The day had started out mostly cleared skies, though come midday the wind had changed. By the time the afternoon came clouds had almost covered the sky. Where there had been once light, was quite dark and that ever gloomy feeling. Harriet packed up her stall in the midst of the City of Camelot, putting everything back in her cart. There was the coming storm in the air and Harriet didn't want to get caught in it. So she moved herself as quickly as she could, so best be home hopefully before it go too bad and soon she packed the last couple of items. Not moments before positioning herself on her cart did the first drops fell and then the wind began picking up. Blow the hem of her light coloured flowing dress meeting just mid calve and had a light cardigan to help keep the cold out. Her out and flowing in golden brown locks, began to be tossed around. As she descended upon the rather bumpy ride home.
Bit by bit the storm around Harriet picked up, the wind rattled upon the cart shaking it unsteadily and the rain began to get a little heavier. Falling in a couple directions all seeming to land upon Harriet. The road became muddy and slippery with the fine cart wheels. As Iris her horse pulled through it. As the trees rustled like crazy and soon the storm was building faster. Causing Harriet's heart to race. Trying to decide getting home faster be best or slow to be safer. As her concerned eyes looked around as she found herself damp and cold. Then came a snap and crash. A branch fell upon the road in front of them, causing Isis to spook and caused the cart lose a little traction towards the side of the road. Causing it to move into really heavy mud, the feeling of the wheel sinking as Harriet encouraged Iris to move, but the mare was already tired, wet and sore. The wheel had sunk so much the cart even tilted.
Harriet's heart raced, a little panicked she needed to get home and she didn't know how she was going to get out of this, but she would have to try. As Harriet almost fell out of the cart, feeling her feet almost sink into the ground, as the wind blew upon her face like crazy and the rain fall drowning Harriet to her toes. It felt like tiny little pins hitting every inch of her body. She looked around as the sky was getting even more gloomy. Before moving towards the wheel, realising there was little chance she could pull this free, but needed to try. Otherwise she'd have to leave it behind. Harriet then sunk to her knees in the mud and began to dig a little. Trying to be rid enough so it could pull free, but it was in so deep it was going to take some time. A top with the cold wind and rain. It made seeing difficult and caused even more mud. Feeling her entire body began to chill as her knees sank a little in the cold mud. After what felt like ages, Harriet retreated as her arms got to tired and she was just too cold. She was really going no where. Harriet stood trying to wipe her hands clean, but she was quite dirty every where, which the falling rain did wash a lot of it off. Soon realising how dark it had gotten as night was just around the corner. She really needed to be home, but she felt at ends with what to do. As she folded her arms trying to find warmth. Soon climbing back on the cart trying get a little warm, to catch her breath and try to decide what was best. As felt her entire body begin to shake a little. As she began to sob faintly, the tears mixed between the rain drops. Feeling utterly lost, but needing to get home. Tightening her arms and buried her head a little. Hearing nothing but the whistling of the wind banging on her ears. "It's ok Iris... Shhh... we'll find away.. I... I.. I'm sure." Isis was getting a little restless as Harriet whispered gently to the mare in hopes to calming her down as well as Harriet herself. Settling her head back down a little, feeling the chills run up crazily and trying to think. Pondering for another attempt in freeing the wheel or leaving the cart behind.

It had been a wonderful day in Camelot though Lancelot could not say his day have been good seeing as there was a threat against the kingdom. With his brothers they took off to fight the beast, it honestly did not take long as there were many of the knights and only one beast to be slain. Though the day started out nicely it was not ending well. The sky had opened up and seemed to drown the men as they road home. He shook his head for now he was not only tired, sweaty and dirty but he was now soaked and the cold winds sent chills down his spine. Being sweaty and having it cold was no fun match because it only made him shiver a little luckily for him he was a man of heat though his body heat could not compare to the icy whistling winds that danced around his flesh. Shaking it off he continued on his way patting his horse so he knew it would be ok. Lancelot kept his head slightly down trying to avoid the rain in his face and the wind trying to freeze it there. "So much for a sunny day..." He mumbled to himself.
