Life would be so much easier had she been a farm girl, one whom he did not have to worry about hurting becu0ause of his blood. At least not the way he worried about hurting her. As he kissed his way over her he could not help but think how soft her skin was and how delicate it felt. He knew from experience that she wasn't completely breakable but sometimes he felt as if he was tempting fate by testing it.
No farm girl would be this soft or have skin as unmarred and flawless as a princess. Their skin was tougher from sun and labor. He reached out, after the laces were loosened and pulled the dress down. Kissing her shoulder he let his hands trail down her arms to around her waist. "Free from your cage." The tight dress being the cage.

She pulled him deeper in to the green hidden world and he could not help but a small grin at her mood. She seemed so happy. He wondered if it was her friend being crowned king or if it had something to do with him. He hoped the later because the former making her happy annoyed the hell out of him.
"Now who is kidnapping whom, Princess?" He teased her since she was pulling him more away from any signs of people or visuals of the castle. Not that he would make her pull hard. He would follow her anywhere. She was his whole reason for being here. He's lost his family at the age of twelve, but now he had one back. That was the reason he was here. The reason he had given up his need to fight. While he wanted to do more for his people; he knew that with all the changes that they could be safe now. If they were not then he would make the decisions he had too, but for now everything seemed to be working for them. It was an odd feeling. Made him more weary or afraid to drop his guard.

Alistair did not let his face react to Vaughn's words. He wanted to kill him for his words but knew he needed him. "I could hire ten men for an ounce of the price." Bargaining was something he learned from Vaughn. However in this he was not planning to let Vaughn live long enough top claim the price.
Still, Alistair knew better then to just pretend to give Vaughn what he wanted. If he made it look too easy then Vaughn would wonder why. He needed that half way mark. Give just enough to make it work, yet not enough to make it break.
"My rooms. In the knight' wing. You can have access to that." Not to the rest. Though if you got that far you could get in deeper. Not to the royal chambers, but close. If he was alive; which he would not be.

Alistair wondered how they had been friends for so long. When he first meet Vaughn, it had been chance. Still, they had shared a small bond and from there it had allowed them to become the villains they were for a while The difference was that Alistair had a motive and moral line and Vaughn only had a mouth an a bit of steal. He had no family, no friends and nothing to give him a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Alistair pitied the man.
"Do not pretend you will not it. Just name your prince and let us see it done." He was not going to waste time talking to Vaughn when it would only anger him further. In his mind however; he was making plans. He was working out just how to silence the bastard once and for all. Vaughn's days were numbered by hours. Less if they worked quickly.

Alistair wasn't an fool. He knew that he had to avoid being caught by the former king. Still; the king was said to be mad now. Alistair wondered if he walked up to the man if he would know him. Part of him enjoyed the idea of being in the man's home as a welcomed guest, and walking his halls. Knowing that if the king ever found it it would give him another thing to chip away at his mind. Had Alistair been holding that amount of guilt in him for that amount of evil; he might go mad too.
Honestly; when he learned the king's ward was his daughter who had magic and had taken over the kingdom; his first thought had been impressed if not even a bit pleased. However the girl's actions had caused him to change his mind. The ward turned queen had murdered, and hurt the people under her. He'd seen the dreams from it. She might be fighting for magic, but she became the monster that gave them cause to hate magic more.
He agreed that it was beautiful. Reminded him of being outdoors rather then in a stone prison. "It is." The flowers he could do without but the green and the trees he liked. "We can stay here to give you some air." He reached up to tuck the stands of hair behind her ear before kissing her forehead.

Alistair watched Vaughn laugh it off and he wondered how any man could not be effected by the idea of a child that could be his. Had Alistair found out that one of the few woman he had been with before Isadora had a child; even if it was a year afterwards; he would have moved heaven and earth to go back there and find out. Bloodlines and family and loyalty meant nothing to Vaughn. Only Vaughn meant something to Vaughn.
Now he meant nothing to Alistair. "You like violence and death and woman. I am giving you all three in one night." Alistair wasn't going to out right ask, nor would be beg. He'd do it on his own first; or try too. Let Vaughn decide to go and tell Asher; Alistair would join them soon enough. After tonight then he would demand Vaughn not cross paths with him again. If he did, then he would let it all end there. If not sooner.

