::vaughn:: The fact that she agreed only made it most amusing to him. While Vaughn seldom kept ties to other, Alegra was someone that he could see himself meeting rather frequently. There was no dire need for the money he was extorting from her. It was more so the demonstration of power and control. And the fact that she was unlike many other noblewoman. Indeed, if she was more meek, vain and timid as the others, then his interest in her would not had lasted this long. Lucky for him, and unfortunately for her, this was not the case. "What is the matter?" He asked rhetorically as he was fully aware that from her perspective, it was not a good thing that he had conned her mother into liking him so.
"I thought it would make you happy that your mother gets along rather well with your suitor," he said with false innocence. He was more so gloating above all else, for he was still successfully blackmailing her, and while he would never take it so far as to actually marry her, it was fun to build it up. Besides, gossip and rumors were never scarce inside the social circle of nobility.

::vaughn:: This entirely scene was so utterly ridiculous that it was on the verge of entertaining. The stupidity of men, resorting to such spectacles if only to claim the attention of a young woman. She was undeniably beautiful, but no human being was worth it. Everyone was the same. And yet, even with this assurance in mind, something stood out about her. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that she looked so out of place in this tavern. Either way, she had caught Vaughn's interest, and he had taken advantage of such a thing by being a catalyst for a bar fight, which was progressing rather nicely. Most other men were stating to get involved, throwing mugs, chairs, even tables at one another. And all Vaughn did was sit there. Nonchalantly. Sipping his drink.
She looked at him with such intensity and yet, he continued to smirk. He even winked at her, having no objection to her discovering that he was in fact the person who had started this brawl. The bartender was clearly trying to simmer things down but the men were all so heated at this point that it would take more than a single person to stop the fight involving several inebriated men. He kept his gaze locked on her though, watching her every move intently. If she left, he would follow. Right now she seemed to be taking a step back from all of this, sharing his own recognition at how ridiculous it was. With slurred shouts of I saw her first! or Stay away from her! being thrown about, it was truly a wonder how she managed to remain composure.

::vaughn:: Did she just agree to a good night's kiss? Surely it would not be that easy to extract such intimacy from her. When she began to move forward, Vaughn just looked at her, the anticipation within him as it would be present in any man who was about to be kissed by a beautiful woman. Though she seemed to have deviated from the more, traditional approach and instead bit down on his neck instead. He could not say he was disappointed for the unexpected act still had an arousing affect. His chuckle deepened when she pulled away, curious as to how she possibly thought he would be able to sleep after doing such a thing.
He continued to look at her, only turning his neck while the rest of his body remained firmly in place. It had been quite some time since he had lay on the luxurious comfort of a bed, and while he did not miss it from his home, it was undeniably a great feeling. Despite this, he was rather awake after her little nibble though something told him she was drifting off. While there was a lot he did not comprehend about people, he really could not understand how she so easily slept next to a stranger who was blackmailing her and had proven he was clearly not to be trusted. Did she truly think he would not take advantage of her? He turned his head once again so that he was staring straight up at the ceiling. Unsure if she was fully asleep or not, he spoke anyway, just for the hell of it. "Who knew the daughter of a nobleman would like it so feisty." ]

::vaughn:: Vaughn could not help but chuckle at her words and actions. "You should not tempt men with such dangerous words," he warned her, though he cared not for her past or future encounters with other men. It was not a warning, merely a statement. For there were men out there who's minds would not be able to withhold them from giving in to such temptation, whether she complied to it or not. It was only lucky for her that Vaughn was no such man. Of course, that did not mean he would not keep up in his attempt to annoy her, or rather, find humor in this entire situation for himself. "If you do not see me as a guard, then what if I was a rapist." The word had come from his lips so smoothly and casually, holding almost a threatening air to it.
When she began to lightly kiss his hand, his expression continued to remain in a smirk. Oh how utterly entertaining this woman was. How easy it seemed to be for her to offer herself to him. Clearly, this was not her first time. He raised his other hand, cupping her chin as he slightly tilted her head upwards, as if inspecting her face. Once his gaze trailed over every facial feature, his eyes began to trail down her body and back up to to meet her eyes. He leaned in, as if to kiss her and paused when their lips were only inches apart. "Do you consent then." He asked in a deep voice, not caring about the answer, for he hardly cared about the action. All he wanted to see was how far she would go.

