Morgause had always known this day would come. The day she would stand triumphant, along with her beloved sister, and they would cast down the tyrant Uther, and take their revenge on the man who had caused the death of their parents. Gorlois may not have sired either of the girls, but he never treated them as anything but a loving father, and that was more than either of them had from their biological fathers. When Morgause had learned the truth of Morgana's father, she knew that it was something they could use to their advantage, and it had all worked out for them.
And now it was finally her chance to confront the man himself. As a child, he had always seemed so intimidating; the great King her father served, and then he became the tyrant King who had murdered her mother, and later, the uncaring King who had allowed her father to die. She had kept her distance for years, letting her rage and sorrow fester as her power swelled until she felt confident that the man she'd once feared was no longer a threat to her. She wasn't a scared little girl sneaking out of the city under the cover of darkness any longer.
She strode down the corridors to the dungeon where they were keeping the man in chains, at Morgana's insistence. Morgause hadn't disagreed, after all he had done, it was the least he deserved. Although she did disagree with keeping him alive. As long as he drew breath, he was a threat; but it was obvious this was not a topic to be broached lightly with her sister. She'd have to approach it with care. It did, however, afford her the opportunity to have a little chat with the man; one that was sorely overdue.
One of the guards opened the steel door for her, and she stepped inside the cell, her dark eyes seeking out the man in the dim cell. She did not turn when the door clanged shut behind her, instead looking at the man who had been the subject of all her hate for so many years. He seemed so small now. "How the mighty have fallen." If it wasn't one of them, it was the other. Mostly, aside from Nimueh, it had been either Morgana or the guards tormenting him, but now Morgause appeared to be ready to join in. The guards just taunted him physically and either tried kicking him or throwing rotten food and stones, but it was Nimueh and the sisters he worried about most. The three with magic. Nimueh had only talked when she had arrived, she had not used her magic against him, and he wasn't certain whether or not Morgana had magic. Morgause, however, was powerful, and he feared what she could do to him.
It was not surprising she'd hate him as much as Morgana. Both were close to Gorlois, and Morgause actually *was* his daughter. Besides, there was the matter of Vivienne, and what Uther had ordered with her. It had pained him greatly, given their history, but he'd felt he'd had no choice. He could not be seen as willing to bend the law. And besides, she'd likely try to use the truth about Morgana against him.
"I had little doubt you would appear eventually. That you would amuse yourself by tormenting me in some way."
Uther was trying not to show fear; he was a man who never showed fear. He wanted to show nothing that implied submission or cowardice, so he kept his head high, glaring at her.
"It is you who are the cause of all of this. You poison Morgana's mind, turning her against me!"he snarled."She will be free! If I cannot, Arthur will. I have not fallen, I am still the king. And you will be made to pay for this. My son will not stop until he has freed me."

Morgause wasn't sure if she would hurt Uther or just leave him to rot in his own dungeon; she knew she wanted to confront him. He would never be able to right all the wrongs he had done with simple words, and the only way to pay for all the blood he had spilled was with blood of his own, but she needed to look the man in the eye. To see him broken and bloodied and know that he was powerless, before they made him repay his debts.
She remained silent as he bit out his retorts, merely raising her eyebrows and keeping her expression neutral. "Torment you? Is that what you think this is about?" She gave a hollow laugh, flipping a curly blonde tendril of hair back over her shoulder. "You turned her against yourself. You've no one to blame for any of this but yourself." She responded levelly, unwilling to lose her temper...not yet, at least. "Don't forget that I am who I am because of you." Because of all he had done and all he had taken.
"As for my dear sister...she is already free, and this is her choice. If I had my way, you would be dead already. It is only because she wishes to see you suffer that you yet draw breath." Morgause wasn't sure that truly was Morgana's reason for keeping him alive, but she would never admit otherwise to him. "You turned her against yourself, when you outlawed her kind. When you executed her mother. And when you sent her father to his death. The harvest has finally come, Uther, and it is time that you reap what you have so callously sown."
