He was right. He primary concern was never for Sasha. She could care less. “No, it was not,” she replied to him. “She is not a part of me. Never was, as far as I'm concerned.” She felt no regret saying this. To her, it felt completely normal. Then she heard Arthur's question.
“It was never about Sasha,” she told the Prince. “I never wanted he comfort of family. It may bring love, but then what do you think follows love? Pain.” She felt bad for Arthur, thinking that family was important. Maybe it was, but Delilah certainly couldn't see the point. Some said she'd stop and think... and regret what she had done someday. But until that happened, Delilah would just continue onward.
“Arthur, I was like this long before Sasha and Peter. There was no reason for me to stop then,” she faintly smiled at him. It was so true, why should she have stopped then? At least it made her forget about her own pain! “My mother had always told me to never trust men, that they were all traitors,” she furrowed her brows. “I didn't believe her. To be quite honest, I was just as blind as Sasha is.”
“Do you not think that there is anything sinister about men?” Delilah just couldn't understand them. They all seemed evil to her. Peter Tiberius, Uther Pendragon, his son Arthur... just, all of them. But she knew there was no use in asking a man. They'd try to come up with an excuse. “And don't come up with any pathetic excuses. I don't want to hear them.”

How was this possible. . .?? Sasha was alive?! But Delilah had made sure she was dead, or at least could not return! Uther was not there, so she did not have to fae any reactions. Why hadn't the guards restrained her?! "Sasha!" She advanced toward her and then gave a genuine smile. "You're alive. . ." Her mind had been feeling a bit more clear and less evil since the day she had cast a spell on the King, and so was strangely a it more friendly with her daughter. But then she caught the look in Sasha's eyes. It was something more than blank and cold. . . it was something that held fury in it. She could sense the fire ablaze in her daughter that very moment.
"What a pleasant surprise to see you here. . . alive," Delilah said with surprise, and also a bit of coldness. When Sasha threw down her single gauntlet in front of the Queen, she narrowed her eyes. As much as she was suddenly developing a thirst for bloodshed, she would refuse. Sasha was her daughter and that would give her a bad look in public if it reached someone's ears. "I refuse," she said simply. Sasha went on to calmly, yet furiously, threaten her that if Delilah did not pick it up that she would slice her where she stood.
Wait. . . did she not realize that for ONCE IN HER LIFE Delilah was refusing the chance to kill her?! Did she not respect that? Or even appreciate it?! Delilah gave a light chuckle. "You would never strike a defenseless woman," she smiled. Sasha narrowed her eyes brows and Delilah sighed, knowing just how serious the young woman was. "Then do so," she lifted her chin, as if to welcome her daughter's strike. She didn't believe Sasha had the guts to do it, though. . .
Suddenly, and to Delilah's satisfaction, the guards stormed into the throne room and grabbed Sasha tightly around the shoulders. They looked up at Delilah for a second, silently asking her permission. With an abrupt dip of her head, they obeyed her command and dragged Sasha out of the Throne Room. Instinctively, Lady Sasha tried to fight against them but despite her foolishness in returning to Camelot, she was no fool. She quit struggling, knowing she would never over power the guards. Delilah had everyone, even the King himself, believing that Sasha was a druid and traitor to Camelot. If Sasha had come here to kill the Queen, then she knew what would come next. . . or at least, once it reached the King's ears.

Delilah gave a very faint smirk when he gave his answer. "Oh really?" She began with a chuckle. "Well, then I guess you'll be glad to hear that she never knew I am of magic." Feeling her muscles suddenly un-knot, she calmed and a long sigh escaped her mouth. "To keep myself safe, I never told her. . ." Delilah thought about what she had just said, and then added with genuine realization. ". . . and I suppose it kept her safe, also." To be honest, she didn't care whether it kept Sasha safe or not. . . it was for the best that she never knew, because of something that she would not. . . no, could not tell anyone. That Sasha was a witch herself, and if it ever reached her ears she could very well over power Delilah. It was best that be avoided if possible.
Something was shifting in Delilah's emotions at this moment, and she felt the need to talk about the past. . . before Arthur or Sasha, or even her son Nicolae existed. "You know, I wasn't always like this," she said calmly. Delilah was referring to the obvious evil in her, that she just couldn't seem to move past. "I think t was a few years before Uther became King of Camelot. . . I'm not sure. I had a wonderful life in Caerleon. . . a son, a husband." Then she furrowed her brows and gave Arthur a cold look. "Until my husband betrayed me. He shared a love with another woman. I'm pretty sure that's what made me what I am today. . ." She finished, not mentioning the part where she ended his life out of a sorrowful rage. This was something that she hadn't thought about in a long time. . . or at least in such an intense way. She dug her nails into the stone earth to keep tears at bay. "You don't know how much I wish things could have stayed that way. It really was wonderful. . ." She added with a faint smile.

