It was times like these, that honestly, Clarissa thought even herself quite barking mad. Breaking into Camelot’s castle, probably not the brightest idea in the world, but then again, where was the fun in being boring and safe? At the very least, she should have disguised herself as a servant girl, but that required wearing a skirt, and that was not very practically, not even putting it on over her pants and boots. So there she was, lurking in the shadows of the hallways and in corners, holding her breath every turn as she made her way to the guess wing. A fine Lord and Lady were staying there: Lord Niro Moriarty of Balor and his lady friend Lady Arabella Hunter of Kent. Clarissa had no quarrels of course with them personally, but it was what they stood for deemed the problem. All of these Lord and Ladies, not once has she met a fine one yet, they all annoyed to her to an extent with their parties and jewels.
Granted, Clarissa had been from Willowshire, it was a very small town, but no means was it poor though. It held itself up quite nicely since it was surrounded by the woods, they strived on fire wood in the winter and their lushy green fields in the spring. To say Clarissa Lockwood had come from a bad background would have been a lie, her father was a knight of Lyonesse, a very respectable one at that, she did not believe her mother even worked any more. No, she would have been quite fine in life if it were not for her father taking her to the kingdom for a visit. Along her ways, she saw the lower lands, people starving and barely getting by with what they had, and come there to the capital of Lyonesse, and Clarissa found herself staring at their darling Princess Vivian sitting in gold practically with some of the most expensive dresses and jewels that she had ever seen.
People say the gods appointed the ruling family, but if that had been the case, why on earth would they have ever wanted a family so…spoiled? Her father unknownly, started her on her pathway to become the Princess of Thieves, a title that Clarissa enjoyed very much. So it was very much because of her father, and dare she say it, even Lady Vivian, that she found herself slowly pushing the door open to the guest bed room now, allowing her brown eyes to peer in. Nobody was there, pushing the door open fully now, Clarissa stepped in and closed the door behind her before allowing her strides to carry her across the room and towards the cupboards, opening them up one by one before finally finding the box in which she was looking for. Grabbing it, she brought it over to her bed side table and opened it up, a happy grin crossing her face now as she started at what was inside.
The Hunter family of Kent had the oddest crest in the world: it was an ox. Why on earth they chose that animal, Clarissa would never be certain, but she couldn’t complain seeing as they had the money that she wished to steal, melt down, and then give it away. Inside the box, was a gigantic solid gold ox, but even greater was the fact that it was wrapped around a gigantic egg of emerald made her even more happy, “So…the tales are true,” she murmured to herself just as the door swung open, “Hey, what on earth do you think you’re doing?!” Came a shrill voice now, brown eyes glancing up quickly to see both Arebella of Kent and Niro Moriarty standing there in the door way, looking absolutely dumbfounded. She shut the box quickly and threw it into a sack over her shoulder, “Leaving,” she said with a grin as the two nobles lunged forward, but she simply danced out of their way, and sprinted out the door.
Oh, how the halls were alive with the sound of guards. She could hear their metal sounds hammering all around as they started to chase after her. If only there was an open window around here, she could probably just pop out with the spare rope that she had tied around her belt. There were yells, somebody was calling the knights. Great, knights, they were never fun to deal with. Especially Camelot’s knights, they were all so bold and noble, and sometimes, rather hard to get under the skin of. Not to mention, Clarissa only found herself armed with her bow and a dagger, hardly the weaponry she should want in a castle. She rounded the corner of a hallway now and into a little corner, pressing herself up against the wall and waited. There were feet passing her by, she could hear them talking, all heading towards the great door. Lovely, well, she would not be heading that way it seems, either way, Clarissa found herself needing to by her time at the moment, the guards seemed to be endless passing by that hallway.
Finally though, silence came but she still waited a moment longer. The hallway just had to be clear now, now she just had to get to her appropriate exit, which clearly, was not the main doors. Stepping out, Clarissa rounded the corner, glancing over her shoulder to make sure that nobody was coming back when she crashed right into somebody and bounced back a little, the weight of the golden ox throwing her off balance completely and Clarissa through her hand out to catch herself as she fell on bum. Amber eyes glanced up now, hardly thrilled at who she has just run into, but of course, that did not mean that he was not nice to look at, “Ah, Sir Leon Griffiths, how charming it is to finally get to meet you,” Clarissa commented now, a cocky grin on her face.

Everyone morning was the same. Wake up, having something quick for breakfast, down to train the knights early before the sun was even up, then morning patrol are handed out. After that it’s up to the Grand Hall in the castle to get the daily reports. The reports are mostly on how the city’s doing, trade, if there’s any reports of problems from the other line villages and lastly how the crops are doing. This takes up most of the morning and some of the afternoon. Once done with the reports it’s done it’s off to train the knights once again, and give out the nightly patrols. The rest of the night if up to him, he can either have a few drinks at the pub with the other knights or spend the rest of his nights in his chambers, reading a book or just standing there staring out the window. And it all started again the same in the morning and it never changed. Well it did change once and awhile there was many times during the years that things happened in Camelot. The city could get eventful, there was always something going on in Camelot, most of the time it had to do with magical beasts.