Trying to keep himself thinking happy warm thoughts he headed down a different path as the other men, not that it really mattered seeing as they were on the lands of Camelot anyways but his path was longer. Moving quickly but safely he noticed something large and tilted in the distance with curiosity in his eyes he headed straight for it. Getting closer he saw that it was a cart, a girl, and a horse. He raised an eyebrow at the situation as he looked down upon her. "Are you ok My Lady?" His voice was kind but loud in order to hear over the wind that seemed to screaming instead of it's normal steady whistle. Lance dropped down off his horse only to land in some mud. Lifting his feet a little higher than normal to walk over to her so he would not sink like her cart. Lance walked around and examined the problem than headed back to the girl who was dirty and he could only guess it was from digging to get the wheel free. "Allow me to aid you in your time of need." It was a half question half statement, there was no way Lance would leave her here or leave the cart either, there were too many thieves and something that made one money was something that should not be left behind
"My name is Lancelot, what is yours?" He was trying to lighten the mood a little and hopefully make her feel more comfortable towards him, a lot of people did not mind seeing as he was a Knight but not everyone was the same and Lance wanted to make sure to cover all grounds whether they were needed or not. His bright red cloak flapped in the wind, as he got soaked to the bone his chain armor began to get heavier though Lance figured it was just the clothes that soaked up the water. Lance figured if he could get the wheel out of the large, deep mud puddle than he could hook his horse up to the cart as well and with two horses powering the thing they would be able to get her and the cart home safe and sound. It was something he would do even if it took him all night, he would take her home and come back to finish the job it need be. Though he hoped it would not seeing as the later it got the colder it got and the last thing he or anyone for that matter was to get sick. Tag: Harriet Bennett Note:Will make it pretty later!

The chill was getting caught under Harriet's breath as she rubbed her hands trying to breath out a little warm that could manage to stay even for a second. Felt the rain drops wetting her cheeks and every inch it could reach, the cart shielding most what it could as the wind blew mostly from behind and gently rocked the cart. Only to feel it almost sink a little more. 'There is no way. No way.' Harriet battered out silently from her lips. She didn't not like admitting defeat, but it was seemingly unlikely she would be able to pull this free. Just as Harriet muttered nonsense came a faint sound and then a voice. At first it had almost startled Harriet out of her skin, which had already tried to leave her. Looking up to see a man upon his horse, his kind voice seeping to cut through the wind and rain. Playing a gentle tune to her ears. Causing her lips to smile as she called her 'My Lady'. He was almost like an angel. A hero out of the dusk. Causing her cheeks to blush as she wasn't entirely sure how to answer that, but ok wasn't really close. Finding Harriet mostly shook her head. "I... I... I'm fine.. Mostly... It's my cart... I. It's not that bad. I.. don't think." Harriet said the words through faint chattering teeth and barely believed it through her chest, even less believed the cart was stuck badly. As she motioned to look at her hands, then perhaps it was a lack of strength she just didn't have.
Then as if an angel from high above he swooped off from his horse, almost godly and disappeared. To look at the problem Harriet imagined, felt a little bad she had stopped him in his tracks, this was not the best of times to be stuck on the road and she was sure he had planned to get back to where ever it was he was needed tonight. Mostly like a home. A family. If not home soon, they would be caused to worry and that ate a little at Harriet. For she was sure her mother was probably wondering where she was as well as Tor, if he had made it home. Oh, she hoped he did. There was no way to tell until she got home. Harriet breathed a sigh at the thought, before deciding whether to climb back out of the cart and help this brave fellow. Before she could aid her feet even an inch, he came by her cart. All wet and cold she could tell. Also catching the red of his cape. Felt the rattling of he heart, he was a knight and slightly smiled. Angel? Hero? God? She was close. Felt the blush rise through her cold cheeks at his words. Was pleased he was here to help, she knew he meant it in his words, but she couldn't help to still feel bad for this. Lending his aid when really he didn't have to and possibly risk his own health.