Delilah smirked with satisfaction as she saw Arthur become frozen. She couldn't expect him to be as happy as she was, but she had just performed a spell without any trouble or inconvenience at all. And just knowing that she had rendered the Prince utterly defenseless was too much for her. . . the pride that welled up inside of her was overwhelming. This was the same spell that she had cast on Sir Petronius -- better known as Peter -- before killing him.
"Perhaps this will end up a lesson for you in the future?" Delilah chuckled at the complete control she over him, walking over to the Prince. She made sure she studied him, quickly walking around him eventually coming up at his left side. When she said lesson, Delilah had meant that if he had fought her he probably would have won and the ordeal would have been over by now. But because he had not, he was now hers to taunt and toy with for however long she felt like it. The more she taunted him the faster her desire for his eventual death faded.
Delilah brushed her hand softly across the left side of his face, more so in a dominant way. It was just a way of expressing the control she had over him. She could do whatever she wanted and he could not do a thing to stop her. The feeling of control such as this was nice. . . nice, indeed. "How do you feel?" She asked calmly, a faint smile crossing her face. "You must feel so. . . helpless against me!" She added with a light chuckle. At least Delilah wasn't completely emotionless. . . she felt sorry that he had to feel so defenseless. She knew she wouldn't like the feeling herself. Then again, it was a plus for her because she had the upper hand in this encounter.
Delilah then became more serious and then began to stand about two feet away from him, kneeling down on her knees to watch him. After all, it wasn't like he'd be going anywhere. "So. . . I'm guessing you're wondering why my daughter never told you I was a witch?" She inquired seriously. Delilah only referred to Sasha as her daughter to possibly irritate him further, for she knew Arthur was beginning to despise her company.

"I don't get how I am," Delilah growled at him. Sasha was brave, and she might even admit that someday, but not in the sense of pain. If Delilah put her through agony, then there would be no doubt that she would at least cry. He was still hesitating, still trying to reach something in her. Not a person in the world could succeed in doing so, but she thought she'd play along for a little bit. Holding her sword slightly lower but still gripping the handle firmly in case he decided to attack her suddenly, she responded to his question.
"You never believe what I say, so why should I answer you?" She said calmly. She was referring to Sasha being a murderer, and a sorceress. Still, Delilah wanted to toy with him. . . and this was no way of doing so. "I have many things I plan to do. I'm not focused on Sasha only," she added. And then, something was set off inside her and she received a new idea. From what she knew, Arthur did not know how to fight someone with magic for he was powerless in that sense. Perhaps if she tried something that was magic, she could taunt him even more?
"You know something, Arthur?" she said calmly, and for once actually meant it softly. "You don't have to fight me. I know you'd be powerless against me." Then the calmness left her and she felt a surge of excitement. She lifted her right hand from her sword pointing it at Arthur, and gave a smirk at the Prince. "ácólae slæp!" she shouted at him. This spell that she had just cast on the Prince would cause him become motionless, and unable to move, sending him to ground perhaps so that she could toy with him properly. . . and it would also reveal that she was a witch.
Translation: "Become motionless!"

A young girl in with clothes of the druid folk walked in, to serve two dishes with fruit and venison. When the girl left, Nimueh continued. A slight smirk spreading across her face Delilah agreed, "That certainly is a tempting idea. . . and I agree with it completely. I will have to ask you just one thing." She paused quickly and then went on taking notice of Nimueh's last few words, "I will have to ask you to trick her, even though it sounds that you already have in the past. I think by now that she'd never trust a word I spoke." She was never going to speak of her failed attempt at killing her and the Prince as it was embarrassing, and unnecesary.
"Haha, I would also love to make her watch the Prince die at my hands," she smiled faintly. "Because the last time I spoke with her she had shown strong feelings for him. I just cannot miss out on something like that."
She would probably change the order of her plan; to cast a love spell on Uther, then kill. . . no, wait. To have Nimueh manipulate Sasha into betraying the Prince under the impression she'd be helping him, then kill the Prince. . . and finally Uther. She'd certainly deliver some of her torture methods on the King. She deserved the right to do so, the same as Nimueh deserved the right to deliver the final blow. "I cannot disagree that you deserve it most," she dipped her head in agreement. "I will deliver a few of my advanced torture methods, you will have the final blow. Feel free to do more to him if you'd like, I certainly don't mind."

