Alistair turned on his heel and left her standing there while he exited the garden to seek out what he needed. It did not take him long to find one of the many people taking drinks to and from the main room to stop them and steal four glasses from him. That would make it look like there were others were he was going as well as make it enough water to drink.
These idiot nobles seemed to think the best way to drink was with small glasses that needed to be refilled very sip. There was a long cloth over the person's arm; in case they spilled a drink; so they could clean it right away and he stole that too.
Returning to the garden with two glasses per-hand; he found her right where he left her. She did not look pleased, "Are you ill, again?!" He asked as he approached slowly.

Her hand came up to his wrist and pulled slightly on it. He knew he asked her to speak; but he did not trust her to not scream. He could feel the adrenaline hitting his system as the escape started; and he didn't even know where he was to escape from. It would not matter; he was leaving as soon as he discovered who was behind it so he knew from where this attack came form.
He let her pull his hand from her lips but he grabbed her wrist in an almost painful manner and held it from her body; so she could not reach for any hidden weapons. "If you scream; you're dead." He hold her in a low threatening tone; and loosened his grip on her neck to allow her to speak. "Speak!" He cared not for any emotions that could be faked on her face; for right now he only cared as to why he was here.

The bed dipped under the weight of a body climbing in next too him which told Alistair two things; He was not alone; and he was not where he'd fallen asleep. He never slept in bed for they were too soft and left his body feeling stiff in the mornings. While the body grew closer to him; he took a very quick inventory of what he had around him; with out opening his eyes to alert them he was awake. As far as he could tell; he was naked in the bed; which meant no weapons close by.
The body seemed confidant; as (Clearly a she) moved closer and moved his arm to wrap around her. Holding very still he wanted for the body to cease it's movement before he let his mind think again. He last remembered traveling alone; possibly toward Camelot; but his mind was not set on it for it was still just an idea to return to his mother's people. He had skills to help them; and not purpose in life. Wondering around with out a designation was starting to weight on his soul.
Moving with all the speed a man of his size could summon; he turned over so he was atop the female and wrapped one hand around her neck; near the top to cut off a scream and the other over her lips to help seal the sound in. His weight pinned her down and he finally got a look at whomever was trying to trick him by bringing him here.
Hair fell around his face; and worse he could feel it on his cheeks. What the hell was going on here?! Alistair did not fail to notice that one of his hands had a metal ring on his finger. A sign of slavery? Had he been taken? Looking at the girl he took in the sight of her. Her skin was pale and flawless; and she smelled like no woodland woman; with a subtle type of beauty that working women lost as lines built on their strong and braver faces. He felt a slight engagement with in him at the thought of being in bed with a noble woman; but showed nothing on his face. "Who are you?" He demand.

One moment she was clinging to him in a way that suggested thing; the next she was ill behind Camelot's plans and then next; she was calling his expression a bloody annoyingly girl word! Alistair made sure to return his face to the expressionless mask he often wore; to avoid being called the child like word. Her vocabulary was well into twenty times his; and she decided that cute was fitting?
She reached for his hand and started to pull him deeper into the garden but after a few steps he held firm; refusing to let her pull him any further. "Go. I will find you in a moment." He told her; knowing how uncomfortable she must be with having just been sick. He would collect a glass of water; to help her remove the taste from her lips; and then attempt a conversation with her; about this illness. [You win. NO romance. Just gross facts.]

One moment she was dashing behind plants to return the contends of her belly to the earth and the next she was fussing at him for his language?! It was enough to make him want to curse some more! Alistair drew back an folded his arms as he stared at her with a bit of disbelieve. He cared not if it showed on his face right now; she was the one who made no sense!
he knew that she would be greatly displeased with his actions upon their return but he wanted a Druid doctor to look at her. Someone who knew about magic and knew how to handle the unknown. Not some old man or whoever women turned to when they had this. Maeve perhaps; bit know of something to ease this awkward returning of the meals. He would discuss his plans later with her; but he would take her 'advice' and not bring up the doctor now; like she would not talk of magic now. [You do seem the type to enjoy vomit and dead bodies and mud.]