Before Harriet could speak a word as it took a little time with the cold, he spoke again. In such a ray of kindness, she was rather awed by it with the shear weight of the storm still battering at her cart door so to speak and she was left to admire him. Though felt the harsh swallow to see him in such conditions at her expense. Smiled at his name. Tilted her head slightly. As he seemingly left his title out of the mix, yet called her 'My Lady'. Harriet found that somehow endearing. "Harriet, my kind sir... Oh, Thank-you, but if it's any trouble I'm sure I can manage... I don't wish to hold you up from your family, they're probably waiting..." Harriet spoke gently with the shy blush to her cheeks. Felt her hands clutch a little to the seat either side of her legs. Smiled faintly through her words. Although with the faint look in Lancelot's eyes she already knew he had aimed to help and she couldn't be more grateful. She just had to speak to give him the chance if he really didn't want to be here, but he was maybe her only chance. Otherwise it was jetting back on horseback. Surely she could pull this cart free she peaked her head out at the thoughts. As her eyes rang doubt at the sight of the wheel buried much in the mud. Falling back into the cart and looked incredibly doubtful as she lent her head gently back.

Lance had looked over at her as she said she did not think it was that bad and he couldn't help but smile at her bravery from the situation. It was not that dangerous but still to be out in a night like this alone was no fun and if she would have been farther off in the distance than maybe it would have been different with the creatures and bandits but he did not wish to think of such a thing. "I will have you out of here in no time My Lady!" He smiled at her, his smile was bright and kind through the darkness of the night. Looking at her he noticed she was freezing to the bone and with that he pulled his arms up to his neck and with swift fingers he unclipped his cape from his body. Taking it off he held it out to her. Sliding it up on the cart carefully so it would not blow away. It may have been wet like the rest of him but it held heat nicely if one wrapped themselves in it. She had been through plenty now it was time for her to rest a little.
When she spoke her name his smile only grew wider "It is a pleasure to meet you Lady Harriet!" Lance bowed lightly for her. Lance was one to always show kindness to everyone even if they were not of high ranks he treated them as so especially the ladies because they were all wondrous and beautiful people and deserved the best from men. She also spoke of family and with a faint smile not wanting to upset her but he would not lie "I do not have any one waiting for me so do not feel you are keeping me from anything." He did not have any family to come home to so it really did not matter, Lance really had no one he was alone but that did not bother him. Lance looked around and saw that a branch was sitting in the middle of their way and a light had gone off in his head. An idea such a wonderful idea! With a nod of his head he headed off away from the cart, he went a slight ways away but he was still visible from the cart. Leaning over he grabbed the branch, it was bigger than it looked but he did have muscles and was able to pick it up. Tossing it over his shoulder he headed back to the cart.
Putting the branch down against the cart he walked over to his horse and pulled him towards the cart. "I have a plan, I will hook my horse to the cart and using the branch I will lift the wheel of your cart out of the mud and if you would ever be so kind to take the reins to get the horses moving. Two horses are always better than one!" Hopefully his plan would work, it sure did sound good in his head. Leaving the branch by the cart he carefully hooked his horse up to the cart that way when she pulled the reins it would effect both horses instead of just the one. After successfully hooking them up he headed back over to the the wheel and examined it carefully. The only way to get the branch in right would mean to dig a little. Lance dropped to his knees in the mud and with giant scoops he began to dig in the mud not caring that he was getting dirty, he was determined to get this cart out of it's predicament and get Harriet home safely. Bravery? Maybe it was bravery to some extent, but Harriet did not feel brave. If this was what it was. Trying to dial down in her head that this was fine. She was fine, but really she knew she wasn't. As she could barely feel her toes or really anything to the top of her head. Trying to wipe the water from her face and eyes, only to try and spot Lancelot better. As she was quite curled up where she sat, yet now as he offered his smiles, she felt safe. Safe knowing someone had sent her a guardian angel. She never dreamed of knights as a child nor princes, but she did dream of heroes. With a cape. As her eyes looked away from his cape twinkling to the sky with a smile. How was she to know, she thought shyly. Before looking back as her hero spoke and believed him, he had given her a ray of hope. "Thank-you." Harriet spoke very softly like a whisper, but from her heart, knowing he would risk everything now to save her own life. Felt a soft tear melt into her wet cheeks she caught with a finger as she smiled softly, as she almost relaxed at the thought, she was safe now. Harriet then fell a little motionless as Lancelot took off his hero cape and placed it beside her. Her eyes frowned a little in concern for himself, but ultimately touched he gave the gesture. It was a bit wet, but it was something. Harriet softly smiled as her fingers toyed to feel the cape beside her. Not knowing still if she was deserving of this kindness, though pleased it had been given.
