.:Personality:. Aoife is quite full of herself, and usually can’t be persuaded that her opinion is not the correct one. Like so many of her family, the stubborn streak burns quite prominently in her personality, however, she has not yet learned how to reign it in. She can be a snob about certain things, particularly about her heritage. She is fiercely proud of being a Mercian noblewoman, although this doesn’t mean she has a negative disposition to any of the other Kingdoms in Albion. She also is quite snobby about matters of status, and would never aim below her own status. Aoife is a confident girl, and is growing into an equally confident young woman. She doesn’t like being reminded that she is still quite young, as her maturity surpasses her age. Her hobbies mostly involve reading, and embroidery, though she has a small streak of rebellion which still sits within her, although given her upbringing, she has never thought much of it. One aspect of freedom from her everyday lifestyle has always been gained through her skills in horse riding. She is quite a confident horse rider, and has been so since childhood. Aoife can be quite quick to be defensive, and jump to conclusions without thinking her words through.
.:Strengths:. Her musical talent, as she is well versed on a lute Her skills as a horse rider Aoife reads regularly to try and improve her grasp on the world She can be quite caring to those she is close to, and once she is loyal to someone she is fiercely loyal to them

.:Special Skills:. Aoife is gifted musically, and in the rhythm of dance. She plays the lute regularly, and finds it calms and relaxes her. She enjoys dancing as well, and enjoyed functions in Mercia as it gave her the opportunity to dance the night away. Aoife is also a confident rider, and finds the best way to see the view is on horseback. Aoife is quite intelligent for her age, but her intelligence can sometimes lead onto arrogance.

.:History:.
Aoife had a conventional upbringing in a noble household. As the first born, she was often doted upon by her mother, and was brought up to expect the best which life could offer. In her youth she was quite spoilt by both her mother and her father, although they had a distant relationship at best. Her mother was quite young, and still enjoyed the court life, while her father serves in the Mercian army. This never particularly concerned Aoife, and for the first six years of her life she gained exclusive rights to both her mother’s, and father’s limited affections when they were available. However, after the birth of her brother, Alexander, Aoife was somewhat replaced in her parent’s affections, as her father had wanted a son for years.
The age gap between Aoife and her siblings meant that they never enjoyed a healthy relationship, and left Aoife quite isolated in her own home. Outwardly she never showed this, and always continued to try and grow into the ideal noblewoman under her mother’s instruction.
Aoife’s mother passed away in childbed just before her fourteenth birthday. Aoife was quite shaken by the whole event, and was expected very quickly to step into the role of running the household, even though she had little instruction as a child. Her father quickly realised she was not yet ready to step up to running a household by herself, and so he sought a different solution. He quickly thought of selling his daughter’s wardship to his immediate family, until the time came for him to marry again, so that Aoife was relieved of her duties. The youngest children were being tended for by a nurse, but Bryce knew Aoife was too old for such care. None of the family in Mercia proved obliging with his plans, so Bryce sent a letter to his sister, Caitrin Aubert, in Camelot who proved to be more agreeable, and said that she would look after Aoife until Bryce married again, or until Aoife herself married.
As Aoife is quite proud of the fact she is Mercian, she of course wasn’t happy at being sent to live with an Aunt who quite clearly didn’t identify with her homeland very much anymore, especially as she had not met Caitrin, her husband, or her cousins. Her father pointed out that the warship might only be on a short term basis, and eventually Aoife came round to the idea, and the agreement was struck to send her to live with her Aunt and Uncle, and cousins, a few months after Morgana’s second reign came to an end.
