Guinevère looked at the room they were in, some knights were still sleeping, some had woken up. Elyan was still sleeping, but she had hope he would awaken soon. Whatever that creature was, had turned the knights from who they were to . . . . . who they were not. From the sight of that awful place, Guinevère knew that she planned to make meals of them.
It was only with Arthur's timing to ride in and save them that they were not all in the belly of that beast. Arthur had managed to come just in time to slay it. It had been an a horrid few days, but knowing it was a spell that had turned her brother into the man who had spoken to her as never before made her know the actions were not his own, and thus not even needing forgiving for. Elyan had been enchanted, and she was only glad they all could save him! She was standing by his bedside, making sure he was not too warm nor too cold, and wishing she could be doing more for him! Guinevère hated not being able to do anything but wait for her big brother to awaken.

It had been a hard few days for Elyan and his head was killing him. It was like a brick had fallen onto it. He still felt weak and his body felt like a huge weight that he couldn't quite lift yet. He could only just vaguely hear people walking around him while he drifted in and out of a deep slumber. His mind was restless but his body was still tired like all of his energy had been drained from him, so he couldn't quite make himself wake up yet. Although flashes of the past few days still appeared in his mind. The images looked clouded like he was looking through the eyes of another, but it was probably because they were just memories, just dreams. He remembered being on lookout...and then the girl was there, Lamia...then she came up to him and...blank. He couldn't remember anything else, and it was straining his mind while he tried to remember.
He finally felt like he had enough energy to lift the imaginary weight on his eyelids. He groaned quietly as his eyes fluttered open. He winced slightly, feeling worse than he had when he was asleep. The light exposed to his eyes was the first thing he saw before he focused. Then he could see Gwen standing over him and he creased his eyebrows. "Gwen?" His voice sounded slightly hoarse from lack of use. "What's going on?" He began looking around, confused. Hadn't he been on lookout in the forest? He tried to sit up, but as soon as attempted it, the strain was too much and he fell back down. He was confused by his surroundings and really wanted to know what on earth happened and why he was in some sort of tent feeling like he'd had all his energy sucked out of him.

"Gwen?" Hearing her brother's name made Guinevère inhale in surprise and look at his face. "Elyan!" She whispered, feeling the joy fill at her the sight of him waking up and looking as if he was doing well. "What's going on?" She looked around and then reached for one of the skins of water, bringing it back to where he was laying.
"You've been sleeping a while," She told him, "Rest for a moment, and then we can talk. How do you feel? Do you hurt any where? Do you want some water?" She had just told him to rest, but apparently she could not stop herself from asking him a million questions. She had been so worried about him, he had gotten sicker faster then the others, and she had feared that he would die before Merlin--and Gaius--could get a cure made and into him. He was her only blood family left, and she wasn't giving him up this early into their lives. "Let me help you drink some water." She encouraged.

"You've been sleeping a while," A while? He looked around him again. How long exactly was a while? He'd been on look out and that was pretty much all he could remember. He wondered about the others and if they were alright. Before he could ask any of his questions, Gwen had some of her own. He couldn't help but chuckle slightly at how quickly she was speaking. "I'm just a little sore," He was more than a little sore but he did not wish to worry her more than she already appeared to be. What had happened that could make him feel so tired and make her look so worried for him. He was extremely confused but her last question had reminded him of how thirsty he actually was. It felt like he hadn't drank a sip of water in days.
"Let me help you drink some water." He didn't protest. As soon as he began drinking it felt like heaven running down his dry throat. He promised in that moment to never take water for granted again. He almost finished the entire skin of water when he was done. "Thank you," he breathed out. He made another attempt at sitting up but winced at the effort. So he settled on leaning on his arm so he wouldn't be lying down and so that he could speak to his sister properly. "What happened? I mean last I remember I'd been on look out right?" It was all just a puzzled haze in his mind, like trying to remember a dream and right now Gwen was the only one that could help him remember.

Guinevère helped Elyan take a drink, supporting him the best she could. She had always taken care of him in some ways and he had always taken care of her in others. When their father was busy, it had been just the two of them. Elyan would pull her toward the adventures and she she would try to keep up as best as she could. Then she would always drag him home in time for supper. They were more then just siblings, they were friends. "What happened? I mean last I remember I'd been on look out right?" His words pulled her from her thoughts.
"Anything at all?" She asked, but knew from the others that memory was a bit faded. "Do you remember Lamia?" She asked, trying to decide on how to tell him about the girl--who wasn't really a girl--and her attack on all the men but Merlin. "It turned out she wasn't really a girl. She was a creature and she hurt you, put everyone under her spell." There was more to tell but Guinevère did not wish to over load him when he just awoken. "You were sick for days! I was so worried."