"I lost both my parents to magic." Alistair had not known that' but it changed nothing. "And I both mine by royalty." Alistair blame was not a river, that it could not flow just one way. Still; innocents were dying and no one cared enough to stop it. Isadora claimed his man would be different; but Alistair had yet to see it. He trusted her enough to let her trust still his actions.
"And how many mothers and fathers were killed at the hands of magic." "Many." He countered in a tone that almost did not care for the loss he spoke of. "They have your protection. The same protection you with hold from Druids, and others. The people who need it as well; hell if not more." He's said this same thing to Isadora before. Alistair did not talk often but a few topics caused him to refrain from being silent. He could not hold his tongue while people died; and he could help them.
"Why was it you kidnapped either of them to begin with." "She was close to you." Alistair had not even learned her name before taking her; "And I wanted the kingdom's embarrassment and attention." Both of which he had earned; and used the best way he knew how. "The servant was a mistake and we sent her back. How would you have done it? Protected your people?"

"Are you sure no one will find us?" No; but it was a risk he was willing to take for her. The others had said the room was never used unless there was a large gathering and they needed the extra supplies or something; or maybe it was just a backup storage or hell; it could have even been that they did not come around until work was over to drop off their crap--he didn't care at the moment; he only wanted her.
"No one will see you exposed." He let his hand move over her until he found the tires that bound the layers of clothing; and started to pull at them to loosen it enough for him to get to where he wanted. He knew that if she did not trust him; she could stop him with but a word; for he would not risk her if she did not wished to be risked. It did not mean that he would not try to change her mind.

"Well, it's definitely your child...it hates twirling too." Alistair had put her down when she demanded; and watched as she spun around and gotten sick (thankfully) some place he could not see. "Bloody hell woman!" He wasn't sure what brought this on but it did not look good. Was she sick or was this a baby thing he was not meant to understand! He didn't even know HOW to ask if she was ill or if it was the baby. She'd blamed the baby, but did that mean the baby was sick?!
Hadn't he heard the braggings of this kingdom's doctor? Some old man who had been working in this place since the dawn of time? Then he remembered the last queen died, and he knew they could not trust the old Pendragon doctor. No; he needed one he could trust. He needed a Druid doctor. Someone who knew things; and could do the job right. [Very romantic. Clearly I am the romantic one between us and you are the awkward one I give you what women want and you puke at my feet.]

"How about if we try a dip?" He had watched a few nobles try it; and even more normal people. Nobles did it formally with hands not touching anything inappropriate. The others used it as an excuse to touch everywhere. While he liked the later; he would give her the former. Moving his hand down to support her back he let her 'fall' back into the dip.
Half way down he pretended to 'drop' her; so she feel quickly for a few inches before he caught her and lifter her up into his arms. One of his arms was behind her back and the other under her legs. Alistair then turned in a circle; then two as if they were dancing. Now he held no far of her toes; or were to put his feet. He looked into her face as he turned them; his lips edged up in on corner since he was a little pleased with his actions. [Blame Disney and an 8 year old for the sap of this.]

"Tell the truth now," When she turned her head away from him; Alistair followed her jaw line to reach her neck and start a slow descent. "Did you memorize the locations of all the disused rooms in the castle?" His chest moved as if a silent chuckle came out; but when he looked up at her, he wasn't smiling; his hands instead moving from her waist to slide up higher; letting his weight be what pined and held her to the door. Had a maid been in here; it would have been awkward as hell to explain.
His first week here; he had started trying to map out the castle. The stone walls made it hell to find his way around; and the unending maze had left him feeling disoriented and lost. Mapping it out; finding the exited and the shortest paths to them from the major points--her room, her throne room, and any place she'd been for most of her day--helped he his bearings and plan his outs for when danger hit.
But that was not how he found this room. It had been spoken about on the training field; for it was a mostly unused room in the middle of the day for maids only visited it int he mornings and evening to get and drop off their cleaning supplies. One of the younger more idiotic knights had suggested it as good place to try to steal a kiss from a maid. "Not all." But he was willing to bet that in her over protective state from her father that she didn't know about some of the other rooms and going ons int he castle.

