He needed Vaughn for his plans. Vaughn was more trouble then he was worth.
The high side and low side of the arguments were both good ones. Alistair was not sure if he should let Vaughn think he was getting his way and just plan to return things later or if he should draw his weapon and demand Vaughn return the underthings.
Vaughn had saved his life. Vaughn was going to get him killed.
Alistair watched Vaughn walk away and almost went for the dagger in his boot before deciding that the noise would just draw unwanted attention. Which meant he would have to let Vaughn take what he wanted and just plan to beat him for it later. Alistair gritted his teeth before walking over to follow Vaughn on down the hall.

Alistair watched the man put up his sword and walk closer. He was not sure if he trusted the man to come to close but his sword was up and he did not want to raise an alarm while being this close to the castle. The last thing he needed was the REAL Arthur to come out looking for him. He had stolen the man's horse enough times that, Alistair was sure for that reason alone he was going to try to kill him. Much less for the other kidnappings.
When Anton offered his hand, Alistair paused for a moment before extending his as well. He gave the man a firm shake and then let go. Alistair was not overly used to touching people, as even when his paths did cross with men there was no touching. Not since the princess had he even wanted to. Still, he knew it was rude. "What brings you this way?" he asked, not really sure why he did but if the man lived in Camelot then maybe he could try to get some information out of him.

Alistair would have taken the child, once the babe was old enough to leave his mother. He would not however, take the baby away from her. She would just have to join him out in the real world, and either learn to rule a new way. He was not going to let nobles raise his child.
When he saw the flags he wanted to start dragging his feet but he knew she would be able to tell what he was up to so instead he just made sure they keep the same pace as before. No faster, and no slower. He did not wish to make her think he was dragging his feet, nor did he want to hurry them along. It was madness trying to decided something as simple as how fast to travel.
They grew closer and closer, and Alistair knew that this was it. As they exited the woods, and started making their way into the town, Alistair slowed their pace. He paused, before they got past any buildings and looked down at her. "In your world, I hear they have formal greets and farwells. How does one say good bye to a Princess in there?"

Alistair's fingers tightened around her's for a quick moment, in a gesture that was part comfort and part teasing before he started walking again. He had not promised to never see another woman after her, but he knew that it would be a long time before he could even think about moving on. He would want a son, even the small maybe that she had given him had told him that. He would not mind a daughter, but he wanted a son. One to he could raise, and teach.
It was not something he had thought about often, but it was something that he was almost sure about. He knew it might be better to wait a year or two before seeking out this son but he also knew he could die in this war he was starting between himself and the King.
It also was bothered him that it was more and more likely that the Princess would not be the mother of his son. So no, he could not promise her that there would be no women after her. He could only promise that they would not be as special as she was.
He was silent as they walked closer. His mind running over her question, and while he knew that there were no men before him he knew there would be at lest one man after him. Her husband. She would marry, and that man would have a life time with her while he only have three days. Stolen hours in a lifetime.

He just chuckled, not about to tell her how he meant it. She could figure it out, if she thought about it. Most women in this world, would have done what he said, when he said but complained very moment of the way. She had done what he said, but not complained and plotted to drug him and escape. It was in these actions; the ones that annoyed him, drove him mad, and gave him trouble; that he found the best in her.
He gave her a light kiss before dropping his hands. He knew that once the crossed over the next few hills she would start seeing the red flags of Camelot on the highest towers. Soon after that she would see more of the roof and before long she would see the castle. It would be from a distance, but it would be the thing that would signal that their time was officially up.
It was growing late, and he did not want to stop and hunt here. They were to close to the Castle and out of the other kingdom to be safe (for him). If she grew hungry then she would have to wait to eat in the castle. He was sure they would feed her. They would bundle her up, feed her, question her, let her bathe and put her to bed. "Come, the hour grows late. I promised to have you home today." He told her, not wanting her to go, but knowing she could not stay.

