Isolde was relieved. After spending many hours resting and Merlin attending to her wounds, she felt much better. Although, there was a scare when she was still recovering at Merlin's home and Agravaine's men attacked the village, leaving them no choice but to flee into the woods and caves. And while Isolde was aware of the situation befalling Arthur and his Kingdom, she felt happy that she was alive and still kicking.
Not only was she feeling relieved but there was something about Arthur and the way he managed to pull the sword out of the stone that made her feel loyal to him and his cause. Isolde remembered the way in which Arthur removed the sword -- after getting over his nerves -- and how when he rose it in the air, the sun shone brightly over him as if the heavens agreed. And it was in that moment that she knew that Arthur was indeed a good man and good King and that she would be willing to fight along side him.
Isolde started helping the others get ready for the battle, sharping swords with expert hands -- her father was a Blacksmith and taught her how-- when she saw Arthur walking towards where she was sitting on a log. Looking up at him and nodding her head respectfully she asked him, "How are the preparations going?"

Isolde was glad to meet another woman with a great sense of humor and feisty personality. Gripping her hand, the other woman finally introduced herself and smiled at her, “It is a pleasure to meet you, huntress Isolde. Once again, sorry for our slightly frosty reception.” Isolde could not stop herself from laughing at the nickname Robyn had given her. The men in her own group had given her such nicknames so it was something she was most definitely use to and did not mind. Rather she liked to encourage it a little.
"Oh, don't worry. Believe me, my group and myself would have acted the same way if it happened to us." Isolde shrugged it off for she understood the difficulties and dangers that come with travelling around the Kingdoms.
Isolde noticed the looks of surprise on the some of the members of the group when she offered to help them move the tree trunk. Finally Robyn answered for them, “Sure, an extra pair of hands would never go amiss with that thick beast in front of us.” And with that she hopped down from the wagon and Isolde followed her as they walked towards the log where the three men and the boy were already standing, ready to move the humongous tree truck.

Isolde inwardly sighed in relief as two of the men began to bicker at each other about their inability to sing, because it meant that they believed her story. The woman who addressed her earlier then remarked to Isolde with a light chuckle in her voice not to listen to them and that her two male companions were idiots. Isolde gave a light chuckle back as she very well knew what men can be like when they were a little rowdy or drunk!
The woman then smiled at Isolde and introduced herself to Isolde, not before telling her that she hoped that she will find another rabbit. Isolde laughed when Robyn remarked that sometimes she is called Mockingbird or Lady Justice and found herself thinking that Robyn would make a great friend.
"Hello Robyn. I'm Isolde." Isolde then stepped closer towards her and took out her hand for Robyn to shake.
In the meanwhile most of the group was recovering from the laughing, though four of them started to try and move the log out of the way. And it was at this point that Isolde decided that she should lend a hand before returning to hunting for some food for her group. So Isolde looked at towards Robyn, smiling warmly before she offered nicely, "Would you like some help moving the log?"

The woman at the front -- who Isolde realized must have been the leader of the group -- bit her lip and Isolde knew that they still regarded her suspiciously and she was not surprised. For if it were the other way round, she would suspect the same.
After a few seconds, the woman called out, “So you say.” And Isolde noticed the man next to the woman giving her a irritated glance, most likely because he was the leader. "Believe me I am," Isolde tried to reassure them. Sure, she was a smuggler but her and her group did not ambush people and rob them. The woman continued speaking, still eyeing Isolde suspiciously, “But you could also just meant to distract us so we trust you and lower our weapons. And then your little friends come and finish us off.” Isolde nodded her head, because things like that do happen, but she was not the one to cause them. She was about to explain this to them, when the man next to the feisty woman piped up, "Forgive us our misgivings, but it wouldn’t be the first time.”
"True. That could all be true. But I can only try and assure you that I am indeed hunting and nearly caught a rabbit moments before when I got distracted by some singing, and missed hitting the rabbit and decided to try and follow it, ending up here." Isolde tried to tell them calmly, for usually she was strong-willed and hard to scare. But this was usually when she was armed with her sword and was not so outnumbered 10 to 1.

Today was a long day, Isolde sighed inwardly as she walked, particularly as they wanted to reach Longstead by nightfall to deliver their 'precious' cargo. But since they were tired from travelling non-stop for several, not to mention hungry, they decided to stop for a few hours to rest up and eat.
Everyone split up, having being given different tasks. Isolde decided to go hunt and see if she could find some rabbits or other animals that they could eat. She had been walking around the dense forest when suddenly she heard some leaves ruffling 10 yards ahead of her, looking up she saw that it was a rabbit. Getting her bow and arrow ready, she was ready to fire her arrow towards it when she suddenly heard people singing and missed. Annoyed, Isolde sighed and then decided to walk further to see whether she could find more game. For if there was a rabbit in this area then surely that meant that there was more around here somewhere.
So she walked on, quietly humming to herself as she had no one to talk to, when she finally reached the clearing heading towards a road. And there she saw a wagon blocked by a huge fallen truck in its path. She was about to walk across the path, when the people in the wagon saw her approaching, alarmed by her presence they began grabbing for their weapons. Grasping a little, Isolde stopped still, then realizing that they probably thought she was going to ambush them, raised her arms and spoke up, voice strong, "Do not be alarmed. I'm not ambushing you," She then held up her brow and arrow and explained, "I was just hunting."

