Guinevère was in the kitchens for the moment. She was talking to the chief while he made Morgana a plate for a late supper. Gwen was smiling and laughing at the older man's silly jokes and jest. He was a friendly sort and it felt good to relax around others.
Once it was done, Gwen took the plate and began walking to the dinning room. It had been a few weeks since she had been kidnapped and everything seemed to be calming down, (even Uther's anger at Arthur for going to save her). Gwen hoped everything would return to normal soon, but at the moment a visiting princess and her parents were staying in the castle, so Uther was making sure everything was perfect for their guest.
Gwen opened the servants doors the the dinning room and froze for a moment, shocked to see Arthur there with Morgana. She had not really be 'avoiding' Arthur, but nor had she been around when he was. "Lady Morgana, I have your supper, here."

Arthur had been in a strange mood ever since he returned from the little rescue mission. His father was furious -- Arthur was just thankful he didn't get sent to the dungeon again -- and a royal family was visiting, and Arthur -- as always -- was obligated to show the princess around Camelot. But none of this was of Arthur's primary concern. His mind rested on the thought of a servant girl, though she was not just a servant to him. His mind was constantly distracted, especially when talking to the visiting princess, which he did feel a little guilty for as he was not being entirely respectful by fully giving her his company. How could he after everything that had happened?
While Arthur was bad at talking about his emotions, he was not bad at concealing them. He would just become withdrawn, and perhaps overcompensate by acting a little more arrogant than usual, at least that stage had not come yet though. But now, he was sitting with Morgana, enjoying the rare opportunity to just sit with her. He did not often hide things from her, but his feelings for Gwen was something that he absolutely had to keep concealed from her. It was getting increasingly difficult, as they were growing stronger by the day. Which was also part of the reason that he had been trying to avoid her . . . he had not talked to her much since their return. He doubted anyone noticed since they only recently began talking more than usual.
It was very hard however, to hide ones feelings from someone, when that very person entered the room. And there she was. He looked at her, trying not to look too intensely. He just watched her enter with a plate of food, and while he was trying to force himself to get up and leave, he remained fused to the chair. He had better saying something so that Morgana did not catch on. "Guinevère," Once he quickly said her name, he looked away from her focused his gaze at the table, but in a very casual way. Yes, Arthur would have to keep this up for . . .who knows how long.

Something just wasn't right. "Thank you Guinevère." She said still looking at them both. Arthur was being overly withdrawn at this very moment and Gwen wasn't herself, she wasn't as talkative and Morgana was worried about both of them. Morgana felt the tension between them all. She didn't know what to say or do, so she merely looked at them both once again.
Arthur was looking at the table and Gwen was still standing there. Nothing strange about that. She was guessing that Arthur's blank stare was because he really wasn't thinking about anything, normal. There was this awkward silence between them. Morgana had to break it, it was killing her. "So Arthur, what did you do today?" That was the best you could come up with! Morgana thought to herself. She knew that she had just made this situation more awkward then needed and her facial expressions showed that. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Done TAGGED: Gwen and Arthrur LYRICS: Just so you know - Jesse McCartney NOTES: YEA awkward situations! Guinevère wanted to leave but knew it was her job to stay and wait on Morgana. She keep her head down so she would not be temped to stare at the Prince. Ever since the kidnapping, they had not had moments alone. Guinevère was still in a place where she felt confused. She missed Lancelot and thought of him often, but with Arthur here every day and seeing how he handled life she found it was not as much ass he would miss Arthur should they day come when she no longer worked here.
She stole a glance at the two of them, and thought back to the days,--ones that did not seem to long ago--where she had hoped everyday that Morgana would become queen one day. Arthur's queen. Guinevère wasn't sure but she thought it might have been Uther's hope too. Would that day come, or would Arthur pick a different princess? Like one the visiting now? Guinevère knew her place, she was a servant. One day she might be called to serve this princess of Arthur's whoever she might be. Could she did that? "Shall I bring you a plate from the kitchen, my lord?" She asked quietly, not looking at him.

This was going to be a very interesting dinner situation. Arthur wondered if he should leave, but it would seem too suspicious if he were to just get up and go. He knew Gwen would not leave because it was her duty to tend on Morgana. And Morgana . . . well, she was the one who both of them were sitting here with. And now, both of them were talking to him, so it would be even more rude to get up and go. "No thank you Guinevère, I'm fine." It was odd. He no longer regarded her as just a servant so it felt strange to have her serve him. He was now going to be distracted, so tried not to look at her, and tried to focus his attention on Morgana.
What did she just ask him? Oh yes! "Not a great actually. Lady Claire wanted a tour of the kingdom, so I was showing her the country side." Wait . . . Guinevère was here. "You should have joined us Morgana. Or perhaps showed her around yourself. I'm certain you two ladies would have had a lot more in common." There. That sounded better. It sounded less like he wanted to show her around. Even if nothing could become of the two of them right now, he did not Gwen to get the wrong idea.

She wasn't at all happy about this.
Morgana began to eat arter Arthur's refusal of food she felt out of place. Then again all the tension in the air made her sick, she stopped eating. Her fork droped to the plate with a clang. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Done TAGGED: Gwen and Arthrur LYRICS: Just so you know - Jesse McCartney NOTES:I'm just as lost as Morgana!

Guinevère paused when he said her full name. Once she had thought he had done it to annoy her, but now she loved the sound of her name on his lips. He was the only one who called her by her full name. She wondered why he did so, but didn't want to draw attention by asking him. Not even in public but in privet as well. What if he stopped?
Guinevère stood their silently as they spoke of Lady Claire. She did her best not to look at either of them. She knew she had not right to be jealous, (had she not been thinking of Lancelot just moments ago?), but could not help feeling the green grimblain in her. Lady Claire would--could be the perfect princess for Arthur. He would need someone who could bring an alliance to Camelot, or bring something besides trouble. Should she ask if she could leave?
Gwen glance between them quickly before deciding it would be to awkward if she asked if she could go. Maybe there was something she could do in here? Looking slowly around she didn't see anything. She could not just stand here. But what to do so she didn't draw notice.

It was extremely hard not to look at Guinevère right now. He would often steal a glance when he could, when he knew others weren't looking, but right now, Morgana was sitting here. And she was the one person who had known both Arthur and Gwen their entire lives. He was going to change the subject. He did not know what Gwen was thinking right now, and he hated having to be so distant from her . . . especially considering their intimate conversations they had . . . before the incident with Hengist, and before discovering her feelings for Lancelot.
Arthur used Morgana's sudden stop of eating as a distraction. Though, it was not easy. "Whats wrong Morgana?" He asked, when she released her fork. His distraction did not last. It was too hard when she was standing . . . oh! "Guinevère would you like to sit down?" He asked, looking at her briefly. If she was going to wait on Morgana, then she may as well do so sitting. Wait, should he have waited for Morgana to ask? Never the less, he asked her anyway. He felt bad for her standing this entire time, even if she was used to it.
