Yes, he could have--but not because he was trying to hurt her. "You missed, that is all that matters now. There is no way you could have known." HOW he missed, she didn't know. Arthur never missed. Yet, he'd missed that day. He hugged her, and Guinevère wrapped her arms around him, and held him. It took her a few moments before she could reply. She looked at the ring on her finger, knowing that he had found it, but she'd assumed Merlin had.
"I lost it when she casted the spell." She explained, "It was all I had left . . . the only thing I had that I cared about." Pulling away, she wanted he it know, "I would never had just lost it. I cherished it!" Since it was his mother's, she needed him to know that!
He had asked about Merlin, but the ring had been more important in that moment. "Yes, He must have found out somehow, for he was there waiting when I woke up. He'd bandaged me, and had new clothes for me." She wondered if Merlin hadn't known he found the ring, and just kept her secret? Why else would he not explain where he had been?

Guienvere felt him pull back and unlace his trousers. Her eyes drifted down over his chest, and down his abs as they came to rest on the laces. She watched them slowly unlace, and his cock slide out. She looked away, up to his face while he pushed out of them. She felt a nervous tremble in her hand, as she moved it to rest on his arm. She knew he'd never hurt her, but she'd heard so many things about this . . . .
Arthur told her that he loved her, and she smiled up at him. That was easy to believe. She knew he loved her! Pushing into her she felt him stretching her, and filling her! Her eyes closed and her hands tightened around him! There was a sharp twinge, but then only fullness! Exhaling loudly it turned to a soft moan. One hand dropped to rest on his hip, and her knees drew tight against time!
And now, she was his wife in truth! Breathing deepening, and quicker, Guinevère felt her muscled around his cock tighten, trying to adjust to accommodate him. "Arthur," she breathed his name, almost begging him to move and give her ease! It hurt, in the best sort of way! The pressure building up wonderfully!

Guinevère was loving this! It was everything she'd never dreamed that love making could be! It was so much more then she'd expected, and they weren't even done. She licked her lips as she could only work on breathing and feeling, as his hand slide up over her legs and into the vee of her thighs! She felt so wet there, and she knew it was to help her ready for him. Yet, the pressure building into a tight pitch, or inch she didn't know how to ease was new.
Her eyes closed at his touched, and her breath hitched! He was touching her, finally, after years of only dreaming about it! His fingers were strong, and bold, and she loved it! His lips on her neck should ave distracted her, but they only made the ache grow more! The pressure between her legs built more, even as his fingers gave her some ease. Making her eyes open, to look at him she watched his face. "I want to see you," she told him, "I want to feel you!" She wanted his trousers off, so she could feel him resting against her. She knew what he looked like, and of his size. Apart of her worried her, the size of a king; but the other part of her knew he'd fit and she wanted that too!

She liked his response, but fouces on the end of it before the beginning of it. Were they going to make him? Surely he knew that as king, there wasn't anything anyone would make him do? She tried not to smile at his words. "Arthur, you are a king now. No one can make you do anything you do not wish to do." She told him.
Stepping closer still she reached out to touch his arm. "I only spoke of it because I know being a king is something I couldn't imagine. You will get to define what the laws are, and how the kingdom will grow. If you do that by seeking out an marriage that would help it, I wouldn't . . . .I would understand." However, "Yet I too think that happiness is worth more then coin and land." That the chance of love was worth the risk.
"I'd like . . . I'd like to still---I mean if you still---" How did one ask a king to fall in love with her? "I'd like to go with you them." To his village. "I'd like a tour." And so much more.

Guinevère walked down the hall and paused to speak to one of her friends, Sefa. "Are you alright?" Things had been off of late with everyone having slept under a spell. She heard his voice coming from around the corner, and excused herself. Sefa went on, and Guinevère waited. She didn't like how her heart speed up a little bit at his voice. She hated herself for it. She hated how her blood moved a little stronger in her body.
Because he was her husband's friend. Lancelot, was a knight. Sort of. She'd met him when she helped him pose as a noble, and become a knight. She loved him! So she'd thought. She did, still! It was hard to explain. For shortly before her wedding, Arthur Pendragon posed as a citizen and stayed in her home--and while she loved her husband, she'd come to realize there were levels of love. And she hated herself for knowing the difference.
When he turned to corner, alone!, she felt her heart jump! "Sire," she greeted, always using that formality to hide the fact that her heart was in her eyes when she looked at him. "I wanted . . . I wanted to thank you." When the kingdom had fallen asleep, she had been in the middle of the room. When she awoken it had been in a bed, comfortable. She knew who moved her. Without asking, she knew. She didn't even question how she knew.

