.:Name of Character:. Azura Emmery D'Andreci. .:Nick Name:. Zura, Azure. .:Age:. Sixteen. .:Status:. Nomad, illegitimate noble.
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Azura is your typical, attractive young woman. She is full-grown and fully developed, despite her young age, with brown hair that is more wavy and curly and reaches her mid-back. She's just below average height, not enough to really affect anything, with a slim build and a narrow frame. Her face is constantly alight with whatever emotion she's feeling, questions abuzz in her eyes at any given interval. .:Height:. 5' 4" .:Portrayed by:. Sophia Bush.

.:Personality:. Trying to pin Azura's exact personality would be an extremely difficult thing to do. On the one hand, she is every bit the innocent, sweet sixteen-year-old. She's bubbly, horribly clumsy, sweet, and trusting of any and all she comes across. Her curiosity knows no bounds, and she's been known to irritate those of short temper in her company with her endless questions and observations. Her charm is that of a small-child that you can't help but smile at, but those with little patience would not be able to stand her presence for very long at all.
On the other hand, Azura is oddly in-tune with what's going on around her. Though she was sheltered in the sense that she's had bodyguards around her all her life, she's no stranger to destruction, and despite her curiosity or perhaps because of it, she possesses a devilishly quick wit and the intelligence to back it up. She is also perfectly aware of her attractiveness and when needed, uses it to her benefit, if only to play around and experiment - another result of that same aching desire to know everything, to figure everyone out.
.:Strengths:. Quick wit, physical attractiveness, young age, youthful personality. .:Weaknesses:. Inability to be emotionally detached, physically inept, .:Magic Abilities:. She's a druid - but a very weak one. .:Special Skills:. None, really. .:Accents:. Old English.

.:Birthplace:. D'Andreci estate, Camelot. .:Family:. Richard D'Andreci - (illegitimate) father, nobleman. Cerylia Sidhe - mother, Sidhe banished to human form - deceased. Catherine D'Andreci - half-sister, unaware of Azura's existence. Maria D'Andreci - half-sister, unaware of Azura's existence. Theresa D'Andreci - half-sister, unaware of Azura's existence. Gale D'Andreci - half-brother, unaware of Azura's existence. .:Occupation:. None. .:Current Location of Residence:. None; nomadic. .:History:. Azura's birth was not the typical one, namely because of her heritage. Her mother, Cerylia, was a mystery altogether - in fact, all she knows is her name and that she looks like her; if her father knows anything further, he isn't telling. He himself was a nobleman who already had a family of his own but gave into the temptation of the dark-haired, dark-eyed beauty. Whether her parents ever loved each other will remain unclear forever; her mothe died in childbirth.
One thing to be made painstakingly clear was that Richard D'Andreci did love his new daughter, despite the fact that she was illegitimate and the presence of his wife and other four children. He loved her enough to give her his name and put her in the family tree without the knowledge of his spouse, in fact, though she remains illegitimate even so. For obvious reasons, he could not bring her to live with him and could not spend enough time away from his family to raise her completely on his own. His solution was to assign her bodyguards - five, to be exact; four males and a single female - within a week of her birth. From then on, he visited her consistently twice or so a week, and more often when he could spare it, at the small cottage she and those caring for her lived in.
As the clumsy child began to speak and walk, it became immediately clear to him that of all his children, she was his favorite. Her half-siblings were not allowed to know about her, but he proudly told her stories of them and once or twice even brought her to see them from afar. To her disappointment, her tall, blond-haired and blue-eyed brother and sisters did not resemble her in the slightest, but that didn't stop her from watching them in fascination. The older she grew, the more money Richard poured into her funds for being raised, to the point where she was and remains even now much wealthier than his four legitimate children put together.
She was twelve years old when her father told her she must leave the cottage. His wife had followed him once and though she had not spotted the young girl, who had been sleeping at the time, Richard was positive she would visit again. Ever adventurous, Azura rejected his offer to relocate her to a new home, and instead insisted that she become nomadic. That's not to say she wandered aimlessly anywhere she chose, exactly - there are a series of cottages and camp sites that she owns and moved between, constantly abandoning some and creating others. Though she was always weak, a trait she inherited from the maternal side of her family, she adjusted extremely well to such a life and her bodyguards more than made up for her physical inabilities.
It has been four years since that time, and even now she continues that lifestyle. Despite Richard's protest, she cut her bodyguards down to two, and she and her father still meet at least once a week at a designated place, at which point he never fails to shower her with currency, gifts, and plenty of affection. She is well aware by now that she is a druid and goes to great lengths to control herself and avoid using any of her magic, though this proves incredibly difficult because she has absolutely no hold on her emotions; whatever she's feeling or thinking shines through loud and clear on her face and in her body language. Thankfully, her abilities are extremely weak, and she has learned only the basic knowledge of the Old Religion and its spells. She is also aware, as are her bodyguards, that her mother was some sort of magical being, but that knowledge is kept a secret at all costs.
