Guinevère had once been arrested for magic, and knew all too well the fears and dangers that went with anyone having to do with magic. She had been dropped at the king's feet, and he'd ordered her death with out a moment's thought while she begged for her life. Even now she could still feel the fear she had felt during those hours she waited to die.
It was why she was helping Morgana tend for the small druid boy, and why Morgana did not even have to ask Gwen to keep it all a secret. Anyone found harboring the child could be killed along with him, and she knew if they were caught she could loose everything. Still, he was only a child! Could could she not help him when he'd not done anything wrong?
Morgana had to go out to dine with Uther and the nobles, and Gwen had volunteered to stay behind and try to get him to eat something. She had gone to the kitchens to get some bread and a bit of meat before returning to the boy. She hoped that he would start feeling better soon, especially now that Gaius had come to help him. Slipping past the curtain she smiled down at him, "Hullo," She greeted before slowly dropping down to her knees and sitting the plate down near him.
"I brought you something to eat. It might make you feel better." As he had not said a word before, she did not really expect a reply, so she kept talking to fill the silence. "It's fresh, and good; you will like it. It was supposed to be on the table for the king's meal, but he will not notice a few bits missing. So when I tell you that this meal is fit for a king, know that I mean it."

It was only a day, had the boy's life strike a turn for the worse. In which he could say the day, had felt like years since he's stood hidden. It was only going to be a mere visit to Camelot for him and his Master. They both had none to harm, and none to fight, yet it seemed that the world and everyone in it was against them. Or the infamous Camelot's King, at least; where really he was defined as the whole world itself.
And how Mordred despised dearly the beloved ruler of the Kingdom right now, for a heart so little and eyes so small it was about impossible to explain the burning that flamed both of them. He had watched his Master, his guidance, and his watcher be murdered himself, and also feeling pains on his body that he never experienced before.
Yes, he hated Uther Pendragon even more now. For he was the one who murdered his kind, for he was the one who killed probably the only person who he'd actually grow close to. And it was also he who caused him a ill fugitive. The boy was still young, but the he understood one thing already. That this king had no heart. And if there was one Mordred wouldn't wait a second to stab it.
But now there was nothing Mordred could do, but to sit and wait behind the curtain's of a lady's chambers. He was left vulnerable, wounded and in sickness, things that he never liked himself in at all. And most importantly, he was also afraid. Afraid out of his mind if he'd seen the next day again, if he was executed, or dead of his infection. He was too young to die, as death was not his friend but only his enemy he's run away from so long now. No, it was not his time. And it wasn't going to be his time any soon. Mordred did not want to die. And he hoped everyone else, did not want the same. But for some reason he knew the girl Morgana, definitely was not going to let him.
Sitting weakly, while he heard a noise in the yonder across the room Mordred quickly perked up piercing his eyes right at the creator in which of the noise he heard. "Hullo," The woman he had seen not too long ago, began to speak. Watching her eyes and every movements Mordred only persisted his blank stare while the lady began to continue her talk. "I brought you something to eat. It might make you feel better."
Of course, Mordred couldn't deny he was hungry. After all, the flesh wound that infected him made him weak and it wasn't possible for him to live without something regaining him, if not the Physician's assistance helping him enough. Speaking nothing but saying everything, with his lips still clasped around his face tightly, Mordred slowly scowled a few times to the other then back at the plate full of food. Cringing a bit furrowing his brows at the word "king" he shrugged, silently picking little bit of pieces of the food in his mouth, gently. Well, she was useful that was for certain. And with that, he gave a unemotional gesture of thanks to her using eye contact [ or perhaps to him this was his own way of replying ], before quickly starting again to attain his health.

Guinevère watched him take the bread and found her self smiling at him. He looked up into her eyes for a short moment and she felt hope that he was not blocking her out. She'd heard stories of people who'd lost so much or had such a horrid memory that they shut everyone out; and just ignored everyone. Often times not sleeping nor eating enough to keep them healthy, much less alive!
So when the Druid child, took the bread she did smile down warmly at him. She still felt edgy, and the fear in the back of her mind--part of her wished Morgana and Merlin would find somewhere to take him quickly because of that fear--but she could turn her back on a child no easier then any of the others could. Should something happen to him, and it had been in her limited power to help him . . .
"The Lady Morgana is at supper, but she will be back up to her rooms in another hour or two." Depending on how things went below. She could not draw attention to her need to spent time in her rooms. "Merlin too if he can. He is serving the supper below."
Guinevère knew she might already know this, or that he might not need to know it but she often rambled or talked more then she should when nervous. The silence made her a bit nervous but the knowledge that the knights were still looking all over the castle for him also caused her to talk some. "Merlin serves the Prince." The one hunting for him, "He's a good man." . . . . "Merlin is." . . . . "Not that the prince isn't." . . . . "He is." . . . . "Most the time."
"He is very brave! And fights every well." Which might not be what you want to tell the child that he is hunting down. "Morgana bosses him around allot." He was save with her. Sort of. "Your safe here!" Somewhat.

