The footsteps grew slightly louder as the person neared her and she felt her heart accelerate. At first she couldn't quite make out the form parting its way through the trees, but as the man stepped into the clearing her eyes narrowed. It appeared to be Prince Arthur, but he wore no symbol of the Pendragon crest. Or any armor for that matter. "What business do you have here?" His voice broke through the silence of the forest and she frowned. Yes, this was definetly Prince Arthur, she could tell by the way he spoke and stood. Not just the royal quality, but also the stress and determination. He felt he needed to find the cause of the plague and stop it..... Protect his people. Her eyes met with his and she tilted her head. "You see....Prince Arthur." She said, a small smile forming on her face. "With this....Interesting plague takng hold of the city... One must worry about the situation, yes?" Vailea hesitated, but not long enough for him to answer. "So I thought a decent ride in the forest would do me some good....Get out of all that mayhem." She hadn't chosen her words all too carefully, making her answer quite... Unrespectful really. And her answer had been really quite vague, but if he wanted more of an answer, he would most surely ask.
Her hand dropped to her side and her intense eyes softened. She quickly offered a quick introduction, bobbing a curtsey. "Vailea Ceylan, Prince Arthur." She smiled and eyed the sword he had been holding, ready to strike. "Hmm going to attack me, your higness? Surely not, I presume?" She shot him a quizzical look, already knowing the answer. Even if she was the city's largest threat... Would he kill her? Life was stressful for everyone these days, and stress pushed everyone to do things they normally wouldn't. She fiddled with a small silver ring on her right hand, the one her mother had gotten her for her birthday a long time ago... Because once upon a time, Vailea had had a family, people who loved her no matter what.
Notes~ Haha thanks. This one's short though... Oh well.

Vailea had done it again, she had simply blurted out something without thinking. She bobbed a curtsey and her gaze shifted to the clothing rack behind Princess Yassia. It was only fair to introduce herself, was it not? "Pleasure to meet you. I'm Vailea...At your service, ma'am." She was not one with greetings and addressing people, always making so something treacherous for both herself and the other. She would apologize for speaking out, but what would she say? No, best to keep her mouth shut for the moment. The princess did not show any sign of annoyance, but Vailea knew she most surely was. Who wouldn't be? Her eyes shifted back to Princess Yassia and she listened intently. "I apologize for your unfortunate luck." She said in a respectful manner. "We will most certainly be able to help though, and quickly fufill your needs." Vailea added quickly, her bright eyes softening from their usual harsh effect. "...but I was assured here I would be treated with most respect and aptitude.” Vailea's eyes met with Yassia's, and she swiftly shifted her gaze downward again. "Of course, ma'am. Nothing but." So the princess knew how to bite back, Vailea's true intentions or not.
"So..." Vailea started glancing around the store."How may I be of service, Princess Yassia? We can make custom clothing, or something pre-made.... Anything of your choice, ma'am." She smiled in a friendly manner and gazed at the princess, awaiting her answer.
(Notes~ SO so so sorry for the wait. Life got a little hetic. >.< Anyways, really short, sorry. I'd improve it and add a little more, but I'd like to get the thread back on track.)

The forest was sprinkled with trees and forage, though not too dense. A few birds chirped their merry songs, but Camelot was no where near happiness. There were suspicions of a plague taking hold of the city, and one citizen had already passed. The forest that surrounded Vailea were pleasantly quiet, though eerie at the same time. Her horse stood a few yards away from her, tied to the trunk of a nearby tree. The rock upon which Vailea sat was shaded from the sun's rays by the tall trees that hovered over her head. She held an apple that she had taken from her house back in the city, and sat examining it. Perhaps it contained whatever was causing the plague....Maybe it didn't. "Only one way to find out." Vailea muttered to herself. No, she wasn't suicidal....Not at all, but that was just her nature... Vailea was daring and a major daredevil. Besides, she was hungry anyways.
As soon as she sank her teeth into the flesh of the apple, a moist sweet taste danced upon her taste buds. After she finished off the last of the apple, Vailea tossed the useless core a few feet away and stood from the rock. Her pale blue dress swept across the ground as she paced, somehow failing to pick up the mud and dirt that lined the forest floor. She should stay in Camelot... What were the chances she would catch whatever was going around? Besides, only one person had had it so far, unofficial word of mouth could not be trusted. That was final. Who knew if this would turn into an epidemic? There were probably already many people searching for clues and such, since some suspected that magic was the cause. Most likely, it was.
A sudden crunch sent Vailea's head snapping upwards and her ivy green irises scanning the trees. That was no forest animal, the sound was too large for one to create...It had interrupted her jumbled thoughts, and she felt her heart thumping. No other sounds followed, and her posture relaxed. Crack! Long, soft brown hair sliced through the air as her attention shifted to her right. She took a small step forward towards her speckled gray horse, ready to grab her bow and arrows at a second's notice. Her eyes stayed focused to where the noise had sounded and her hand stretched close to where her weapon rested. "Hello?" She called shakily, trying to keep her voice firm. Clearing her throat, she spoke again. "Who's there?" This time her voice didn't waver, and gave a more powerful tone. There was no need to be frightened after all.... Vailea was trained for defense, and she obviously hadn't failed yet. She was alive, after all.