Guinevère smiled at his words, seeming to doubt her earlier thoughts but not quite ready to let it go. "Are you sure?" She asked, not wanting to feel as if she expected anything to happen. She hadn't pushed him to be king to give herself an advantage. She did it because she believed he'd be a better king then Morgana--and then believed he'd be the best king for the kingdom!
Stepping closer, she looked up at him. "You don't wish to marriage a princess?" She asked, wanting to be with him, but knowing that he might have pressures or something might change. "A princess might bring you more. Land, or coin, and an alliance you might need?" Guinevère hadn't kissed him since the sword was pulled, and that was because she was waiting for him to make his choice--and apparently he had? With her in mind too? It humbled her, and she needed to be sure before she let hope bloom.

Guinevère, or Gwen to most, pulled her purple cloak around her and paused to the look in the mirror. These past few days had been hard, but she was glad to be home. Smiling at herself she turned and walked out and headed to the castle. She paused to buy some flowers, and then continued on her way, while using the bright flowers to help cheer her up. Pausing she gave a few flowers to come little girls, before she finally entered the gates.
She'd been back in Camelot for a few days since the kidnapping, and today was her first full day back. As she entered the courtyard she heard her name being called. Pausing she turned to look over at the sound. Gwen gave Lucas Williams a small down of her head, and then stood up to wait for him to come closer. "Sir Lucas," she greeted, noticing that he seemed to be coming from training. Which made her wonder who was down there. She wouldn't ask, but in her mind she wondered. Was it him?

"So the king is in my debt now," she teased him, as they walked, since he had teased her saying she was in his debt. Not that she believed either owed a debt to the other. It was all in fun, just like it was before at his village . . . Which made her remember she needed to stop flirting with him. He was the king after all. She was a servant, and this couldn't be.
He was going back!? For a visit she hoped. "Arthur," she hesitated, slowing her step while they were alone. "I'd love to go, but . . . you're a king now. People will judge you by who you are seen with." And she was Morgana's servant, turned his servant? Or a servant in the castle maybe. "I am not sure that I would be appropriate." Though she wanted nothing more then to be his friend. TO be more then his friend. "I promised to follow you whenever you went, and I will. However that might be."

Guinevère felt his lips moved over her skin, moving down to her breast. She inhaled sharply as he did, and her head pressed int he pillow from the unfamiliar sensations! Added too it was his hand on her thigh, as she felt her skin goosebumps, and a shiver move over her spine! Feeling his breath, and his lips on a place no one but he had ever touched was so overwhelming! Yet she wanted more at the same moment!
Her fingers lifted and tangled into his hair, as she held on to him! She wanted to touch him as well! Her other hand moved over his back, tracing a path down his ribs to where the skin met the trousers, before drawing back up over his back, and ribs, until she reached his shoulder! Her fingers bunched the skin there, and she loved the strength of it. "This feels wonderful!" She whispered too him, wanting him to know that she loved it! Loved him!

"It will take time for everyone to build faith in the Pendragon name," she corrected herself, knowing what he meant about the cape. He had refused to wear it that night before he left. He refused to wear it now. The color or the seal, or the cape. Yet he wore the crown, and that was the first step to changing the minds of everyone--the people and himself.
"You owe a debt?" She asked, while trying to think of how since he'd not been to the city other then the once before. Oh! "I owe a debt!" She corrected, again with a small laugh at realizing what he meant. He wanted to see the market, and the town, and the people. Her chin lifted with pride as she looked over at him; "Well then, I better make sure to pay my debts."
Looking around she decided which way would be best, and then gestured at a path they'd almost just passed. "Lets go down this way," Moving with him there, she explained, "It will keep us from going through the market. We can save that for last since everyone will wish to speak with you!" Especially while he walked with the crown on! Though she wasn't going to let him remove it until everyone knew who he was! "This is a path used by the tavern there, and the baker there, to move their supplies in and out without filling the street. However, during mid-day it's a short cut I used to take to the citadel for work."
They were out from prying eyes for the moment, in the shadowed back way, so she spoke freely. "You know, our last one was cut short," she reminded of how they'd ended it swiftly, when she realized who he was. "I never did apologize for how I handled that. I hadn't expected to find you."