Was she upset at him for not knowing she was going to come into his live and changing everything? He knew she did not look mad but she could not ask a loaded question such as that one and then just be like 'time to go home and never see you again'!
"Princess," He said in a tone that was telling, "I don't know what the future hold." Which was an ironic twist of fate for a seer, but he only saw some things not everything. "I know what the past has held for me. You lived your life in your way and I lived mine in my way. The future I have no idea of. I could take you to the castle gate, and die there. I could live for 40 more years. Unless . . . " His eyes dropped down to her middle for a moment until he forced them to her face, "Unless you carry my child, then I will never see you again. I can not make promises you. You can not make them to me."
He walked closer, placing one hand on each side of her face, "But I can tell you this. I have never meet a more a more annoying, madding, troublesome woman, and I do not think I will ever get you out of head, or from under my skin." It would be as slow as he would get to admitting she was unforgettable in ways he could not say.

"Alistair," He had been looking at her, staring at her face when she spoke. He gave her a half grin, when she said his name and not 'you Druid' this time. Apparently she had given up on trying to annoy him. ".you've...well, you've been with other women before, haven't you?"
Alistair was psychically uncomfortable with her question. The answer was yes, of course. He was man, who had just hit 30 a few years back. He had known a few women casually but he was not very social. He sifted his feet once before looking behind her as if hoping some random foe would spring up and need smiting. ANYTHING to not answer.
he did not wish to fight with her, however nor could he lie to her. "A few." He admitted, watching her face closely. He wondered why she'd asked. It was not like he was Vaughn, who had more girls then strands of hair. Alistair was not like most men in this part of his life. He was to solitary to be at ease with people. Especially most women, who wanted a man who talked and shared feelings. Vaughn could lie to them. Alistair would just ignore them.

Words would have ruined the moment; or moments that the walk was giving them. He walked beside her, his hand laced with her's knowing that with every step closer they grew the final goodbye was coming. He wondered; had he knew this would be how it would come about, and ultimately end; would he still have done it? Would he had done anything differently? Picked another princess?
He had heard of only one other Princess spoken of. Vivian or something. He wasn't sure what she was the princess of, but he had heard the servants speaking of how spoiled she was. He had not thought anything of it, nor worried the was the princess of Gwent that he was after. He had assumed all princesses were like that.
With his Princess however, he had been proved wrong. He never would have have thought that in three days time, not only would be actually respect a member of the upper class but he would feel loyalty to one.
At one point, with only about five hours walk left he stopped. Letting her rest. He spoke the first words he had spoken in hours. "It's down hill from here. An easier walk."

Alistair was not the type of man who talked allot. He had spent so many years on his own that even when he wanted to talk he often didn't quite know how to say what he wanted to say. "I wasn't." Was all he had to say about the idea of following the man. HAD he been following the stranger, he would not have gotten caught and HAD he gotten caught he would have not stepped out when asked 'who's there'!
Alistair also knew better then to give the man his name. Alistair had not only kidnapped the princess of Gwent in recent days, but a servant girl (who was supposed to have been a noble) and then he had topped them all. By kidnapping the King of Camelot himself! He was a wanted man, and not just for being a druid. "Arthur." He lied, "Yours?"

Alistair did not comment on her silence, nor did he break it. Unlike before where he had wished she would talk, this silence was a comfortable one. It was odd to find someone that he was willing to talk to but comfortable just being around them as well. It did however, make the upcoming goodbye more noticeable.
As they traveled he made sure to keep a slow enough pace that a princess would be able to keep up, with out going so slow that it would add extra time to. When they came to anything fallin and blocking their paths and there was no way around it, he would help her cross. A few times there would be creeks, they'd have to cross, and he lifted her silently in his arms to cross it so her dress would not become wet.
It was as if they both knew what was to become of them in a few short hours. They would turn to being a noble Princess, and a outlawed Druid. When they came to fallen tree, he held his hand to help her cross. Once she had cross, instead of letting her go as he had done before, he linked his fingers with her's and keep walking.