Elyan attempted once again to cast his thoughts back, thinking since he was more awake he'd have more success. He was wrong. He just hit a wall. The last thing he remembered was keeping watch while they were escorting Lamia somewhere safe. Was she alright? Did the knights end up helping her? He had many questions but Gwen had some of her own. When she asked about Lamia his eyes looked back up at her face. "Yes," he answered shortly. He was about to continue but Gwen's words silenced him. His eyes widened when she said that Lamia had in fact been a creature. It seemed many strangers the knights encountered had something to do with magic. It was almost comical if it hadn't caused him and others pain. "Are you serious?" He knew Gwen wasn't one to joke about something like that but he couldn't quite believe it.
Lamia had seemed like such a nice girl when they'd met her. A bit shaken yes but that was to be expected. It seemed it had all just been an act to lure them to her. When he went over the previous days after they met her, he noticed the change in his behaviour. The way he'd spoken to Gwen and all the knights arguing. It was coming back to him now, the fuzziness in his mind fading. As he thought about it now, he felt stupid for not noticing that something must have been wrong of course. He creased his eyebrows when she said he'd been sick for days. "Days, really?" He'd been unconscious that wrong. He leaned over to her and hugged her tightly. He didn't want her to be worried for him. He was sure he'd recover. "I'm sorry Gwen, about everything over the last few days." He recalled the harsh way he'd regarded her in Lamia's presence. "Are the others alright?" That was high on his mind now. They were his brothers in arms, so he felt naturally worried for them especially after hearing about the creature/girl. "Are you okay?" She looked fine to him but if everyone had been put under Lamia's spell, Gwen could have been hurt too. He couldn't bare the thought.

Are you serious? Elyan asked her sounding shocked, and Guinevère nodded her head. It had been a frightening few days but everyone was well and better now. Arthur had brought Gaius here and with Gaius and Merlin everyone was being saved and healed. Days, really? Again she nodded softly, letting him take all this in.
I'm sorry Gwen, about everything over the last few days. "No!" she hurried to assure him, "There is nothing to apologize for. She used magic to control the men around her." Guinevère explained, "Gaius said she made them loyal to only her, and would lead them to her home so she could eat them. We were lucky to to survive." for she had been more then Merlin and Guinevère to handle. Are the others alright? "Arthur showed up with knights in time to slay her, and get everyone to help. Gaius was able to make something that smelled horrid to bring everyone from the sleep she put you in . . . . I was afraid you might die. I was so worried!" She would never forget sitting in the fallen castle and stroking her brother's head, not knowing if he would live or die.
Are you okay? Smiling softly she nodded, "A few bruises but I am much better then you and the others. She had you all fighting each other, and doing such mean things while under her spell. . . . . Merlin was the only man she didn't put under it."
There was a bit of hope however, "Even while she had you all fighting each other, and bickering . . . . when you fell ill and could not awaken, none of them wanted to leave you behind. Even under evil spells . . . you boys take care of each other."

He could hardly believe everything Gwen was saying about Lamia. She seemed like such a nice but frightened girl. It was almost impossible to think of her as a scheming monster who wanted to eat him. She looked too small and fragile to ever want to eat anybody. But the evidence said differently. He remembered how odd he and all the others had been acting, which pointed to the conclusion that magic was being used. He smiled at the way she spoke of Arthur saving them. The look of pure love in her eyes made him even more thankful that Arthur saved them all so that he could see it. So that he could see his sister be happy. He sat up and put his arms around his sister, hugging her close. "You'll never lose me," he whispered into her hair. She was the only family he had left, and he wasn't about to let that go easily.
He let her go slightly to inspect any damage that had been done. He could see a few of the bruises that she mentioned and was just thankful that she hadn't been seriously injured. He vaguley remembered the hostility that arose between him and his fellow knights when they met Lamia. It made him feel like an idiot that he hadn't noticed it sooner. Elyan raised his eyebrows slightly when she mentioned Merlin not being under her spell. "Merlin wasn't affected?" Hadn't all the men been affected by her spell? It was odd. He couldn't help but smile warmly at her next words. He'd grown to love the other knights like brothers and knew the bond they shared was stronger than any magic. "Well I shall be sure to thank them, but first," he hugged her again. "I shall thank you for taking care of me." Like she always did. He never wanted her to know loss again and he'd do everything physically possible to make sure she didn't. Elyan stretched slightly and felt a lot better after relieving some of the stiffness. But his legs still felt cramped. "Can we take a walk?"

"You'll never lose me," He told her, but after these days Guinevère was all too strongly aware that she could well lose him. She had felt that fear in her heart, and knew that it could happen one day, and she could pray that it never did. "I shall thank you for taking care of me." Smiling she blushed slightly, but knew that nothing could have kept her from his side. "Well, it's what you do . . . " When you love someone. She would always come to his aid.
"At least this time, it wasn't your fault." She teased him, recalling how he had always followed his heart no matter were it lead him. She was only grateful that now he had brother to make sure he got home safely no matter what. Even bickering over a girl--they would not leave him, and worked together to make sure he was safe.
"Can we take a walk?" "Can you?" Did he feel strong enough? Guinevère moved to hoover over him some, as if she feared he might try and fall over. "Let me help you at least!"