"You know...I don't think you've quite succeeded in getting the color back in my cheeks yet. I still feel a bit pale." He had a plan to add color to her cheeks but they had no remained in the market long enough; thanks to the drawing of the crowd wherever she went. Still; perhaps it wasn't all bad. He was willing to go with the course she'd set by returning early to the castle.
By this time they were in out of the walk ways that edged the castle; he looked casually over his shoulder for a few seconds before scanning his eyes around him to make sure no eyes had found them before reaching over to grab her arm and pull her sharply down a new hall; careful not to harm her.
The first door down the hall was pushed opened and she was ushered in. It was a storage room of some sort for the maids apparently; but he didn't care. He backed her up swiftly; until her back touched the door and lifted her so he supported her; and she was closer to where he wanted her. With out saying a word he took her mouth in a deep kiss; knowing how to give her all the color she would need.

She was telling him how to move them around the room; yet between the slightly uneven ground thanks to some of the roots of the trees and him not wishing to harm her toes he thought it would be best not to risk moving around the room. At not were he could crush her feet.
Instead he did the same simple steps with his head looking at his feet half the time. In order to distract her from not moving around the room; he turned them so they stayed int he same box but moved another way. There; not it would seem they not moving anywhere. he said nothing while holding her and dancing so he would not break his focus on her feet; and the not crushing them idea.

Alistair liked how the looked on her; and knowing it was something he had given her. "Oh, Alistair, it's lovely," She told him and he leaned down when she moved in to give him the kiss to make it easier for her. "Thank you." He had not missed that she did not use his title but his name; it made him feel like a man instead of a puppet. "You are welcome." He told her in return; pleased that he had done something right; and given her this joy.
"Perhaps we should return to the castle now?" He did not look toward the people around them; but he knew the numbers were growing. "As you wish," He agreed and moved so she could walk past him; and he'd be between most the crowd and herself. That was something knights were trained to do; but he did naturally; for he wanted no harm to ever come to her. He had given her a gift before; when he had broken into her home and left something for her to find; but never given her something that was fitting to her world. He had been annoyed with himself at trying to find a gift but pleased with the out come.

Alistair did not infact like her being the boss; he hated it but in her world he had little choice. The only thing he did not mind her taking charge in was her politic that he cared nothing about. And in bed. The rest of the time he was following her lead because he had no clue as to what to do; but he did not like not being able to take care of her.
He knew that evil times were coming upon them; for he'd had dreams for months about it; but he would not tell her. He was however preparing for it. So when the day came he would be ready to do what he must to keep her safe. Until then; he would move his left foot forward, and step to the right to give her some peace. "You forgot something." He told her; before lifting one of the linked hands up over her head so she could turn under it. That part he'd seen others go; and knew he could stand still for it.

Alistair thought her heart was too big; and until he met her; he had not thought there could be anything wrong with that. After he'd met her he could see the wrongs. She was too open and too trusting; and even when he admitted to fearing this could crash down she did not try to distance her self from the danger. She embraced it; and wanted to help. How did she become so unjaded and stay that way for so long?
"There is nothing you can do;" He told her knowing she could not follow him around and correct his every move. People would start to think she was his lover and he did not want that. For her reputation or for Isadora's pride. "I must learn to be someone I am not; and how to walk in a new world." Still; an idea came to him with his words; "A world not unlike yours in some ways." Maybe there was something she could do? "With rules that are many."

Yes; maybe next time. . . . Or maybe not. He wasn't too fond of the man's things and less fond of how she used the name's name and his 'title'. Alistair walked on down the street; careful not to let her get to far from him as he scanned over the market stalls with out approaching any of them. It was as if he could tell just by looking at the men which out have something that he would wish to buy.
Finally; after passing by over half of the stalls on the lane he came to a man's stall with many stones spread out over the table. Each stones where woven into a mental necklace, to other jewelry meant to adore some part of a woman or man. Once such display held a familiar looking stone, but he knew it wasn't a stone nor gem, but something caught between.
He moved forward slowly and gestured to it. "I have seen this stone before." "Yes, yet is is not a stone." "I am aware." Alistair lifted the necklace but it was too heavy and had too much detail to it. It was distracting; with so much detail to take in. The man however seemed to understand; as many merchant would. He moved to a box behind him and pulled out a bright blue cloth, opening it to display something to Alistair. "Not a gem either."
He reached his hand out for the necklace int he man's hand; touching to softly with one hand. Then he plucked it up and turned to the princess before wrapping ti around her neck. Yes. This was it. This was the what he wanted. "The name escapes me." He told the man; only having seen this stone in his travels far from here.
Lighter then stones and harder to come by then oddly colored heavy gems; these almost perfectly rounded stones were soft to the touch and smooth holding almost no weight to them at all. The color of these were the rarer of the ones he'd seen. In an job he'd once had to steal them; he'd learned not their value (which had been great) but how rare they were.
These ones were black; and molded together to form a chain with light metal work until it came to their center were a white gem of some sort hung int he place of the smooth black stone. "It's called a pearl." Yes; that was the name. He looked at her for a moment; her pale perfect skin contrasted to the solid darkness of the pearls. "Name your price." He told the man with out looking from her; and paid it with out question. Your Gift

