** S E T T L E , D O W N , C I N D E R E L L A!>> k e e p , i t , t o g e t h e r <<-- your handsome fella will ride up sooner or later -- Amarante had just reached camelot. She had been traveling for some time now. Up till now she hadn't had any trouble with her family coming after her yet. Or rather her own mother than her father. Her father was probably locked in his room or somewhere within his castle, hiding from the world that needed him. Though he had never known Amerante's true feelings, she knew that he had cared for him deeply. Amerante let her head drop slightly as her golden hair seemed to fall into her face because of the thought that had just transpired through her head. She missed her father greatly, but she would never see him again.
Amerante took a deep breath and looked back up. She knew she couldn't let those thoughts stay in her head. If she did that, she wouldn't ever be able to move on. The girl knew this but it was still hard even thinking of it that way to let her father go. She was a royal, it was a part of her blood. The way she was living now, however, was far away from that. She looked like a poor little street girl now, her hair tangled and worn down pants and a shirt. She didn't really mind it all that much, though it was definitely something new to her.
Amarante walked calmly through the city. She looked around seeing the different townspeople and others going on with their daily schedule. She wondered if the man she had spoke to had ever been here before. She thought that maybe he had. For he had been completely right about all the people here. There were tons. Perhaps maybe she could make a better living here. One where she wasn't completely starving to death. She looked around before she found a small central area.
Maybe this would be the best place? She wasn't all that sure. To be honest, the girl was a little frightened about what she was going to do. She had never performed for a crowd the size of camelot before. Never, EVER. Ok.. maybe she had once but that was back in her old days as a royal. It had been a long time since then. Amerante took in a deep breath unsure if she was doing the right thing by coming here. She couldn't just do nothing though. If she did nothing, the man's advice for her would be down the drain. Much like the long travel it took to get here.
Amerante didn't feel any less scared though. She took in one last deep breath before she started to sing. She didn't know what song to start instead it just came out. A song she had been sung back when she was a royal. Her lullaby.
"Inviso sky Tell mihi quis operor vos see Just propinquus vestri eyes And exsequor is ut ratio polus es sparkling With starlight tonight That's quis EGO see Through vestri eyes I animadverto heavens Each vicis ut vos smile I audite vestri heartbeat Just vado in pro miles And repente EGO teneo vita est dignitas while That's quis EGO see Through vestri eyes"
Amerante was doing fine. She actually started to calm down while she let the words flow off her tongue. Just like before when she was home the sound of her voice made others stop what they were doing and look at her. She didn't notice them since she had closed her eyes at the beginning of the song.

Arthur had not done this for quite some time. He was just casually walking the streets of the city that he would one day rule. It was nice to be out, among the people, engaging in random conversation, and just getting a feel for the town. Such moments were rare, and prior to having a personal man servant that he had become close to -- closer than he cared to admit -- he would walk the streets with his small group of friends, or minions as some would refer to them as. But today . . . he was with Merlin. And the Prince surprisingly had no complaints about that, even if he vocalized otherwise.
It was a beautiful day and Arthur was in a rather jovial mood. He was dressed in his casual attire, with a long trench coat on top. He had -- as always -- his sword attached to him at his side, ready for any potential danger. He sincerely hoped there would be none today though; none to ruin his good mood. He was easily recognized in the city, so for those who noticed him wandering down the streets, lowered their heads in a respectful bow. This act was something the Prince was all too accustomed to, so he tended to ignore it, only sometimes giving a short nod of acknowledgment. He instead, conversed with his servant and friend.
As they continued to stroll through the streets, he was engaged in mocking and teasing with Merlin, and so took it a bit further by giving him a forceful push. Because Arthur had not really been paying attention to his surroundings -- and all the background noise of the busy streets blended together -- he had barley paid any attention to where he had pushed Merlin . . . until he took notice of it. He saw his servant collide into a young woman who had been entertaining the crowd with her musical voice. Arthur rolled his eyes at Merlin's clumsiness. Yes, he blamed Merlin for not being more balanced. And since a Prince did not often apologize to a commoner, Merlin would have the take the blame for it and apologize himself. Or at least, that was what Arthur assumed he was going to do. The singing abruptly stopped and Arthur just stared, about to witness the after math of his slightly abusive act.
[Hope its alright! Let me know if you prefer they all meet in a less . . . forceful way! hahaha and sorry about the delay in posting!]

Merlin had been walking beside Arthur, the man he now considered his friend. Like always, their conversation amongst each other consisted of jokes and insults -- Merlin more so than not -- and neither cared about those who might be watching. Of course, unlike before, he didn't take these insults to heart, at least most of them, and he knew most of the time the Prince didn't mean them, even though he would never reveal that. And he was certain that Arthur didn't mean them now.
As they walked, his attention was briefly caught off guard by a young woman, who appeared to be about his age, standing, singing something that he didn't understand. Didn't understand, but thought was beautiful. He completely ignored Arthur's mocking during these few seconds that he stared, entranced, at the woman. She didn't seem to be a noble... no, she appeared to be a commoner. But still, she held his attention, his eyes even sparkled a moment from admiration as he held his breath.
But when Arthur pushed him forcefully -- obviously still teasing and mocking him -- he stumbled forward and collided with the young woman. With the obvious clumsiness he was "skilled" at, he even managed to fall to his knees by slipping, his knees hitting the ground with a hard impact. Sparing a glance at Arthur behind him -- more of an exasperated "glare" really --, he sighed inwardly for looking, once again the fool. This was becoming too frequent!
He glanced back at the girl and opened his mouth to speak, but no words came forth. He felt himself growing red from embarrassment, and immediately closed his mouth, still kneeling. He wanted to blame Arthur -- it was his fault, after all! -- but there were people around and he didn't want to "embarrass" the Prince in front of them. In other words, he didn't want Arthur to make his life a living hell later. It was never quite a good thing, really, making him angry. Always ended up bad for Merlin. Stocks, extra chores, a completely grumpy prat of a Prince... he could go on!
Should he take the blame, though? Perhaps, perhaps not. This was a big choice he had to make right now -- okay, not really -- and he had to calculate it carefully -- really, he just needed to find his voice, as he couldn't think of what to say. Suddenly, as if in a sudden rush, Merlin stuttered out, "S-Sorry! I-I tripped! Arthur--" he paused, then, and turned a sharp, subtle glare on the Prince. "Arthur is a complete--" he stopped himself from saying "Prat", and said instead, "completely wonderful person. I just tripped."
Guess he would just take the blame...