Delilah saw her daughter make a run for it, placing her trust in the prince's advice. Knowing it was a fooliah thing to do in front of Arthur, she stood her ground and made no move to chase after Sasha. She would eventually catch up with her and finish the job after she took care of the Prince of Camelot. Though she would have much prefered her daughter watch her precious prince die before her eyes. . .
When Sasha was out of sight and hearing distance, Delilah turned her mocking glare back to the prince. "Well now, where were we?" She shot him a taunting smile. Now that Sasha was gone, she could concentrate on only one thing now; killing the prince. Trying to think of something to say, she looked around quickly and saw the tiny bright red berries that Sasha had refused to eat now lying crushed near Arthur's feet. "I must say you have a brave lady friend, Arthur." She said, a smirk growing across her face. "You see those yew berries crushed on the floor? Sasha refused to eat them right before you arrived and spoiled everything. And as most would know. . . yew berries are extremely poisonous." Oh, why did Arthur have to spoil that moment? Delilah would have been delighted to see her daughter's rapid death. "And death would occur so rapidly. . . that the symptoms are sometimes missed."
The witch silently chuckled. "What is my point?" She asked, knowing that he would ask something of the sort. "Nothing you would understand." Delilah knew that made no sense to him. "Listen, I see this will only end in bloodshed. And you must realize that also, for no matter what you say I will never back down." She growled, furious at him and hungry for shedding blood tonight. She looked down at her scabbard, and then whispered a spell quietly. So that Arthur would not know she was a witch just yet. But nothing happened. Frustrated, she repeated the spell a little louder and forcefully but Arthur still would not hear her. This time it worked, and she pulled a long silver sword from her scabbard, pointing it directly at the Prince. "My sword cries out for your blood," she began darkly, the usual smirk on her face. "Come! Step forward so that I may cut you down!"

"The first thing I was planning on doing was to kill my daughter, to make things a bit easier for us. I sense that if she ever found out she had magic she would try to muck up our plans and that's just a waste of time," she paused for a quick moment, and then went on, "I feel getting rid of the Prince next would be the best thing to do." She decided to let that sink in. Now where would Nimueh come in handy? As if she didn't know! It was time for her to realize that a mere love was not enough to kill the King. It could never be enough. "He knows exactly who I am, as I've tried before. Perhaps we could ambush the Prince at just the right time and run him through?"
Yes. . . oh, that wretched night. She had 'abducted' her daughter in an attempt to accomplish these ambitions herself, but that was one of her few mistakes. The Prince had found them and in short messed everything up. Even her magic had failed, and that was honestly the worst luck she had ever had to endure. Also something she would never say, or even show. And Delilah had thought she was lucky to have the opportunity to kill both of them in one night. So pathetic. "And if all is succesful, I had in mind something for Uther," she began, starting on the subject of Uther's demise. She was reluctant to do what she was about to explain, but if it would end the King's life it was certainly well worth the trouble. "I am willing to cast a love spell on the King. He's never met me. . . well, the real me anyway. After a little while, I would be pleased to lure him to a place of your choosing to carry out this long awaited deed." Delilah would have mentioned that she wanted to put Uther through some of her torture methods, but not yet. Now was not the right time to bring it up. She wanted Nimueh to just consider her plan in general, the deep details didn't matter.

Delilah made no change of expression when the Prince jumped in front of her daughter; just the same old smirk that usually scared others. She glared hotly at Sasha when she began to speak and break her silence. What did she mean by her "brave" words? Well, whatever. She did not know Delilah was a witch, who could very well kill both of them at the same time if she wanted to. "You stay out of this!" She hissed, giving her a stern and furious glare.
Delilah looked back to the Prince, and this time just gave him a creepy chuckle with an emotionless expression. "You have your sword, Arthur. Why not use it?" She began to smirk again, very amused by this. Delilah backed away very slowly, just to create a bit of distance between them. Spreading her arms out, as if tauntingly giving him a chance to strike her, she teased him, "Come on! Give it your best." A moment later, she gave him a devilish smirk. "Or are you too much of a coward to actually fight?"