::vaughn:: A tavern was not an unusual place to find Vaughn at. With that being said, every time he was in one was an opportunity to witness first hand the everlasting stupidity of the human race and just how idiotic drunk men could be. Vaughn was not a people person but provoking them, calculating their reactions to certain situations, was something, the only thing really, that he did on a daily basis. Life offered no other forms of amusement so he had to create his own.
It had not been too long since he entered when someone else made an even grander entrance. A woman. Not just any woman though. One that caused the attention of every single man present in there. She was not a typical bar maid or wench that drunk men engaged in intoxicated flirtations with. She was something very different. And she stuck out in a place like this far too much for her own good. Was Vaughn concerned about that? Not at all. But his curiosity was raised and the dumbfounded reaction of the other men was just far too amusing for him to ignore.
Murmurs began to fill the room, the silence only having lasted a short time. That did not mean the men were still not distracted by her. Vaughn glanced around, noticing every man's eyes rested on her. A smirk crept onto his lips as he forced his gaze to rest on her as well, and leaned over ever so slightly to talk to the man next to him, on his left. "Such a creature of beauty, is she not." Vaughn commented. The man slurred some words of agreement. "I should go speak to her. Buy her a drink." Vaughn had no intention of doing that, but he said such words, predicting the reaction of the man. Men saw such things as a competition. And his reaction was dead on perfect. The drunken man glared at him and quickly got out of his seat, stumbling over to the alluring woman.
Vaughn watched him with amusement, and leaned towards the man at his other side, towards the right. "He seems to be the most brave one of us all. And it appears he will be rewarded by her for such courage." Vaughn had to suppress a chuckle at how utterly ridiculous his words sounded, but never the less, they served their purpose. One, men had pride and so to suggest that someone else was better than the other, only made the man angry and feel as if he had something to prove. Second, the thought of getting a reward, meant to sound as perverted as one could take it, from a woman such as herself was enough to make any man jealous. Third, he was drunk and so anything Vaughn said had the ability to be ten times worse.
The man angrily stormed out of his seat and moved towards the other one who was attempting to buy the woman a drink. Vaughn watched the two men begin to bicker over who in fact was going to be the one to treat the lady. The nomadic knight was not finished though. Seeing another man in the table ahead of him, Vaughn spoke to him now. "Did you not see her first?" He asked, making it sound like that man had seen her first and therefore, had rightful claims to her. The man did not need to be reminded twice. He too stood up, along with two of his friends as they made their way towards the woman who now had a small crowd of men around her, and a room of men just sitting and still staring.
Vaughn leaned back in his seat a bit, and watched with complete amusement as one of the men threw the first punch, undoubtedly, leading to what was commonly referred to as a bar fight.

::vaughn:: Vaughn chuckled. "You would know all about that I am sure." He remarked in regards to her comment about a whore. My my. If Alistair only knew what he was implying to his woman right now. It was really such a shame that he was locked up somewhere. It was giving Vaughn far too much freedom at the moment. "It does make me curious though. Of what sort of leniency Alistair granted you in return for your, pleasurable favors to him." Meaning of course only one thing. Also insinuating crude things about her personality. But Vaughn was not one to concern himself with the feelings of others. He was not about to start now.
"Perhaps an extra meal for the day. Or more water than what was initially give to you." He could only assume how deep the druid's feelings for this woman ran, but he was mocking their entire relationship, basing it off something more vulgar than it probably was. And he was finding a great deal of amusement in doing this.
Vaughn just continued to smile slyly. "I have my ways of persuading others My Lady. A future Queen, always in the public eye. It is easy to spread damaging rumors to tarnish such an innocent reputation." Innocent was spoken with sarcasm of course. "If you do not believe me then all you need do is sit back and watch events unfold for themselves." Meaning, Vaughn would take action soon enough. If he wanted to. He was still debating what the best way to approach this would be, and her feelings or emotions on the matter, was not a factor he was putting in consideration.

