Recent events had been rather... colorful, really. After all, while foraging around in the forest, he had been attacked by some kind of mythical creature. Thankfully, someone else just happened to be there, a man named Lancelot, and saved his life. Not only that, but Merlin had learned that Lancelot wanted to be a Knight of Camelot. Well great, right? Not exactly... There was a bit of a problem. Merlin full-heartedly believed that Lancelot deserved to be a Knight. From everything he had learned of him so far, he seemed to fit the ideals of a Knight.
The First Code of Camelot said otherwise, however. The Knights were supposed to be Noblemen, created by Uther to protect the kingdom from its enemies. Truly Merlin thought the whole thing was rubbish and completely unfair. He doubted Arthur and the King would agree though, so he had to do something about it. He wasn't going to let Lancelot's effort and dream come to an end.
No, he was going to fake it.
How was he going to fake it? Well he had a whole plan set out in his head. He needed a seal of nobility, and he only had until tomorrow to work it all out. He could easily get the seal, he knew a spell that would help. But he needed someone who could be his "accomplice" and help outfit Lancelot like the knight he really is. And that would be Guinevère, the best Seamstress in all of Camelot.
With a confident gait in his step, Merlin walked up to her house and walked right on in. When did he ever learn to knock, after all? "Gwen?" he called out, shutting the door behind him.