Delilah dipped her head while a solemn expression played on her face. "I suppose it's fine if you endanger your own kingdom," she said without any trace of emotion. "It's not like I care." And she didn't care... she could care less about their well being; that's just how terrible she was. Delilah would have been a bit more friendlier if it were a woman who had stumbled into the cave... but not to a man. She would give anything to just kill the Prince right now, but not yet. It was so hard to fight the urge. . .
But she could of course do other things aside from killing the man. "If you interfere, I swear you'll regret it. . ." She threatened the Prince. "I don't care if Sasha means anything to you. She's a murderer, and I know I'm probably setting a bad example for myself... But I've longed for this moment since that night in the middle of winter when I saw Sasha kill Peter by the stream. He trusted her, and loved her as a father would a daughter... and I loved him." A blood lusting smirk appearing on her face. "But your friend stole everything from me!" She spat out the word 'everything' with anger. Delilah turned to Sasha and walked toward her, acting as if she were going to go ahead and kill her right there in front of him. Fully aware that he just might come at her. If he did, then that would be great. It would go accordingly to plan.

"Yes, you are right, I am wasting my time," Delilah agreed darkly, while a smirk of amusement grew on her face. "You would never believe bad of a woman you trust. You're too blind to see the obvious truth in my 'lies'." Delilah began to show a blank expression. She edged a little closer to Sasha and played with her knife noticeably, just to cruelly tease Arthur . . . and her daughter. But then she stopped noting that Arthur was enraged and was the one with the bigger weapon. That of course did not stop her from loving it. "And it's not like I can expect Sasha to give it away."
She completely ignored him when he urged her again to let Sasha go, but when he asked her what her motives were . . . interesting question, which would follow with a cruel answer. "Is it really that hard for you to guess?" She snapped at him irritably. "I need Sasha to pay with her life. I can only imagine how many false things she's said to you. Played it like she's innocent, lying straight to your face!" Her voice then grew deeper and a lot more rageful. "Sasha is the one who killed Sir Peter! That is why you could not find the one responsible. I was ignorant enough to hide her from your father, and leave Camelot. I regret that with all my soul now." She started to glare furiously at her daughter. "All I want is her gone. That is what my motives are. Then I'll be on my way . . ."
She didn't really think Arthur would so easily let her kill Sasha. And that was why if he gave her any sort of physical trouble, she'd kill him immediately. And if Sasha was watching, the better it would be for Delilah.

"It is a shame," she agreed with Nimueh. "In her earlier years I had hopes that she may follow in my footsteps, but the chances of that are unlikely." And that was the truth; she would have liked to have Sasha as a partner, doing some of her dirty work. Of course, Delilah did have a son whom possessed magic from both her and John... but she doubted he would ever forgive her for leaving him in the care of his maternal grandmother and killing his father. For one moment she felt a great pang of sympathy for him; for ruining many parts of his life. . . . No. It was all for the best. . . Was it not?
Delilah sort of wondered why Nimueh wanted to know her daughter's name -- of course not in an aggressive way. Just out of genuine, friendly curiosity. "Her name is Sasha," she answered.
That wasn't the case at all. It had sounded like it though, and that was because unfortunately Delilah sometimes didn't explain things the right way. She reminded herself that it was genetic. Even magic couldn't help it. Well, what Delilah had meant by always knowing Nimueh's desire for revenge was that she herself shared the emotion long before the Purge. Still, she'd let it go... as it wasn't a huge issue. After all, wasn't it obvious that she shared the feeling, anyway?
Delilah took a seat and watched as Nimueh did the same very soon after, and there started to explain her purpose for being at the Isle. "I have come to propose an alliance with you," Delilah spoke formally, adding a small tone of respect. "Against Uther. I myself have been truly considering assassinating him. Before I came here I'd thought of many different ways to go about it. But before I tell you the details. . . are you interested?" She ended the proposal. She felt the need to add, a slight smirk spreading across her face at the thought, "We can certainly make sure he suffers for what he's done to our kind." It was then that she remembered all the gruesome deaths that Uther had ordered. . . it felt as if something had caught in her throat just at the thought. She guessed it was similar to her desire for revenge on men, as strange as that sounded. But that was no excuse! More than ever she wanted the King dead. . . but even more so desired the Prince dead, because Uther's sorrow would be priceless. And offering Nimueh a chance to see that was something different. She did of course need Nimueh's help to reach her goals, though.