.:Name of Character:.Isolde .:Nick Name:. Issy .:Age:. 24 .:Race:. Merican .:Status:. Nomad
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Isolde has bright blue sparkling eyes, blonde hair and pale skin. She is 5 foot, 11 inches and her body is very toned, no doubt due to the many fights she has been in. She tends to wear a lot of tunics and trousers as they are much more comfortable to travel in as well as fight in when the occasion calls for it. .:Height:. 5 foot, 11 inches .:Portrayed by:. Miranda Raison
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Isolde has a very fiery, feisty personality. She spent a lot of her time growing up sneaking out with her friends to play in the forests, hunt animals and whatever else they managed to get up to. While she is feisty and strong-minded, Isolde also has a gentler side to her personality – she always is there for her friends when they need a shoulder to cry on or advice on something.
Although, she started smuggling goods from Kingdom to Kingdom with her fiancé Tristan, she strongly believes that their intentions are good. For the taxies in many of the kingdoms had risen so high, people could not afford to buy food and other supplies. But her and her group of smugglers manage to sell their goods at reasonable prices.
.:Strengths:. Isolde is very good with a sword, having been taught by her father. She is quick witted, though she had limited education -- her mother taught her how to read and write. She is fiery and feisty and never lets others take advantage of her just because she is a woman. She is determined and willing to do what it takes to survive and help others as well. .:Weaknesses:. She can be a little too rash at times, especially when her friends and Tristan are in danger -- sometimes rushing into a fight without thinking rationally about it. Her fieriness can also get her into trouble, especially when interacting with people of the opposite sex. Though she uses her femininity to get what she wants. .:Magic Abilities:. None! .:Special Skills:. She is very skilled with a sword and a bow and arrow. She also knows how to sharpen and mend swords. .:Accents:. Merican.
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Merica .:Family:. Father – Allen || Mother – Elizabeth || Fiancée – Tristan .:Occupation:. Smuggler .:Current Location of Residence:. The Forests in Merica .:History:.
Isolde was the only child born to Allen and Elizabeth of Merica. Her father was a blacksmith and her mother a well-known streams-dress. Growing up, Isolde enjoyed helping her father in the forge, learning what she could of the art and sword fighting. Though her father was a little hesitant at first at teaching her how to fight, Isolde's persistence paid off and when she was 12 he began teaching her some fighting skills.
When she was 15 years old she met Tristan, a traveller who was passing through Merica. After spending some time with him, they fell madly in love.
One day Tristan asked Isolde to marry him, which she happily agreed to. Her parents were delighted with the match for they liked Tristan. They spent months planning the wedding -- though they were not rich -- but her mother being one of the best dress-makers in the village was able to gather a handsome amount for a small ceremony. That was until the day bandits came to their forge demanding that her father repair and make them new swords. Her father, however, refused and they killed him. Isolde was not there, but when she came home and discovered what had happened she was devastated. As was her mother, so much so that not long after her father died, her mother passed away.
Seeing as there was nothing left at home keeping her there and the memories of the tragedies that had occurred too raw, her and Tristan decided to leave . Though she would miss her home, it was too much for her to bear.
For a few years Tristan and Isolde lived in a small village just outside Camelot (but a part of Cenred’s Kingdom) where they owned a stall and made their living selling goods. That was until the day the taxies were raised, making it very difficult for them to make a living and pay their taxies. So they decided that instead of staying in one place, they would travel around the Kingdoms, finding goods and smuggling them where ever they was a demand to sell them for a reasonable price.
One day while they were travelling they encountered two strangers, named Merlin and Arthur. Having caught them spying on them, they were going to kill them -- but Merlin managed to convince them to let them go before asking if they could travel with them. Isolde and Tristan agreed seeing as the man Merlin was travelling with was a simpleton and not going to steal their goods. Whilst travelling they were attacked by some of Helios's men and it was at this moment that the simpleton revealed himself to be King Arthur.

Isolde could not believe her ears when the simpleton announced he was actually King Arthur – and while both her and Tristan were shocked and a little appalled, a part of her was amazed. Amazed that he managed to trick them into believing he was a simple-minded person.
But this was not the time to dwell on such things as they were being attacked at this exact moment -- Helios's men having found them. She then saw in her the corner of her eye that someone was about to attack Arthur from behind him and Arthur was completely unaware. For he was too busy fighting with someone else. Leaving her no other course of action but to quickly run up to Arthur's attacker and strike him down. However, the man still managed to strike her across her face, causing her to fall to the ground, unconscious.
She could hear her beloved willing her to stay awake, telling her that she had made a promise to stay with him always. She opened her eyes slightly, seeing as her head throbbed so much and told him faithfully with a little smirk, “When have I ever gone back on my promises.”
