The men all watched him intently, waiting for him to make a move that would either be his last. Or one that may grant him more moments of his life. Even if it was still temporarily. For they had no intention of letting him be on his way. Not after the hostility that they had shown. The men made the wiser decision to hold his daggers in a motion of surrender. It was culturally universal, and it was well comprehended by the warriors. Once any act of surrender was given, then they knew what would be next. Take him as a prisoner. A couple of the men cautiously stepped forward, still distrusting of the man.
They slowly extended their hands, while the other gripped the handle of their swords tightly. Then, they took his weapons, and simultaneously, two men from behind covered his eyes with a blindfold. But it was not enough. In addition to the blindfold, they placed a thick sack over his head, and words of a foreign language were exchanged. He was thrown onto a horse, and the thundering of horse's hooves, slightly muted by the softness of the sand they rode on, filled the otherwise silent air. When they arrived at their camp, they grabbed the man off the horse and led him to a tent, where he was thrown inside, and his hands bound on the pole that held the tent up.
They ensured the knots were tight, even if it burned through his wrists. Then, they left him. For hours, no one returned. After the passage of a few hours, a man;s voice could be heard as he entered the tent. He pulled the back and blindfold off the man and just stared at him, before exiting the tent, offering no words to the stranger. Only that gesture. Only a few minutes later, a woman entered. A woman, carrying a tray of food with a pitcher of water and a cup on it. Mirela gracefully entered the tent, stepping inside with ease and no fear. A kind smile on her lips.
"Greetings," she said, her voice laced with her accent. "I do apologize for the poor treatment you have suffered," Was she truly sorry? Not really. Because this was not new to them or her. It was practically protocol. She stepped closer toward him, moving to rest on her knees as she positioned herself in front of the man. Seeing him closely, she studied his features. Strong, handsome, and very far away from home. "My name is Mirela. I come with food and drink for you," she said to him, gesturing to the tray before her eyes met his lighter colored ones.

The air was still, the heat nearly unbearable as the flaming sun was at its peak. But this was the lifestyle they were accustomed to. Which worked in their favor. And against those who crossed their boundaries. Like right now. They were prepared, never unaware of travelers that roamed their land. If the scorching sun did not claim their lives, then their fate would rest in the tribe's hands. Two wanderers had crossed their boundary lines and they had to gain their positions.
Waiting for the opportune moment, the exact point that would grant them the greatest advantage and maximize their clever strategic plan. Lying still, they waited and waited... until the two foreigners were in position. In a sudden motion, men leaped from deep within the sand, having used the resource as their concealment. They surrounded the two men, enclosing them in a perfect circle as their blades were pulled and their darkened robes and foreign attire was dripping with grains of sand. The men looked surprised yet this came as no surprise to the attackers.
One of the outsiders, swung his sword, foolishly in the height of surprise and in the end, his life was swiftly claimed by one of the men's curved blade that slit his throat as easily as one may have sliced a piece of paper. All points of their blades were drawn to the single survivor, daring him to move forward and attack any one of them. For he was massively outnumbered, and each warrior was confident enough to know that no single man was a match for the group of a dozen of them.

Hello Mirela, and welcome!!!!!
I would to make a thread with your character, as it looks interesting. My characters are open to you. You can do a thread with Princess Polyxena, a young sweet princess, or with Alex, a young noble man who love adventures, to flirt and his violin!
Tell me you want or not!!!! Hello! I would be very interested in having a thread with your character/s. Do you have a preference was to which one you would prefer to have a thread with Mirela? If not, then perhaps we can do both even! Since Polyxeni is a princess, I imagine she would not find herself in the desert? Though perhaps Alex would? Maybe stumble across her clan of people? Or I can have Mirela in Graecia and we can have them meet somehow there? I am sorry if this is not very helpful. Thank you however for the kind reply and I am looking forward to have threads with you!

Hi Everyone =) I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a thread with Mirela. She is a bit of a different character, with a strong unique culture and strong unique customs. I will not go into detail in this post, but it is all in my bio. Anyway, I was hoping to
get started here and therefore, would like to ask if any other fabulous character would like a thread. Her clan mostly lives in the desert (in an isolated, difficult to find area unless one accidentally stumbles upon it). But she also does some traveling to various villages, towns and cities. If you would like a thread, please either reply to this post. Or send me a Personal Message. Thank you ~ Mirela

