Morgana always found it incredible how men behaved. One minute, they could be laughing, punching each other in the arm and joking around, and the next, they'd be at one another's throats, swords drawn and ready to dive head first into the first breakable object in the room. That alone may not have been all that mystifying, but to then have those same twitchy men turn around in the following minutes and start the cycle all over again was what Morgana found truly a wonder. And the men of Camelot and Mercia were no exception.
After Lord Bayard had been released from the dungeons, and apologised to in that unique Kingly way Uther had, which didnt actually include the words 'Im sorry' or 'I was wrong', the peace treaty had finally been celebrated and Morgana suspected it would be a strong one. Especially if it could survive the imprisonment of the other Kingdom's leader. Now it was the afternoon of the following day, and Morgana was aimlessly wandering the corridoors of the castle. Bayard's men were scattered throughout, their numbers slightly more than before due to the arrival of the party from the forces which had been stationed outside the city.
She had heard from Gwen that the Princess of Mercia was among them, though she had yet to lay eyes on the young woman herself. No doubt she would get to meet her at the farewell feast that was planned for tonight, if not before. Uther after all, would be preoccupied with Bayard and, while she could expect no less than the usual banter with Arthur, Morgana would be primarily left with the princess during the festivities. Something about women taking care of women. Morgana liked to make sure Arthur was left hurting anytime he suggested that to her.

Albion was a land riddled with mystery and wonder. But its greatest treasure that it could bestow upon anyone was of life itself, through out the lands nature was one with Albion. Revealing the many wonderous colours of its creations from the tall but gentle trees, to the serene but quiet green grass and also to the might and pride of the distant mountains. However sometimes it can bare witness to one of the most horrible traits in history....war itself. Luckily war had been defeated by the very people that live on the very lands themselves.
Yes wars defeat was made possible by two kingdoms. The Kingdom of Camelot and the Kingdom of Mercia, long ago these mighty titans clashed and many lives were lost. But now a treaty had been forged between the two kings of both sides to end a war which nearly ravaged the beauty of Albion, despite the call to peace there were others who welcomed peace and those who loathed it.
King Bayard the ruler of Mercia had been framed for an attempt on King Uther’s life. Thus the treaty had been broken and war was about to brought back to life once more, learning about their uncle's capture Selena herself lead an army of well training knights towards Mercia to find out the truth about her uncle's capture.
During all of this Selena was incredibly worried. For one she knew her uncle very well and was surprised to learn about his attempt on King Uther's life. She was grateful to her uncle for raising her and her brother when their parents were killed, now he needed her more then ever. Just on the outskirts of Camelot itself the forces of Mercia began to gather around, with her brother currently out on patrol Selena had no choice but to help her uncle personally.
It was a tense moment but just while her fellow knights were preparing for battle Selena received a message saying that her uncle had been released. Her faith in her uncle was still strong and knew he was incapable of trying to restart the war between Camelot and Mercia, there was just no reason to do it. Being worried about her uncle Selena said "Knights of Mercia! Please remain here! I will seek out our King!".
Wasting little time Selena marched forwards towards Camelot itself which opened the main gate without any hesitation. As she marched onwards her mind was fixed on her uncle's well being, but it didn't take long until she found herself standing before the castle of Camelot itself. With a sigh of complete nervousness Selena entered the castle and was soon being escorted down the halls of the castle itself towards the throne room where her uncle currently was.
It was there she saw someone heading towards her. The guard behind her bowed in respect towards the person and knew it must have been someone very important for one of the knights to bow his head, showing her full cooperation Selena headed towards Morgana and gave her a curtsey of respect. Selena had only met the man known as Arthur but hadn't met any members of the royal family.
Lowering her head in respect Selena said "Greetings my lady! My name is Selena Fireheart I recently heard my uncle his majesty King Bayard was released from captivity. May I ask you why he was arrested? And is my uncle alright?"

Morgana hadn't been paying too much attention to where she was going, but she was snapped back to reality when guard and another person crossed her path. The guard bowed, as Morgana expected, but the woman she didnt know. When she too curtsied, Morgana tilted her head a little, eager to find out who this newcomer was. She didnt have to wait long as the lady went about introducing herself, along with announcing why she was there in Camelot. So this was the princess she had heard about. Well, Morgana had expected someone would come charging in to check that Lord Bayard wasnt drawn and quartered, and here they were it seemed.
"It is nice to meet you," she said finally, smiling in what she hoped was a welcoming manner. "I am the Lady Morgana. The King and Prince are with your Uncle Bayard in the great hall," she explained, gesturing back behind her a little where the hall was located. "There was a misunderstanding. A sorceress poisoned the chalice intended for Prince Arthur and then framed your Uncle for the crime. It seems to have all been sorted out though and we hope there are no hard feelings on your kingdom's part. King Uther simply needed to be certain."
Then her smile fell a little as she thought of Merlin, who was still recovering. "It was the Prince's manservant, Merlin, who discovered the poisoning, though he then drank from the chalice to prove it. When Arthur rode out to retrieve the antidote, he discovered the sorceress was the one who had actually set it all in motion. Lord Bayard was quite understanding and Merlin is recovering well."

