When the trees opened up and the castle walls were in view, Daae dropped her pack. She'd been walking since dawn and she would go no further. Perhaps it was cowardice, but she simply could not convince herself to finish the journey and cross the gate's threshold. The shadow cast by the white city seemed to stretch right up to where she was hidden at the tree line, dark and cold. Impossible, she knew, but that didn't stop the shiver that shook her slim frame. Walls. What an ugly invention. The idea of being closed in made Daae twitch but there was little choice.
What good was her skill if she couldn't sell it?
Her trip to the forest's edge was one she took as infrequently as possible. Daae would collect her trappings for trade and make the trek to Camelot, her hound loyal at her side. There were few professionals and merchants that dealt with the female hunter personally but she had carved herself a handful of loyal business connections that seemed willing to cater to her... oddities. There was a tanner and a baker that met her amid the trees. They left with skins or meat and she was left with supplies to last her until her next market day. Inconvenient, perhaps, but Daae would rather be slightly inconvenienced than shut in like a pig in a pen. How people lived in the city was a mystery to the woman, and one that she was perfectly content to remain so.
Turning her whisky-colored eyes to the sky, Daae marked the sun's position. It was not yet mid-day and her connections would not seek her out until well after the afternoon rush. There was nothing to do but wait and she settled in the grass beside her pack, an unusually cheerful grin brightening her expression. It was lovely out and the scowl that often seemed a permanent fixture on her young face was chased away by the soft sun, the sweet smelling grass, and the promise of a profitable day. "Beast? Come eat, you silly thing. Tar isteach agus é a fháil." Daae dug in her pack, searching for her dog's food and laying it out on the grass as the white wolfhound collapsed beside her, panting loudly.
There was nothing for the woman to do...
...but wait.

(Any specific time range this takes place? Just want to make sure before I mention anything that may or may not have happened yet.)
Alex figured his punishment could have been much worse. Although he still debated whether or not it was fair to punish hims for something that was out of his control such as the weather. He honestly did not think he could be blamed for a sudden rain shower that happened to soak the laundry his mother had asked him to take down later that day. However, upon hearing a short trip to the woods was all it would take to reenter her good graces, Alex figured it wasn't worth the long winded talk. So that is why instead of whiling away some time thinking up new ways to talk circles around the chef in the kitchens, Alex found himself looking for the hunter his step-father had needed to see. His step-father had sent him with goods to trade in return for meat that could be used around the bakery. Alex found himself grateful it wasn't that much to carry. He was used to carrying heavy loads from working in the castle kitchens, but he wasn't much in the mood to work today. That was why he had put off taking in the clothes to begin with. However, now with the sun out the day was turning out to be quite nice. Alex even found himself whistling as he headed toward his destination.
As Alex got closer, he realized he was unsure of what type of person to expect. His step-father had only said a hunter. With no specifics, Alex just hoped not many people were out and about in this particular area. It would be quite embarrassing indeed to go about introducing yourself unnecessarily. Although there had to be something different about whomever he was supposed to be looking for. Otherwise they could meet in the city like they did with most of the people who supplied the bakery with the goods necessary for them to run. Alex sincerely hoped the hunter had all of their limbs. Otherwise he was sure to stare and it would most likely be awkward for everyone involved. Whatever it was, Alex just knew he would end up chattering on as was his usual disposition. He hoped the hunter wouldn't mind. He was hate to ruin a perfectly good business transaction.
He saw the woman from a short distance away as he got near the top of a hill leading up to the tree line of the woods. He might have seen her earlier if she hadn't been sitting with a dog at her side. Her clothes easily marked her for a huntress and Alex let it dawn on him that this could possibly be who he was looking for. He waved cheerfully and payed n mind to the fact that he must look like an overgrown child. People were always telling him he still had a very boyish look to him. That and his good nature had people guess his age younger then his nineteen years.
"Hey, You the hunter?" Alex called as he neared. He let his stride carry him closer as he casually let the bag he had over his should swing down so it was in front of him. His sleeves were rolled up and the rough fabric of the bag scratched lightly against his skin as he tilted his head to take in the stranger. He hardly waited to hear a response before he spoke again. "Sorry my step-father couldn't come. I'm Alex, from the bakery. You are the hunter I'm supposed to meet, right? If your not then I'm real sorry for the inconvenience, and if you are then I have the goods right here."
