A Wedding

Bran quietly smiled as he held the slightly bigger knight close to him, stealing a kiss as he danced slowly with his childhood friend Gareth, wrapping his newlywed husband in his arms. He was honestly shocked at being able to marry his husband, considering some of the things that the church had said before. The two quietly finished their dance with a kiss, beginning to make their way around to the different people who had come.

OF CAMELOT

Today was a rather momentous occasion . . . but then, what wedding was not? The noble couple had wished to share this special day in the very heart of Camelot: the castle itself. Of course the king held no objection to this. It was good for the people's spirits to see an event so filled with joy and happiness. After all, executions were not the only cause for a group to come together. Once the ceremony was over, Arthur mingled amongst the visiting nobles throughout Camelot.

Everyone was either dancing, drinking, or just engaging in jovial conversation. Glancing over at the newlyweds, Arthur took advantage of the fact that they were relatively free from another's company. Then again, he was prince of Camelot after all. If he approached and so desired a conversation alone, the others would disperse. Making his way, a smile was upon his lips as he extended a hand to Bran's shoulder. "I believe a congratulations is in order," Arthur commented. The knights were all his brothers in arms, and if they found their happiness, then he of course was happy for them.

Sir Bran quietly made his way over to where his cousin stood, finishing his dance with Gareth with a slow and gentle kiss, smiling at the other man's affection. He pulled his second cousin into a bear hug, smiling at his friend.

"Thank you so much for letting us have the wedding at the castle. Truly, it means so much that you would let us have it here."

He smiled at the prince. "If ever you have need of any troops, please, let us know and we will help however we can."

Bran took another swig of his wine, nestling against Gareth as the younger knight wrapped his cloak around the two.

Arthur returned the hug, smiling as they pulled away with Bran's gratitude over the use of his home. "It's a pleasure to host such a joyous event," Arthur answered honestly. Extended cousins or not, the men were still family.

Any knights, were considered to be brothers to Arthur. "Do not think of troops or aid on such a day," he said dismissively to the subject. "Just enjoy what it has to offer," he added on with a smile towards both men. "Do you have any plans to travel?" Some couples went away for a little while following their wedding, so Arthur was curious if the two newly weds held such plans.

Bran smiled as Gareth swept him off his feet for the briefest moment, pulling him into yet another long and slow kiss. He always appreciated how Gareth would do these sorts of things, even if it was completely unexpected. "For now we will avoid the topic of troops. And our plans for now are to return to our cottage at Borders, enjoy some time to ourselves, and hopefully, if Gareth should want it, maybe talk about a family."

Arthur looked away for a moment, feeling as if he was intruding on a private moment between the two. "That sounds like a good plan," Arthur agreed, assuming they would know without him needing to tell them that they would be not be expected to carry out their knightly duties for a little while. "Sounds like a conversation to be had without prying ears," he added on when Bran spoke of Gareth wanting a family, allowing them an chance to excuse themselves or vice versa as Arthur would do the same without any offence.
