Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur did not fear death enough to run from a fight. Everyone feared the end of living yet Arthur embraced each battle, knowing the risks. Knowing it could be what drew his last breath. But this time, his father had called him foolish for it. Because . . . the consequences were severe. And this time, Arthur was terrified. He did not regret what had to be done in order to defeat Cenred's men. They had come far too close and Arthur knew the only way was to charge forward. But this time, he did not come out of it uninjured. The bandage had finally been removed and his hope had been that after spending days in darkness, he would finally be able to see. But, such was not the case.
The physicians -- multiple for his father had called anyone who held knowledge in the area -- told him that there was a good chance that his sight would return. To give it a few days. Arthur held onto the hope but the time spent in this darkness, had his entire body fill with fear. That question of what if his sight does not come back forever lingering in his mind. Everyone eventually left to rest, and he could practically feel his father's own fear emanating off of him. Arthur just desperately hoped he did not fail the king. That he did not fail Camelot by rendered so . . . useless. And right now, he felt restless. He was not permitted to leave the room, for his father did not want anyone to know of his injuries. Rumours would spread and it would make Camelot vulnerable if others were to discover that the prince and heir had lost his vision -- even temporarily.
A light knock on the door distracted him from his thoughts, turning his head a little when he heard the voice that followed. Guinevère. How he longed to see her -- figuratively -- and yet, how he didn't want her to see him like this. He felt weak. Crippled. Hindered. He attempted to sit up a little, fear coursing through him. He was meant to be strong, for everyone in the kingdom. For her. And right now . . . he couldn't do anything. Parting his lips, he knew he could not keep this from her forever. That he shouldn't. "Enter," he told her, wanting to reach for something -- anything -- but knew it would only make him seem more clumsy. "Guienvere," he greeted, keeping the fear from his voice. She after all, always had a soothing effect on him when her presence was near.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT A future where normal was boring. Yes. He liked that. He knew that he did much that was perhaps not normal. Having a best friend for a servant. Falling in love for a servant. Advocating to knight non noble men. Yes. Normal was indeed overrated. He took in her question, a small smile playing on his lips as he tried to imagine this in their future. Sitting together, in front of the fire. A domestic picture yet a life that he craved so badly.
He knew it was something his father would never understand, no matter how much he longed to explain it to him. The king was furious enough that Arthur had rejected the marriage Elena. How could he possibly understand Arthur's feelings for Guinevère? But, it was as he told Guinevère . . . only time will tell. "I believe so," he told her confidently. "Perhaps, the only strangeness being the distance between us when sitting together," he said with a light tease, referring to the space between them but . . . as it was not yet the future, he knew that he had to keep that space. For her own comfort. "And you, Guinevère?" He asked, turning to look at her. "What picture do you see?" Hoping that it was not one sided.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur looked into her eyes, his lid heavy but in the best way possible. How he wished this moment would last forever. This all consuming bliss of sheer euphoria. All those years of daring to hope, falling in love, resisting temptation . . . had led to this spectacular moment. And it had been indescribable. Arthur leaned down to deeply, slowly kiss her lips again, while raising his hips a little so that he pulled himself out of her with a slight muffled groan -- muffled only due to the contact of their lips. He felt the immediate deprivation of her heat. That oneness. That feeling of completion when their bodies were joined.
This was the first time they had experienced it and yet Arthur didn't know how he had been deprived of it for so long. How he had lived without it. Without her. Easing out of the kiss, he heavily breathed, his hand falling down to her thigh, gently caressing it as if somewhat aware of what he had heard . . . that this could hurt for a woman should it be their first time. The thought of doing anything to hurt her, hurt him. And he only hoped that she was in no physical pain. "I love you," he told her, the words as natural as the beating of his heart. Because these words, could not be said enough. "And I am honoured, that you allowed me to show my love for you," he added on. Honoured, that she had agreed to marry him. Honoured . . . that she became his wife.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur liked hearing her laugh, the melodic sound filling him with a sense of pride that he had drawn such a reaction from her. It made him pleased with himself. And caused his own smile to grow. He was also relieved that she too felt it. The . . . strangeness of this. She then asked him a question that caused him to fall silent. A pensive silence, and he contemplated the answer. He wasn't even certain what to say, so as always, he spoke from the heart. "I hope not," he began to say, knowing that he needed to elaborate. "Normal is what is expected." It was normal for a prince to marry a princess. For a royal to marry a royal. For a servant to marry a citizen.