Guinevère felt is heated hand slit up over her bare skin of her thigh, and his lips at her shoulder! He was removing her shift a little at a time; and the anticipation was both maddening and delicious! It made her ache and almost throb from need for him. Finally, he pulled the rest of it over her head, and she was bare to him. Guinevère laid back on the bed, and watched him toss it too the side and look at her. She wanted to cover herself, but she trusted him and there was no fear.
Lifting her leg slightly, she felt him really settled between her legs now. Inhaling sharply from the realization that nothing but his trousers kept them from touching, she tightened her legs against his hips. They were getting closer, and closer, but unhurried. "We are beyond my knowledge," she told him, as she knew how to kiss him, and touch him when they were crassing each other; but now, with them moving past it, she wasn't sure she knew how to make this good for him. She'd been honest when she told him that she'd never done this before!

Guinevère looked up from his embrace, so she could stay in his arms and still see his face. "There are many people out there who seek power, and gold. They will always try to harm you or the kingdom. As long as we are together, we can be stronger." Learn from their past, and be stronger when the next attack comes; then love would always over power hate.
Arthur asked about her in the woods, and Guinevère's soft smile faded slightly. "You did," she began taking his hands in her own. Her story would not be an easy one. "Let us sit," she began, pulling on his hand to move them to sit on the edge of the bed together. "I was working on a farm, when Helios attacked it looking for men. They killed many but he spared me." For pleasure. She thought about that time there. How she knew no one would come for her. She was completely alone there. She'd really lost everyone then.
"He favored me, and asked me to join him for supper . . . well, told me too. Morgana interrupted the supper. I was so far from home, and dressed . . . unlike me. She didn't look lose, and didn't know it was me. I over heard her plan, and saw the map she had. I knew that I had to warn you, so I ran." She'd clung to his ring that night. Knowing it was all she had left, and that she had to pull his courage and strength from it.
Her voice was slow, and almost distant as she looked at their linked hands, the rings on their fingers. She knew she should look at him, but the feelings she had then--that she didn't blame him for--were still so strong even years later. She'd never felt more alone and afraid in her life. She never would.
"You were with the princess. Hunting. I was running from Helios, and Morgana. They were there too, but not as close. To keep me from giving you the warning, Morgana cast another spell." Her voice was soft, almost hesitant as she thought about these times. Her hand tightened on his, both because she needed his support, and because he would need hers. "She turned me into a deer."
Guinevère pulled his hand over her leg where there was a scar there. Smaller then she assumed it would be. "You missed. She didn't." There was no accusation there. Only an acceptance of what happened. She knew there was no way Arthur could have known. Yet it was in this moment that she realized . . . Merlin somehow had. "I don't remember how i got away, but when I woke Merlin was there. It was dark, and he'd built a fire. He bandaged my leg, and sent me to his mother. Said I'd be safe there." And she was, until Arthur showed up.

"There are there because they want to be. Because they believe in you, and what they know you can do for the kingdom." Guinevère reminded him, knowing that this was new, and happening so quickly for him; yet it was what he was born for. Even if he didn't believe it, yet. They believed it. Even if all he did was work toward peace, it was more then what the people had seen from a ruler in a while.
A guard stopped him, and Arthur ignored the warning. As they walked out she saw a few follow at a distance behind them, just in case. "Their job is to protect you," she told him, knowing it would take him for him begin giving orders. As they walked the halls, and out of the castle, she wondered where he was taking them. People bowed and stared as they walked past. Looking up at his crown, then down at his face she finally answered, "You were brilliant! You could feel the hope growing in the room!" Looking back where she was walking, Guinevère clapped her hands before her as they moved. "Morgana was . . . . a hard ruler. Uther took the kingdom by force, and kept a strong hold on it. He did a lot of good for the kingdom, but he was swift with punishment. Morgana learned from that, I think. She only knew that people obeyed fear."
"Knowing you seek peace, and given time to see you honor life will make the people love you. It will take time, but they will see the good you can do!" Which brings her to a question, "What will be the king's first order?" She asked, a slight tease in her voice.

