Arthur could not believe all that had happened in a matter of days! It all started with peace talks, and the development of a peace treaty . . . but oh how quickly things backfired. From someone putting him under a spell, to him delivering chicken to a woman's chambers in the middle of the night, to Gwen believing he was trying to woo her, to King Olaf challenging him to a duel to the death . . . to Gwen saving his life. Arthur -- even if he had not been in his right mind -- would not have been able to forgive himself if he had ruined the peace treaties that the five kingdoms had worked so hard to establish. He felt bad for Vivian, though hoped she would never return. His heart was still set on another, even if she could not accept that they were a possibility for a future . . . even if he shared those same doubts.
People were talking about the recent past events. Some thought it was funny, some thought Arthur was out of his mind, but at least no one died, and at least Olaf had left with peace in his heart. Now, he just had to deal with the aftermath of people talking about how he sneaked into Lady Vivian's chambers in the middle of the night and that they were caught in an intimate moment . . . by both their fathers! It was humiliating really, especially since Arthur didn't actually have any affection for that woman what so ever.
It was early in the morning and Arthur was out on the training arena. He was dressed in half his armor and already had his sword out. He did not get much sleep last night; he had far too much on his mind. Mostly, Guinevère. After their conversation, Arthur had a great deal to think about . . . and he wished that things had ended on a happier note. It was still taking over every thought, and so he would release his aggressions in practicing his swordsmanship. It was all he could do right now, since sleep did not find him easily.

There had been much been going on during the past few days. A treaty had been signed with five of the surrounding kingdoms. William had recently became a knight but he had been training for this his entire life. It has been his dream since a young boy be just like his father. Even though William was a knight he knew there was much more he needed to learn. Much more he needed to improve on. For years to come he would be training to improve every skill. And even add on to the many more skills he may acquire over the years. He was always eager to learn and improve as a knight. He stayed with the code of chivalry.
William had heard of what Prince Arthur had done. Hearing what others had thought of him. It was quiet unusual for their Prince to into the room of a lady and that of Lady Vivian as well as challenging her father King Olaf. Some thought he had lost his mind others thought of such events as being rather humorous. William personally did not see which was correct. It was quiet unlike their Prince to do such. Perhaps for a short amount of time he did lose his mind. To go into Lady Vivian's own chambers and to challenge a King. The events were over and therefore there was little reason to focus on such for to long. Though that would not stop others from talking about for some time to come. It was expected William supposed. The most important thing was King Olaf had left with peace he did not hold any ill grudges against Camelot for Prince Arthur's actions. There were many more important matters to pay attention at the moment rather than what had just occurred. The kingdom was at peace for the time being and William truly hoped it would remain that way for a long time to come. Though there were often attacks rather they be by beast or people. There was often something to be done.
It was early in the morning hours. William was off duty for the time being he had only a short few hours before he was on duty once more. However, even off duty William was aware of his surroundings. There was much to keep a watch out for everything. William was dressed with his armor upon him even off duty. William made his way to the training arena he tried to spend what little free time he could training. He knew for a fact there was still so much he could learn about. So much he needed to expand and improve on. He did what he could to prove his worth. He wanted nothing more than to prove himself to others his courage, his honor, his worth. There were many ways one could go about this but any time William had a chance to prove anything he often found himself doing just that. William paused for a moment seeing Prince Arthur in the training field. "Good morning Sire." William smiled politely bowing toward the Prince. He saw it very important to show the utmost respect to everyone and certainly to the royalties. Arthur was the leader of the knights and the Prince of Camelot he deserved nothing but the utmost respect. Despite the recent events that had taken place.