"I don't want normal," he continued. His mind went back to the conversation they had where Guinevère encouraged him to marry Elena. How she told him that what he wanted was insane; and how he was happy being insane. "I want . . . " He paused, turning to loo at her while saying the words, and unsure how to finish them. Soft longing in his gaze, and the strong awareness that they had not had a serious conversation about where they were. About their relationship. "To defy what others deem normal." Meaning. He wanted to be with her. But without being so blunt about it, hoped she understood what he was saying.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur failed to notice her grip loosen on the shirt in her hand . . . though he did notice the way her neck titled, granting him more access, and he couldn't help that small smile that formed before occupying his lips in the same pattern of kisses. Feeling rather pleased that she too was enjoying his attentions upon her. "Then, allow me to share my shirt as well," he told her, his head tilting downwards, moving along her collarbone to the other side of her neck, touching whatever he could of her skin.
"And give in to your want of wanting to wear it." Of course, in order to do that he could have to get her out of her dress. So to add further meaning to his words, his hands moved to the ties on her dress and starting by pulling the first one out. Lips trailing up towards her ear, pressing against them he practically whispered directly against them. "I missed you." Since this morning, which, wasn't that long ago and yet it felt like an eternity.

Tag: m Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur's heart had been confusing him these past few days. His father often told him to act with his head, not his heart, yet the two seemed to be at constant battle and Arthur had no idea how to explain it. Nor to even explain it to, for the person that he often confided to . . . seemed to be directly related to whatever caused this internal war to be happening with the prince. There were no words to make sense of it, so Arthur often let it be.
He tried to forget about it. Push it aside. Continue his daily tasks. Brush it off. And yet, it was still there. Always there. Even in moments such as these when he was training his men, he felt it. Out of all the eyes watching him, there was only one pair that he often felt concerned with. It was ridiculous and inexplicable but if there was one thing that Arthur had learned, it was that he could not stop his heart from whatever it felt. Even if he didn't exactly know what that was.
When his opponent was on his back, Arthur moved the point of his blade from his throat as the audience of knights in training applauded. Arthur then offered his hand to the fellow knight, pulling him to his feet. "Better," he encouraged him. "But we still need to focus on your footwork." He looked at the others that watched. "That's it for today," he announced, turning to walk away towards Merlin. "Not bad eh," Arthur said with a smug grin . . . talking about himself more than the other knight. "At least he lasted twenty seconds this time," Arthur added on jokingly but not without truth, as he reached for the cup of water to drink.

Tag: m Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur watched Merlin as he busied himself and . . . well, he just watched him. Carefully. Closely. How did Merlin manage to do it? To lie so effortlessly. Had Arthur not overheard, he would have easily believed Merlin. The conviction, the composure in his false words. Perhaps it was the hurt . . . that it was truly so easy to lie to him. That Merlin, a man that Arthur trusted emphatically, spoke such words of untruth. He remained silent, as if trying to find the words to say. How he wished that was true. That the dragon had been wounded and sent away.
But . . . it wasn't. Not in the slightest. And Arthur couldn't help but wonder how many other times this had happened. How many other times the seemingly impossible had occurred, and Merlin's explanation had answered all his questions. Arthur's mind was still processing a few other instances . . . and he imagined there were even more. He could not do it though. He could not lie to Merlin and so, he needed to speak what he had uncovered. Turning fully to face his manservant, Arthur spoke. "And here I thought it was due to the words you said to it that had sent it away." Alive. Uninjured. And by no action of Arthur's.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur made sure to keep his eyes closed though the difficulty of it was increasing. He was a man after all. A man, in love with a beautiful woman . . . that was undressing right behind him! But still, he remained still. Self imposed darkness. Until he heard her voice welcoming back. If it was difficult not to look now, it was even more difficult when he turned to see her covered by the blanket, knowing that there was nothing underneath.
