As all Knights are expected to be, Bowen Drachnea was born the third son of Lord Harold Drachnea and was, quite literally, the middle child. As such, he was rather forgotten when it came time to take stock of the family. His older brother, Daine, was heir apparant and brought up to be their father's image and excelled in politics. Nathaniel, the youngest brother, was the creative one, with a perchant for creating weaponry. That didnt leave much for Bowen in the middle, so he carved out his piece with those weapons and grew quite skilled.
In his twenty-second year he travelled to Camelot with the Lord Nigen, and the sons of Lord DeLayne, all four of them, in the hopes of being accepted into the Knights of the kingdom. Bowen had vowed he would not leave the city until he had accomplished this, but there was no need, as he charmed nearly everyone he met and proved himself quite skilled and worthy. He was knighted a few days later.
Bowen however was not really the smooth talker everyone percieved him to be. Behind closed doors, he has quite a vindictive personality and doesnt think much of women in general. By all means he is charming when he needs to be, but actually holds a rather low opinion of women in general, often referring to them in demeaning terms when with other men.
He was offended by the Lady Morgana's status and reverence when he came to Camelot and was thus inspired to prove to everyone that she was no better than the common whore's in the lower town and bragged about this plan to Lord Nigen, who hadn't been knighted. Unbeknownst to the Knight, Lady Morgana was actually quite enamoured with him and overheard this conversation.
Now her distress has been discovered by Prince Arthur, as well as the reason for it, and Sir Bowen had better watch his back for if there is one thing the Prince will not tolerate, it is the degredation of his beloved adoptive sister...