Arthur turned when he heard someone approach the arena, and furthermore, talk to him. Arthur did not really smile; he just nodded his head in acknowledgment and turned back to face forward, focusing on his sword. "Sir William," he said, further acknowledging his presence. William was the newest knight in Camelot's army. He, like any newly knighted noble, showed quite a bit of promise. Arthur was still getting to know him but he liked to became good friends with his men. Even though there was an instant trust bestowed in them as soon as they were knights, Arthur still always enjoyed their company. But today, it was a little different. He knew that William, just like anyone really, would not ridicule the prince to his face. Arthur however preferred that. He would rather someone say something to him directly rather than sneak a few comments behind his back.
He still did not look at Sir William. He gracefully began to move the sword around, working on his foot work and aim. "What brings you here at this hour of the morning?" He asked, wondering if his presence was requested somewhere. William didn't seem like he was in a rush, so it probably wasn't urgent. Still. Arthur was curious . . . or maybe he was just trying to make a bit of conversation so that they would not just stand here in silence right away./

William smiled slightly at Arthur's acknowledgement. He was very knew to knighthood but hoped to prove himself many times in the years to come. Or he hoped years. For the life of a knight was not always safe. There were often attacks to fight off. A dangerous yet honorable life it one he had chosen. One his father had. One he would hope to continue for some time to come. He wanted to be as grand if not better than his very father. He would do all he could to prove his worth to show he was worthy to be a knight of Camelot. That is what all knights strived for. They wanted to show their worth, their honor, their courage. And it was what William planned to do it was his goal. A goal he would achieve as was his goal of becoming a knight. He had succeed with this and knew he would achieve his goal of become a grand knight. William wondered briefly if Arthur wanted to be alone for the knight as he questioned why he was here.
"I thought I would practice, Sire, before I am needed elsewhere." William knew not if Arthur wanted to practice alone or not and of course he would be willing to leave. All that was needed was for the Prince to tell him to do so and he would without any hesitation. "But I can leave if you request."William added awaiting the Prince's reply. William wondered if recent events had troubled Prince Arthur. He was not entirely sure how he viewed such. He had heard such gossip as it was to be called. Never could one be certain if it was complete truth or not. He respected Arthur very much. He did not think he did something as badly as was told. Though he knew it had to hold some truth. But at the very least nothing more had come out of it. The five surrounding kingdoms still held the peace that the treaty had presented. That was all that mattered in the end William was certain. Everyone made mistakes he knew royalty was no different. Everyone had mistakes and regrets from the past. Though William was simply here to practice not worry about what the Prince had done. However, such may not happen if Arthur requested to be alone.

That was good. He was efficient. Then again, Arthur already knew that. If William had not had discipline or fortitude, then he would not have been able to pass his test bestowed on every nobleman who wished to enter knighthood. And just because the Prince was not in the best mood, he would not deprive him of an opportunity to practice. It was what was needed when the time came to defend Camelot. "Carry on," he told him, briefly looking at him before returning his gaze to his weapon. Arthur was going to have to put aside his irritated mood, for now would be a good opportunity to get to know his fellow knight.
"How have you been finding your days as a knight thus far?" His made his tone less authoritative for his question was more one that a friend asked a friend, rather than a prince ask someone below them. He wanted his men to feel comfortable around them. And talking to them like they were friends made this more successful than treating them like men who served him. They served Camelot, and so did he.

William smiled slightly with a bow of his head toward Arthur's words. He knew it was important to train though he would have left if Arthur had wanted him to. Though William was very pleased he was able to train. He was very knew to being a very knight but he had been training his entire life for this. He wanted to be the best there was. Though he knew he was far from that. William pulled out his sword a smile on his lips he was a good swordsman. It was what he excelled in among any weapon he used. He was quiet proud with how well he could handle a sword. Though everything else he would need to train and practice with to excel in everything as he wanted. William began with the basic moves of the sword. Warming up getting a good hold of the sword with simple moves. He kept his attention upon his training not letting anything distract from his focus.
Though the moment William heard Arthur's voice he stopped his attention coming to focus on the Prince. William placed his sword back upon the sheath. Allowing his eyes to now focus completely on the prince. Arthur's tone had been friendly and did not hold the authoritative tone as it would usually hold from Prince to knight. "I have been finding them very well, My Lord." William smiled he had been training for this his entire life. If he had not been able to get in he would have trained harder and much more to prove his worth. He often wanted to prove he was worthy to be a Knight of Camelot just as any knight should. He wanted to show his honor, courage, and worth to everyone. "I do hope to prove my worth you to you and Camelot." This was very true William trained every day with any free time he had. And always kept to the code of Knighthood doing everything he should. Being as chivalrous as he could be.