He tried not to let that hinder his composure. Years of training to be a diplomat and future king didn't help in the slightest when it came to being in love and the temptations that coincided with that. But still, he sat down next to her, trying not to stare . . . keeping a reasonable distance between them. He just stared silently into the flames before he knew he had to say something. "Feels strange doesn't it," he said with a bit of an amused tone, simply vocalizing how he felt and how he figured she must feel too. Why not voice the . . . awkwardness. Besides, if there was one thing he had learned, it was that he could speak his mind to Guinevère. Just as she spoke her mind to him.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur smiled, unable to help the mental image of Guinevère wearing his shirt. A mental image that was quote . . . appealing. He glanced at the shirt in her hand, the red one. He always seemed to have a red one at hand -- perhaps symbolic of the Pendragon colour, but he was particularly fond of this one. "Would you prefer him to have no shirt at all?" Arthur asked with playful flirtation. Leaning forward, he brushed aside her hair, lightly kissing the side of her neck.
"Because that can be arranged," he added on, a slight smirk on his face though he was far too occupied with kissing his wife. He knew better than to discourage her from cleaning or putting things away. So long as she did it out of desire as oppose to obligation. Before, she had worked to earn coin and now . . . that was no longer her life. She was queen. The richest woman in all the kingdom, and he wanted her to enjoy that too. Though, part of him knowing she was not one of extravagance, Arthur enjoyed the thought of spoiling her where he could. "If you require more space . . ." He said between each kiss. "I can move some of my clothing elsewhere." He was only half paying attention to the thought of organizing. Guinevère was far too distracting.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT She trusted him. Though it may seem like a simple statement, it meant a great deal to Arthur. He knew she did, yet hearing the words never ceased to make his heart swell with emotion. He gave a small smile of . . . appreciation, perhaps. And he would never intentionally do anything to damage that trust she placed in him. So he rose to his feet with the blanket in hand. "Stand close to the fire," he told her softly as he crossed the room to the other side. So that way, when she undressed, even if it was just for a brief moment, she would not feel cold.
Once he was on the other side he glanced with a nod, and then turned his head. Undressing for him was quick. He merely had to lift his shirt and shroud the blanket over his shoulders. But . . . he knew it was more of a task for her. And suddenly, that awareness that she was undressing just a matter of a few feet away from him . . . made him feel things. Things that he knew were rather, inappropriate. But he couldn't help it. She trusted him, and he would not violate that. So, he closed his eyes, back facing towards her. "Just . . . let me know when you're done." The temptation to look was so incredibly strong and at the same time, he would never do anything to dishonour her. He hoped.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT He felt the immediate loss of her touch when she moved her hand from his, watching her as she made her way to the bed. He then turned his attentions back to the fire, proceeding to pull off his boots and socks, laying them in front of the fire, as he did the same with his riding vest. By the time he was done, she had returned, offering a blanket to him and encouraging him to take it before he caught his death. "Thank you," he said gratefully, eyeing to see if there was another.
"But, it'll take more than a bad storm to do me in," he said a jokingly, as if to relieve some of the . . . awkwardness of this situation. She had seen him without a shirt before, a few times. He had even held her hand to his bare chest before. But . . . this was different. And, he was trying to think of how she could get warm. So until they could figure that out, he did not yet wrap the blanket around him. "If you'd like I can . . . go downstairs so that you can properly dry off?" He offered, figuring she could at least undress and use the blanket to conceal her, assuming she'd feel more comfortable doing it without him in the room.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Once inside the room, Arthur took off his cloak and set it to the side, spreading it out in the hopes that it would dry. He then undid his sword belt, placing it and the weapon on the table. Hearing her encourage him to come by the father, Arthur didn't need to be told twice. He made his way over to sit next to her, enjoying the warmth that the flames provided but more so . . . enjoying her presence, knowing that she was safe. It was seldom they were able to be alone without fear of getting caught. This was almost, nice. Despite the circumstances. No . . . it was nice. He knew he could not deny that.
Distracted from his thoughts, he glanced at her hand that now held his, a small smile forming on his lips as he met her gaze. She was thanking him, and Arthur wanted to assure her she didn't have to. "You don't need to thank me," he assured her, casually. As if he had not even given it a second thought -- which he had not. Protecting Guinevère was instinct; it was as natural as breathing. It was as he once told her: he wasn't going to let any harm come to her. "I'm just sorry that circumstances aren't . . . better," he said almost jokingly. "But we're safe, that's what matters." And inside, away from that horrid storm.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur wasn't entirely certain how it had come to this. The group of them had been travelling -- Morgana, Merlin, a few knights and . . . Guinevère -- when suddenly, Guinevère's horse had been startled by the lightening and thunder. The heavy downpour that came after had her horse racing in the opposite direction. Arthur did not even think about it for a moment, as he instructed the others to continue on their path, while Arthur hurried after Guinevère. Eventually, he had caught up, and they were able to calm the horse. But not before they were caught -- and drenched -- in the terrible storm. Fortunately, there was a small village not too far and they managed to find a place to tie their horses.