She did wear too many clothes! Why one felt like wearing a hundred things on their persons was beyond him. Until he took on his role he'd never owned a hundred things when you added things up for a few years; much less all together at once. Here you had under clothes, and something to shield the under clothes from your normal clothing. Padding that he wasn't sure why he had to wear when he wasn't planning on his armor, and then his normal clothing. No wonder knights looked fat!
And the woman were worse. They had dresses and under dresses and things meant to cling and mold their bodies; and ruffles and more layers! Madding they were. "You still do," Her told her, as he started reaching for her laces. It was much easier to seduce a woman when she could be undressed and redressed in moments rather then a half hour.
Alistair kissed her deeply as his fingers reached for the laces behind her and pulled them undone. Breaking the kiss he pulled her closer and turned her around. He rarely asked her to do things, finding it simpler to just move her how he wanted her. He moved her hair over her shoulder and placed a kiss on the nape of her neck. As each lace was loosened it gave him another place to kiss.

"I had once attempted to map out an exit in case a Princess did not let her self be taken from the castle." He teased her in his own way; a reminder of how easy it had been to take her from the castle. "And I had an occasion to look around after you went to your rooms here." He left out his exit plan; not wanting her to know that he always had one. He knew she knew that he would protect her; but he didn't want her to know how far the plan went until things came to the never turn part part of their lives.
He could tell she was pleased with the idea, for she keep asking about it and her face looked happy. He liked knowing he could make her happy. That he didn't have to know the flowery words of other knights; or be of pure noble blood.
He wasn't really kidnapping her, but he was stealing her away for an hour or two. "Just for as long as you let me." He did not answer her other question however until they arrived. The hall just sort of came to an end, and turned to soft grass under your feet. The stone walls were covered in ivy; and their were flower bushes everywhere with random colors of buds on different ones. "It's a garden." He had found it odd that a castle ran by men would have such a place still in it; yet here it was. A peaceful little hidden garden with trees and flowers; perfect for a few moments of escape.

Vaughn was proving to Alistair with each and every word that he was no longer trust worthy. That he would sell him out at a moment's notice; however his words seemed to hint that he had not know Asher was in the city. Being Asher had looked surprised at seeing him; it meant that Vaughn had not told him. Alistair had assumed the reason Asher was in town was because of Vaughn; but clearing it was no so.
Which meant for the night, Vaughn could leave. The day was fast approaching however that Alistair and Vaughn would no longer be able to avoid the kick down, drag out fight to the death that was coming.
Asher traveled with armed guards; having liked to show off his power. He would need Vaughn to help get past time and to help remove witnesses from seeing the events. He could no longer show his face as boldly as he pleased. "He has a son now." Alistair told Vaughn from the ground. "Who looks like his father." Asher was dark, but in skin and mood. His wife was as well. Not the boy. "Be a pity if you looked like the boy." Meaning that if Vaughn visited the man, he might know Vaughn had slept with his wife. Granted, the boy was blond of hair and Vaughn was not--However he was rather hoping Vaughn would not know that detail and it would give him pause. While Vaughn might like for Asher to know who the father was; for such things amused him; Asher's temper and small army of men might damper his mood.
Pushing from the ground, he keep his hand on his neck and looked at his once friend; a man who had once saved his life. "Your going to help me kill him." Not a request.

Alistair wasn't the type of man to sit back and laugh at his past; or enjoy the retelling of his life. However; when he though on it the early days of their their relationship were the ones he thought of the most. Mostly because he had forced her to do so much that now he would never ask of her. He had bound her til she bruised, forced her to walk till she fainted, and made her pull the skin off of a deer for her own meal. She carried buckets of water for a large distance, and other things that he he thought up in the moment.
There wasn't much he ever regretted, but there were a few moments back them that he now wished he could have done differently. Yet she had never been helpless. That was what he liked most about her. He was stronger and could over power her in a moment. He'd seen her so afraid that she cried, and seen her get so desperate; but she never stop fighting. Never gave up. She never didn't try.
He let her remove his armor and then sat besides her to pull off his boots one at a time. Once he was free from the complicated parts of his required clothing; he turned to face her. Framing her face in his large hands he leaned forward to kiss her again. "Kameu tut, Princess." He muttered the words of his blood before kissing her again.