As she fought a little about the guilt as her eyes looked upon it and her fingers toiled within the fabric. Lancelot spoke again. Feeling a inch of a soft smile escape a little joyous laughter in the abyss of a storm as he proudly spoke her name. The dream was always the well put together hero, they never showed there was a man behind it all. As it was very much real and he was real. Then he bowed, which Harriet smiled to see. Never had anyone shown her this kindness. She passed through the village half unnoticed, but he saw her. Maybe something more, she just couldn't see. All she was, was a daughter trying to keep her family together. Nothing overly special. Then she paused as Lancelot spoke, no one? Harriet suddenly felt a bit lonely for him. "Do they not live in Camelot?" Harriet asked kindly as she finally found the will as her hand took the cape in hand and slowly wrapped it around her shoulders, knowing it be unkind to refuse when now he was out there, cold and saving her life.
Felt her lips escape a slight relaxing moan as felt just a touch warmer, though as her eyes looked back Lancelot was gone. Then spotted him up a head as he tossed the branch over his shoulder. Harriet smiled and felt a joyed thud, watching as her hero save the day. All drowned, dirty and in the end he was a man, but so much more. As she curled insider the cape, bringing her knees up and resting her chin upon them. Her eyes just watching until he came back. Listened in awe as he spoke. His plan and Harriet suddenly knew he really was doing all he can to save her. Admired his mind unlike her own, truly believing his plan would work. Smiling as if he even needed to ask. "I certainly can... Just... ah... tell me when.. Of course, Sir Lancelot... My hero." Harriet beamed a little brighter knowing he was doing all he can and she wanted to least help in anyway she could. This she could do. As she uncurled her legs and her peaked her hands through the cape, to best take hold of the reins. Felt a tinge as she spoke his own name and called him her hero as she thought he couldn't hear as he turned and returned to the wheel... Listening out for the signal, though finding she couldn't really stop from peering out to check. Smiled softly to see him kneeling in the mud. No not the image she dreamed as a child, she laughed softly, but she wouldn't trade this. This was real as her head fell back into the cart, rested it against the cart wall behind. Feeling the rain battering down and the wind rocking the cart. The journey home for him won't be easy, least Harriet could do was offer him to stay the night and home cooked meal. As her mind then thought in silence of her family waiting, worried that she mightn't come home.

Lance saw her hesitate before taking the cape he had laid beside her, he wondered if she was not use to this kind of kindness which would make sense as to why she would hesitate but it did not bother him because she did take it in the end which was all that mattered. Lance wanted to keep her as warm as possible till he got her home where she could change into warm dry clothes. Lancelot had heard her say thank you though it was very soft and he had almost missed it. With a kind smile he dug deep into the dirt. "You are very welcome Lady Harriet." Lance couldn't help but think about her despite the state they were in there was just something about Harriet and he admired it a lot. She was different than a lot of other woman he had met so quiet and shy yet she was kind. Lance smiled to himself at his thoughts of Harriet.
Lancelot stuck his hands deep into the mud feeling for the wheel. Once his hand found the wheel he stuck his foot there so the mud would not just cover up his progress. He heard her speaking and he did not want to ignore her but she would understand seeing that he was just about to get the wheel. With his foot in place he reached over two dirty hands and grabbed the branch. Lance took a deep breath and with all his might he jammed the branch where his foot was but being quick to get his foot out of the way before impact. With a nod of his head he looked over at Harriet "Miss Harriet, I will answer any and all questions in just a moment. I hope you are ready!" Lancelot smiled up at her as he got a better grip upon the branch allowing himself to put full body weight into lifting this cart out of the mud. He was not Percival but he was still strong in both mind and body so he would be able to get through any situation as long as he believed he so.
Lancelot than pushed down as hard as he could and to his relief the cart lifted slowly out of the mud "Now Miss Harriet!" his words were breathless but stern and kind. He needed Harriet to get the horses moving and to pray that this would work. If not Lance was not entirely sure what he would do next but he would not stop trying until he has succeeded. When Lance succeeds he would be more than honored to answer all her questions while on the way to her home. He to had questions for her just to spark some conversation to keep their minds off the cold and rain though it may be slightly hard to do so seeing as the rain was fierce while the wind blew hard and were cruel to those it hit. But Lance would get through this with Miss Harriet and all will be well when they get her home and safe. Tag: Harriet Bennett Note:Will make it pretty later!