Arthur was at least relieved that he was clad in is hunting attire, and tried to conceal his weapon as best he could, under his travelling cloak which he almost didn't bring. Once they stepped inside the inn and tavern, Arthur took in the boisterous crowd, knowing that this wasn't exactly ideal. There were rather, unruly men in such a crowd but he supposed he could find comfort in the fact that Guinevère was not alone. "One room please," he said, taking out a couple of coins. The innkeeper told him that they only had one room available. That the storm had caused them to fill up rather quickly.
One room. Well. That . . . was interesting. Arthur looked over at Guinevère as if to check whether she was alright with that, though it didn't seem they had much of a choice. He knew that ever since rejecting his marriage to Elena, there was this unspoken promise between them. of waiting. An silent commitment they had for one another. But still. They . . . were now going to share a room, apparently. Because there was no alternative. Besides one glance at Guinevère, and he worried that she was going to grow ill, from how drenched she already was, and he had nothing dry to offer her for his own clothing was also soaked. He just hoped, judging from this place, that the rooms were at least, decent. Looking back at the innkeeper, Arthur gave a small nod. "We'll take it."

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT This had been one of the worst council meetings. Apart from the dry content, and the utter boredom . . . Arthur longed to spend time with his wife. Wife! The term still too good to be true. Something that he could only imagine for a time, and other times . . . something he dare not imagine for the reality had been too painful. But alas, all those years of waiting had paid off for they were now married. Together. In every sense of the word. And he wished to spend every moment with the woman he loved. The new heights they found int heir relationship leaving him longing for her touch. Which, probably wasn't the best thing to think of when surrounded by men in an enclosed space. But, how could he not think on it?! How could he not think of her?!
Arthur hadn't even noticed when Godfrey called his name, not until he said it for the third time that Arthur finally snapped out of it. And finally, the meeting was over! Arthur thanked all the men before saying he had matters to attend to and left it at that. Truthfully, he had a wife to attend to which didn't make his words that far of a lie. He walked immediately to his room, relieved that there was no interruption and once he opened the door, saw Guinevère holding one of his shirts as she approached him. He brightly smiled, the door closed behind them as his arms welcomed her, wrapping around her.
He closed the distance, kissing her slowly, deeply, breathing into the kiss as if she was breathing back the life and joy into him. He let it linger, prolong, until he eased out of it, knowing it would only be the first of many. "My wife," he greeted in response, loving the way the word sounded as it fell from his lips . . . just as he enjoyed hearing her say the word husband. "I know you are beautiful in anything you wear but I'm not sure my shirt would do you justice," he said in teasing, opening the dialogue of why she had his shirt. He hoped she wasn't planning on doing laundry . . . that was Merlin's job.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Arthur wished he could hold her forever. He wished they could go somewhere private and that he could explain everything to her. But . . . time was of the essence. They weren't completely out of the darkness yet. Still. He could not help but selfishly bask in the warmth of her embrace. Just as it often did when with Guinevère, the rest of the world faded and she became the centre of his. Yet, this reunion was unlike all the others. All the other close calls, and fear of losing each other. For, he had truly been lost. He had died. His resurrection was still something that baffled the king despite the explanation Merlin gave.
When she drew back, Arthur looked into her eyes. The same softness that was reserved for Guinevère. Only Guinevère. He raised a hand to wipe a few tears away from her cheek, slightly smiling before it faded. He wanted to speak to her, to reassure her, but soon enough, he could practically feel everyone's eyes burning on him. He turned at the man who approached. Percival. Arthur gave a small smile but it was clear on the man's face that he didn't quite know what to make of Arthur. Taking a slow breath, he turned so that he was facing everyone before him, though still stood next to Guinevère. "I know you all have questions," he announced to them. "And they will be answered." He could promise them that too. That he would explain them to the best of his ability, even if he could not truly understand the extent of magic.