It was such a huge relief to hear that her uncle was safe and sound. After all if anything happened to him that her brother would have assumed the throne and the treaty between Camelot and Mercia would have been broken, she loved her brother dearly but he can be abit stubborn sometimes. But at the same time it seemed kind of embarrassing rushing here to Camelot with an army in case her uncle was in trouble, still at least he would get an armed escort back to Mercia.
Deep down her heart was slowly calming itself down while her confidence was back to normal. Selena heard Morgana's kind words and immediately she let out a sigh of relief, her eyes slowly revealed her full relief, but she was stunned to learn what had actually happened. Sorcery played a big part in her uncle's imprisonment, but luckily this person called Merlin knew that this chalice was poisoned.
How did Merlin know that the chalice was poisoned? Perhaps he saw it being poisoned? All these questions and more filled her young mind. But all that mattered was that her uncle was fine and Merlin was going to be ok, in response to all this she bowed showing her gratitude towards Morgana and said" Lady Morgana its a pleasure to meet you as well. Thank you so much for telling me and I also apologise about bringing some of my people here, I am so grateful to you, to Merlin, Arthur and his majesty King Uther".
Her face showed a smile of relief but also of happiness. Her uncle had always been a good man and for him to completely understand the situation was not really surprising, still by freeing her uncle Selena owed Camelot a great deal and she hoped that someday she can aid Camelot. With a look of focus Selena bowed her head once again and said" Lady Morgana I can assure you if I know my uncle, the treaty between Camelot and Mercia will be stronger then ever. In the meantime what can I do to make it up to you my lady?"

Morgana waved away the apology about bringing all of those people with the princess. It was natural to be protective of those one cared about, she herself would have run Bayard through if he had in fact tried to poison Arthur. He was her brother in everything but blood and nobody would be safe if they hurt him while Morgana still drew breath. "There is no need to apologise. It was a simple misunderstandering. We are only glad there are no hard feelings and no-one was hurt," the lady replied, waving her hand in gesture. While she did not know Bayard personally, Morgana understood that he had family and people who cared for him, just as she did for Uther and Arthur, so it was no surprise to her to see the princess so relieved to find out he was alright.
She smiled and bid the guard, who was still hovering rather annoyingly, away before turning back to Selena. "While I assure you there is nothing to make up for, I know that the men will be in talks for the rest of the day and most of the night if I know King Uther," this was delivered with a small chuckle. "As such, I find myself lacking company and I have been meaning to take a walk through the gardens," Morgana explained, smile still in place. "If you are not enganged elsewhere, and if you do feel the need to correct whatever wrong you think you may have committed, I would welcome you if you would join me," she offered finally. "Having never been in Camelot I would be honoured to give you a tour."
And Morgana wasnt just being diplomatic, though she could be when called upon. She honestly would welcome the company of someone other than the guards who took it upon themselves to escort her everywhere in the last few days. Honestly, if someone wanted to kill her, which she highly doubted they would when Arthur made a much more promising target, the previous events a prime example, she doubted it would happen between her chambers and the hall. And Selena was a new face in Camelot. She could find out about her, and the castle servants would no doubt fill in the blanks by days end anyway. Might as well know the truth about her.

A huge relief swept itself across Selena's heart. The relationship between Mercia and Camelot was stronger then ever, but it was still embarrassing about what she had done and silently vowed never to do it again. But at least no one was killed and no reputation was tarnished, King Bayard himself was man of his word and a treaty with Camelot benefited not only himself but to his family and his people.
War costed both sides precious lives. But now both kingdoms were as close as brothers and to meet someone with a good heart like Arthur brought serenity and tranquillity to the soul of Mercia's princess. She didn't know Morgana that well since it was her first time meeting her but already she can tell that she had a good heart, but it remained to be seen if his majesty King Uther also had a good heart just like Prince Arthur and Lady Morgana.
With the situation put behind her she could finally relaxed and concentrate on enjoying the company of Camelot and to escort her uncle home. But if her brother had heard about it that there would probably be some teasing done by Alan, he was that kind of man however she loved and respected her brother. And soon Morgana's words were absorbed into Selena's heart and in response she said" Thank you for understanding my lady. I must admit though knowing my brother he'd be more then happy to tease me about this". She said with a little giggle.
But still it was only natural for Alan to do something like that. And now she was given a good opportunity to have a walk across the beautiful gardens of Camelot with Lady Morgana, Selena felt honoured by this and soon she smiled happily and said" I would like that very much my lady". That way she could get to know Morgana more however she did feel abit guilty as she had stayed in Camelot before. However she couldn’t turn down such a kind offer and deep down she was looking forward to knowing Morgana

Morgana knew how it felt to have a brother who loved to tease. Every chance he got, every tiny little tibit of information he could use against her, Arthur latched onto like a leech. It had always been that way. The worst of all had been the 'we shall never speak of it again' eyebrow incident. Arthur had imposed that rule, and that was only because she had knocked the stuffing right out of him. Literally. Her hand had hurt like nobody's business for the following day, but the black eye her 'brother' had sported far longer had been well worth it. It would have been even better had she been there to see him explain to the knights why he was injured. Even the stern talking to from Uther they'd recieved had been worth it.
Arthur had sworn, black and blue (ironic) that Morgana had attacked him viciously and that it was her fault. She had merely stood there, chin held high and when Uther had turned his gaze on her, she'd replied 'He made me cry, so I made him cry'. Gaius had been standing off to the side and she swore she almost, almost saw him chuckle. Uther had rubbed his nose, shaken his head, made them both swear not to fight or pick on each other again (like that was going to happen) and then sent them on their way. Outside the door they'd been snipping once again.
So, long story short, Morgana knew exactly how Selena felt. "Brother's are the bane of our existence are they not?" she replied, a grin tugging at her lips. Though no blood flowed between them, Arthur was in all other senses her brother. It was why they got on each other's nerves so much. Family was supposed to annoy you. Brought back to the matter at hand, Morgana smiled again and gestured to the corridor to begin heading towards the gardens. One foot in front of the other and all that. "Shall we?" she offered as she walked slowly, allowing Selena to join her.