It was as if she offered a man in hell water. He was almost moving before she finished asking him if he would like to walk. After they had arrived; he'd left a man at her door to guard it while walking around and looking at exits and how the best way out of the castle was in case things turned south. Being she had been kidnapped from this very castle before; it was easy to pretend the king had ordered this type of close watch on her. While on his 'walk' he'd found the garden that was full of random flowers and vines that covered the stone so it all looked green. As if he was back int he woods rather then in sa stone fortress.
He would lead them toward there. She might like the pretty plants and he doubted anyone else would be lurking there since no one wanted to miss the twrilling that was going on. Taking her hand as a knight would do he played the chivalrous escort as they made their way out of the main room. "I would show you something." He did not know if she had seen it before; but he hoped not. If she had them she might be unimpressed or worse have stolen there for a kiss from some man he'd be forced to hunt down.
Once out of the main room, he turned them to lead her down the maze of pale stones that would lead them toward where he wanted them go to. How anyone learned to tell which way they were going was beyond him. He only knew the way to the garden because it was near the outside. He simply had to follow the windows; even it it was the long way to get to the garden.

After her offer of help, he looked up at her knowing that it was not the first time she had offered. Back upon their first hours together she'd made a similar offer and he'd been the fool to let her. His lips twitched in a rare smile before took a few steps closer to allow her to help him. He could remove the armor his own self if he wanted; but he liked to watch her do it. There was something about the idea behind it that he enjoyed.
Perhaps he was becoming too much like the nobles here. The thought should have bothered him. He knew other knights spoke of their wives who sometimes helped them dawn their armor or remove it as part of a honor filled tradition. While tradition meant nothing to him; he liked the vision of it. The idea of coming full circle. From the two who hated each other; and went out of their way to this now. When she spoke again; telling him she missed him; he reached behind her head and gently pulled her hair to til her face up to his and kissed her deeply not even caring if she was done removing the armor or if it was still hanging on him. He wasn't good with soft words; but he could tell her in other ways. He missed her too.

He was not enjoying his self in the manner she was asking. He hated crowds; nobles; and this openly annoying way of displaying wealth and power. He'd over heard one such fat noble man talking about savage druids easier, and it had been all he could do to not kill the bloody man. "I am enjoying his moment." He told her, not wanting to bring down her smile. She looked happy; and he knew this was her world. He did not want to ruin her evening by telling her he rather be in the stables with the muddy pigs. The pigs were nicer.
He had even talked with the king; the new one; tonight. It had not lasted long; but there was a sense of understanding there. Alistair knew the man would never forgive the crimes against his family; even if the young king could forgive the crimes against his kingdom. He would tell her later of his speakings with the new king. For now he had to watch his words; few that they were. "You look happy." It was a complement in his own way.

Good. No maid meant he didn't have to hide while the woman came in to clean to undress his Princess. He happened to like that part of his day; and didn't need to pay some maid to stay up late and do it for him. Besides; he was too damn big to hide anywhere with out it being almost noticeable. The one time Vaughn and he had broken in to her chambers; he had been rather glad no one had found them; and that he had not been forced to hide someone awkwardly.
He didn't move at first when she slipped away; only turning his head to watch her. There was something different; about her lately but he could not quite place it. Something too subtle for his eyes to see; only his mind. He liked to think she was happy; and these times of no one trying to kill them and things actually going a bit their way was the reason. Turning toward her he moved closer quickly so he could lift her into his arms and carry her that way. "You never have to ask, Princess."
at the bed he sat her down on it; and stood back for a moment while he removed the half armor that all knights wore while in the castle. It was his least favorite thing about this charade. The bloody armor. It shined, it clanged, and it was heavy. AND it made him a target if he was in the woods where his normal clothing would have hid him.