| ~ • ~ | Character Basics | ~ • ~ |
.:Name of Character:. Mirela Athalia .:Nick Name:. None as of yet .:Age:. 20 .:Status:. technically Royalty (but with a different social heirarchy)
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Mirela is tall and possesses a slender figure. She has skin that is naturally darker giving her an exotic appearance and beauty. Her eyes are large and brown, always outlined with black liner (kohl) and long dark eyelashes to frame them. Her hair is long, black and thick. Her dress is also of a foreign appearance, though native to her roots. When out in the sun, she usually has a veil on and enjoys dresses in rich colors. .:Height:. 5"7' .:Portrayed by:. Morena Baccarin
| ~ • ~ | Personality | ~ • ~ |
.:Personality:. Mirela is used to being the only woman in a large group so for that reason, is accustomed to attention. She is a curious individual, though also sheltered from the dangers of the world. While she does not crave adventure and straying from what she knows, she enjoys learning when foreigners cross their paths. Knowledge is very important to her as is her culture and traditions. She also enjoys traveling when they must change their location and every now and then is also able to visit the men's families, for it is part of her role to bestow a blessing on any daughters they may have.
He has a strong natural elegance and poise and overall calm demeanor making her appear very refined. She speaks softly but confidently, and does not to an excessive amount of it. She likes to keep her personal life extremely private, mostly to outsiders and those within her clan are extremely protective of one another and do not always welcome foreigners when they enter their boundaries, whether they are aware of it or not. She has a sense of vanity, enjoying dressing in lavish clothing with makes her stand out even more as the only woman in her group. With this role, also comes other responsibilities. Not ones that people would normally assume (such as cooking and cleaning). When an outsider enters their land, Mirela is often sent to learn more about them and their intentions. She is sent as the timid, welcoming, hospitable and naive woman that she pretends to be, if only to gain information from them. She can be quite good at playing this role and making a person feel at ease, even if how she projects herself is not her true nature. .:Strengths:. Extracting information from people in the most innocent of ways, can make a person feel instantly comfortable in her presence (which to come can possibly be to an unnerving extent), magic (which is elaborated in the below section) .:Weaknesses:. Can be too confident sometimes, her vanity, not having fully experienced what the world has to offer .:Magic Abilities:. Her people are of magical origin. As the sole woman, she is expected to carry on the traditions of her mother, and which spells are performed are based on which sex a person is. Mirela is well versed in spells of curses and smite. She knows other basic spells but should an enemy make an escape, she is often able to eliminate them as a threat. This can be a very dangerous power and so she does not perform such strong spells frivolously. But it is her duty in protecting her people and so will do what is necessary without remorse or guilt. It is also part of her duty to visit the men's families in their homes (which are often located in villages, towns and cities well away from their current camp) and bestow a blessing on the daughters of the men shortly after they are born. This spell is meant to protect them and keep them safe. .:Special Skills:. Playing the role she is meant to in her society .:Accents:. A unique accent, most simialarily described to that of an arabic one
| ~ • ~ | History | ~ • ~ |
.:Birthplace:. Athalia .:Family:. Father, Mother (deceased), .:Occupation:. Not one specific one, she does a variety of things .:Current Location of Residence:. A desert land .:History:. Mirela was born into the ruling family Athalia. The soverign of her land is not like kings and queens in other kingdoms. Her family has been in this position of authority of generations, yet this position was not acquired through force or pressure. Her father remains a respected elder in the land, and Mirela stays by his side as his only child of blood. Athalia is an area in the desert, well secluded and isolated so that it can not be easily found if sought out, unless accidentally stumbled upon. They travel if they feel their position is compromised, so Athalia is more or less not the land they live on, but exists wherever the people do. They are a tribe, consisting of men well trained in combat, however do not intiate combat. They only defend themselves. Their traditions are unknown to many and they are always wary and skeptical of people who cross their land. They have many tactics that are foreign to most and allow them to protect their land and each other.
Their lives are simplistic as they have no castles or markets. They live in tents and caves, using resources that are brought to them by those designated to get them. While they are warriors, they also use magic to protect themselves. This is where Mirela's position comes into play. Her family are the main, if not sole, practitioners or magic in their culture. Her father has a vast and strong knowledge of magic, and Mirela is still learning. She was however taught at an early age how to perform curses on other people. If anyone who is a threat is not near, all she needs is a piece of then (i.e a strand of their hair, etc) or something they touched in order to administer the curse. This is her role as the sole woman of the tribe and performs it diligently.
Mirela is very attached to her father and does not wish to leave him. Her father welcomes her company, though knows one day she must marry and start a new chapter in her life rather than take care of him. The survival of their tribe is dependant on the families that the men have. Because they are nomadic, many travel at different times to visit their families, so long as there is a certain number left to protect their tribe. It is expected for the son of these men to join Athalia and become warriors to carry on their father's tradition. Mirela on the other hand, would be expected to remain, marry, and start her own family. Women are highly valued in their culture and as the sole daughter of the 'king', or chief, there is a great deal of pressure to produce a female child so that someone will carry on the tradition of her role as protector in the way she does so.