It was warm. It was very warm in need. Wet, but warm. Helping to keep the wind out at least and only fainting felt the rain hit it. Thick enough that inside was quite dry. Bringing the fabric to half bury her face for that moment. It also smelled good. Harriet was around a lot of smells as she cooked daily, she never got used to the homely smell and the cape reminded her of that. Harriet smiled softly at the thought, sure he wasn't reading her mind. Harriet softly laughed nervously and buried to hide her face a little more. Before she peaked through with a smile as he spoke. Feeling her toes curl somewhere underneath. At his kind words and his eyes. Softly laughed as he spoke her name again. She wasn't used to this, but couldn't help than to like it. Making her feel a little special. Though cut short and dry as what to speak. Feeling the need, but felt her tongue a little tied. "Return Soon." Was all she could manage from her soft voice, maybe once seated on the journey. As her mind suddenly trailed off at the thought. Before looking back realising he was gone. Right! She laughed at herself.
As her hands coiled a little around the reins at the ready. One hand then taking hold of the whip as well. She could do this. She had to. With all the efforts. The lengths he had gone and was still willing to take. She had to do this. Even if it was small. The last thing she needed was to make things harder or mess things up. She knew she couldn't if Lancelot was here to guide her. Harriet peaked as he spoke. Her cheeks blushing again at his words. Realising her mistake in asking him right. As she swallowed a little. Later. There be plenty of time. As her eyes looked up concerned at the surrounding weather, pondering it won't be a smooth journey, but together maybe it be worth it. Then felt the chill on her face and buried a little more into the cape. As she waited for his words. Looking again to see him deep in the mud, she was having a hard time not looking and just admiring the hero, the man he was.
Finally with one last look, he gave her the word. Retreating back in position with a smile. She was determined to make this work. Couldn't help half smile as he called her miss. Lady. She lightly shook her head amazingly, although was more move when he mostly said her name. Adding to it made it well something more, Harriet never thought she was. As Harriet then swiftly in motion ran the whip firmly over Iris, best lead and encourage Lancelot's horse. Usually she would be a little unwilling to be placing her mare so close to a stallion, but with the conditions, the horses were more wishing to be out of the storm. It took a couple of pushes. The jolt of the wheel moved slowly bit by bit, Harriet could feel. As she kept encouraging the horses. Iris was tired, but still determined to get home. The stallion helped with his strength and slowly the wheel pulled free. Harriet smiled brightly as they moved eventually broke through the mud. When she felt they were upon the road safely. She pulled on the reins to stop for the moment. As Harriet cheered in her mind and relaxed. The wind rocked the cart, but with Lancelot with his help she was sure now she could get out of anything. She suddenly brought up a joyous beam of laugh that they had succeeded. Well Lancelot, she barely did anything. As she looked out to find him. "Oh My Gosh... You did it... I... Just thank-you... Well... Um...Please! Please, sit. Get out of the cold... You must stay the night.. I.. I insist." Harriet beamed of the joy, still blushing in between as her eyes searched for him and her hand patted the seating. Knowing how cold he must truly be. All that freezing mud and wind, she felt upon her cheek now, but it was warmer up here. Insisting he stay once at her house. She just couldn't send him back out in this. No. After all he did. He must be hungry and needing of a bath. Tor was a little bigger, but she was sure they would do. Tor wouldn't miss them and with his own dream of being knight. Harriet wasn't so sure he would mind. She couldn't wait to see him and her mother. Sooner she got home, sooner there wouldn't be a search party. As the wind whistled on and the rain poured. Things still seemed suddenly a little brighter. Harriet smiled. Her Hero.

