From being very young, Idris’ family have had to save all they could as their farm was only on a small plot of land. She has learnt to be emotionally and physically strong from a very young age. She has learnt to be emotionally strong as she had a younger sister, Emilie who was lost to a plague when Idris was 7, and physically because she has two brothers and she often got in the middle of their arguments and fights. She has always been her mother’s favourite and has therefore often been allowed to let her opinions be heard in a way that young girls are discouraged from.| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ |

.:Personality:. Idris, although a servant, is by no means shy and timid. She has often been deemed as too headstrong for her own good, and voices her opinions when they should probably be kept to herself. She does know where to draw the line with voicing her opinions in terms of keeping her job, and is aware of the proper etiquette with being a servant. She is relatively new to the job of being a servant as she previously worked alongside her family’s plot of land until they could no longer afford to keep her.
She is an incredibly determined individual, and although she is new to being a servant, she refuses to be overwhelmed by her new surroundings, and instead she wishes to learn the tricks of her trade quickly to avoid mistakes.
Although she is often overly confident, she is in no means trusting and trust must be earned in her eyes. Once she trusts someone enough to call them a friend she would do anything in her power to protect and help them. But, until this trust is earned she is very guarded with what she will tell anyone.
Idris has a quiet temper and would choose a battle of words over a battle of fists, but would not shy away from a fight if it came to it.

.:Occupation:. Servant
.:Current Location of Residence:. Camelot Castle/ Servants quarters
.:History:.
She never really had much interest in farming and had always wanted to seek her fortunes, not to mention a husband, in Camelot. Her mother used to take her to markets in Camelot which Idris always enjoyed.
From a young age Idris’ mother told her of the Great Purge and how Uther put many to death. Idris’ aunt Ailith was burned as he was suspected to be a witch, so Idris’ view of the purge has always been one of sympathy towards those who were harmed. However, since she has been in Camelot she has also seen the harm which magic can do when in the hands of one who wishes to harm Camelot and Uther Pendragon.
When she reached the age of eighteen, as her father was unable to quickly marry her off as they had no dowry to offer, Idris was left to fend for herself as her elder brother, Benedict, was expected to take over the families farm as Samuel, their father, was aging.
After unsuccessfully trying to gain employment in neighbouring farms and other villages, Idris decided to go to Camelot as she was left with no choice, so her childhood dream of moving to Camelot was finally recognised. She succeeded in gaining the post of a servant in the castle after a maidservant took pity on her and gave her some serving duties.
She has yet to find love, as her family were always poor no other families ever sought to have their sons married to her. Now she is in Camelot it could be a very different story.