"But we are not yet out of the darkness." There was still threat upon them. "Merlin--" Emrys, apparently, but to Arthur, he would always be Merlin. Speaking of his magic was not something Arthur was used to so it still felt odd, but he showed no sign of the discomfort. Perhaps discomfort, wasn't even the right word. "Is pushing their forces out as we speak." With, magic yet Arthur figured everyone would already know that. "Let us lend aid in the task and show them the true strength of the knights of Camelot." He could see the confusion dwindle, placed on hold as everyone was reminded of the threat of Saxons. Arthur reached down for his sword, holding it up high in the air.
"For the love of Camelot!" The knights chanted it back and turned to charge out of the city and ensure the castle was protected. Arthur then took advantage of the fact that he had a moment alone with Guinevère . . . and Percival, who still seemed shocked and hesitant. Rightfully so. "I know the impossibility of this," he acknowledged, well aware of how difficult this was to believe. But he wished to assure them that there was no trickery. No evil ploy at hand. "My return was . . . prophecized." He wasn't sure if that answered or raised more questions. "That when Albion's need was greatest, the king would return." And with the threat of Saxons and who knew what else, he was glad for it . . . seeing the danger Guinevère had been put in and knowing, it was his actions -- and inactions -- that had placed her in such danger.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT Shock filled the room. Arthur couldn't say he was surprised. It was understandable. He had even been shocked when he was practically risen from the dead. But he did not relieve his stance; in fact, he didn't budge at all. Completely still. Completely guarded. Watchful, ensuring no one tried a move. And then . . . it finally happened. Guinevère's words filled the air mixed with the Saxon leader's. Two opposite orders. One to protect. One to kill. Arthur immediately raised his weapon to block the first attack, as the rest of the knights -- Percival included -- found with what seemed like renewed strength and purpose. The sea of red capes overcoming the dark coloured attire of their enemies, and the Saxon's numbers dwindled while the floor of the throne room starting to become covered with bodies.
Arthur's eyes kept watch of the leader, but he became scarce . . . until he was completely gone. The king didn't have time to search for he defended each attack, striking down each enemy, and all the while, keeping his eyes on Guinevère to make sure that she was out of harm's way. Instinctively, he controlled the fight. Manoeuvring it so that each threat he eliminated, he took a step closer to Guinevère, until he stood in front of her, his back facing her. Enough space in between them so that she was not within distance of his sword nor in harm's way. But close enough so that he could serve as a shield should anyone try to make a move towards her. The cries of battle echoed in the room, until it became to diminish. More and more. Arthur pulled the sword out of what he belatedly realized was the last body, watching it crumble lifelessly to the floor.
And then . . . there was silence. An almost eerie silence as he felt all eyes on him once more. Part of him wanted to go after Erikson. The other part of him . . . knew he needed to be here. He then, finally turned to look at Guinevère. Eyes taking in her sight, relief continuing to wash over him to see . . . that she was alright. That she was safe. That . . . he had almost been too late. Truth was he didn't even know what to say to her. What could he say. He had been gone . . . dead for a year. He couldn't ever imagine losing her and yet, he had broken all those promises of always being there with her. Of never leaving her. So once again, instinct and emotion took over as his sword fell from his grasp, and he took only a couple of steps towards her while wrapping his arms around her, and hugging his wife.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT On the way to the city, Merlin filled him in on all that had happened. The conversation about Merlin's magic was also a necessary one and while Arthur knew it would take time to get used to it, there were more pressing concerns. Arthur could see it from a distance. The way the Saxons had taken over. War had taken over. Again. The fear of what could -- and may have -- happened to Guinevère made his steps hurried and determined. Fortunately, with Merlin at his side, they were able to get to the citadel, and well, Arthur would leave the rest to him. His duty, was to the queen.
Discovery that they had taken over the castle only made him more desperate. He charged through whatever Saxon stood in his way -- magic helping him with the aid of his companion -- until he made it to the entrance of the castle. Arthur knew that there would be more Saxons in the city than the castle itself so his magic was better suited there. So he made his way through, slaying any man that came in his way. There was only one logical place that they would be and when Arthur came across the Saxons in the hall way by the closed door, he knew that was where their leader was. He only hoped -- prayed -- that he was not too late. The clanging of swords filled the otherwise silent hall and when the fourth man fell, Arthur pulled his sword from him and faced the door. With his arms gripped on the hilt of the mythical sword, he raised his foot and kicked the door open, immediately stepping through it.
