So the Prince wanted to be treated like everyone else... Somehow Merlin didn't think that would quite be what he expected, but hey, mind as well let him learn that for himself. Not like he'd listen to him anyway, what with his mind made up and all. So it seemed he was determined to live among the common folk for a few days. He would need somewhere to stay, though. Staying at the castle wouldn't work. But he couldn't just stay anywhere, either. He really didn't want him to stay with him at Gaius', that didn't seem too good of an idea, and he wasn't sure if Gaius would be up for it.
So he would turn to the only other person he felt they could trust, let alone be able to handle the Prince. Guinevère. She had her home to herself, now, so no one except her could say no. He was really hoping that he could talk her into it and she would agree. It couldn't be postponed, Arthur had to go on a hunting trip for a creature with the body of a lion, the wings of an eagle, and the face of a bear, after all. That thought brought an amused grin to his face.
It was getting late in the evening, but Merlin walked to her house anyway. He was trying to figure out the best way to convince her to let Arthur stay in her house for a while. He wondered how hard it could be. Maybe Arthur would be polite, he was trying to pretend to be normal after all, so maybe he would respect that fact. That would be nice, that was for sure.
So lost in these thoughts he was, that he actually knocked on her door instead of barging in like usual.
