What a shame that, even after all she had taught her, Morgana was not improving. It frustrated Morgause, but she was patient. There was no reason to resent slow progress. After all, her fellow priestesses would not have informed her of Morgana's existence had she not a great and powerful fate, and Morgause was determined that Morgana would not remain a novice for long. For months had Morgause been showing Morgana the extent of knowledge that could be gained if one was gifted enough, from demonstrating the power of scrying to the advantage of knowing how to revive a dead shade. The latter would have to come much later, for Morgause feared that, if Morgana were to attempt such a powerful spell with such unused magic, it would kill her.
However, Morgana was special. She was a natural seer, just like herself and their mother before them, but there was so much more in that power. Morgana's dreams were so much more vivid than Morgause's own, and, rather than feeling irrational jealousy, the elder sister was pleased that Morgana, at least, showed great potential.
The blonde sorceress waited patiently for Morgana's arrival. It was soon that she would attempt to teach Morgana how to conjure and correctly use a glamour. It was complicated magic, yes, but not nearly so complicated that Morgana could hurt herself. That was the only thing that would keep Morgause from pushing Morgana too far. Morgause, of course, had prepared for Morgana's arrival. In front of her was a cauldron, full of a strange purple liquid and bubbling with the heat of the flames. In her hands were two necklaces, made of steel chain with jade pendants. She had cast a glamour of her own over the hiding place, so that none but Morgana and herself would be able to detect it. There, she hoped Morgana would be able to progress.