Alistair cared not how easy it was. Looking up over her head; he noticed one of the men who was dancing twirl in a circle before moving back up to take the noble woman into his arms. The hell he was twrilling. Alistair looked back down at her and said nothing to her easy comment. It was her other that make him wonder of that was something she expected of him. He hoped not; but was not going to discus it with her where anyone could hear.
He wanted to say something witty; or pointing about a wedding or a wedding date but said nothing. He wasn't sure the words that wouldn't make him look the fool; and he did not want her to feel as if he was pressuring. He wanted it sooner rather then later but either way he spent his nights with her; and his days protecting her. A wedding would only make her feel better about it; and give him a public claim before her men. "Would it please you on that day?" If so then he might attempt one. Only for as a gift for her on that day however. Not tonight.

Alistair did pause at the feel of steal against his neck. However, it was only for a few seconds. While Vaughn was running his mouth in his egotistical manner, Alistair cut short his last few words by doing something he knew Vaughn was not expecting.
Vaughn tended to rely on the fear he put into people to do some of his fighting for him. When you were afraid, even just slightly; then you hesitated. Your blinked or gave pause. That was when someone who fought as dirty as Vaughn let their skill do the rest and over take you. Alistair wasn't going to let Vaughn's mouth go off on a run again.
Letting the blade do it's work, and cut just slightly into his skin, Alistair slammed his head into Vaughn's upper nose before rolling away from the man with his swords. He'd hoped it would stall him long enough to let him get a few feet back with out finding the same blade in his back.
He moved so that he was sitting against one of the building making the ally and leaned against it with one hand on his bleeding neck. He was going to kill Vaughn one day. If it was the last thing he ever did.

Out of her bloody mind; she was. As she turned away from him, Alistair stepped forward to grab her upper arm in a soft but firm grip so she could not prance off to dance with some knight that he had spent his own life fighting. He knew what dancing was! It was an excuse for some knight to put his hands on a proper noble woman with her getting scandalized. If he wanted his hands on her; he'd to it. He didn't need dancing as an excuse.
Knowing that she hated gossips and standing here holding her arm would cause it he let go of her after a making sure she wasn't still walking away. He wanted to demand she not; and force her to promise that she wouldn't. He wanted to drag her out of here and 'escort her to her room'. "Stay." Alistair would play by her rules for now. "Please." In case anyone over heard. Dancing wasn't something he wanted to try; he much rather stand here and let her talk to him. Or steal a few glasses of wine and escape to their own party. Too many people were here, and not enough cool air.

Alistair stood their watching as Vaughn talked. He felt the subtle rage draw up inside of him; and he could only stand there for a few moments before his hands balled into fist and he shook with the power of the anger inside of him. He was no a man of words, but one of actions. If there was anything that being in the woods since he was twelve had taught him; it was how to move quickly and with force.
Alistair did not hesitate. He did not shift his weight for more power; for it would give away his actions. He jumped forward at Vaughn; aiming his stronger right shoulder at Vaughn's ribs hoping to break at least one between the force of the hit and the force of slamming with both their weight on the ground. Alistair's formal knightly garb would help with the blow as well. They went backwards once on the ground; Alistair moved up to aim his large fist at Vaughn's large mouth. No words were needed to help express his ire.

Alistair was a very observant man. He had learned from an early age to notice things in order to keep himself alive and to be able to do some of the more shadier jobs that he had been forced to take. However, a woman's weight was something every man knew to ignore. Besides, he liked her this way. She did not seem as fragile with some extra roundness to her.
He knew little of woman in that aspect. How they changed and aged. He had been with a few woman before his Princess. He could count each event on one hand, and while they had been pleasant they had not been as it was with her. Deepening the kiss, he half pulled her away from the window so no one could see them; and then pressed her to the wall. He broke the kiss for a moment and rested his face near her's, "Will your maid return tonight?"

The rest of this conversation was going to go one of two ways. Either Vaughn and him would end up killing on another; or they would end up killing Asher. Alistair knew there was only one factor that would decide on which way it would go. "Did you tell Asher?" He demanded in a low growl, trying to get Vaughn talking about the topic at hand rather then taking joy in some man's wife.
Vaughn called Alistair the weak one. Said he changed. That the princess had whipped him into her control; but Vaughn knew nothing of who Alistair was and is. While he knew that he had given up on some of his goals; Vaughn only saw that. Never looked beyond the obvious to see what Alistair wanted from his life; or even to care if he was enjoying what he could from life. Vaughn only saw his own side.
