Guinevère could still remember the first time she had saw Camelot's castle. Hours away you could see the towers rising up into the sky like welcoming beacons of hope. Now she was looking into the sky, and trying to find that same hope. Trying to find the feeling that everything would be alright.
Hearing steps behind her, she turned her head to see Isolde coming up behind her, and Guinevère stood to greet one of her new found friends. "My brother is in Camelot." She told her, as a way of explaining herself. Though to be fair, Isolde wasn't blind and she knew very well that Guinevère was also struggling with her feelings for Arthur--who was not even speaking to her now. He had given her a hug, and the smallest ray of hope back in Eldor, though he had also admitted it was a moment's weakness.
She would go with them to find her brother, and see Arthur returned tot he throne. Then she would . . . . and then she would return to Eldor? Another village?

Isolde went about gathering firewood for their camp when she glanced up and noticed Guinevère standing in the distance, appearing reminiscent and disheartened. It made sense, considering all that had happened and what she had seen so far -- with the constant brief glances shared between Guinevère and Arthur, Isolde would be crushed herself if her situation was anything like theirs.
Placing the pile of wood on the ground, she walked over to Guinevère, nodding sadly when she was met with her words. "Don't worry, Gwen. We will rescue him from Morgana's rule, along with everyone else. All hope is not lost." She paused, hesitating on whether to broach what seemed to be a very sensitive topic for her. "And...you should not lose hope with Arthur either." Isolde put a hand on her shoulder, smiling warmly. "Love is a more powerful force than you know."

No, Isolde was not blind. Guinevère looked down at the ground for a moment, before looking back up at her new found friend. "I only worry about what Morgana has done to him." Elyan was a strong man, but she knew Morgana was full of hate, and bitterness. How sad that the girl she once saw as her sister--even a protector--was now the woman she feared.
Though the words that love was powerful made Guinevère want to cry. Isolde was in love her own self, and Guinevère wondered what her and Tristan had to over come to be this happy now. Or were they luck to have a simple life, and just be in love? "I see you and Tristan, and I believe you. He loves you very much." Like Arthur had once loved her. But she knew that her actions had ruined everything she had with Arthur, and unless he could forgive her then they would not be together. It was her own fault. "And it is easy to see how much you return that love."

Isolde nodded solemnly, recalling some of the horrible stories she had heard in the past. She had initially dismissed them as silly rumors, but now she was coming to believe that what those people spoke of was true. "Morgana is cruel indeed. But I do not believe any harm will come to him; it is Arthur she wants in the end. And I am confident that your brother is strong and brave, like you."
She could not help but smile at the mention of Tristan. "Yes, indeed. I am very lucky to have found someone as loving as he is." Seeing that Guinevère still harbored some doubt, she added, "The path of love is never smooth. There are always problems and hardships, but in the end, love truly does overcome all. Arthur loves you; that much is obvious. Obviously I do not know what has created this rift between the both of you, but I think he is having difficulty deciding what his heart wants.
"Tristan and I had a similar struggle when we first fell in love. Tristan rejected the idea of a partnership, believing that it would not be mutually beneficial. I did not trust him fully, and that brought us troubles as well. But, we realized in the end that our relationship was for the better. In the same way, Arthur will soon realize that. You are not only fit as his partner, but as his queen. He needs you as much as you need him."