The first person he saw . . . was Guinevère. And relief did not even begin to describe how he felt. She was alive, and with a quick look, she was unharmed. As was Percival. Though . . . Arthur had to remind himself that his return was . . . unexpected. Though while he felt no passage of time, it had apparently been a year since . . . his death. His eyes went to who he presumed to be the leader, a look of anger on his face as the men that surrounded him stood in a stance that showed they were ready to fight. Arthur supposed now was good a time as any to introduce himself. "I am Arthur Pendragon," he announced. "King of Camelot." Because . . . he was apparently the Once and Future king. This, being the future he assumed. "And you will stand down." His voice full of authority and warning. For as Merlin took care of the city, Arthur would deal with the origin of this threat: their leader.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT When she shifted her position, causing him to pull out of her, he immediately felt the absence of her heart, only to be warmed by her body as she nestled close to him. His arm moved to welcome her, wrapping around her shoulders as he held her close. His fingers playing with a lock of her curly hair as he lazily twirled it around his finger while she offered the same sensation, toying with his. He chuckled at her words, saying that he was not good at taking orders.
"I wasn't that bad," he playfully protested. "I didn't touch you when you told me not to . . . " He paused for a moment. "For the most part," he added on jokingly -- though it was true. "And then, I seem to remember you rather adamantly telling me to touch you." Another tease, knowing it had been in the moment and well, he longed for nothing else. Even if she didn't say the words, he probably would have still touched her. "There's just no pleasing you," he said with the same playful teasing in his voice.

Tag: Lancelot Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT A new era was upon them. Against all odds, they had defeated an immortal army and Morgana was no where to be found. The wounds of her betrayal had formed scars, perhaps never truly to heal, yet Arthur knew he had to press on: for the good of the kingdom. His father was unwell, and there was no telling if he would recover. It was within a couple of days since they regained Camelot, and he still had not moved from his bed. It pained Arthur to see him like this . . . despite the lies of his father. Despite the rifts that had formed within his family. But still. He could not let his own emotions hinder him from the task before him. The task . . . of being king. Acting king at least, for Uther still drew breath.
The last time Arthur had taken this role -- when Cenred had attacked and his father had been going mad -- Arthur had been, resistant. This time, he knew it was necessary. And this allowed him to keep strong in the decisions he made, that he knew his father would never agree with. Such as, knighting the men of non noble blood. Arthur was speaking to each and every one of them, and that brought him to the doors of Lancelot's chambers. Lancelot had him had a past that was different form the others. Though, Arthur supposed his history with each of the men was all unique. Still. Without them, Arthur would not be here. Camelot would not be what it was. He owed them everything, and would offer all he could.
To Lancelot, he knew the man had always dreamed of being a knight, and as Arthur did with all the rest, he wished to speak to him alone. To ensure him that his position here was safe, stable . . . and to ensure he was settling in alright. Though with Lancelot, Arthur also wished to ensure there was no . . . tension between them. For as Arthur previously reconized, his history with Lancelot was . . . different, because of a certain someone. And so, standing outside of his chambers in the castle -- granted to each of the newly appointed knights -- Arthur knocked on the door, waiting for him to answer or grant permission for Arthur to do so.

Tag: Guinevère Note: Better layout coming soon! for the love OF CAMELOT It would be a lie to say that Arthur was not enjoying this. The way her hand brushed over him -- even if it was purposefully aimed to take measurements -- there was still something rather comforting about her touch. She told him that she needed to measure a lot of him . . . and that after she was done measurements for the shirts, she would move on to his trousers. "Oh," he said nonchalantly. That is, until realization dawned on him.
"Oh," he repeated this time in a tone that demonstrated that awareness of where her hands were be. "The last woman who took my measurements for clothing was my mother." He paused for a moment . . . unsure why he had even said that for it did not compare; it was a totally different scenario. "Which is . . . obviously completely different." To now. Oh dear. He was starting to ramble wasn't he?! "To, this." He was making it worse. "To you." Where was a sock to put in his mouth when he needed one?! He just cleared his throat, eyes glancing at the ceiling as if to will himself to stop talking.