It was a nice spring day, filled with cheerful songs of various birds. The wind blew gently against the earth, carrying scents of new blossoms. Ivy irises scanned the green grass that rushed below. Loud thuds pounded the damp ground, created by thick hoofs that belonged to a grey horse. Vailea sat upon the firm saddle, her long brown hair blowing out behind her. The horse kept a steady gallop, seeming to enjoy the run as well. The forest was covered by trees, and the trail carved a thin passage through the dense area.
Just ahead, was a large clearing with a crystal clear stream that trickled right through the clearing. The songbirds were much more abundant there, which made for a nice place. As they neared the clearing, the trees that stood so close against the trail parted and the beautiful landscape could be seen. Vailea hopped from her horse and lead him slowly into the clearing, quickly tying him to a sturdy tree trunk. She sat just a few feet away and opened a book that she had just begun reading a few days previous.
After several minutes, she closed the book with a gentle thud. She had sensed a presence nearby and it made her uneasy. The thin hair on the back of her neck stood, and her spine tingled. There had to be someone there, she could just feel it. She reached over to her horse, and patted its shoulder before grabbing her bow and arrows. Quickly, she slung the bow over her shoulder and the carton of arrows over the other. Her steady gaze shifted around the clearing before deciding that there wasn't anybody there. There hadn't been but a noise in the past few minutes, but yet again, it could be easily concealed by the lyrics that carried through the meadow, emitted from brightly colored songbirds. No, now this was getting to her. She definitely was not scared in the least, but she just wanted to enjoy the day, not wanting to be worried the entire time.
She sighed softly and took a step forward. A small crack sounded from across the clearing, and her eyes darted to where it came from. There was a man lurking right on the brink of the forest and her heart skipped a beat. No he wasn't a bandit was he? They usually were in groups, but who knew? Vailea quickly placed her foot in the saddle and swung her other leg over. She pressed gently against the horse's sides, guiding it over to the man, with a small trot. "Hello there sir..." She greeted him kindly, though she did not know what kind of answer would return.

There had been little people to come by the shop today, and Vailea found she had not much to do, for she had finished the many projects she was working on just recently. The shop she worked for usually was full of customers, being a quality clothing store but today it was eerily deserted. Her boss had left a few minutes ago, for a lunch break leaving just Vailea and a new worker named Savannah. Vailea sat behind the front counter, quietly reading a novel that was actually quite boring in her opinion. But she had nothing better to do anyways. Perhaps she should work on cleaning up the shop, but that was Savannah's job. She sighed heavily and glanced up from her book, noticing the young girl sorting through some custom dresses. She had pasty white skin and curly auburn hair that draped long past her slim shoulders. "Savannah..." Vailea began, staring back down at the book, a lock of soft brown hair slipping from behind her ear, "Boss said to clean the shop, not fawn over all the fancy dresses." Vailea stated firmly, still reading the book that somehow kept her attention, despite it's poor content. Anything was better than staring at an empty shop at the moment though. Her thin fingers placed the hair back behind her ear and she leaned forward, resting her face upon her awaiting palm.
After a good few minutes, Vailea frowned and tossed the book onto the other end of the counter. Where was everyone on such a fine day? She drummed her fingers impatiently against the firm oak and watched as Savannah worked. I guess I could at least make myself useful.... Vailea suddenly stood from the chair. She glided over the polished floor, and grabbed a rag from the backroom. Vailea carefully swiped away the dust that inhabited the store, taking her precious time. The musty smell of the place finally got to Vailea, tempting her to open a few windows. She clicked the latch and pulled it up, breathing in the fresh air. Outside there was not a soul to be seen. Shaking her head, Vailea turned back around and headed into the storage room, carefully choosing a royal blue silk and a fine white lace that each stretched fairly far. A dress did take quite a bit of fabric, after all. She began cutting the fabric into pieces when the door swung open.
And there entered a young woman. "Hello, there. How may I help you?" Vailea's tone was welcoming and she nodded in respect. At first the woman appeared to be a common traveler, but the elegance in which she presented herself was that of a higher class. Yes.... This woman before her was definitely royalty. She had to be. "Please excuse me.... But may I ask whom you are, ma'am?" she questioned her the woman. Vailea's ivy green irises met with her's and Vailea smiled, almost apologetically. Looking her clothes over, she could definitely tell why she was here. They were mud stained and torn, but not too horribly. Still, one would need somewhat decent clothes to wear..... "Time for new clothes, is it not?"

| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Camelot .:Family:. All dead. .:Occupation:. Seamstress .:Current Location of Residence:. Camelot .:History:. Vailea was born into a family of commoners including her father, mother, two brothers, and a sister. Right from the start, she had close ties with her father who eventually taught her several things such as archery. She was a natural and was soon able to kill forest animals to feed her family. Vailea loved animals and still does, so it pained her to hunt them, but yet again, her family would starve if she didn't. Through her childhood, her family didn't have much money, and they barely afforded essentials, much less luxuries.
At a young age, Vailea's urge to explore sprouted. Soon after, curiosity of the world outside the village grew and she begged her father to go on a quick adventure. He was attacked by a cockatrice and passed away just a few miles out of the kingdom. Vailea managed to kill the beast with a perfect blow from an arrow and ran back to Camelot, her birth place. To this day, she still blames herself for her father's death. The following years were troubled ones. Just months after her father's death, came her sister's. She had fallen ill, and infected the rest of their family. Vailea had somehow avoided the sickness, but the rest had not. They were sick for several weeks, before they too, left Vailea. Alone and on her own at just the age of 14, her aunt (who was her only relative left) came to Vailea's house and watched over her.
Years passed before anything life changing occurred, but Val was glad. Enough trauma for a lifetime had occurred in just a year's span, and she was heartbroken. But she was not one to enter depression, and so her life went on. At the age of 18, her last relative died....Her aunt. She was officially on her own. But this time she was ready.
(Let me know if you want more for her personality... I'm having a little trouble describing her right now.)