“She has magic, but she’s just like her father,” Delilah answered, a bit disappointment in her voice. Her daughter hadn’t even been part of her plan to kill Peter; that part had just... happened. Just as it had with John! She bore his son, and what did he do? He had an affair. She could never trust a man again after that. Although, Sasha had benefitted her plot. By her birth, Delilah was proving that she loved Peter... even if she did not. “That’s why she’s no use to me. She’s so obsessed with the Pendragons, sharing their hatred of magic.”
Delilah followed Nimueh inside, eventually reaching a nondescript wooden door that lead into the still intact part of the castle. Once she entered, she did have have to agree with Nimueh; it did look a lot better than the ruins outside. "I wish it weren't the only place where magic still rules," she said, half to herself. Sighing, she added, "I guess I've always understood your desire for revenge, but when the Purge started... I began to share it than to just simply understand it."

Delilah didn't know what Nimueh was thinking about her and her last husband; if she had, then there was an explanation. The only reason she had stayed with him... no, make that meet him in the first pace... was to fulfill her selfish cravings. Gain Peter's love and trust, and then smash it. It was nothing personal, but at the same time it was. Her first husband, the only man she could ever admit to loving, had had an affair soon after they married. Since then, Delilah hadn't dared trust a man for a minute. Instead of trusting them, she had sought comfort in killing them.
Delilah knew what Nimueh meant when she asked if Sasha was of her blood. "Yes, she is, but I avoided telling her," she answered the High Priestess' question. Nimueh would probably be wondering why, so she added, "She has shown great loyalty to Uther even as a child, and because of that would probably use it against me to protect his well being. It wasn't worth the trouble." Sasha had always been fascinated by the magic arts, but even with that her loyalty to the crown would never cease. Exactly Delilah's point! That was why she needed to get rid of Sasha, before she found out the truth. Uther hated magic -- as if that was hard to guess -- but it wouldn't stop Sasha from using it to protect the King and Prince even if it got her killed.
( I can't figure out why, but I seem to be stuck here... I can't exactly picture the scene, I guess. Can you have Nimueh lead her inside in your next post? )

"That is good to hear," she gave a friendly smile. Delilah knew that with the Great Purge and Uther's continuous hate for magic things couldn't be going well, but it was still good to hear. "I regret not leaving right when it happened. Even before Uther banned magic in Camelot I hadn't practiced it openly." Delilah explained, spitting the King's name out with disgust. "My husband had always felt threatened by magic, so I never let anyone know. I eventually got rid of him and fled with my daughter."
"Of course," Delilah nodded respectfully. "It would be an honour." When Nimueh motioned for Delilah walk up the wooden steps in front of her, she did so. This would indeed be an interesting night, and she couldn't wait to see how it played out.

"You would be surprised," the Lady Delilah growled, aggression starting to rise in her throat. "I can tell you straight out what she did, and whether you choose to believe it or not, it remains so." Yes, she would reveal Sasha's crime right here in front of the Prince. Delilah glanced at Sasha, only to see tension growing within her. If she could pull this off and at least make the Prince wonder even during denial, then that would be a good accomplishment. She didn't know how she'd kill Sasha without being run through by Arthur, so she'd have to try both of them... it was a big risk but at least she'd be able to use sorcery as a tactic. "Nothing different will come of settling things with you, Arthur," she gave him am angry look. As if he could see it through the darkness? "I will not waste my time with that."
"You think it's not as bad as a mother torturing and threatenng the life of her daughter? Well, maybe so. But I wanted it to remain the same amount of pain she's inflicted on me," she found herself raising her voice at the Prince a little bit, but she went on with a calmer voice. "You remember my husband? He served under your father as a Knight. And your father's men could not find his murderer. Do you want to know why?" Delilah's tone became darker and she turned her head exprectantly to her daughter, "Go ahead, Sasha. Tell him. Tell him who is responsible for your father's death."

