This was not the first time she had tasted death on the tip of her tongue. Slowly, she was dying, but that didn't mean that she wasn't aware of her surroundings at times. Uther had visited her on more than one occasion, and Gaius was always around, but of course no one was able to do anything. Honestly, she thought this was it -- surely she couldn't cheat death again, right? No, she didn't think it would be possible. Whenever she was able to, she listened out to most conversations which were usually muffled due to them not being around her. Well, all but one time. Uther was there this time. She could feel him. Her fingers twitched, and her eyes flickered as she tried to fight the urge to move, but that was all she was able to do.
[smear:#ffffff]Morgana is my daughter.[/smear:#ffffff:1] Those words hit her like a ton of bricks, and she continued to listen as he explained that possibility. Oh she was angry. No! She was infuriated. Though she was going to give him that chance to explain or at least tell her before she would think on her next move. Then she faded again, and the voices were just mere echoes.
Her eyes snapped open, and a gasp escaped her lips. Emerald hues flickered to all that was around her, and the first person she saw was Gaius. "Gaius how I--" She stopped what she was saying, letting the shock settle in. She tried to sit up, but she was still too weak to do so. It wasn't long until the news was sent out to both the King and the Prince. The Lady of Camelot was Alive.

Tag: Morgana Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur had nearly given up all hope. This was not the first time Morgana had been on the brink of death, but with each passing moment . . . it felt as if she was slipping further and further away. She was so incredibly strong though, so all Arthur could do was keep praying that that strength would pull her through the darkness. Silently begging her to keep fighting. To not give up. And to prove once again, that against all odds, she would come back. She would live. The irony of it all. They had spent so long looking for her and to lose her now? The mere thought was already causing Arthur's heart to break. What he wouldn't give for her to open his eyes. Wishing so desperately, that he could switch places with her. After everything she had been through . . . fate just seemed so cruel.
Arthur had been mourning, feeling so helpless, so powerless to do anything. He would fight an army for her but with an internal injury . . . what could he do? Nothing. And that made his pain turn into anger. Yet beating a dummy had done no good. So he just sat in his room, tears in his eyes as he could not bare to think of a life without his sister of heart in it. That was when a knock came and Arthur practically leapt to his feet. Gaius. With news that Arthur did not dare to believe. News . . . that almost seemed too good to be true. He did not stand around to question it. Instead, he rushed towards where she had been resting for so long -- too long.
When he walked through the doors, he saw her. Eyes open. Breath in her body. Relief did not even begin to cover it as his eyes slightly widened, hurrying to her side where he immediately sat on the stool next to the bed she lay upon. "Morgana," he said practically in disbelief. He wanted to hug her, wrap his arms around her, yet also knew that she must be weak from all she had endured. So he just took her hand, kissing the back of it before holding it to his forehead. "Thank god," he breathed in relief. There were no words of jest or teasing. Not in this moment. All he could feel was the joy that exploded within him in seeing her alive. In seeing that her strength had once again paid off; they would not lose her so easily.