As the cart began to lift out of the mud Lancelot pushed harder down helping lift the wheel. It did not take long for it all to be pulled out of the mud, between himself, the horses and Harriet urging the beasts to move they made it out in record time. As the cart left the mud Lancelot fell to his knees, he was exhausted but he did it and that was all that mattered to him, with a triumph of a smile on his face he stood up and walked over to the cart whipping mud off of him as best as he could. Lance climbed up into the cart and rested his head, looking over at her he couldn't stop smiling, he just felt proud and they would soon be out of the cold and rain which would be wonderful really. "We did it Harriet! And now let us get you home!"
Lance looked himself over and it has seemed that he was soaked to the bone but not only was the water soaking through him but so was the mud he could feel it as it made his clothes stick to his skin, he couldn't help but be glad that he was done in the mud and as soon as he could clean it off the better. Lance remembered her earlier question about family not in Camelot... It is true they were not in Camelot. Lance had no one but did he really want to tell her that she seemed like such a sweet and happy person, something sad like that could ruin the now happy mood, though if she were to ask again he would be honest with her because Lance was no liar he had a high sense of right and wrong and well lying fell under the wrong. Pushing that thought from his mind he continued to be happy and just relax for soon they would be safely out of the harsh weather.
"Do you live far away My Lady?" Lance asked as he scooted over a bit not wanting to crowd Harriet or jump into her personal space. Despite the fact that he spent a lot of his time in the mud he was beginning to like the company Harriet provided she was shy sure but she was nice and very caring, she had the personality that Lance admired. It was a lot better than meeting one of those women who thought they were everything just because of this or that. Lance like the quiet shyness that came from Harriet. Smiling to himself he sat back and just enjoyed the ride as him and Harriet spoke and tried to stay warm enough till shelter came along. There came that all nice thud as Lancelot climbed her cart. She felt her heart ease just that little bit. Knowing he was out of the cold. The ran. The mud. She couldn't help the look she gave him, just a hint of amused and yet just utterly still admiring him. As Harriet took in his appearance. First thing. Soak him and his clothes in a bath. New clothes. Supper and a bed. As Harriet made her list in her head. Before she then just smiled back. Her cheeks were flushed as she took in his own and his words. Felt warmed when he spoke of we. In just his simple words still, he made her feel more. Even if she had felt utterly weak and barely did anything. With the notion of home, she couldn't agree more. "Lets..." Harriet gave him a soft expression. Motioning the cart forwards back along the path. The wind whistling, with cold and raining, but home was calling. Harriet beamed at the thought. As her eyes worried at the thought and rolled her lip between her teeth. Now that she was given time to worry, the quicker she wanted to get home, though feared for another accident. So she took it steady.
Just as Harriet's mind began to wander, her eyes lingered to Lancelot and softly shook her head. Watching him look over himself, cold and soaked. Yet didn't utter a word, but Harriet knew he was cold. Then keep her eyes still on the road. She unwrapped the cape. She wasn't overly one to ask for closed space, but after saving her life. She couldn't let him go cold. Not at her expense, having felt guilty for having taken his cape in the first place. He was the hero. The angel. Even they need taken care of every once in awhile. For even they can get lonely. As Harriet's eyes floated upon the road about his family. Felt her throat caught, there was nothing light about the surroundings, yet there was still hope. "I... Um. Please. It's a little warmer over here... Don't need our hero getting ill." Harriet offered as she voiced softly as Lancelot scooted but stopped short and knowing she has his cape. Her heart thudded nervously as opened up the cape. Harriet beamed him with a smile as she called him a hero. For that was what she saw. Even if he wasn't rightly put together, it did not tarnish his worth. As she blushed and her eyes made back to the road. "Its... Not too far... Just before we get to the nearest village... So, ah... Will you like to stay? It's no castle.. but... It's... It's Home. " Harriet kindly answered his question. Finding herself a little more comfortable after what he did, it was hard not to, but Harriet was still Harriet. As she sweetly with her blushing cheeks asked him to stay. As she imagined the castle he lived in was maybe hard to leave, but though it may seem simple. Her home was much everything to her. Least her family and the memories thus shared. Reassuring Lancelot that it was comfortable, warm and most of all dry. As Harriet then imagined the log fire, causing her toes to curl and the kitchen. Luckily she had stored some supplies, so it shouldn't be too tricky to make some supper. Then realising her head was trailing off in silence, and nervously smiled to Lancelot, before drawing her eyes away. She couldn't help it. She was just content with what she had. In all the hard work and little time she had for herself, she never complained. What more did she need?