"I would say about twenty years," Delilah answered enthusiastically. Again, she couldn't believe how fast time went. It felt like just the other day she had been twenty years old and now she was in her early forties. There wasn't really much she wanted to say just yet, as she would tell nimueh the serious things later. "It has been quite a while since our last meeting. Have you been faring well?"
"I have come to the Isle to discuss a few matters with you," she stated, a light serious expression appearing on her face but the enthusiasm of her tone unchanging. "I believe they may be of interest to you."

To come to think of it Delilah couldn't exactly call Nimueh a friend, closeness wise. But she did consider anyone who was similar to herself as no threat, unless she felt a bad vibe around them. Well anyway, enough about that. It didn't matter now. Delilah had a reason to come here other than just for a visit. The witch knew Nimueh to be the darkest sorceress in all of Albion. She didn't know about beyond the borders of Albion, but she doubted anyone could think up darker things than the High Priestess could. And that was the main reason she had come to the Isle; to seek an alliance. The two could possibly attempt at killing both the King and Prince... but before she took part in any of that, she'd kill off her daughter to ensure nothing was soiled.
The boat finally arrived at the landing, and wasted no time climbing onto land. There she saw Nimueh making her way down the steps to greet her. Honestly, Delilah was lost for words... if that was even a proper sentence. She didn't know a good way to greet the priestess, anyway. She waited for Nimueh to speak first, and hopefully not let this become an awkward moment.

Delilah's daughter, Sasha, had returned to Uther's kingdom and the witch had taken that as a cue to go back herself. But what did she intend to do once she arrived? It was all about skillfully lying and gaining false trust... and then finally murder and betrayal. Who would she kill? Delilah intended to assassinate the Prince first, just so she could enjoy the King's reaction. That evidence would be easy to hide, because the murder wouldn't be physical. And then, after a little while, she'd put Uther under a love spell and eventually... "take him out". How would she hide all of this evidence? Same way she did with Sir Peter and her unfaithful husband before... leave as quickly as possible and travel unceasingly. There would be no way the King's men would be able to track her down and arrest her if she was on the other side of Albion and travelling further by the day, right? And just so none of her plans were screwed up, she would get rid of Sasha first thing. You can never trust someone who isn't evil and has magic abilities.
Silent travels as always, and yet she would rather nothing else than to be alone. It was her thing. Unlike her daughter at least she had a horse to ride, so that there made it a little bit more enjoyable. Somehow, she found herself gazing out at the Valley of the Fallen Kings. Wait, she knew of this valley very well. Delilah knew that an old friend of hers resided across this valley and just beyond the White Mountains. She truly gave thought into this; it would be nice to pay Nimueh a visit, now wouldn't it? Especially after not seeing her for nearly 20 years. Where did the time go? Because 20 years is a long time... since the Great Purge that Uther had brought upon all magic users. She pushed that thought away, because it made her furious inside. It reminded her of why she was returning to Camelot in the first place, to finally kill him. She couldn't understand why no one had succeeded in doing so by now! After all, he was only human. It wasn't like he had magical powers.
She rode for a long time, finally reaching the lake. Delilah climbed down from her horse, tied it's reins to a thick branch, and to make things short used the boat at the dock to reach the Isle of the Blessed. Where she expected Nimueh to still reside.

Delilah swore under her breath when she heard the young man off to her side, at the mouth of the cave. She let her knife drop from her daughter's throat, and turned her head quickly to give the intruder a firey glare with her golden eyes. She could tell that he was dead serious when he spoke, as if that wasn't obvious in his stern voice. In a minor attempt to overestimate the young man she gave a creepy laugh. "Hmm. I would," she started. Of course, she had let Sasha go but there was no way she'd actually let her leave. "But you are wasting your time here, Arthur. I will never let her leave... alive, anyway." She chuckled at her little joke.
Delilah loved it when foolish young men like the Prince had no knowledge of her abilities. That also meant that if he tried anything, she'd put an end to his attempt of rescuing her daughter. No, she wouldn't kill him. She would save that for another time, when she'd enjoy it clearly. "I am not doing this for the reason you are suspecting," she said, a truthful and sorrowful look on her face. "It's for revenge. She... if only you knew what she's done..."