::vaughn:: At her first phrase, Vaughn just smirked. Really. That was just too much of an opening. "On the contrary, I would love to see your scars. Wherever they may be." That was meant to sound just as perverted as anyone could take it. He had already seen her in her state of undress, though only partially, so why not see whatever scars she had as well. Of course, with comments such as these, Vaughn had no expectations that people, particularly women, would be so willing to adhere to them. It was what amused him so much about saying them. It was not because he cared about her injuries either. It was just because she was an attractive women and what man would not want to take advantage of this. In unforced ways that is.
"If they are on a figure as exquisite as yours, then I am certain they are no less than spectacular." Again, a sleazy comment meant to make her uncomfortable, or well, considering how she seemed to be acting around him, it was possible that she would have the opposite reaction and continue to humor and tease him. Either way, Vaughn was satisfied.
The Old Religion. Vaughn had no opinion of it really. Banned or permitted, he had not issues either way. He was completely indifferent. The only way it would catch his attention was if he was a victim of sorcery, but even then, he did not fear it. It was just something that made one day less predictable than the last. "I would be careful of who you admit that to. For all you know, I am a spy for a king who has outlawed magic." He was not. Obviously. But he was just entertaining the idea. "In which case, I would have a great interest in such things." He did not though. Obviously. He could not care less in fact, but that was not how he made it sound of course as an amused expression remained firmly in place.
Was that really a question. He chuckled at it. "Now what would you be implying. That your strength somehow miraculously outweighs mine. Or that perhaps you have another weapon hidden in that, spectacular clothed body of yours." As he said this his eyes scanned her body, slowly starting from the top, making their way intricately downwards before they moved up to meet her eyes again. He also, just for the sheer fun of it, emphasized the word spectacular, using the same description she had. As for her last question, he ignored it completely.

::vaughn:: Vaughn was becoming increasingly amused. He watched her very intently as she proceeded to undress. Though Vaughn could not see it, he could see the silhouette of a figure and this only made him smirk in the darkness the room was not filled with. What was she going to do? Sleep here? Well wouldn't that just be perfect. After all the attempts she had tried to make to keep him out of her chambers, he would now be sleeping next to her in them. This could certainly start some interesting rumors. Even if she denied it, and he confirmed it, people would always wonder what happened between the innocent Lady Silvertongue and the mysterious knight from afar.
As she dressed, Vaughn adjusted himself so that he was in a more comfortable position. He folded his hands behind his head, his eyes following her as she proceeded to lay down next to him, probably trying to create as much distance as possible between two people who were laying down on the same bed. "No good night kiss?" He asked, smirking even if his expression could not be fully seen.

::vaughn:: Vaughn looked at her as she began to swear at him. It was in a mumbled voice, but he could make out bits and pieces of what he was saying. Vaughn had no problem in someone cursing his family. Hell, had they not been dead to him emotionally then he would have joined in on the cursing. What the more curious thing was to Vaughn was that the boy was in fact cursing at him, when he was in this vulnerable position. It seemed as if he was trying to get every possible degrading comment out before Vaughn killed him.
Ironically, it was the cursing that prevented Vaughn from killing him right then and there. He was more amused by the unexpected words that escaped from the boy's mouth. The obvious reaction when in such a position was to beg for ones life, but clearly, this thief went against the norm. Though Vaughn changed his mind about killing him, he remained in the exact same position, not wanting the boy to know that he did not plan to kill him, yet. "What makes you so brave boy to say these things, when I clearly had the advantage and upper hand in this situation." They say that curiosity killed the cat, but right now, it saved the mouse.

::vaughn:: Vaughn smiled. So she had noticed after all. And it only made sense since he had not exactly been trying to make a secret out of it. "Burn them. What a waste for I do believe I can get quite a bit of monetary gain from selling them to a lonely, drunk man who longs for nothing more than the company of a woman." Sadly, a pair of undergarments would give that man some sort of company. Vaughn was a man; he knew how they thought. "Or if you have a child, perhaps I will use it to boast to others about how I am the father." Now there was an entertaining thought. Who knew there would be so many things to do with a woman's piece of clothing apart from the most obvious and practical function.
He continued to smirk, amused by the ideas, and even more amused that she had such strong knowledge of the fact that he had violated her privacy. Did she know what else he took? Not from her bedroom necessarily, but from the rest of the caste? Oh well. He would deal with one stolen possession at a time.

::vaughn:: Vaughn began to chuckle upon hearing this. Alistair seemed dead serious, and that was what amused him so much. Was he really planning this? Was he really going to go through with this? He would not have pegged the druid as someone who would go so far because a spoiled Prince had wounded his pride and honor. "What has the Prince done to you to cause such personal offense?" Something had to have happened, something specific. Otherwise, Alistair would not even have proposed such a thing since usually it was Vaughn doing the instigating of all their evil plots and he was usually the one convincing Alistair to join him.
"I am attending the various feasts and balls. I know only of a few guests that will be arriving. Aim for a royal family. I will keep an eye out for which one in particular would cause the most embarressment." The Prince himself would be hard to get to. They needed someone who was a guest. After all, what kind of host would not be humiliated in having one of their guests abducted. "I suggest a woman. Prove to them, those delusional knights, that their skills are completely useless for they can not even protect their own women." Another way to humiliate them; to do something that would publicly render them completely useless.