Harriet's mind still couldn't stop going to the thoughts of her family. Her mother. She must be worried. Her brother. He generally would come looking for her, although maybe not if worried about mother. "I sure hope Tor made it home... " Harriet was use to simply talking to herself on her trips, there wasn't usually anyone else and realising she had spoken it out loud. Her thoughts. As her voice softly and worried, before blushing as she looked to Lancelot. Who probably didn't understand what she was mumbling about. "Generally he is the one bringing the storms." Harriet remarked a little happier as he had been given the nickname the bringer of rain, so he should be home she thought, but looking to the sky it generally wasn't this bad. No. This was something a little heavier. Little she could do until she got home. Her eyes then peered over at Lancelot. Reminding how he had no family waiting for him. Was he truly alone? "Lancelot, sir... I... You never did tell me about your family. Where your from?" Harriet nervously found the words as she sweetly asked about his family. Interested to know. Really how he was seeming so humbled. So kind. Yet so strong. Brave. Her belly fluttered. Remembering how he buried himself in the mud and really saved the day. She was curious to learn more about him, without over reaching.

Lancelot sat back as the horses made their way. It was a bumpy ride but relaxing, he was covered almost from head to toe in mud and now he was sitting upon a cart with a beautiful woman who looked almost just as soaked as he did. It didn't matter though he had saved the day and it made him feel good on the inside, it made him feel like a hero and she only stroked that side of his ego when she called him her hero it was nice to be honest. Lance was a Knight and this was why, he was there to save people and to help those in need it was not about the title or the money, this had been his dreams since he was a child and it came true so he would make the best out of it become better every day. Harriet spoke saying to let's get home and that made his body relax a little though he was still on guard encase something else happened it was stormy and dark who knew what might happen so it was best to keep eyes peeled and everything on alert.
After asked how far she lived she told him it was not too far and he nodded a bit. It may not be far but it was still going to be a slightly long ride seeing as they were not going very fast for a good reason of course. Lancelot did not mind he was enjoying Harriet's company though it was sad they had to meet like this. Than out of the blue she handed him back his red cape telling him it was warmer and he accepted it. He would not tell her no if it was something she wanted, not saying that he was not happy to have that little warmth the cape brought back to him. He worried for her he had a lot more items on than she and even if he was soaked to the bone a little more than her she was still important, his main priority and he wished for her to be well. "Thank you, but are you sure you do not wish to keep it for the ride?" He asked nicely gripping the cape in his finger tips willing to hand it right back over to Harriet if she so wished it.
"Who is Tor? If I may ask." Harriet had spoken of some man who was a rain bringer was it her husband, her father, her brother maybe. He did not mind as to who it was it just merely peeked his curiosity and so he had to ask it also helped with conversation on their way to her home. Harriet asked if he wanted to stay with her and normally he would just get them home safely and than be on his way but seeing as the sky was still raining and it was dark Lancelot thought it best if he did stay to ensure his own health and to possibly help with the clean up in the morning seeing as what ever was in this cart would surly be a wreck after the crash into the mud and the bumpy ride home. Things would have shifted fallen, broken. He did not know what was in it but it might need a little help plus the cart itself may need a little fixing and he would want to be there to help if possible so he accepted her invitation to in her home. "I think your home will be magnificent no matter the size" He smiled at her.
To be honest Lancelot was use to living in small places sometimes his home was the grass under a shady tree/ He was not of noble blood and he did not have the riches some possessed so he was grateful for anything good that came to him no matter the size. Thinking of home her question was brought back up and with a pang in his heart he answered her "I am from Camelot, I grew up in the lower parts. No I am not of Noble blood just noble." He let a small laugh leave his lips though it was not really funny it just helped him with the thoughts of his parents being gone and having no family. "I have no family, no mother, no father, siblings. Not a wife nor child. I never married and my family were taken from me long ago." There was a slight sadness to his voice but he tried to keep it from coming out. Lancelot did not want to sadden her with his story so that was all that he said. He had no one and he accepted that and as the years went on despite not having family he had the Knights which in a sense were kind of like family, they at least helped him not be completely alone.
