âYou are clinging to what I have left...â

Aatos had been to almost every merchant's stalls, and yet, he had found no work. You would think that they would be looking for guards, considering the dangers outside of the wall. Over course there is danger inside the walls, considering their king is a completely obsessed with the annihilation of anything magical.
But Aatos was planning to stay for long, for him to meet the obsessive King. He find next merchant's caravan and leave town, hopefully for good. Aatos was walking over to the last of the merchant's he was going to meet, before he would retire to the inn he was staying at, and perhaps get a drink... or two.
âHello good sir..â Aatos began as he was looking at the corpulent merchant. His bulbous nose seemed to bulge out more then it was health too. âCan't you see we are closed.â The merchant said, his arm spreading out in front of him, towards the now empty stall. Aatos took a breath. âGood sir, it looks like you are packing up your stock, perhaps...â The merchant cut Aatos again, annoyed. âYes, yes. I'm planning to leave town, cut to the chase.â
Aatos took a breath, trying not to punch the aggravating merchant. âI was wondering if you are planning to hire any guards for your travels.â The man impatiently clicked his tongue. âI have no need for any guards, thank you. Now good night.â He said as he stormed out of his stall, and back into his wagon.
Aatos moved out of the way of the wagon, and watch it drive towards the gates. 'Why, that work Aatos. A couple more nights like this, and you will be broke.' Aatos mumbled something under his breath, and started to back to the inn, dishearten.
âWhile I forget in my exile. I'm free in my exile.â