But this morning had been different; when Leon was on his way to give the reports to the King he had been stopped by the King. He told him that he wanted Leon and a few other knights to guard their new guests in Camelot. Of course the knight would do anything the King asked of him and he accepted. Of course he would still have to do his other duties, so he would be busy, which meant little sleep and little to eat. It’s not he wasn’t use to this he had gone nights without sleeping before. He nodded to the King and went on his way. He finished up all the things he needed to do and went to the pub to have a drink before he headed out.
The walk from the lower town back to the castle wasn’t far and it wasn’t dark out. He had left the patrol duties up to Sir Orrick knowing well that the knight would be able to do it well Leon was on duty with Iowan and Robert. Leon trusted the two so he knew that Robert would be able to cover one hallway by the guest chambers and Iowan would stay with Leon and cover the door and the main hallway. The castle hallways were too busy and the knights were always watching people as they walked, to see if there was anyone who looked out of place. When night fall was slowly coming, the number of people were dieing down in the hallways and they almost seemed bare beside the knights that were there guarding them. He just hoped that Sir Orrick had put some guard outside in the courtyard to cover that side of the chambers. If anything were to go wrong, Leon would be listening and watching, he wasn’t going to let anyone or anything get pass him.
There were many different guests in the castle, and at the time something had been stolen from the one lord and ladys room. Leon and the other had been guarding another important Lords room. So when sound bells went off, Leon told Robert and Iowan to stay there as he raced with the other guards and knights that where heading towards the room. Leon ran as fast as he could towards the room. Once he got there, he listened to the Lord and Lady. He needed to know what this person looked like and what they had taken from the room. It wasn’t common for people to break into noble’s room and steal thing with value.
Now all hell was breaking lose, guards and knights were running around everywhere trying to find the person that had stole the ox, so the Lord had called it. Funny some of the nobles crest. But he shook his head from these thoughts as he rounded the corner. He had to keep an eye out everyone, because he didn’t know where this person might be hiding or where they went. He wasn’t even looking when someone ran into them. They stumbled back and landed on the floor, Leon looked down at them, at the moment Leon was towering right over them. He looked them over and noticed the bag over their shoulder. Was this the person who had stolen the Ox. Sure looked like this
“You must be the one causing all the trouble”.
From the looks of it, it was the person that the Lord had given him. Leon had a pretty good eye. He kept an eye on them when they spoke his name. . Well they seemed to know his name, another thing that wasn’t common; most people knew who he was. I mean he was the second in command to the army. His hand went to the hilt of his sword and looked down at her. I mean if they knew his name, then he wanted to know the name of the person he could have to lock up.
“You know my name, but it’s unfair for me to not know yours”

Usually, she was much cleverer than this in which she did not run into knights. Clarissa wasn’t sure as to how this exactly happened when she looked back on the few minutes that had just happened. One would think that knights, especially second in command, would make so much more noise with their chainmail and swooshy capes. But there she was, sitting on the floor as her gaze was glancing up towards the man before her. How he towered over her, but she decided it was simply because she was on the ground, that or the people of Camelot just did not give him enough credit when it came to his height. He was looking her over at het moment, certainly not in a crude way though, but Clarissa didn’t move, perhaps if she didn’t move, he might not even notice her, although, this was Leon Griffith’s, and things never seemed to work that way, granted, if they did, her living as the Princess of Thieves might be a little more boring.
“You must be the one causing all the trouble,” he stated now. Darn it, and here she thought she might have had him beat. Clarissa did nothing more than shrug her shoulders and twist her lip slightly as she glanced away for a second, “Oh, I wouldn’t say that I was causing any trouble at all,” she replied back. After all, they were simply over reacting, besides, the lord and lady that she had just stolen from had enough money of their own. If the young woman had had her men with her, she might had gotten away with more, but of course, the ox was the primary concern. Big and heavy, it certainly slowed down her usual agility and flexibleness, if it weren’t for the ox, she probably would not be finding herself on the ground at the moment. Amber eyes gazed past the knight for a moment, pondering how she could get around him. No doubt, he would not be slow, and she certainly did not have her speed to give her an advantage.
If only she were a rabbit, then she could flee right through his legs and then down the hall. But she was not a rabbit, not a full fledge one at least even if she did relate to the noble animal on more than one characteristic. Either way, going towards the great entrance was completely out of the question, or no doubt she would get driven there by her new found friend here. It would be foolish though to allow that to happen, Clarissa would have to buy her time then and look for an opening to dart around him, or until she got desperate enough to try such a thing. Trying to start conversation though, the young woman had called him by his name, although, perhaps the reaction that had happened was not one that she had intended as amber eyes watched his hand rest on top of the hilt of his sword now. Heaving a heavy sigh, she simply shook her head slightly, “Now, Sir Leon, or well, can I just call you Leon since I don’t think we’re in a situation for formalities…but I hardly think that sword is necessary. I am a girl after all.”