Guinevère heard his last words, and leaned forward to kiss him. She didn't hesitate, just lean forward and kissed him! His words meant the world to her! They were true, and she knew them to be for his actions spoke louder then his words. He'd given it up, for her, even when he wasn't ready to see her. Years later, he made sure she knew he forgave her; and loved hr completely! Even knowing there wasn't anything to forgive now, his actions meant to the world to her.
"There is something good from this," she told him, "Yesterday." Where they moved on. "Yesterday we proved that were stronger then a spell. That your love was stronger then a spell. That is the part I will hold on to." And somehow she would find a way to move on from the rest. It would take time, but she'd find a way. Because Arthur was still here, and still loved her!
"That night came close to ruining everything, but we are stronger then Morgana's hate." They were still on the floor, and she reached for his hands, standing on he could stand too; and then she moved into his arms. Where she belonged!

"For the love of Camelot!" She echoed the others, smiling at his speech because he spoke openly, and honestly, and it was everything the people needed to hear! It was the best speech a king had given, and she'd heard many! Short, but one that was honest rather then one that was trying to serve a hidden goal!
Arthur walked over to his friends, but they weren't given his attention as knights, and nobles and so many others all came up to speak to him. Guinevère stayed close, talking to her friends--especially the new ones and her brother! It was not long after everyone was beginning to enjoy themselves when she heard him ask, "Would you like to come outside with me?" in a low voice. Smiling, she agreed. Deciding to give as good as she got, Guinevère teased her knew friends before leaving. "You're in charge of babysitting him while I gone. Keep him from the women and the ale," she teased making the men laugh, while Gwaine put his hand over his heart and swore she was the only woman he saw!
Turning to walk beside Arthur, Guinevère smiled up at him. "I like your friends," she told him, loving their playfulness. After so long of darkness, this was the happiest she'd been in forever!

"I had not exactly made Camelot feel welcome to you." No, but he had reason too, since at the time they both believed she'd betrayed him for another. He had been fair, since his Uncle had wanted him to kill her."I would never see you harmed, Guinevère." She knew, and she told him do. "I know. I never believed you would." Even if she'd come back, she knew it wouldn't be her life.
"All I wanted was a reason . . . and had I known magic was involved . . . " It was then she realized that they'd both had thought she'd done. Neither of them believed this was far from who she was, enough to think of magic was the reason. She couldn't expect him to have though so, if she couldn't either. Everyone had thought she'd done it. The knights that had walked her from the cell to the throne room had pushed her to her knees. None of her friends had come to say goodbye. They'd all sided with Arthur. Knowing now that she'd been under a spell--hurt worse then it had before. A tear fell over her cheek, at the reminder of how alone she'd felt for so long.
This is what she feared, the knew layers of emotions that would take over old memories. "I thought . . . " She looked at him, but he wasn't looking at her. Reaching forward she gently turned his face back to her own. Yes, it was easy to look away from each other, but they had proven they were stronger then that. "It would have been for the best." Perhaps it was. At the time. "I only hurt her in the end," A lot of people were hurt over one spell. Morgana's mark had been true. "It was a mistake. I knew I could not marry another. That I could never love another." And there was the silver living.
"Words that prove true, even years later." She told him softly, holding on to that more then the hurt. Because even when they did believe her to be unfaithful, and to have broken her promises--he loved her still. Guinevère wanted to look away, but after asking him to look at her when he spoke of hard things, she knew it wouldn't be fair. "I saw you together," she told him, knowing that he wouldn't have seen her. She had been under another spell at the time, and this time it had made her a deer. "I wouldn't have blamed you for seeking happiness." Yet she'd not gone back, because it had hurt too much. "You deserve it . . . more then most."