Alistair lifted the bag and put it on his good shoulder, before starting to walk back to the woods. He often camped here but he knew he would never again be able to do it with out thoughts of her and last night playing in his mind. This place would be his and his alone, as he would never bring another woman here. (And never Vaughn!!)
"Come now," he said as he lead the way. He was not going to tell her where they were going. She would know where they would end up but not how to get there. Right now they were walking the border line between two kingdoms which was why he was sure they would not find them (they being the knights of Camelot).
He did not know much about the politics between kingdoms but he did know that Gwent and Camelot were not friends with this kingdom. Everyone knew it. It was why he had planned to use the border to get closer to the castle. Camelot's knights would not risk war to cross into this land. They would use the border to travel past any men looking for her and come up behind the castle from the east. Since the random drop off was north west of the castle and the way he had taken her out of the city was west they would assume he was somewhere in between. Giving him freedom to drop her off at the back of the castle with out walking into a trap.

Alistair chuckled at her words. Yeah, he'd never been called that one before. Even his uncle had called his Druid a few times, rather then his name. Most times it came out as a insult, from non-druids however, so he could take her calling him that as he knew she held no malice. He wasn't sure what was in her tone however, but as he had been trying to get a rise out of her, he took it as goal met. E
He packed up his bag, and kicked some dirt on the fire to make it go out. Tucking his dagger back into his boot he turned to look at her. This was it. The no turning back point. If he really wanted to keep her, he could do it. Force her. Take her so deep into the mountains that no one would find them. Ever. She'd hate him, at first, but with time she could learn to forgive. Learn to love the life he could give her.
Walking closer to her, he knew he could not do it. Not to her. "It's a long walk, if we get started now we will be able to stop and rest whenever you need to. Don't push your self to hard in order to get home faster. You'll need your energy to walk the distance." He told her in a solemn voice, before a slow grin came on his face and he spoke the words that would annoy her (because that was better then the solemn words and the good bye that was coming) "Let's get a move on, Princess."

"There is a great evil in the woods, and we must get you away before it finds us." Of course Vaughn was the great evil, Alistair spoke of (the man was dark in ways that Alistair could not understand), but the goal was to LET Vaughn find them. Vaughn WAS his partner in crime.
With all the kidnappings they had done in the past month, you would think that the king would be more already. Then again, they had only kidnapped women so far so many the king thought they was safe. Unlike the other kidnapping, Alistair would not be holding the hostage alone. This time Vaughn would be there.
To help make sure Alistair did not kill the man.

Alistair liked calling her princess; it had started off as an insult and slowly turned from that to an endearment, to a reminder of the difference between them. He liked knowing that when someone used her title, after she returned she might be reminded of him. He liked to pretend that it was something no one else would ever call her. Even when she became queen, he would call her princess to get that small rise out of her. He'd only used her name twice, since learning what it was.
Once was just after he had kissed her, and was trying to beg her to to let Rilan. The other was by the river, before she had drugged him in order to escape. He might have keep on calling her by her name, after that point but her actions had reminded him that he needed that constant reminder of who she was.
In that walk to the river, they had spoken as equals. Not two people pretending to be equals, but there had been a brief time there were they just fit. She had reminded him, with her actions that nothing had changed. She might treat him as if he was her equal, or even something more but in the end; he was a druid who had just made sure he was an outlaw in five kingdoms, and she was a princess of the realm.
Giving her a half grin, he let go of her hands at her back and framed her face with his both. "Whatever you say, Princess." Then kissed her again, lightly. Afterward, he gave a soft chuckle and turned to talk back to their camp so he could began packing his things.

