"Apologies, I will not use titles when we are alone." Arthur didn't want her to feel the need to apologize, though he knew she was far too polite not to. It was clear that she was brought up to be the perfect princess -- from what he had seen so far -- and for that, he was grateful. Glad that his wife was a decent, and modest woman. For it could have been just as likely to be trapped in a marriage with someone he did not get along with, nor held a connection with. "Even in public, you can." Only here. Though at least not saying it when they were alone was a start. Perhaps they could go from there. "You especially don't have to say it while we lay together." Yes; especially not then. He wanted to hear her say his name; his and no other. Not something so formal and general like Sire.

He wanted to hear his own name uttered from her lips; a vocal sign that it was his actions causing enough pleasure in her to say his name out loud. "I may be king, but I am your husband first." He was her husband before he was her king. That was the way he saw it. Despite his own dysfunctional family, he wanted to build his own. Guinevère was his chance to do that; his only chance really. He had brothers of heart but she was his legal family. He wanted to have a good and solid relationship with his wife. He wanted to have children with her. He wanted to build a family surrounded by affection -- something that he had not had while growing up. So yes. He was king of Camelot, but he wanted her to feel comfortable enough to just call him Arthur.

Guinevère watched him for a moment, and thought again how unlike any noble man she knew, that her husband was. She had been told of his skill in battles, and seen proof of that as he is king--but then he was gentle. She had been told of the men he trained to follow all orders at eery moment--yet he showed her kindness and gave her a change to escape her wedding night. So many rumors, and none of them seemed to fit the man whom was beside her. A man who was born of noble parents, but did not behave as noble men should.

Oddly, she found she liked it so far.

"Arthur, then." She concluded but knew it might take her time to adjust to being so casual with a man whom was not her brother, nor father. "My brother calls me Gwen." She offered, so he would know she wanted to extend the same offer to him. That he did not have to speak to her with formal titles. That she wanted them to be close as well.

"My brother calls me Gwen." Gwen. It was a cute little nickname . . . though Arthur really liked her full name. The elegance of it and the way it flowed off the tongue. It seemed to suit her perfectly . . . but he also knew that by his request, he was encouraging informality between them, so perhaps he should try to meet her half way. Now whether she was offering out of politeness or if she truly wanted him to call her that had yet to be determined. So why not find out. "Would you prefer I call you that as oppose to Guinevère?" He asked, obviously going to go with her preference.

Even if it would take some getting used to. He supposed it was in a similar way she would need to grow used to just calling him by his first name -- especially in bed. "It is a beautiful name. For an even more beautiful woman." Why not offer flattery now where it was due? They had just spent the night solidifying their union of marriage, and his words were no lie. Had be not thought her so exquisite, he wouldn't have said anything at all. Nor would he have been aroused so quickly.

Arthur asked her which she rather and she wondered why he asked her that, and if he rather not call her something like Gwen. "I enjoy either." She told him diplomatically. She liked Gwen, but if he felt it wasn't proper she would not ask it of him. His hand was still on her leg, and she found herself still too aware of it, and her thinking was not quite as clear as she hoped.

Then he gave her a compliment, and her face turned pink again, causing her to turn her head to look away for a moment. He did not need to flatter her, but she found she almost liked it from him. Looking back at him, she shifted slightly to grow more comfortable and it caused his hand to move an inch higher. Her own hand moved to cover his for a moment, as if she wasn't sure if she should push it away or keep letting his touch steal her thoughts. " . . . . . . " She almost said something but paused before her face turning a darker pink, almost red in her cheeks when she did manage to speak, "I did not expect kindness," From tonight really, but also from him in general. "Thank you."