::vaughn:: This was a complete waste of time; time they did not have. Vaughn found himself chuckling at the king's words. "We are not going to kill you. What value would you be to us if you are dead?" That did not mean that they did not plan to give him hell for the next little while. He knew Alistair's reasons were a bit more revenge based, where as Vaughn's were more about the thrill and fun of it all. Never the less, it was going to happen.
He took advantage of the fact that Uther was keeping an eye on Alistair as both men had armed themselves, as if they were preparing for combat. Vaughn did not want it to go for that, not because he was concerned about the life of either one. But because all of their efforts and planning would go to waste if they were to get caught, and frankly, that would just be embarrassing to have their first unsuccessful kidnapping. Vaugh picked up a small rock and lightly hit it on Uther's head. It was not hard enough to cause serious injury but it was enough to either knock him unconscious, or make him very disoriented so that they could relocate themselves. Or at least, those were the effects Vaughn had been anticipating when hitting him on the head with it.

::vaughn:: He was making his way into the woods now. Vaughn knew it was going to be more difficult to find him, since there would be no one there to direct him, nor would there be a trail of destruction behind him to follow. No. Now there would only be trees and so listening to every sound, every snap of a twig, was absolutely integral. Vaughn however was no expert tracker so this would be a bit difficult. Luckily he did not have to listen too carefully for as he stood still, he heard the sound of falling. Yes; the sound of falling could indeed be heard.
He quickly ran to the source and found the thief of the ground. Finally; he had caught a break as the boy's foot had caught a root. Vaughn swiftly pulled out both his swords and pointed the tips of them at the boy's throat. "Well, well. What do we have here. A boy lost in the woods." Vaughn had finally had his victory and now that he had control over the situation, he did not know what to do with it for there were so many possibilities.

::vaughn:: Tedious for her, still highly enjoyable for him. He looked at her, still not discouraged by her clear disinterest in the subject they were talking about. Even if she had asked him the question, he answered, and she did not reply. He could expect nothing more than that. After all, his goal was not to have a scintillating conversation with her. It was to annoy her and annoy Alistair in the process. Again, his subtle revenge.
"I remember the last time I was in here," he said grinning, wondering just how much Alistair had told her about that. "I found many interesting things in your room I must say. Things of great, value." And he was not just talking about the gold. Did she know what he had taken? Had the druid spoiled the enjoyment of Vaughn showing her with her having no previous knowledge of it? Still, to dangle the fact that he had stolen things from her room was a fun thing to boast about. And soon enough, he would get to what else he had taken from the castle. But her bedroom without a doubt had been the more entertaining chamber in the castle.

::vaughn:: By offering to escort them back, he was also fishing for an invitation to their residence. Of course, he knew he and Alistair had plans, but it was something flexible and Vaughn could manage being at Alegra's estate for a night or two. It was a far too entertaining opportunity to pass by and Vaughn had no intention of doing so. "Thank you My Lady. I look forward to making your acquittance again." He lowered himself in a polite bow and began to walk away, ensuring that Alegra was still at his side. Of course, if she was not, surely her mother would urge her to join his company.
When they turned to leave, Vaughn smiled. He was rather proud of himself for setting up this entire situation. From blackmailing the woman that he had convinced her mother he was a suitor of. Oh it was too funny. Too bad his name would not be noted down in history anywhere. "I do think that your mother likes me. I made a rather good impression I believe." No, he did not believe. He knew he did because it was all a farce.

