Vaughn was an EXTREMELY bad influence over Alistair.
Alistair wasn't sure how he was talking in to another kidnapping plan, but with all the money they had made from the last one Vaughn and SOMEHOW talked him into another on. Alistair just had ONE rule this time. NO PRINCESSES!
He thought back to his last kidnapping, which had only been completed now for a day. The princess was still here, most likely, and here he was doing this again. He did not want to do the noble sitting his time, and would not be if Vaughn was more trust worthy. Vaughn was more then villain type then Alistair, so in order to protect the girl they were kidnapping they were both going to watch her this time. Last time it had been Vaughn's job to get the money, and Alistair's job to Princess-sit. It had not gone to plan on his part, for he had started to feel things. More then he should for the people who were hunting down his blood kin.
When they set out to do it this time, Alistair told Vaughn to go into he castle and kidnap a noble woman. Anyone would do, as long as it was a noble. Alistair thought they were all same; all but his Princess anyway. So it would not matter who they took.
Alistair was in the stables, and had three of the prince's horses saddled and waiting. After his meeting with the young prince in the woods, were he lied to him about who he was, Alistair enjoyed stealing things from him in efforts to piss him off.
[I am not sure how I was talking into another kidnapping thread but Vaughn, Gwen . . . you've been tagged.]

Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.
Vaughn was indeed a bad influence over Alistair. But did he care? No. Tasks such as these were easier and more fun with multiple people. Last time, they had made a sufficient amount of money. Alistair dragged out the process far too long, but it did not matter to Vaughn since he did not have to be there for the duration of the plan. He got the money, they split it, all was well. And now, they could do the entire thing over again. He had managed to convince Alistair, only this time he would be the one grabbing the person.
He very discreetly worked it way into the city, his dark armor proving to be advantageous in this situation as it camouflaged well with the night. He strolled right in the city, looking around at someone, anyone, who could be classified as a noble. He knew that most of them were gone now, as yesterday had been the final official day of the festivities but he was relying on the possibility that some had stayed behind. He was looking at the entrance of the castle, devising a plan to get inside, past the guards, when he noticed a woman. She was walking out from the castle, but that was not what had caught his attention. She looked rather dressed up. Flowers in her hair, clean cut dress. She did not look like one of the wealthiest nobleman, but there was certainly potential. When she was far away enough from the guards he approached her. A crooked smile on his lips as he tried to appear as friendly as possible. "Good evening My Lady," he greeted, walking closer towards her, but not invading her personal space..........yet.

It had been a dram tic few days. Gwen was walking back to her home in the lower towns after helping Mogana prepare for bed. She was tired and she just wanted to get some sleep. She noticed the man approach her, but did not feel threatened, so she did not think to stop walking closer to him. He thought she was a lady, which told her he must not be from around here. Giving him an awkward smile she corrected him, "I am not a lady, I am Guinevère, the Lady Morgana's handmaid. Everyone calls me Gwen."
Everyone did call her Gwen, for Guinevère sounded to fancy for a simple maid. He stopped walking when she grew close enough to him, assuming he had only stopped her to ask a question; or maybe he even assumed she was a lady and wanted to make sure he was safe going wherever she was going. Not that he knew the truth he would either ask, or be on his way.

So she wasn't a noble? She did not seem to be lying. After all, what reason would she have to lie? He was merely a traveler, asking for her attention. And she did not look suspicious since she moved closer to him. At least he had other pieces of important information: her name, and her position in the castle. It was very close to that of Lady Morgana, someone Arthur knew to be the King's ward. Anyone would know such a thing had they been in Camelot long enough. "Well Gwen," he said, continuing to smile as best he could. "I was wondering if you would be so kind to help me." Vaughn did not want to move too much closer to her since he was not trying to be intimidating or creepy.
"My friend is injured and I need aid in moving him to a nearby physician. Could you assist me? I do not have time to find anyone else, and I really am in a bit of a hurry." He positioned himself to the side so it looked like he was in a rush, as he motioned to the woods. "He is not far," Vaughn added, trying not to scare her off.

Hi friend was hurt? He had approached lowly and spoke so casually. "If he is hurt we should not move him." She told him, "I know the Royal courts doctor! I shall go get him for you. You should go to your friend and keep him calm." She paused a moment, "Just stay out here, so you can show us the way to you friend."
She turned to run get Gaius, while wondering why the man was so calm about it. Perhaps his friend was not that injured? And why did he need her help moving him? It was not like she looked that strong and there were knights not far.

::vaughn:: Oh hell. This woman was eliminating any possibility of this happening without making a scene. When she turned to leave Vaughn rolled his eyes and quickly grabbed her, putting one hand across her mouth and the other around her to pull her back. He needed to do this as quickly and smoothly as possible before one of the guards noticed that he was kidnapping a woman. He began to move back, towards the dark forest where there would be better concealment. When they well hidden, without being too deep in the forest, Vaughn threw a bag over Gwen's head so that she could not see anything. He did not want her to know the direction of where they would be going.
"Cooperate and you will not get killed." His voice was blunt, firm, and yet there was a hint of amusement in it. He took out rope from a sack that he had in place for when they got her, and proceeded to die her hands together so that she could not struggle as much. Now all he needed to do was wait for Alistair to come with the horses and they could be on their way.