Guinevère pulled his shit off, and her eyes took in his bare chest. She'd seen it before, even placed a kiss on it before, but never knowing it would lead to much, much more. Leaning forward she closed her eyes and rested her forehead there, breathing in the scent of him. The heat of him. Her breath brushed his skin, and her lips placed a soft kiss there; before he lowered himself to lift her!
Arthur lifted up Guinevère and placed her on his bed--their bed! She felt the softness behind her--again something she'd felt before, but never for these reasons! Never with so little on! Never with him moving above her, while he kissed away ever fear she'd had!
Needing to find something to hold her to the ground, something to give her purchase as she built feeling in side her that made her feel as if she would fly away! Guinevère parted her legs to allow him to rest between them--and OH! the feeling of his weight on her; pressing his hard body into her softer one--even though the clothes they still wore--made her ache and pressure build. "I've seen you naked before," she told him, reaching for the shift she wore, and pulling it up over her hips, and higher. He'd need to help her since she was laying back. Since she'd seen him naked before--it was (finally) his turn.

This was it! This was it! This was it! The chant in her mind came over and over as the doors opened! Arthur walked in and and she found her face smiling! He would be king! He was already a king, but this would proclaim to everyone that Arthur Pendragon was the king of Camelot; and he was king by destiny and blood! He had the sword from the stone to prove it!
Her skin broke out into goosebumps and she watched as he walked down, and keeled before someone for the last time! He spoke the words, and then . . . . he was king! Leon's voice rose out to begin the chant, and then the room filled with a chorse of words that filled the halls with a wonderful sound! "Long live the king!" Arthur's eyes found her's and she smiled, her chin going up in pride as he stood there with the crown! She blinked away the tears that prickled her eyes and clapped her hands together once, before holding them to her heart that beat so hard!
This was everything she'd wanted for him, but would never had (again) asked it of him! Yet seeing him there now, a king, she also knew this was where she had to let him go.
The room grew quite, and everyone began staring at him. It was time for his first words as king! She could see his face, and knew he wasn't comfortable with this, even though he hid it well. Everyone looked at him now, waiting to see if he would give them hope, as she knew he would! Guinevère smiled up at him, with more an understanding smile at his discomfort, then an expectant one. It was time to be the light int he darkness.

This touch turned into a kiss, and Guinevère kissed him back. He was moving her backwards, and for a moment she had a sharp feeling of both anticipation and nervousness, thinking he would put her on the bed; yet instead he lowered her there to sit. Then the king of Camelot kneeled at her feet, letting his hands trail down over her legs to reach her shoes. He removed first one and then the other shoe. Watching him take such care with her, made her heart beat harder. She loved his man! He was her husband now!
He reached for his coat, and she reached forward to cover his hand. "Can I?" She asked, wanting to undress her husband as she'd dreamed of being to him before. She reached for his hand, and waited for him to stand once more, as she reached for the buckles that held his jacket on. She undid the first one, and then the second one. And then the next. Slowly it reviled his white shirt under it. taking hold of the labels, she pushed it off his shoulders, she let it fall. She'd seen him thus before, but it felt different this time. It was leading to something this time. Leaning forward she kissed his collar bone, and then his neck, and then his jaw. Her hand then went to the shirt, pulling it from his trousers, and up over his body.

Guinevère st on the floor still, and listened as he talked about what he was told, and how much he didn't know. He hadn't known she was hurt--which meant he didn't know she was Helios' prisoner. If Merlin hadn't told him that was she there. She looked down, her head swimming so much from everything that was happening today. For two days in a row she'd woken up feeling wonderful and then ended up crying and hugging her husband. Her heart broke for them both, and for this it should have been swelling.
Would have had believed him if Merlin said the news came from Guinevère? She didn't know how Arthur felt toward her then. She had gotten some hope from his hug in Eldor, but afterwards he still didn't wish to talk to her. She was glad she'd not come back. She didn't think she could have faced even, even now knowing it was a spell. That day in the woods, his words had hurt almost as much as they had that night. She'd taken them, thinking she'd deserved them because she'd hurt him. She missed getting to be there with him as he pulled the fabled sword from the stone. A tell she'd not heard until then, but she'd not dared go up to him then.
"I do not think either of us were ready to see the other," she told him, echoing her thoughts. Her hand lifted to touch his cheek. "Though I see now I should have been braver and came to you myself. Maybe it would have changed things?"
She moved toward him slightly, so she could better face him. Her mind calming some to let her better think, though right now she still feared that once she begin thinking she would wish she hadn't. The layers of of hurt that was just behind the shock would be more then she could handle. "You had a princess here, perhaps he didn't wish to make things harder?"