::vaughn:: The thief's size was proving to be a great advantage. He could maneuver himself around carts and barrels apparently, as well as hopping fences and climbing walls. But Vaughn was a stubborn man and was not about to give up. It was not because the bracelets held some sort of great sentimental value. It was because he did not like the thought of accepting the fact that someone had taken them from him. Not without paying first. As if Vaughn could not get more angry at the boy, there he was, standing on the wall and the knight had caught up in just enough time to hear him, and see him. Flaunting, boasting, rubbing it in his face.
That was it. The game was on.
Vaughn sneered and as he had slowed his pace, he no longer had that adrenaline rush that could have allowed him to climb over the wall as quickly as the thief had. Still. He had to find a way because this was not the end. Vaughn would chase him to the ends of the earth if necessary. After all, he had no life. No purpose. If this became his purpose then so be it. Vaughn began to look around for something that would give him the necessary height and stability to be able to climb up on that wall. The barrel would not do. He needed some sort of stool. He ran into a near by house, ignoring the screams of the residents. He shoved a person who was in his way, seated on the stool, and grabbed it, knocking the person to the floor and angrily carrying the stool out side, near the wall. Damn! It was not high enough. This was where he would try to use the barrel. He placed it on top of the stool, and though it looked high imbalanced and unstable, he had no choice. He had to do it quickly.
He jumped up on it, and had he not grabbed onto the ledge of the wall as quickly as he had, he would have fallen for the barrel and stool went tumbling to the ground. Vaughn used all his strength to pull himself up, but it took longer than he liked. As he peeked over the ledge, he could see the brown boy running off. This enraged him and gave him the boost he needed; the incentive and motivation. He forced himself up, managed to throw himself over, and landing hard on his feet. It was painful but there would be a time to feel the effects of his injuries. Now was not that time. He ignored it and kept running, as fast as he possibly could. He was not about to yell out anything to the boy. He was saving his anger and rage for when he came face to face with him.

::vaughn:: Vaughn smirked when she started laughing over the matter of the death of her parents. "I did not realize you found the subject so amusing," he said mockingly. Apparently, he was not the only one who found the issue of death an amusing one. People were growing more and more morbid as time went on. Who would have thought. Perhaps at some point, he would not be a rarity anymore. People would find morbidity and vulgarity humorous. Oh well. In the meantime, he would enjoy being unique. "I am going to say that they were. Or that they committed treason in some other way." Vaughn did not truly care. It was all a matter of curiosity. "Not many scars," he questioned, still smirking. "Would you care to show me which scars you do have," he suggested in a bit of a perverted manner.
He was as he had guessed. He supposed one would have to be, if they were forced to raise themselves and live in such dangerous times. Hmm. It would be interesting to see her fight in a battle, but he would not be the one to challenge her. There was no need to. Not when he was enjoying the flirtations far too much. "Perhaps not," he suggested when she said that he would have chosen a previous time if he intended to kidnap her. "Perhaps it was my goal to lure you out of the water, to see if anyone else was nearby and to test any protectors you may have." He was really not planning to take her. He did not think he would get anything from it other than a chunk of removed flesh from her canine companion. "Are you not still defenseless. Apart from your growling friend there," he said referring to the dog.
Contrary to popular belief, Vaughn was no idiot. Part of his strengths was analyzing body movement, and the way a person said something. It was after all how he received much of his ammo against people. Feeling her hand reach for his pocket, he kept his gaze focused on her, but grabbed her wrist. "Now now," he said in a teasing, playful manner. "We have not yet discussed what I will be getting in return for your dagger." Yet again, he was being suggestive, as if he was expecting more from her. Something only a woman could give. A young, attractive woman at that.

::vaughn:: Vaughn could feel her hands continuing to move along his armor. He kept his eyes closed, enjoying the small element of surprise as he did not know what she was doing. He would however be able to feel if she did anything abrupt and quick, such as reaching for a weapon. He was not that relaxed as to allow the possibility to slip from his mind. But for the time being, she did not seem to be doing anything too drastic. Just, helping him by unbuckling a few clips of his armor. This caused him to smile.
"I suppose you will be helping remove my armor after all," he said, holding back a chuckle but the amused tone was evident in his statement. After their extended conversation about having a male assist him, here they were. Him on her bed, her helping him remove the metal pieces. It was rather funny how things turned out; completely different than what was initially planned. It was why Vaughn had no long term plans. It was more fun this way, to live in the moment, and expect the unexpected.

::vaughn:: Vaughn chuckled at the question. Death was not something he hesitated in discussing. "My Lady there is very little in life that does not amuse me," he said. Surely those who have one conversation with him knew that. A smirk was never far from his expression and he often chuckled at just about anything. Of course, there were many who did not share his morbid, twisted, sense of humor and that was what made it all the more funny to him.
"It really depends on who I am killing and hurting," he began to explain, not expecting her to understand his motives. Truthfully, he had no motives. None what so ever. He did what he thought was fit for the moment, and went on from there. Just as now for instance. He had no real purpose of being in her room, other than hoping it was effecting her in more ways than she was letting on. It might not be, and Vaughn would be lying if he said that would not disappoint him. He would still try to push his limits and see how far he could go, and that was by attacking the people he knew she was close to. Family, and lovers. It was why Vaughn had neither. They always created a weakness. "It is interesting to see the reaction of those that person's death effects.
