pausing she stood there until Arthur enter; and then she ran forward, "Arthur!" Wrapping her arms around him and holding tightly!
Percival said he would stand out by the door, to make sure they were undisturbed. Pulling back she kissed him, not going to miss this moment with him, knowing she had to also use this time wisely to make a plan with him. Breaking he kiss, she kept her face close him, "Helios plans to take Amaren with him when he leave," She told him, looking up at him with fear in her eyes. "I fear if he does there will be too big of an army to ever get too him." She didn't know if they could escape with so many people here, however, she had tried before, with Percival and Gwaine, and it never worked!

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur wrapped his arms around her, returning the kiss. Letting the warmth of her touch soak within him. With all the anger he had been feeling, this was perhaps the only thing that gave him a sense of calm. When she eased out of it, she told him that Helios was planning to take their son. "I know," he told her quietly. "We have an army outside, but in light of this news, have pushed the attack to tonight."
Meaning, the army was not as big as he hoped it would be. "You must get Amaren. Gwaine and Percival will get you out while we distract Helios' men from the front. Our forces will divide and we will infiltrate the estate from the back entrance." It was as best of a plan as they had. Besides, the men were trained combatants, unlike Helios'. Surely, they stood a chance . . . so long as they had the element of surprise. "Where is he?" Arthur asked, referring to their son, hoping he was safe.

Guinevère kept her hands on her husband (HER REAL HUSBAND) while he pulled back and explained to her what was happening. What she needed to do. Her heart beat so hard, and she feared this might not work--not because of her lack of faith in her husband but because these plans had failed one too many times. After the last time, two years ago, she'd never dared to try again! Not after what he'd done.
"Amaren is with Gwaine, but I know Helios is watching closely. He knows I will try something, since he is taking him." She explained, "He thinks that Amaren is his, and will die for him. I do not think he will let our son out of his sight." She knew they had to try, but she also knew Helios--she'd been 'his' for 4 years now. She knew how controlling he was over his men, her and her son. He was violent and ruthless to anyone who tried to disobey him. She'd once see his charms, but he no longer used them on her. He knew she loved another.