Comfortless had Mordred been, with the faces of unknown beings surrounding him now and then, but the smile helped a little. Had he be the one to surrender easily? No. Had he been the one to call judgement quick? No. Had be been the one to be afraid? Perhaps so. Watching the one you loved die in front of you and standing in a position in which where you were playing hide and go seek with death, wasn't the best of news for a boy his age; no less Mordred for that matter. While he was a jewel untouched, there were starting to become scratches on his edges--And Mordred, never wanted to become imperfect.
Morgana. A sudden movement of his boring eyes had become diminished. Now goggling his pupils at the coffee-skinned woman taking a break from the meal, a somewhat child-like Mordred had come back again. It had been only several days that Mordred had met the ivory-skinned feature. Dressed in royalty, and sparkled with morality, Mordred never felt so close to someone he didn't know. A lady who always looked after him even when perishing was she there while he thought it was his last breathe. A struggle of words tried to come from his lips, but he shifted slightly before surprisingly replying, "She will be seeing me again too?" With a bright yet forceful voice that to some could feel intimidated.
Of course, it was obvious she was seeing him again. Either way she wanted or not, Mordred was in her room. But like I said, Mordred was still a kid and kids do hope for things that already known and when it came to Morgana it was un-explainable how much of a child could the boy actually be. Though, there are dark places in his heart Morgana ignited the small light that was damped located in his heart where Mordred was pleased, that finally someone had entered it. Noting the visit about Emrys, Mordred only shrugged in his mind, for he knew since they were allies it was only the destiny for Emrys to save him. Well, he didn't know that. But he was certain he'd come to help.
Speaking of Emrys, as Mordred stared, the woman had continued her persistent talking about him. He didn't know why she didn't just leave after giving his meal, but being so frightened Mordred could tolerate her speech in exchange for someone with him. Only scowling now when the older figure started to commence her voice about the Prince did Mordred start clenching his fists. He wasn't good. Anyone who was birthed of the devil himself was never good. He was searching for Mordred wanting to kill him because of nothing. While he bellowed and ate his five star food in his king-sized bed, a thousand innocent souls slept with him mourning. And he wanted Mordred next. And Mordred, never understood how Emrys could deal with such a man. As with his destiny, nothing will surpass when Uther is still in charge. Though, Mordred did not hate the Prince as much as he hated the King there was still...something telling him, wanting him to loathe him more. Like a voice, in his head, but Mordred didn't know how to speak back to it. "No." The boy said simply, with a frown. "He wants to kill me. He's never good."
Hoping she understood that he was talking about Arthur, the boy cringed hearing about the boastful skills that he had. Mordred didn't want to die. He's run from death for to long to die here! He was a strong and demeaning boy, but that never meant he wasn't allowed to fear. Because in a castle full of murder Mordred didn't know how he was going to get out; and though he wanted to stay longer with Morgana, time was of the essence and he needed to be pulled out of here quickly. An unsurprised look at the Morgana comment he smiled a bit darkly. Morgana. She was alot like him wasn't it? But with the sudden quote of ""Your safe here!" Mordred took a bit of his bread again looking down with his neutral look then looking back at the server herself. "Why are you doing this for me? "

"She will be seeing me again too?" Guinevère looked surprised that he wanted to see Morgana again but she didn't know why she was. If she thought about it for a moment, it made since. Morgana had been protective over him and shown him limitlessness kindness. She was also beautiful and strong. She could make you feel protected if she wanted too. "Yes, she just had to go down and share a meal with the king, so no one wondered why she stayed in her rooms so much." And came looking in here.
"Merlin is serving in my stead below, so I can be up here to make sure your safe and get something to eat." Guinevère looked down at her hands for a moment, trying not to let him see the lie in her eyes.
Not that she could protect him. She'd proved that she was nothing against even two guards. If they were caught then there would be no help for either of them. "No." She looked up at him, and paused for a moment. "He wants to kill me. He's never good." She could see why he would think that, for it seemed like when the prince followed his father's orders that many died. She wondered how she could give him some hope, something to cling too.
"Why are you doing this for me? " He seemed to give her the answer to her own ponderings. "Because your just a child." A child whom had done NOTHING wrong! "I was arrested and accused of witchcraft once." She admitted, the memories made her voice shake slightly but it held firm for the most bit; as she was not going to let one bad memory distory her life. "I was locked in the cell below, and they were going to . . . . " She didn't want to frighten him. He could imagine that they were going to do to her.
"But Merlin and Morgana believed in me. They convinced the prince that I was innocent and the three of them saved my life. . . . as we will do with yours. Morgana and Merlin are strong and very smart. They will think of something. You will see." She believed in them! "And in the end . . . the prince will do what is right." However her tone was not as sure of it's self as it had been with Morgana and Merlin. She didn't have faith in the prince like she did with them yet. He was proving to be strong and a good man--but he still followed the rules tot he letter.
