In order to be found..... It was late. Just how late though, the young gypsy did not know. The party was still going on, that she could easily hear. She had just come from the kitchens were the chef had prepared an utterly delightful meal for her. Now she was on her way to her room, the one that she had rested in before. It was so kind of the Prince to request one for her. She stretched her arms up to the sky, yawning. God she was tired...She needed a long soak to ease her sore muscles and she felt like she could sleep for days. Evelyn let her arms drop to her sides and she continued to walk. Her bare feet made no sound as she walked, through the jewelry on her arms and ankles jingled softly. Her long hair was let loose over her back, for she had taken it down after her performance. Evelyn turned a corner, stopping and looking around.
“Uh oh…” she mumbled, her deep brown eyes glancing over her surroundings. She had absolutely no idea where she was. Evelyn ran a hand through her hair, letting out a sigh. This is not good… She continued to walk, figuring that she could at least find someone somewhere that could tell her where she was. Or maybe she could find something familiar. The torchlight flickered over her face as she moved, casting long shadows over the eerily dark hallway. Evelyn felt uneasy walking the dark hallway alone, only the light from the torches guiding her. A chill crept over her and she moved slightly faster, chiding herself for being scared while she couldn’t even help it. She jumped at the smallest of noises, chuckling quietly and nervously before moving on quickly. Her heart pounded in her chest like an African drum and her eyes were focused ahead.

William had not been a knight for very long. Having joined just weeks before. He had been training for this all his life under the watchful eye of his father. He had done everything he could do impress and make his father proud of him. He had dueled Arthur and proved himself worthy to be a knight. He knew there was still so little he knew and so much he could improve on and he planned on doing just that. He would do all he could to improve each and every skill he had. There were those he was was better at than others. Often preferring close combat to that of a distance. Though each one William planned on trying to perfect. He knew it would take years to perfect every skill and even then he may not master every single one. Regardless he would not give up. He was determined to be the best of the best. That is what he wanted more than anything. To prove his worth and his courage. To be worth to be a knight of King Uther. William was quiet aware of the event about to happen and was ready for anything. Even if nothing was to happen and William certainly hoped nothing would he would be prepared. He would keep a watchful look out. He wanted to prove his worth to show he was truly worthy to be a knight to the King.
William was dressed of that of any knight the chain-mail underneath with the armor and King Uther's family symbol above that. While William was not expecting anything to happen one could never be to careful. Protecting the royalties and the people of Camelot was of the utmost importance to William. Though the atmosphere was relaxed sitting here celebrating that of the King's birthday he was still very cautious. They had a special guest, Evelyn, who had preformed specifically for the King himself. The feast had begun the food and wine wonderful as it always was. Nothing less for the King of Camelot. Nor for the guest and certainly for this event. Though William never once let his guard down he was always watching his surroundings. Ready to protect the King if needed. There was much more than protecting the King for a knight. A knight needed to be able to help anyone rich or poor, king or servant. It was the code he knew he needed to honor. William watched the graceful Evelyn before him as she danced for the King. It was truly a wonderful event to see. William's attention while watching the dancing was always on his surroundings and those around him.
The feat carried on after the dance was preformed. Though a few had retired. William saw the young dancer, Evelyn, leave though his attention remained on others. William stayed for a little while longer before everyone began to retire to their chambers. William made his way out through the castle. Walking along the many hallways within the castle itself. He had roamed these castle walls many times. William recognized Evelyn as she came into view. He truly had no real direction he was headed in. Simply roaming the halls. He could quickly find "Good evening, M'Lady." William's tone was nothing but respect. He tried his very best to show respect to everyone he came across. William smiled politely at Evelyn. "If you don't mind me asking, M'Lady, what brings you out roaming the walls at this hour?" William asked very politely clinging tightly to how he was raised and trained being a knight.

Evelyn's steps turned slightly quicker as she moved. Shadows became more sinister looking and seemed to have a life of their own. As a being of magic, Evelyn certainly knew that may very well be the case. The cold stone against her bare feet hardly registered to the frightened girl. Yes, she was frightened of the shadows around her. Ever since she was a wee little one she had heard tales of the evil of shadows from the storyteller around her camp's fire. She shuddered slightly, moving even faster through the hallways. Is it just my imagination, or are those shadows getting larger? She shook her head slightly, banishing the thoughts from her mind. She gave a small cry of alarm as another voice echoed in the hall. She turned with a pounding heart to see a knight.
"You....you startled me sir knight," she said. Her cheeks were flushed with her embarrassment and her hand was over her fluttering heart. She slightly recognized the knight from her performance only but a half hour ago. He was handsome, quite so. Like any knight, he was broad chested and muscular, exceeding masculinity and a knight's chivalry. His hair was dark and what little skin wasn't covered by his knight uniform she saw was a nice tan. But his eyes were what caught her attention. They were a blinding, brilliant blue that reminded her of a gentle sea. Very soon, Evelyn found that her heart fluttered for a very different reason than if had only moments ago. His next question brought her voice back.
"I was trying to find my bedchamber's but, as you can tell i got quite lost," she said shyly. Evelyn did not enjoy embarrassing herself and she was doing a horrible job of showing the independent woman she was. She must have appeared like a weak, scared girl that most of the woman these days were. She straightened up, letting her hands drop to her sides and wishing the flush on her cheeks away (though with little success).
"Would you mind helping me find my way?" she asked him sweetly, a smile blooming on her rose-colored lips.

William was always looking out for any danger that there may be. On or off duty he saw it as his job as a knight. Though helping others was certainly something he would do. He knew some could quiet arrogant about such and William could too at times. Though he tried to treat everyone equally no matter there status. William often kept a friendly smile upon his lips certainly whenever he came across anyone and this was no exception to that. William's eyes laid to rest on the lady before him as she gave out a cry of alarm at his voice. He certainly did not plan on scaring the lady before him yet it appeared he did. "I apologize M'Lady I had no intentions of startling you." William could assume she a bit embarrassed by what had just occurred with the blush that formed on her cheeks. He kept a slight smile on his lips being as polite as he could. For he truly saw no other reason to not be as such. He was a knight he remained closely to the code of chivalry.
William smiled a bit more at Evelyn's response. "It can be easily done M'Lady." This was very true for the castle was fairly large and did take some time to get use to the many corridors within the castle. William could recall when he was younger he had clung to his father's side always doing what he wanted being his squire. The castle was a large place and he had lost track of where he was going the first several times he made his way though out the castle. Therefore he knew firsthand how it could be difficult to know one's way around certainly without an escort. "It takes a bit of getting use to." William kept his smile in place as well as keeping his done as polite as he could. For there was truly no other reason to be otherwise. William smiled a bit more as she requested him helping her. He bowed his head slightly. "It would be my pleasure."