She hoped that would convince him, usually it worked quite well. After all, men didn’t like to think that they could get beaten by the likes of a girl. It was just simply unheard of in the knight’s code, their private code at least only known to men, “You know my name, but it’s unfair for me to not know yours,” Leon stated now. Clarissa just stared at him for a moment: he didn’t know who she was? It was certainly not something that she liked to hear, “What on earth? You cannot be serious,” the young woman stated now, frustration clearly ringing out, “You know, I am feared in most of the kingdoms in Albion, or at least, they curse my name whenever I outwit them, and yet in Camelot, nobody here ever seems to know my name. I am a legend in my own right for Albion,” she ranted now, almost forgetting that she was talking to the Second in Command, not just some man in a bar. Shaking her head, Clarissa could not help but to mutter to herself, “Unbelievable.”
Perhaps he was simply asking for he had yet to see her WANTED poster, although, they truly did mess up her nose in that picture. Maybe he did not recognize her, then again, being second in command and so busy with Prince Arthur and his merriment, perhaps Sir Leon here didn’t even know what a woman was. After all, the possibilities were endless. Amber eyes gazed back up at the knight now, meeting his gaze, “I am Clarissa Lockwood, Princess of Thieves,” she said with her usual, overconfident grin, “And don’t you forget it.”
occ; Oh noes, it was quite lovely. It didn't feel rushed at all =)

Most of the time when a knight did walk there chainmail would make a huge noise. Chainmail was little in a sense but on the other hand since there was so much of it; it tended to make more noise than should when a knight would walk. Not only that but their capes were long and also tended to flow back and forth when they walked or ran, which too in its once sense made way to make noise. So had does one sneak up on an enemy when they make so much noise. Most of the time they didn’t, but if you were well trained and had years to master it, then you had no problem running around with armour that made huge noise. You would think because of Leon’s size that he would in fact make noise, but he was in fact pretty light on his feet. But that had taken many years to master, and lots of hard work for him to be able to move with making a lot of noise.
He just stood there watching her, the whole thing where were no words spoken. He was making sure she didn’t think to up and try and make a break for it past him. She could try and get past him, it maybe work and it may not work, for all Leon knew this women could out smart him and get away with whatever she had stolen from the Lord that was having a huge fit over. Most nobles were like that. Well higher up nobles, knights were nobles in a sense too but there were other nobles that were higher up on the titles then knights, and they were pretty much all the same. Gold, gold, gold and more gold. He had seen some of the ways they treated people and Leon didn’t always approve, but there was nothing he could do, he had to follow order and listens to these nobles. He raised an eyebrow, “Really now, it seems as though it has caused quite a trouble” Well at least that’s how the Lord seemed when Leon got to his chambers to find out what was going on. Really to him it didn’t matter. I mean she hadn’t stolen from Camelot itself, nor had she stole from the King so to him it shouldn’t be his problem. For all he knew she could have something against the nobles, they were not from around here, so maybe they had brought it upon themselves and had brought the trouble along with them to Camelot. Even thought they might be guests in Camelot, didn’t mean that they should bring their troubles with them here. It wasn’t like Camelot had there own worries and troubles to deal with every day, now it was this. And maybe she had her own reasons for stealing the piece from the nobles, who he to know what was her actions really were. He couldn’t judge right away, maybe if he found out a bit more he would bring himself to make a judge. One he might regret, but if it was for a good cause, could the knight say no? It wasn’t like him to do that. Not all things were bad, and if just pieced everything together, he would judge which action he would need to take.“Ah but you might not be just a normal girl”.His hand didn’t leave the hilt; he would not remove it till he knew how much a threat she really was.
As a knight, Leon had a code to follow. Protect the people, no matter who they might be. Wither it was women, or young children. He would not hurt her in else he felt like she was a major threat to either him, Camelot or the royals. But as of right now, he didn’t see a threat, but that could change so he had to keep an eye on her and wait to see what would happen. Most men didn’t like the idea of being beat by a women, Leon thought that women should have a change to learn how to fight like any other man. They to may never know when they might have to protect themselves or others around them. Though he wouldn’t like to get beat by this women, if it did happen then so be it, he would just not speak of it to anyone. He raised his eyebrow again when she got angry that he didn’t know her name. Maybe he had and just couldn’t put a face to name, or maybe he hadn’t. As he listened he thought about it. In the last few weeks there had been reports from other kingdoms about nobles having things stolen from them, but really they didn’t do much about it. It was up to the kingdoms to deal with their own problems.
Camelot dealt with its own problems not any others, so this was why Leon hadn’t heard her name, nor seen any wanted posters of her, but he hadn’t been out of the castle for days, and really he didn’t get much time outside the castle in else it was something very important. Most of his days where made around the prince or the King. And Leon wasn’t a women type of man, he didn’t have time for women in his busy lifestyle, he didn’t even have time to breathe! And now the name was out there and known to the knight. Oh he wouldn’t be forgetting that name, trust him, he had to remember names and faces. He grinned, “Princess of Thieves you say? Well I’ll keep that in mind”. And he would, just in case he might deal with her again. Now to the point at hand, if she handed back the ox with no troubles then he would send her on her merry way, but if not, then well the knight didn’t know, he wanted to find out a little more before he made up his mind. “If you hand over the ox, we can call it a day, and you walk out of here with no troubles”. The castle would have been full of knights and guards by now.