When she smiled he knew he'd picked the right opinion for keeping her in a mood mood. "I do not know how;" So he knew there would be mistakes; but at least he was not going back in there and she was smiling. Besides; when she asked for a dance he had not been feeling out of place; and been annoyed at everyone trying to talk to him about politics; or other women or worse his woman.
If doing this mean staying here where he had a sense of peace alone with her then he would make the fool out of himself and dance. Alistair only knew how to begin. Reaching for her; he pulled her into his arms, and took her arms in the 'proper' form. The next step however; he did not know for sure. He knew if he stepped on her; he could injure her badly; or at least ruin her night. So he waited for her instruction instead.

Alistair watched her thinking and knew everything would change once they left this hidden pretend place; for once the exited it would be back to the hot room where too many bodies pressed too close caused the room to heat and with all the candles meant to give light the fresh air was too rare. Men were too drunk to notice mistakes; but not level enough to back down from their own; and women thought they could be too bold with touching and talking.
He did not want to go back. He wanted to stay here; and he needed a plan to keep her here that did not involve fighting with her. After watching her for a few long and silent moments; he decided on his next course of action. It was something that he wasn't looking forward too but apparently she was. He knew he was about to make a fool of himself; and it annoyed the bloody hell out of him; but he rather do it here were they were alone rather then in there were everyone could see. Besides; he could use the reason to hold her close.
"Isadora;" He used her name since apparently he never used it for good things; "Will you do me the honor of a dance?" The words felt silly on his tongue but they were the words other knights had used to ask ladies to dance.

He didn't care if they were in public; but knowing she did would make him play by her rules. He wasn't fond of everyone's eyes on him and his but he knew this was something he would be forced to grow used to; since she was a more then a noble here. Everyone seemed to know her and want her attention if only for a few seconds. The man who won it however; was the merchant.
Alistair stood a half step behind her as she looked; and then looked to him. If deciding to buy her something was simple; doing it suddenly became annoying hard. They both seemed to stare at him and expect something from him. Looking at the good before he saw nothing he even liked; but he wasn't sure what she liked.
Everything looked heavy and complicated and large. Some were overly intricate and some were thick and looked too heavy for one to wear for hours with out groaning. After a new moments he spoke; "I see nothing that would be a gift." If he was going to do this; he wanted something perfect.

She was right to doubt his willingness to speak; for he was not fond of speaking. Not finding the words easy in his mind; or they not coming out as he wished them too. "I will try." It would be easier with her then with any other. There was less fear of mockery and more ease between them. Still; he often doubted he sounded as 'flowery' at the other men in the court; hell, most the time he rather not sound as flowery as them. Some of them sounded like idiots event o him; and if he thought people talked like fools then he knew they were.
After the kiss; she told him he drove her insane. He chuckled once deep in his chest; amused to know the feeling was mutual. She drove him insane as well; so it was only fair he returned the favor; even if he did not know how the hell he did it. He thought he was being nice; and that she'd be pleased. At appeared she was. He moved his large hand to rest on the side of her face; noticing how small she was compared to him. No child of his was bound to be small; and he'd heard women in the druids camps talk about large babies. He would have to keep his mind wide open; and hope he did not dream of her. "Names are important with my people. Strong names breed great men." Or women. "We will have to think very hard." They had time; but he liked the idea of thinking of a name for his son--or daughter.