Alistair was not pleased to be this close to the Castle. Still, he knew why he often came here. It was a reminder. Of her. Damn her but she was still on his mind. Forever there, just out of reach. This was where he'd taken her and this was where he had returned her. Even of she was no longer here, he came here to think. -- And to tempt fate.
There was a rustling sound not far from him, followed by a voice demanding what who ever was there show themselves. Alistair silently moved closer to the sound, only to find signs that someone had just run off. Was it a woodland thief seeking to rob someone? He walked a few steps closer to the edge of the woods, and then moved around a large tree and into view of the voice. "I think you were being followed." He said in his deep, and calm voice.

He knew they had to leave soon, but he was in no hurry to hasten their departure. Watching her walk away, he wondered what she expected him to do. Kidnapper her again? Try to kiss her? Both? Whatever it was that she was trying to get out of him, he was willing to give it.
After his uncle had taken him, he had been forced into that world. His uncle had done any job he could find, which had ranged from sword for hire, to assassin. Tracking and hunting had become Alistair's specialty.
When kidnapping a princess, one needed strategy.
He moved as silently as he could over the ground and to her right, in hopes she would be less aware he was there. Once he was close enough to touch, he reached quickly over he grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her, more gently then the last time. Pulling her body ageist his. "Now, now Princess, does this not look familiar?" He used his other hand to grip her face firmly but not bruiseingly so, and then brought his lips down on her's in a strong kiss.

She asked about which lesson he had meant but at the moment he had wanted to show her the rope trick, so he had shown her that first. However her next question made him fall back to her first. He did not mind talking about life as a small Druid boy, about the day his parents where murdered by the king's men, or even about his plans currently. However the years in between were something he was hesitant to speak of. While he had never fully crossed into the dark side of human nature he had walked well into the shadows.
His hands were still around her wrist, and he lifted them up to his lips so he could kiss the place where the first rope he had bound her with had left burns and bruising. Rilan had healed them, and then were gone but Vaughn had also bound her tightly. It would at lest make it look like she was tired up, for when she returned home.
"I had meant to teach you why you should not tease a man, with offerings you did not intend to give him." He told her, answering her first question and ignoring the other. "As you can tell, I am still working on that lesson." He teased while letting go of her wrist.

Why had he kissed her then? He thought back to that day which felt like it had happened months ago rather then the oh so short days it had been. She had saw his trying to get the armor off and had walked up to him and slowly helped him. Even then he had known it was a trap but had not seen where it would lead him too. When she pulled the chainmail over his head she had turned and ran leaving him trapped. She had used every tool in her power then to trick him, and judging how it had worked for her again Alistair could only come to one of two conclusions . . .
He was a slow learner, or he had trouble learning from his mistakes.
He walked over to her and put his fingers under her chin to tilt her face up to his. "At the time I had thought it would teach you lesson. . . . I am still working on that." He teased her as he lowered his head to kiss her gently. He was speaking of the lesson not to tease a man with an offering she was not going to give him.
As for the other question, "Its a bit harder to get away from someone at that point. You best moves would be done when they are about to let you or or tie you up." He took her wrist in to his hands. "Here is a trick I learned the hard way, when someone bids your hands keep them turned and taunt. Bend your wrist out slightly, and try to hold firm as they get the rope tight." He turned her wrist and used his hands and fingers to mimic a rope around her. "When they are not looking let your wrist relax. The rope will be lose enough that you can wiggle out of it."

She crossed her arms over her and he wished that whoever had hurt her was here right now. They would end up just like the man who held a knife on her. Dead. The fact that a druid did this was (not surprising) but it angered him. He would find out soon enough who had done it.
He wanted to go over and hold her, but before he could she asked him about learning to fight. It was not hard to see she was frightened of this. Why had she said she had only saw her maid be put under a spell? Why had she not told him this before?
"Which time? The first time you ran or the first time you got away?" He asked. She had tried to run before they got into the river, and he had over powered her then; once they were out of the river, she had tired again and managed to get away for a while. He had tracked her, and then forced a kiss on her. Then he tired her and made her walk until she fell.
